I've got you.

Wind whipped round the manor, the force of it rattled the windows. Hermione could hear the old trees in the wood screaming in pain as the wind ripped through them. She whimpered and clutched at the shoulder next to her.
Draco had fallen asleep, his face buried into her chest. He had had a bad day. Some days he could not forgive himself for the horrible things he had done as a teenager, the horrible things he had seen and not been brave enough to stop. On these days he would do the bare minimum he had to, he would barely speak, his face would hardly move. He would stare morosely into space, trapped in his bad memories. Thankfully, these days were less frequent now that so much time had passed, but there was still only one thing that could get him out of it, her. He'd grip her tight, his face buried into her chest and sob. Draco never made a sound when he cried, he still didn't dare. His shoulders shook and tears fell but he never made a sound. She stroked his hair and reminded him of all the good he'd done; how different he was now. He was their hero. 'I've got you; I love you.'
He'd finally fallen asleep, their legs intwined, her chin resting on his head, the soft blonde strands caressing her cheek. The next blast of wind howled down the chimney, Hermione shuddered.
Draco stirred. He pushed himself up the bed until she was facing his broad chest. His strong arms pulled her to him as he rolled onto his back. She tucked herself into his side, her head resting on his broad shoulder. He kissed her head gently. 'I've got you, you're safe.'
She gripped him tight, tilted her head and gently kissed his collarbone.
'Daddy.' She heard the small voice call to Draco over the wind. A little shaking voice that threatened tears at any moment. She knew they were stood in the shadows by the door. They'd be holding hands, bed hair and rumpled pyjamas, wide eyed and staring at the bed. Draco turned towards the little voice; his free arm outstretched towards them. 'Come here.'
Two sets of bare feet padded quickly across the room. They jumped onto the bed and burrowed into Draco's other side. His arms wrapped tightly around them all. Even on his bad days, he was always their hero.
