The Ultimate Betrayal

Today is the day it may be a cloudy day. But today is the day that Inuyasha. And his friends Kagome, Miroku, and Sango have been waiting for. Today they are going to put an end to Naraku. They left Shippo, Kirara, and Kohaku at their campsite. The group isn't going to wait for Sesshomaru. It's just Naraku so they believe that they can handle it. The group has tracked Naraku to his latest hideout. Inuyasha growled and unsheathed Tessaiga.

"Come out and fight you fucking coward!" yelled Inuyasha

The group heard chuckling then Naraku and his saimyosho appeared. Naraku sent a bunch of demons and saimyosho at Sango and Miroku. Inuyasha took off his robe of the fire rat. And draped it over Kagome's head to protect her from the saimyosho. Then he turned his attention to Naraku. Naraku put up his barrier and smirked at Inuyasha. Just then Tessaiga looked like it was covered in a diamond coating. Inuyasha swung his sword and yelled "Adamant Barrage!" The adamant barrage broke Naraku's barrier. Naraku sent demons and saimyosho at Inuyasha and Kagome. Kagome fire her sacred arrow and Inuyasha swung Tessaiga and yelled "Wind Scar!" The two attacks killed all of the demons and the saimyosho. Luckily Inuyasha was only stung twice.

Inuyasha glared at Naraku and asked "Is that all you got?"

"I will show you what I've got." smirked Naraku

Sudden;ly a huge ball of red energy appeared above Naraku.

"Get ready Kagome." stated Inuyasha

Kagome nodded and got ready with an arrow. Naraku sent the red ball of energy at Inuyasha and Kagome. Inuyasha swung Tessaiga and yelled "Backlash Wave!" At the same time Kagome fired her sacred arrow. The two attacks combined and was sent back at Naraku. When the dust cleared Inuyasha can see Naraku's head is left. Tessaiga turned black and Inuyasha yelled "Rot in the underworld Naraku! Medio Zangetsuha!" The medio zangetsuha sent what was left Naraku to the underworld. Miroku and Sango ran up to Inuyasha and Kagome.

"Is everyone alright?" asked Inuyasha

Sango, Miroku, and Kagome all nodded. Kagome walked over where Naraku was. She picked up the complete black sacred jewel. Not long after she picked it up. She purified the jewel. Inuyasha sighed in relief and sheathed Tessaiga.

"Ok sacred jewel you've caused nothing but. Pain and misfortune I wish for you to disappear forever." stated Kagome

The sacred jewel glowed and the disappeared. Kagome gave Inuyasha his his robe of the fire rat back. He put it back on and they group headed back to camp. They got Shippo, Kohaku, and Kirara. Kirara transformed and Sango, Miroku, Kohaku, and Shippo got on her back. Inuyasha knelt down and Kagome got on his back. He stood up and felt a little light headed.

"Are you ok Inuyasha?" asked Kagome

"Yeah I'm ok let's head to Kaede's village." replied Inuyasha

With that said Inuyasha took off toward Kaede's village. An hour and half later the group arrived at the edge of Kaede's village. Inuyasha stopped dead in his tracks. He and his friends can see someone familiar not far away. Inuyasha knelt down and Kagome got off of his back. The hanyou stood and ran up to the person. He smiled and was happy to see Kikyo.

"Kikyo I haven't seen you in a while. Are you ok?" asked Inuyasha

"I'm just fine thank you. And I am glad that Naraku and the sacred jewel are gone." stated Kikyo

"Wow she's good." commented Shippo

"Come on Shippo let's take Sango, Kohaku, and Kirara to Kaede's house." suggested Miroku

With that said Miroku, Sango, Shippo, Kohaku, and Kirara headed to Kaede's house. Inuyasha looked at Kagome and said "How about you go with them. I'll join you guys in a while. I would like to talk to Kikyo."

