OC-insert with no knowledge of canon. Mostly he just fucks around and finds out. Lighthearted fic, not very serious at all.
Hibari Yayoi squints up at the sky, watching a batch of blindingly white clouds drift across the horizon.
"Hmm."
What nicely shaped clouds, he thinks.
"Baa," a lamb replies.
"You're right," Yayoi nods, "I think it's about time I show my face at home. How long has it been? Five months?"
"Baaaa."
He pulls his phone out of his bag and checks the date, ignoring the 56 unread messages and 34 missed phone calls he's left completely untouched. It's nearing the end of April, he notices with a spreading grin. "It's been half a year already! Whoops! Well at least if I go back now, I'll make it in time for sakura viewing!"
"Baa?"
"No wonder Kyoya's so pissed. He probably thinks I'm going to miss his birthday. I wouldn't do that to my cutest little brother!"
"Baa!"
"I should get going as soon as possible, huh?"
Yayoi sits up and brushes a few blades of grass off his shoulders before making a grab for his belongings, but doesn't forget to shoot a charming smile at the sheep at his side.
"Thanks, you guys were all such wonderful hosts!"
"Baa."
"Baa! Baa!"
"Baaaaa."
He laughs and begins to wade out of the sea of wool that's converged around him. Fields of green stretch for miles and miles around the bleating herd, no other human in sight. It must be a peaceful scene from afar; just blue sky, green meadows, and a blob of white.
Now you might be curious; where in the world is Hibari Yayoi? Well, it just so happens that's a question his relatives, friends, and enemies would all like to ask you.
Because unfortunately for everyone in his acquaintance, the elusive Hibari Yayoi has what others would call a massive headache: a chronic case of wanderlust and absolutely no sense of shame.
"Back to Namimori!" he announces cheerfully.
And back he goes, to a lovely little town that tends to attract chaos and a murderous little brother who's ready to attack him on sight.
"Kyo~ya~! I'm baaaack!"
Kyoya snarls and lunges.
