Author's Note: Written for my best friend's birthday. Love these two, rated T for the implied slash. Enjoy!
"Hey," Matt greeted as he entered the room.
"Hey," Tai replied warmly.
"You okay?" The brunet's eyebrows rose. Matt rolled his eyes and settled against the arm of Tai's chair with his arms folded. "Our younger siblings' controllers got an upgrade."
He nodded. "I'm glad." Matt's eyebrows disappeared beneath his hairline. "They spent so much of the experience in our shadows, didn't they?" The blonde nodded with a sigh, unfolding his arms. "They have the chance to bloom into who they really are." Matt's lips quirked up at the corners. "Going there really helps you to learn your best, and worst, qualities."
"It does," he agreed with a smile. "And if you're lucky, you learn how to lessen your worst qualities."
Tai smiled brightly. "We managed it, eventually." The blonde huffed out a laugh. "It's time for the next generation to take on the mantle. But we can still support them, give them advice and guidance when they need it."
Matt smirked. "How ever will we spend our free time?"
Tai tugged the blonde down onto his lap. "I'm sure we can think of something," he breathed. Matt chuckled wickedly and learnt forward for a kiss.
