Once again, don't own Miraculous.
Again, definitely own this story.
Enjoy!
"Oh, Adrien," Ladybug gushed, as she gazed lovingly into the equally adoring eyes of Adrien, "could you be any more perfect than you already are?"
"My lady," a besotted Adrien simpered back, "that means so much to me. That I, plain, boring, normal Adrien Agreste, could ever be perfect for you." He fluttered his eyelashes. "I am unworthy of your love, Ladybug."
"Oh, Adrien," Ladybug cooed, "you are more worthy than you think." She blushed. "It's me who is unworthy. You could love anyone in the world and you chose me. Me, the not-so-amazing, madly clumsy, uninspiring Ladybug." Ladybug frowned. "If you knew who I really was under the mask, you wouldn't love me at all."
"Never, Ladybug," Adrien denied. His eyes shined. "I would love you with or without the mask! The mask doesn't change who you are deep down." He leaned in closer. "Knowing who the girl behind that mask is will makes me love you even more."
"Besides, I already know who you are. You're the girl of my dreams, with hair as dark as night, pretty bluebell eyes; I don't need to know who you are under that strong disguise to know this: I love you, Ladybug." Adrien breathed out.
"And I love you, Adrien." Ladybug lovingly stroked his cheek. "Who wouldn't love you? You, with hair that shines like the sun and eyes a gorgeous green. I don't need to know your innermost thoughts and dreams to know who you are-radiant, carefree, dreamy: Adrien, the fragrance."
Adrien swooned. "Oh, milady, you even have the lines of my perfume ad memorized. You really are the girl of my dreams!"
Ladybug sighed. "Alas, my inner compass wavers between being with you and defeating Hawk Moth. If he wasn't around, I would not hesitate to take my mask off for you, Hot Stuff."
Ladybug sighed again, this time dreamily."If only we were statues-things would be so much simpler. The two of us, molded together in the plaster of destiny-marble to marble, wax lips against wax lips! Entwined for all of eternity~!" She leaned in close as if to kiss him. Adrien fluttered his eyes shut and leaned in.
But Ladybug hesitated and pulled away before their lips could meet, causing Adrien to pout. "But...we can't."
"Ladybug, My Lady, we belong together. We love each other. We're meant to be together. I just know it!" Adrien clasped Ladybug's hands. "How can it be wrong to love you?"
"Adrien, I love you," Ladybug said, "I want the two of us to be together. I really do."
"But," she continued sadly, "as long as Hawk Moth is around, we can't. It's too dangerous. I care about you too much to put you in danger, Adrien. You mean so much to me."
"I don't care, Ladybug!" cried out Adrien. He grasped Ladybug's hands even more tightly. "I love you! I wanna be with you forever!"
"If Hawk Moth is the problem, then I 'll help you stop him! We'll fight him together!"
An astonished Ladybug stared at him. "Adrien-" Ladybug began.
Adrien interrupted her,"No, listen, Ladybug, I know I'm not a hero like you and Chat Noir, but their is something that you and I have that no one else have. Not even Hawk Moth."
Ladybug's eyes shined as she breathed out the answer, "Love!"
Adrien nodded furiously, "Yes, love!" He practically started jumping up and down on his feet. "As long as we have love on our side, we can defeat Hawk Moth."
"Together, united, we can do anything! We'll be more powerful and free than anything, even Hawk Moth himself!" Adrien fantasized.
"Yes." Ladybug said slowly. "Yes, you're right, Adrien!" She exclaimed more excitedly. "We can do anything together. Together, with Chat Noir, we can stop Hawk Moth from hurting Paris!"
Adrien continued on, "And once we win, we can get run off to an island-"
*"-get married-" Ladybug chimed in.
"-buy a house-"
"-have three kids-"
"-and a hamster named-!"
"-and a hamster named-!"
"Multimouse? What the heck are you doing?"
Multimouse froze in the middle of her play. Guiltily, she turned around and was immediately caught in the green gaze of Chat Noir, Paris' resident superhero.
"Ch-Chat Noir?" Multimouse squeaked. "I was...um, I was..."
She desperately tried to come up with something. Something that could explain why she was at the Musée Grévin past midnight on a school night, using a miraculous that she most certainly was not supposed to have in the first place.
More importantly, something that could explain why she had cloned herself into two Multimice that were currently moving the Ladybug and Adrien wax statues into a position that suggested something more than innocent and friendly.
Come on, brain, say something! Say something quick!
"Ummm...playing with wax statues?"
Say something better, say something better!
"Because I am practicing for a play in school? About two lovers who can't be together because of Hawk Moth?"
"..."
The second Multimouse (the cloned one) smacked herself on the forehead, an action that miraculously went unnoticed by Chat Noir nor the original Multimouse. (A/N: See what I did there? Miraculously? Haha, ok, I'm shutting up now.)
"...Multimouse, are you okay?" Chat Noir tilted his head in a way that did not remotely seem cute to the Multimice at all. Nope, not at all.
(It totally did.)
"I'm fine!" Multimouse One squeaked.
"Yeah, fine!" Multimouse Two also squeaked.
Both Multimice paused as a thought occured to them. "What are you doing here, Chat Noir?"
Chat Noir, who suspiciously was wearing a bowtie, and was holding a red rose in his hand and what looked to be a love letter in the other, froze.
(What could you be up to, Chat Noir?)
Chat Noir stared at the Multimice. The Multimice stared right back.
"...I won't say anything if you don't say anything?"
**"...I won't say anything if you don't say anything?"
"Deal!"
"Deal!"
The two (three) heroes shook hands and parted ways, vowing never to speak of the incident again.
In case you were confused, italicized quotes were Ladybug speaking, while bold quotes were the Multimice speaking together.
Have a nice April Fools Day, everyone, stay safe and watch out for the Kick Me signs.
They just might appear on you if you don't review.
