The music thrummed through her body, the air electric with the static off the bodies dancing, the DJ keeping the club on its high. The drink was flowing and the drugs were being passed round like candy.

Kelly poured more drinks tonight than she could count; payday weekend was the busiest weekend in their month. Kelly had been working here for a month, she was good behind the bar, the customers liked her.

Ryan was so ready for this week to be over, he wanted a shower and his bed, empty! He had been here every weekend and still hadn't got their target.

He sat at the bar, Kelly had made him a drink and they were flirting. His phone vibrating in his pocket, 'less flirting more working Jay!' His boss Hank was in the van with Obalinsky, they were listening in on what was been said and watching on the video feed. To his left Kevin was sitting with Vanessa and somewhere he had Kim and Adam as backup.

They had all decided he was going to get closer to Kelly she was a new girl and they knew very little about her. She was young pretty and as far as they knew she was struggling to fit in. Maybe they would be able to give her an out. If they could crack her and get her to actually respond to Jay that is.

'Ryan' waited outside for Kelly to finish. She stepped out of the club and he was leaning against the car next to hers.

"Dude you stalking me?" she asked placing her hand on her pepper spray in her bag.

Holding his hands up he tried to explain that he just wanted to ask her out. Apologising if he scared her.

"I'm sorry I have to be up in the morning. Maybe another time!" she told him. She felt the heat rising up her face, she was flattered that he was paying her so much attention, she couldn't get into this right now though, he was hot. Like her insides were jello hot, she needed to sort her self out get her job done and a new man wasn't going to help right now.

As he watched her climb into his car he saw the smile on her face, the blush of her cheeks, he smiled his boyish smile. He was winning her over. He was sure of it.

The next morning at 10 am Kelly was sitting at a kid's birthday party. Her Daughter was running round playing with her class mates pre- kindergarten parties after a late night working in a club were not a good idea. Her head banged and she needed to sleep. As she watched Ally running round with the birthday boy, someone caught her eye, a man with red hair, sat at a table further over, Ryan!!!

She turned her head and picked up her phone, calling her Mom.

"Mom I have to go to work how long will you be?"

"Are you being serious? You haven't seen her all week! I don't know how much longer I can do this"

"Mom I will lose my job please!"

"No, you need to get another job, she is your daughter, you need to get hold of your life and grow up."

"Mom! Please... Mom! Shit!"

"Mommy!"

"Hey, you OK?"

"The lady said its time to eat can I go too?"

"Yes, go I'm right here, love you sweetie." Kelly picked up her phone again calling her brother Matthew.

"Hey, can u watch Ally tonight please?"

"No, Mom called and told me to tell you no."

"Please, I need you to watch her I have to work."

"No!" he had put the phone down.

"Shit!" she looked through her phone book to see who she could ask.

"Hey, Kelly?"

"Hey, Ryan? What are you doing here, this is really next level stalking" she half joked.

"My nephew is the birthday boy!"

"Really! Wow! Small world." Her phone rang "I have to get this sorry!"

"This is the last time. Drop her off when she's finished. I mean it last time."

"Thank you!" the line went dead.

Kelly sat down at the table Ryan had gone.

Her phone rang again it was her boss.

"Jay, tonight is your last night we need something to bust Davies. Kelly isn't biting move on. Try another girl."

"OK. Something isn't right about her Sarge, I'm not sure what, but I saw her today at Owens party. She wasn't the same person as last night. Something isn't right."

"OK, what do you want to do?"

"Voight, I need you down here!" Trudy shouted him.

He walked down stairs. A blonde sat in the office, walking in front of her he smiled. Hayley Upton was sat in front of him. Her ocean blue eyes sparkled. Her face was pale, tiredness shone through.

"Hank, I need your help, I'm trying crack a case and I'm struggling!"

"Hang on, Jay can you come down?"

As Jay came off the bottom step, he could see Trudy stood by the office door, Hank was talking to whoever was inside, his gravely deep voice asking 'why they hadn't been invited to the party before now!' the annoyance shining through. He walked into to the office and stopped in his tracks, the blonde hair and black leather jacket, setting off his memory from this afternoon.

"Kelly?" he asked. Kelly spun round shock evident on her face at the voice she heard.

"Ryan? What's going on why are you here?" standing up she felt backed into a corner. Fear in her eyes.

Both looked at Voight. His trademark smile confusing them both.

"Detective Jay Halstead Intelligence, meet Detective Hayley Upton Gang unit!".

Both breathed a sigh of relief and their bodies physically relaxed as they both sat in a chair each.

Hayley's phone rang, rolling her eyes as she answered.

"sorry, Mom I'm working, What do you mean you are moving away? Mom, are you kidding me right now? Mom where are you? You've left her alone are you serious... I have to go, just forget I came to you I'm sorry, do you know a good lawyer or a sympathetic judge, if I catch her, I may actually murder her!" she stormed out of the building.

"Jay, follow her, bring them both back here." Hank ordered.

He wanted Davies in a cell by the end of the week and if it took paying a babysitter to do it, then so be it.
