Darkness had fallen in Noxus. There was a strange smell in the air, a mixture of an approaching storm and ... smoke. You remember this smell, had noticed it before. For a moment you stop in the middle of the cobblestone street, you were nearly trampled on because of your sudden loss of movement. The man who pushed past you scolded, but you couldn't even hear the words anymore.
There was something there, a memory, in the distance of your mind. It pushed itself into the front of your mind and yet could not be grasped. The images were already playing in your mind's eye and yet you couldn't recognize them. To you it felt like you had looked into the past for a moment.
You still stood there motionless, your thoughts circling around this one scenario, which felt so real before your eyes that you actually thought you could have been transported back into this time. Yes, your memory was fuzzy, but gradually you began to understand. What you saw was the time when the child soldiers were being trained. The same smell hung in the air.
Back then.
A sense of discomfort flashed through you like lightning. There was far more to this scenario than that. This face. The sight of a person you hadn't seen in over ten years. You looked at him before he left, he returned your gaze. His eyes harboured the same stormy blue. You knew each other, even if only briefly. But what was his name?
His name...
Your mouth felt dry. It felt like invisible hands were closing around your throat. Inevitably you had to swallow and a pain ran through your throat.
His name was ... Kayn.
