" Clara,we don't eat candies at night. We already told you that. " A man and his wife were convincing their four-years-old daughter to eat her dinner. But she was resistant and pull her theatrical skills to use by putting on her disgusted mask and pushing the plate away. So the mother sat right next to her and talked to her kindly.
" Listen,I'll tell you something : if you eat your vegetables,you will have twice the candies you've had today. "
" Really ?! Yay ! " That made her dive instantly into her food and forcefully inserting the mini carrots into her mouth.
" Are you sure about that,Mary ?! " The father wondered,worried.
" Don't worry. It's surely not candies that will kill her. "
" Have you forgotten about the caries she could have ? "
" I'm watching on her. Just go to bed. "
" Why do I have the feeling I'm the only child here ? " The man asked,rubbing his short red hairs with his own hand. Then he went to the bedroom.
After that,mother and daughter passed time eating the vegetables,candies and also playing some childish games. At 11 PM,Clarissa was deeply sleeping. So her mother carried her like we carry the married woman and led her to her bedroom,gently setting her down to the pink bed with an unicorn design.
Then she got out quietly,careful not to wake her up again before to head in her own bedroom,where her husband is waiting for her. He was already under the blanket,beginning to get sleepy. But fortunately,Mary woke him up at last with a kiss to the right cheek. He turned around and smiled to her.
" She is sleeping ? "
" Yep. "
" Cool. Now is finally time to... " The man prepared himself to hug his love,but she stopped him,grabbing his forearm and getting his arm away from her.
" Sorry,Harry. But I've got to call Wendy for the wedding. "
" Ah right. Nearly forgot about her wedding. "
" I'll give her a call then I'll head to her house. I might be returning after a long while. "
" That's what you always do. " Harry lied on the bed,hands behind his skull. " But hopefully,after you come back,you always with us the double of the time you left. "
" I love you,Harry. " She quickly kissed him on the lips. " I love you too,Mary. " Then he slept before sleeping,eyes closed.
Mary directly got up and headed out of the room. She went to the living room. Because of her pink pyjama not having any pocket,she left her smartphone on the table. She took it and dialed the number before calling her contact.
" Good evening... Theresa. " She named a mysterious woman she knew,who was not Wendy.
" Mary. You finally alone ? " An old,sweet and low-pitched woman voice answered on the phone.
" Clara and Harry are finally sleeping. You tried to call me five hours ago. What's the matter ? "
" The Order has called me again. It seems like there's a new client who gave us a command. "
" Already ?! The last mission was like two weeks ago... "