"Oh no I'm not going to Kaede's. I know what's going to happen. You're going to go off with Kikyo." argued Kagome

No I'm not going to go off with Kikyo. I just want to talk to her." assured Inuyasha

Not wanting to hear anymore Kagome yelled "Inuyasha you are such a liar I hate you! SIT!" Inuyasha hit the ground hard and Kagome ran off. The young woman ran through the village and into the forest of Inuyasha. She jumped into the bone eaters well to go home. Not long after Kagome left Inuyasha got to his feet.

"That girl can be quite foolish." chuckled Kikyo

"She'll calm down and be ok. And she isn't foolish. She saved your life." stated Inuyasha

"She felt obligated to save my life." snapped Kikyo

"She didn't feel obligated she wanted to. Because she has a good heart." growled Inuyasha

"You're right she does have a good heart." stated Kikyo

They looked at each other for a moment. Then Kikyo asked "what did you want to talk about?"

"I'm glad that you're ok. But I'm not going to be with you. I love Kagome she makes me happy. And loves me for who I am the way I am" informed Inuyasha

"How can you say that she doesn't even belong in this time?" And I loved you too you know." asked Kikyo

"I know you did love me. But you tried to kill me and Kagome. And when we where together you wanted me to become human." ranted Inuyasha

"That's because I was in love with you. And I wanted to become an ordinary woman. So I hoped by having you become human. That the jewel would be purified and disappear." stated Kikyo

The woman stepped forward and wrapped her arms around Inuyasha. Inuyasha sighed and decided to hug her back. Kikyo grabbed a knife from inside of her sleeve. As she pulled away she slashed the knife across Inuyasha's abdomen. Inuyasha went to move away from Kikyo. And she stabbed the upper part of his left leg. Inuyasha decided to run toward the forest. Kikyo can tell where Inuyasha is going so she is going to use a short cut. Thanks to her short cut she got ahead of Inuyasha. She got ready with her bow and arrows. Inuyasha came running through and stumbled a bit. Kikyo fired four arrows really fast.

Inuyasha got hit on the chest and three hit his right leg. Not paying attention to where he was going. Inuyasha ran into a tree he looked and saw that it's the sacred tree. Then he looked and saw Kikyo.

"Please Kikyo please stop this." begged Inuyasha

"I'm going to do to you what I should have done all off those years ago." boomed Kikyo

Kikyo grabbed another arrow and got ready to fire. Inuyasha put his hand on the hilt of his sword. He unsheathed Tessaiga and it turned black. Kikyo's arrow glowed light purple and she fired." At the same time Inuyasha yelled " Rest in peace in the underworld Kikyo! Medio Zangetsuha!" The Medio Zangetsuha sent Kikyo to the underworld. At the same time the sacred arrow hit in the middle of Inuyasha's chest. Inuyasha groaned and tried not to let go of Tessaiga. Inuyasha leaned against the sacred tree trying to stay conscious. He looked at the tree and said "Sacred tree help me. Please let Kagome know that I need her."

In the modern era Kagome is in her room. She has calmed down and has remembered. The way Inuyasha looked at her. It wasn't the same as before when he wanted to talk to Kikyo. Now she feels terrible and is thinking about going back. Suddenly the wind which was dead calm picked up. Kagome looked out her window and saw that. It's just the sacred tree that's moving. She walked out of her room and went down the stairs. The young woman put her shoes and went outside. Kagome walked up to the scared tree. The large tree is the only tree that's moving. Kagome touched the trunk of the tree. When she did she can sense that something is wrong. She ran back into the house and got her first aid kit.

Kagome ran out of the house and over to the shrine. She jumped into the well and a blue and white light appeared. When the light disappeared Kagome climbed out of the well. She looked around and saw that the scared tree is still moving. Kagome ran toward the sacred tree. Once at the sacred tree she looked around. Just then she saw a glimmer of gold. She walked around the tree and found Tessaiga on the ground. Kagome knows that Inuyasha should be near by. She looked up and gasped. There in front of her is Inuyasha. He has two arrow in his chest. Three arrows in his right left and blood coming out of his abdomen and upper left leg. She rushed over to him and put Tessaiga back in it's sheath.

