A/n: I hope you enjoy this new story I thought up
From decades past, starting with the USS Monitor and the CSS Virginia, the age of steel began in the eyes of naval warfare.
From that fateful battle of 1862, technology progressed and steel warships advance further and further as more battles were fought.
The true rise of these ships was the creation of the British HMS Dreadnought, a new type of ship that, upon creation, instantly making every single ship that existed before it obsolete.
This was the beginning of the naval arms race that would see Britain and Germany race to create bigger and better warships and through the events of World War 1 and 2, many other nations joined in and many famous ships were created.
Skip to the future of 2025 and we come into a new age once more, but not every age that comes to pass is a good one.
This was the age of monsters, and it struck as early as 2015, a decade before.
To start our tale, it began with the occasional merchant ship going missing, but it was shrugged off as a freak accident and swept under the rug.
After many more instances throughout the year the governments across the world began to feel suspicious, but after a yearly increase in the number of typhoons, hurricanes and overall bad weather, it was once more swept under the rug.
It was not until 5 years later when survivors of these missing ships told the tale of monsters with massive guns almost fused to their body that obliterated their ship, but thanks to the hubris of humanity, these incidents were covered up and swept under in fear of panic.
Now we get to 2025, where what would be known as "The Great Awakening" occurred.
Why was it called The Great Awakening?
Simple, because it was a wake-up call to humanity that their position as the dominant race was being contested.
Eldritch abominations rose from the watery depths of the abyss and laid siege upon the coastal cities and towns of humanity.
This was terrible for humanity, but even worse for the magical community.
Why?
Well, the governments adamantly chalked the creatures up to being magical creatures and, thanks to their instant worldwide appearance, it would be impossible for any of their teams tasked with keeping the magical community secret to Obliviate, make people forget, what was going on.
It was becoming a possibility that their long-held Statute of Secrecy was in the process of being blown to pieces and that muggles would know of their existence.
It became even worse for them when Kanmusu started to arise.
These Kanmusu, or shipgirls to put it simply, were spirits of long dead ships from the past that had been summoned back to protect humanity from these now coined "Abyssals".
The paranoia of the magical world (which only counted for some countries) was coming onto its head and none more was it seen with Magical Britain, which had only recently come out of a war with one of the most evil wizards of all time in 2019.
The blood purity and corruption had run rampant through the once might magical community and it had certainly taken its toll, but I digress.
In any case, the war had ended when Harry Potter, a mere 15 months old, had, in the British Magical Community's eyes, "defeated" the most feared dark lord Voldemort and saved it from destruction.
That's all we need for now as we skip to July 31st 2030, Harry's 12th birthday.
Harry groaned as he felt his mind come back into consciousness.
Yesterday had been brutal for the young boy and the aching pain he felt was proof of it.
First off, he was a wizard and to start off his first year he had killed/disintegrated his defence professor (who was willingly possessed by Voldemort)Quirrel. Yeah, pretty traumatising. Add that he faced a troll, a Cerberus named Fluffy (sort of), found a dying unicorn (killed by QuirrelMort)and when you add on that it was all trying to get to stop Voldemort from getting the Philosophers stone, something that can give you eternal life, it was pretty strange.
When he got home to his abusive relatives, the Dursleys it wasn't much better either.
Thanks to the fact that his uncle Vernon, a mangy fat whale of a man, missed out on a promotion thanks to a recent Abyssal attack, he decided to take it out on Harry by giving extra chores and no food for nearly a week, which quite appropriately had him starved.
Through the events of beatings, no food and many, many chores, Harry was very, very exhausted and in quite a bit of pain.
It was at its worst yesterday when he got his birthday beating by Dudley, his fat and spoiled cousin. He got no food, no comfort and was just to do his chores and got to bed.
Now we get to here, with Harry waking up.
He could feel his body already sitting up as his head resting on the edge of the uncomfortable bed.
As he groggily shifted, his body creaked oddly as he creaked open his eyes to a blurry mess of colours that was his room.
'Ugh, I'm so tired.' Harry groaned inwardly, putting his hand to his face to rub out the tiredness in his eyes.
The odd thing was though, was as his eyes cleared his hand and arm looked strange.
'Is it just me or does my hand look white?' Harry thought tiredly.
As his eyes cleared up, he confirmed that yes, his arm did in fact look white.
Fair to say, that got him up. Swivelling around, his eyes met a dirty full body mirror where he lay shocked at the reflection before him.
"W-what the heck!?" Harry rasped quietly in shock; his throat still sore from a blow to the neck.
His skin was a snow white and his eyes a glistening blue as below him he seemed to sit in a grey steel boat with a mouth and grates for eyes. He had a buoy strapped across his waist and wore and loose white dress white exposed most of his already white skin.
The only thought in his mind at this time was, 'WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO ME!?'
At Hogwarts, in the Headmasters quarters, Dumbledore snapped at attention as he looked to his left to see various devices and trinkets whizzing and whirring.
"Harry!" Dumbledore gasped breathlessly in shock.
