DIASLAIMER: I do not own STAR WARS, obviously.

A/N: my headcanon of why the "Skyguy" nickname was so quickly dropped and so rarely used... And thank the Force for that. I don't know what Filoni was thinking while creating this abominal, extremely un-Jedi, motif! However I do not know much about American savoir-vivre...

SUMMARY: the first lesson Ahsoka had as a padawan was conducted by her master's master.

SKYGUY

Praise in public, criticize in private. - proverb

"youn-padawan, could you come here for a minute" Obi-Wan motioned Ahsoka to come closer to him, separating her from the rest of the camp

"come with me" She followed the jedi master to a back of the camp.

Ahsoka had a bad feeling about this.

"have you lost your mind, padawan?" Obi-wan finally spoke as they're out of earshot.

Ahsoka was taken aback by how displeased Kenobi was. His demeanor was the opposite of what she saw at the temple - He was considered as one of the nicest masters. There was not a single youngling at the temple that had ever seen him angry.

"I don't understand-" She murmured.

"how could you even think it was a good idea to adress to your new teacher in such manner! In front of me, his collegue, and the worst of all: in front of his troops?!"

"yes, but- but-" Tears welled up in Ahsoka's eyes. She hung her head low, her hands were fidgeting with the light, pink piece of her clothing. "Sky- Master Anakin didn't look offended, nor hurt, nor angry... or- the clone troopers were laughing... but- it was a good laugh!" Ahsoka tried to reason with the older Jedi.

"You've embarrased your own master in front of his men! Single handedly underminded his credibility that he worked on for months! You've made him a laughing stock!" Obi-Wan explained with a stern face and cold tone of voice "From now on you're not allowed to adress anyone older than you as anything less than the title they hold; no cutesy nicknames, like the one you came up with just now, not even a full name if is not preceded by official title, understood?"

"yes... master Kenobi" Ahsoka agreed quietly.

"know your place, padawan... and don't forget to bow properly. You're dismissed." with that Obi-wan left Anakin's new apprentice.

Once the jedi master dissapeared from her field of vision, Ahsoka sat down to a nearets crate. She curled up into herself.

Thanks the Force she was alone, so no-one would see her cry. She hoped that no-one would find her here, especially Rex!