The young woman then got to work removing the arrows from his chest. The she removed the arrows from his right leg. There is one in the upper part of his leg, one in his knee, and one above his ankle. Kagome then got to work taking care of Inuyasha's wounds. Five minutes later Kagome can hear someone running toward her. She looked and saw that it's Shippo.

"Oh hi Kagome it's good to see you. I came following the scent of blood." greeted Shippo

"You smell Inuyasha's blood Shippo. Please go get the others." informed Kagome

Shippo nodded and ran back toward the village. Six minutes later Sango, Miroku, Kirara, and Shippo arrived. Kagome is glad to see them.

"Kagome what happened to Inuyasha?"asked Miroku

"I don't know but we need to get him Kaede's." stated Kagome

Kirara transformed and Miroku picked up Inuyasha. And put him on Kirara's back. They headed back to Kaede's house. Miroku picked up Inuyasha and took him inside. The monk his friend down on a bed. Kagome came in and finished taking care of Inuyasha. After she was down she covered him up. She noticed that his breathing is shallow. Kagome checked Inuyasha's pulse and it's weak.

"Hang in there Inuyasha." coaxed Kagome

"I wonder what happened?" wondered Shippo

"Only Inuyasha would know." replied Sango

The next day Kagome is out looking for herbs. She's looking for herbs because Inuyasha has spiked a fever. Sango, Miroku, Kohaku, and Kirara have moved to a house near by. That way it's not so crowded in Kaede's house. Now it's Kaede, Kagome, Shippo, Rin, Inuyasha. Kagome found the herbs that she was looking for. Then she went back inside. Kaede then showed Kagome to make a remedy. Once the remedy was made Kagome went over. And managed to got Inuyasha to drink it. Then Kagome changed Inuyasha's bandages. The hanyou's condition hasn't improved much. Two days have passed and Inuyasha's fever has broken. And his pulse is stronger but he's still out cold.

Right now Kagome changing Inuyasha's bandages. His wounds are looking good. But Kagome is worried that Inuyasha might limp. Considering she removed an arrow from right knee. After changing Inuyasha's bandages Kagome went outside. She want to be outside to enjoy the day. Rin and Shippo are also outside and they are playing. Kaede is inside keeping an eye on Inuyasha and going through her herbs. Three days later and Inuyasha is doing very well. But he is still out cold. It's raining so everyone is inside. Miroku, Sango, Kirara, and Kohaku are in their house. And Kaede, Kagome, Shippo, Rin, and Inuyasha are in Kaede's house. Kagome has just covered Inuyasha up with a blanket.

She don't want him to get cold and possibly get she sat next to the fire. A few hours later everyone heard moaning. Kagome went over to Inuyasha's bed. She watched as Inuyasha opened his golden eyes. He looked, saw Kagome, and smiled.

"Hey Kagome you're back." stated Inuyasha

"I had to come back. Because when I touched the sacred tree at home. I could sense that something was wrong. And it's a good thing that I did." informed Kagome

"What happened Inuyasha?" asked Shippo

"Kikyo attacked me. She intended to kill me. So I used Tessaiga to send her to the underworld." explained Inuyasha

"Why did you do that Inuyasha. I though that you loved her?"asked Shippo

"I've got to admit that I did lover her at one time. But the one that I love is Kagome." admitted Inuyasha

"You... you love me." stated Kagome blushing

Inuyasha grabbed Kagome's hand and looked at her lovingly.

"Yes I love you Kagome." admitted Inuyasha

Kagome smiled and said "I love too Inuyasha. And I'm sorry that got angry with you."

