Ginny couldn't sleep. It was just one of those night when you tried so hard to fall asleep, but it just wouldn't come. She kept tossing and turning throughout the night. Even picked up Hogwarts: A History from Hermione's bedside table but that didn't bore her to sleep. So she finally got up when the clock struck 4:30 AM. There was no use sleeping so she might as well go and watch that sunrise. Maybe go on a morning walk.

She didn't bother changing knowing no one will be up so early in the morning. Wearing a flimsy top and a pair of shorts, she walked out of her dorm and into the grounds. Ginny wasn't a morning person, so didn't expect it to be so dark out here. Ooh, I've never gotten up before sunrise, she thought. It was dark and slightly damp, but Ginny enjoyed the feel of the wind against her skin.

However, turns out, Ginny was wrong. She wasn't alone. There was the entire Slytherin team before her eyes practicing quidditch. She cursed under her breath and took another route. How would her day go now that she had seen Slytherin people first thing in the morning? The thought scared her.

She walked towards the lake, hoping to find some quiet there, but her hopes were dashed. A group of second year Hufflepuffs were sprawled on the grass, laughing. What's wrong with people? It's 4:50 AM for god's sake. She walked back to the quidditch ground. At least, the Slytherins won't disturb her. She shuddered thinking of the time when a second year student approached her for tips on how to woo Harry Potter.

They weren't together anymore, and apparently it was a front page news. Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley break up, turn to page 6 to find out more. It wasn't the truth. Page 6 said Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley's break up was an amicable one, which was true. Harry got tired of Ginny and wanted some time to himself. It was the worst reason anyone could come up with. Hermione sent a howler to the writer of the article and he issued an apology in the newspaper the next day. But the damage had been done. Ginny got hundreds of angry messages from Harry's fans. She didn't dare open any. Apparently, Harry got a few too. Some magazines published pictures of him with other girls, and everyone thought Harry was cheating on Ginny. But most of this pictures were with Hermione and Luna.

Least to say, it was a scandalous event and they were all very glad to return to Hogwarts. They were all in the final year together. It was so much fun watching the scowl on Ron's face when she got more marks on her homework. She wasn't as good as Hermione, but she managed to do better in Defence against the Dark Arts, which secretly irked Hermione.

Ginny was walking around the quidditch ground, trying to ignore the Slytherins who were staring at her. She wished she had brought Hermione's iPod because it was getting boring walking around aimlessly.

"Weasley." Someone called out to her.

Ginny turned around to find Daphne walking towards her. She hadn't expected Daphne to be here. After all, she wasn't a part of the quidditch team. Daphne wasn't like the other Slytherins. That is to say, she didn't hate Ginny. They were always civil to each other and sometimes they even made small talk.

"Hey Daph. What are you doing here?"

"Blaise asked me to come and watch him play. He's been annoying me for days and I thought today I could just get done with it." She rolled her eyes as she spoke. "What about you?"

"Oh, I couldn't sleep."

"But here you are ruining their practice. Very smart."

"Ruining? How?" Ginny asked.

Did they think she was here to spy on them? That used to be Fred and George's job. Nope, that was too painful to think about. She focused back on Daphne who had a huge grin on her face. Daphne put her arm around Ginny and spun her around.

"Those guys can't take their eyes off your legs."

Ginny blushed a deep shade of crimson. Indeed, the guys were staring at her. She looked down at her shorts, which were a little too short. And it wasn't common to see a girl wearing shorts around Hogwarts.

"Perhaps they are looking at you Daph."

Ginny meant it. She was drop dead gorgeous. Almost everyone she knew had a crush on Daphne. She was like one of those woman on the muggle magazine covers Hermione hated. Daphne winked at her.

"Or perhaps it's both of us standing right next to each other." Then she whispered into Ginny's ears. "Are you sure it wasn't your intention to distract them?"

"No, not at all."

"Then you know how to win your next match. Wear that and Slytherin won't be able to score a single goal." Daphne said.

Ginny laughed.

"Here look." Daphne whispered. Then she put her arm around Ginny and called out to Blaise. "You are on fire babe." She shouted, and Ginny waved. Blaise's jaw literally dropped and the Quaffle passed through the hoop.

The girls laughed louder.

"Blaise, get your head in the game." Ginny found a very angry Draco Malfoy shouting at Blaise. He turned around to glare at Ginny. He was probably the only guy not ogling her and Ginny felt a tinge of disappointment.

"Okay let's go. Or Draco will kill us." Daphne smiled and led her away.

"Weasley."

Ginny found Draco catch up to her as she walked to the great hall for breakfast.

"Malfoy."

"The next time you feel like inviting yourself to our practice, please wear something appropriate."

Ginny couldn't believe him. What a pig! "I will wear what I want to wear Malfoy. You should ask your team to keep their eyes to themselves."

Malfoy gave his usual scowl and walked over to the Slytherin table. Ginny sat down at her table and found everyone staring at her.

"What?" Ginny asked.

"Why was that git talking to you?" Ron looked like he was ready to murder Draco.

"It was nothing." Ginny said.

"Did he insult you?" Harry asked.

"No, it was seriously nothing."

Ginny had no intention of telling them about her little morning walk. She would tell Hermione and Luna of course. But later, when Harry and Ron weren't near them. Her eye met Daphne's and she winked at Ginny. She winked back and smiled. Whatever happened this morning was fun, and Ginny hadn't had so much fun in a very long time.
