Chapter 1: Memories

Chapter Summary: Liam and Austin wish to plan an Easter Egg Hunt like they had when they were little.

"Dad, we should do an Easter Egg Hunt for Meredith and Amelia's kids," Liam says entering the living room where Cormac is sitting reading a medical journal. He closes his journal and turns his attention to both his boys.

"Like the ones we used to do with mom," Austin adds looking excited about the activity.

"Are you guys sure?" Cormac says, thinking back to the amazing Easter Egg Hunts Abigail would plan for their boys.

"Yes! We have time to plan as we are on spring break this week," Liam reminds Cormac.

"If you guys are willing to plan, go ahead. I'll check with Meredith on their Easter weekend schedules. Can both of you handle the shopping too?" Cormac asks.

"Thanks dad! Yes we can shop. Ellie should have pink eggs," Austin says.

"Definitely. How about yellow for Zola, Green for Bailey and Blue for Scout?" Liam adds.

"And no candy for Scout. Mom wouldn't let us give candy to little kids," Austin adds, thinking back to the last Easter Egg Hunt his mom organized where her friend's little boy got blocks and a stuffed bunny instead of chocolate.

"Amelia would appreciate that," Cormac comments, heading to make a new pot of tea. He's so happy that Austin is coming around to hanging out with Meredith and her family and having positive memories of Abby that don't send him into depression or anger. He sends off a quick message to Meredith to confirm her Easter weekend schedule, asking if the kids are free on Sunday morning. He quickly gets a reply back informing him everyone is off on Sunday and that a big family brunch and Easter baskets are their normal routine.

"Sunday Morning works. No one is working then. We've been invited for Waffle Sundays. Can you please include Harriet Avery? She's a little younger than Ellis," Cormac asks.

"Harriet is cute. We can definitely include her," says Liam.

"Can móraí and daideó come for brunch too?" Austin asks knowing they were picking up their grandparents today.

"Yes. Meredith knows they are in town for Easter."