"It's ok I don't blame you." assured Inuyasha

The next day the weather is better. Kagome decided to stay in the feudal era. She changed into miko clothing and. Put her first aid kit with a note into the bone eaters well. Then she found Sango and Miroku and told them. What happened to Inuyasha. And then she went back to Kaede's house. Two days later Inuyasha is feeling much better. He wants to go outside he's been cooped up long enough. Luckily Kagome is in the house. Inuyasha stood up and went to walk out of the house. But he went to his knees and groaned.

"Careful Inuyasha your legs might be fully healed." cautioned Kagome.

"Kagome helped Inuyasha to his feet. She walked along side Inuyasha and she noticed. That Inuyasha is favoring right leg. More than his left leg. Kagome helped Inuyasha walk outside and helped him sit down under a tree.

"How bad does you right leg hurt?' asked Kagome

"It's more my knee than my leg." replied Inuyasha

"I had a feeling that might be the case. Considering I removed an arrow from your right knee. It just might need more time to heal. I'll find you a crutch so you can walk." informed Kagome

Inuyasha watched at Kagome walked away. He sighed and enjoyed the fact that he's outside. An hour later Kagome came back with a crutch. Two days later Sango and Miroku got married. Everyone was there Kaede, Kohaku, Shippo, Kirara, Rin, Shippo, Inuyasha, and Kagome. After the ceremony Miroku and Sango went up to Inuyasha and Kagome. Sango and Kagome hugged each other. Inuyasha used his crutch to stand up. He and Miroku shook hands.

"How is you knee my friend?" asked Miroku

"It still hurts to walk on it. Hopefully it will get better." replied Inuyasha

Sango and Kagome finished hugging then pulled away.

"So when are you and Inuyasha. Going to get married Kagome?" asked Sango

The couple blushed then Inuyasha cleared his throat. And replied "Umm we'll get married when we are ready. I want to properly court Kagome first. And I want to be walking without a crutch by then." Two days later Inuyasha was heading down the road toward Kaede's. When he saw that Sesshomaru is visiting Rin. Inuyasha didn't want Sesshomaru to see him walking with a crutch. So he was hoping to go behind the houses. And slip by unnoticed. But then Inuyasha figured that. Rin had already told Sesshomaru what happened. So he kept walking down the road. Sesshomaru saw Inuyasha coming and said "Run along Rin I would like to talk to Inuyasha."

Rin nodded and went into Kaede's house. The demon lord turned and walked toward Inuyasha. He stopped in front of Inuyasha and looked at him. Inuyasha looked up at Sesshomaru and said " I know, I know I'm pathetic."

"I wasn't going to call you pathetic Inuyasha. But thank you for admitting it." remarked Sesshomaru

"Oh hasn't Rin told you what happened?" asked Inuyasha

"Yes she has and I'm glad that dead priestess. Was either laid to rest or sent to the neither world." replied Sesshomaru

"I had not other choice it was either. Use the meido or let her kill me." stated Inuyasha

The demon lord nodded then extended his hand. Inuyasha raised an eyebrow and looked at Sesshomaru.

"I would like it if we could bury the hatchet." stated Sesshomaru

Inuyasha smiled a bit, shook Sesshomaru's hand, and replied "I would like that too." Just then Rin and Kagome came out of Kaede's hut. They smiled when they saw Inuyasha and Sesshomaru. The girls walked up to the demons.

"Why are you and Inuyasha shaking hands Lord Sesshomaru?" asked Rin

"Inuyasha and I have decided to bury the hatchet." replied Sesshomaru

"Hey Kagome now that you are done for the day I have something to show you." stated Inuyasha with a smile

After talking to Sesshomaru Inuyasha Kagome to the edge of the village. Soon he stopped in front of a house. He smiled and said "Welcome to out home Kagome."

