44 Cats: Baby Brawl

The sky was dotted with clouds as Pilou was spending time with her friend Baby Pie. They were currently in the front yard of the house where Pilou lived, playing catch with a large bouncy ball. Pilou was bouncing the ball on her head while her diaper-clad friend hopped from foot to foot excitedly. Pilou then kicked the ball towards Baby Pie, who impressively caught it and started to balance on top of it.

At the end of the balancing act, Baby Pie leapt off the ball and performed his "Super Ball Kick," shooting the ball towards Pilou at rapid speed. The speed was too much for the kitten however and it bonked against her head, scattering stars across her vision before she fell over with her eyes spinning. The ball ricochet off of Pilou's head towards a wall of the house, then to the wall, before getting impaled on a stray tree branch, causing it to deflate and flop down from the tree.

Pilou recovered and went over to where the ball landed. Baby Pie looked at the ball with a sad look flopped down on his bottom. Pilou comforted her friend and told him that they would go to the toy store and get a new ball for both of them. Baby Pie lit up at this and hugged Pilou before practically dragging both of them to the store.

They eventually made it to the toy store, not realizing that Pilou's other friend Lola was there as well with her baby daughter Hope, who Pilou babysat in the past. They were there looking for a new toy for Hope to play with. Their paths eventually crossed with Hope spying a single shiny red ball alone on a shelf, which was also spotted by Baby Pie. Both of their paws were on the ball at the same time, which led to the two pairs meeting face to face.

While Pilou and Lola were delighted to see each other and started chatting immediately, Baby Pie and Hope were trying to pull the ball towards each other, glaring and hissing while doing so. Their respective caretakers didn't notice this until a short while after their exchange started, leading them to pry the two kittens away from the ball. Pilou and Lola wanted them to talk this out in a civil manner, but the infants had other plans, they both wanted that ball and would do anything to get it. To them, it was a battle for the ball.

Catching the eyes of both kittens was a toy boxing ring in another section of the store. Its canvas was made of plush with big, padded corner posts and ropes made of soft rope. It was obviously designed so that kids could have a boxing match without getting seriously hurt, a perfect setting for their dispute. They both ran towards the ring with Pilou and Lola following after them.

When they got there, both Hope and Baby Pie were standing in opposite corners of the ring while glaring at each other. Both of them were now wearing plush mittens which served as boxing gloves that came with the ring, Baby Pie's were blue while Hope's were pink. Pilou and Lola were standing at the corners of their respective kittens, not wanting to see them fight each other. The two kittens walked to the center of the ring and held their mittens up before starting to circle each other.

Pilou covered her eyes, not wanting to see her two favorite kittens get hurt. She then felt a tap on her shoulder and opened her eyes to see Lola motioning her to follow away from the ring. Lola had a plan to get the two kittens to stop fighting, which involved going to the back of the store. Pilou was unsure but followed through all the same. Meanwhile, Baby Pie and Hope were still circling each other. Baby Pie thought that it was going to be easy knocking out Hope, he was slighter older and bigger than her after all. His thoughts were dashed when the smaller kitten suddenly dashed forward and started pelting his belly with rapid punches before giving an uppercut that sent the diaper-clad kitten to the mat, eyes spinning round and round.

Hope laughed at her downed opponent, causing Baby Pie to sit up and glare at her, no one laughed at him and got away with it. Hope didn't even see him dash towards her and throw two hooks to her head, followed by three quick jabs to the nose and cross that sent her leaning against one of the corner posts with a glazed look in her eyes. She shook her head and pounded her mittens together, causing Baby Pie to do the same, this battle was truly on now.

The match continued with both kittens getting the best over each other in a variety of ways. Baby Pie rocked Hope's head sideways with a hard punch to the cheek. Hope held Baby Pie in a corner while she pounded his belly. Baby Pie sent Hope careening towards the ropes and back again in a paddleball effect. Hope always readied a hard uppercut whenever Baby Pie was dazed and swaying. Baby Pie even sent Hope into several dazed states by punching both sides of her head at once.

The battle waged on like this for a while before both kittens were staring each other down in the middle of the ring. Both had drowsy looks on their faces and could barely keep their mittens up. They looked at each other through lidded eyes as they swayed gently. Both of them were about to throw their final punch before a shout interrupted them. It was Pilou and Lola, holding up the ball from the shelf as well as one similar to it.

They both went to the backroom of the store to find the same ball from the shelf so both Baby PIe and Hope can have a ball of their own. Both kittens looked at each other once more and smiled before hugging in apology. Before they could break the hug however, both of them fell onto the ring floor fast asleep, their fight finally taking its toll on them. Pilou and Lola d'awwed at this scene before scooping them up and leaving the store after paying for the balls. Baby Pie snuggled his new ball as he was carried off by Pilou, maybe he could play with his new friend someday.