"Oh Inuyasha this is so wonderful. I'm so glad that we will have our own home." stated Kagome happily

Two weeks have passed and Inuyasha wants to try. Walking on his own without the crutch. But right now Kagome is helping Kaede deliver a baby. So Inuyasha asked Miroku to help him. The hanyou gave Miroku his crutch. Then he started walking away from the monk. Miroku watched Inuyasha carefully. He doesn't want his friend to fall or over doing it. Inuyasha walked down the road a ways then turned around. He then walked back to Miroku. The monk noticed that Inuyasha is limping. But he isn't limping as bad as been. Soon Inuyasha is standing in front of Miroku.

"How do you feel my friend?" asked Miroku

"I feel great it doesn't hurt that much to walk on my bad knee. Go ahead and give that crutch to someone who needs it." replied Inuyasha

Miroku nodded and walked away. Inuyasha decided to go pick flowers for Kagome. He found a patch of flowers and picked some flowers. Inuyasha then went to his and Kagome's house. He sat outside and waited for Kagome. A few hours later Inuyasha can smell Kagome coming. He stood up and walked toward Kagome. The young woman can see Inuyasha walking toward her. She gaped when she saw that he doesn't have his crutch. Inuyasha smiled and gave Kagome the flowers.

"Inuyasha you're walking without your crutch." stated Kagome

"I sure am and I feel great." assured Inuyasha

"Oh and thank you for the flowers. They are lovely." stated Kagome

Three weeks have passed and Inuyasha is now running. He sin't running very fast or very far. Today Inuyasha has just got done running. Kagome has rolled up Inuyasha's pant leg. She took a look at his knee. Inuyasha's knee looks good but does have a scar. After checking on Inuyasha's knee. Kagome left to go help Kaede. Inuyasha headed off and went to Sango and Miroku's house. He went inside the house and saw Sango and Kirara.

"Hey Sango can I barrow Kirara?" asked Inuyasha

"Sure you can." replied Sango

Inuyasha and Kirara went outside and the cat demon transformed. The hanyou got on her back and she took off. Inuyasha wants to find a town. Because he's looking for a kimono for Kagome. He wants to ask Kagome to marry him. The sun was setting when Inuyasha and Kirara returned to Sango's house. Inuyasha got off of Kirara's back. The cat demon untransformed and went into the house. Inuyasha then headed home himself. Once at home Inuyasha smiled when he saw Kagome. He walked up to Kagome and gave her the kimono. Kagome took the kimono from Inuyasha and smiled. The kimono is light blue and purple

"Thank you for the kimono Inuyasha I love it." marveled Kagome

"Kagome will you wear that Kimono. When we get married?" asked Inuyasha

"Yes I will wear it when we get married. And yes I will marry you." replied Kagome happily

Kagome wrapped her arms around Inuyasha and hugged him. Inuyasha wrapped his arms around Kagome and hugged her. He kissed her forehead then buried his nose in her hair. The hanyou breathed in Kagome's scent and sighed happily. Three days have passed and today Miroku performed a marriage ceremony. And not just any marriage ceremony. Today he married Inuyasha and Kagome and was honored to do it. Sango came up to Kagome and gave her a hug.

"Oh I am so happy for you and Inuyasha." beamed Sango

"Thank you Sango I'm happy too." Kagome also beamed

"I have some news to share with you." stated Sango

"What is it Sango?" asked Inuyasha

"I'm pregnant." beamed Sango

"Oh wow that's wonderful news" sang Kagome

One month has passed and Sango is a month pregnant. Inuyasha and Kagome have been married a month. And Inuyasha is running and jumping like he used to. He does limp a bit but it doesn't bother him. Kikyo's attack have left scars on Inuyasha. Mainly it was the arrows that left scars. So he has two scars on his chest. And has three scars on his right leg. But Inuyasha doesn't care. To him scars mean that he is a survivor. And he survived Kikyo's attack. Now he's with the woman he loves. And he plans on taking her as his mate soon. He would like to one day to start a family. Until then Inuyasha and Kagome happy living together in Kaede's village.
