Author's note- I never thought I'd be doing this like everrr. I was more into reading Sasusaku fanfiction and over time I got this idea of writing my own story, and after a lot of dilemmas here I am putting my imagination of the perfect Sasusaku story into words. And I hope you'll be happy with my concept, happy reading lovely people!!

Summary- Uchiha Sasuke is the second son of Fugaku and Mikoto Uchiha, and to be co-owner of Uchiha corporations. On the other hand, Haruno Sakura, an ordinary girl from a middle class family is the only daughter of Kizashi and Mebuki Haruno. Both Sasuke and Sakura's life takes a 180 degree turn when both, complete strangers to one another are bound into an arranged marriage. How will these strangers get along and make their marriage work? Will they indeed be able to do it?

P.s- I intend to complete this story, though I don't have any idea how long or how many chapters it will take, let's hope for the best!! Also, excuse me if I make any grammatical errors, I try to proofread them all as much as possible.

Before I begin- this is an arranged marriage based story of Sasusaku which will lead to eventual lemon in one way or other, besides drama and their phase of getting to know each other.

Chapter 1- Introduction and the Call

Uchiha Residence

Another day passed and it was, once again, exhausting. Uchiha Sasuke locked the doors of his bedroom after coming back from Uchiha Corps, and as usual, it was another long day of work.

Not like Sasuke minded it, after all he was the CEO to be of Uchiha Corps, alongside his older brother Uchiha Itachi after his father Fugaku resigns from the position, which he intends to do in a year or two and this lead Sasuke and Itachi working with their father to learn things about the company beforehand.

Sasuke was 23 years old, studied business in Konoha's best, Konohagakure International University, and now working in the company. His brother Itachi was 27, refusing to marry just yet and had his own small business which he didn't prefer to run under the Uchiha name, which explained why he was much less interested in their family business and chose to give most part of the company to Sasuke alone after Fugaku resigns.

Sasuke took off his clothes, freshened up and completed some paperwork, and only then hit the bed. After all, he was a well organised and disciplined boy since childhood and hated anything messy. He had another long day to survive the next morning.

26B, Leaf street, Haruno's

"Sakura, dinner is ready!"

"Coming okaa-san!"

Haruno Sakura, 22, more like a gifted child, with intelligence beyond her age and wisdom more than expected, shot up from her study table the instant her mother called her for dinner, leaving the pile of notes and books she was going through, not wanting to make her parents wait. She rushed towards the dining table, greeting her parents as they prepared to eat dinner together.

"Itadakimasu!"

"How's university going dear?" Haruno Kizashi, her father asked.

"It's okay tou-san, just too many assignments at once, gets quite exhausting at times but I manage, after all Tsunade-Sama never fails to make any medical lectures interesting!" Sakura replied. Kizashi was doing a job in a renowned company for years now. Haruno's were not filthy rich but his dad was paid well enough for the family to survive decently. However, if it wasn't for Sakura's brilliance, she would never get the chance to study in the medical department of Konohagakure International University. Due to her academic excellence, she was offered a fully funded scholarship and if that didn't happen probably her family wouldn't be able to pay for her education in such a university, after all only the richest could afford it without scholarships and Haruno's were certainly not one of them.

"I see. Oh by the way, Sakura, I need you to come early from university tomorrow, as soon as you can, make sure you don't hang around with your friends tomorrow, it's important." Kizashi's voice went from relaxed to a serious tone as he spoke.

"Is something wrong tou-san? What happened?" Sakura asked as she sensed the seriousness of the situation.

"Not now Sakura, just make it on time tomorrow, nothing you should worry about so don't worry dear." Kizashi assured.

With that, the Haruno's went to bed after finishing dinner. Sakura wondered for a while what could it be, for her father seemed really serious, but she was tired and sleepy after a long day in university and the assignments. She brushed it off and went to bed, 'guess I'll just wait till tomorrow...' she drifted off to sleep as she thought.

Next morning

It was 7 in the morning, Sasuke was already in the office, discussing about some projects with Itachi. Fugaku was working outside the office today, checking on their factories and other assets.

"Sasuke." Itachi suddenly called him breaking the silence what occurred due to both of them going through some files and documents, "You'll be taking over the company soon, don't you think it's high time for you to settle down?"

"What's with the sudden suggestion nii-san?" Sasuke wasn't dumb. He knew Itachi meant him looking for a suitor and he also knew his brother didn't ask him to find a suitor for nothing. Moreover, this is probably the first time Itachi raised this topic, that too when Fugaku was not even present. The brothers never discussed marriage until their parents brought the topic up.

"Neh otouto, you know I don't plan on doing anything of that sort, and you know you're technically the heir of this company, after all you'll be the one handling almost everything. Tou-san would definitely not step out of his position without you settling down, which means you'll have to marry anyways within the next couple of years." Sasuke was annoyed at what Itachi said in a matter-of-fact tone. He was not wrong, even Sasuke himself knew he had to get married soon. Not like he wanted to. He was not someone who fell in or expressed love that easily, to be practical, he never had a love interest either. His good looks earned him quite a lot of fangirls since before he stepped onto his teen years, and now even his own secretary even never hesitated to throw hints at him but he always ignored them. Tch, do these girls have no life? That's all he always thought of anyone desperately asking for his attention, that too in an inappropriate way most of the times.

Itachi's words did annoy him, but he was not, and never the one to show emotions. Come on, Uchiha's are known for being calm and collected in all situations. However, with Sasuke, it turned out to be never showing and rarely feeling any emotions at all, much like his father. And even Itachi understood it, he expected nothing more than his younger brother's stoic expression and didn't bother to extend the conversation either. He headed out to his own office room taking all the files he needed, as Sasuke responded with only a "hn", his signature word as Itachi left.

Sasuke worked and worked until it was already lunch break when his father called.

"Tou-san?"

"Sasuke, call it a day in the office, I need you at home after lunch hour, I'm already here and it's important."

Sasuke, thinking it might be some very important business project that his dad might be talking about, responded, "Alright, I'll be there." and prepared to head out once he was done with the lunch in front of him.

Konohagakure International

Sakura walked out of university, heading towards home, now that it was almost the time of her getting to know what her father wanted to talk about, curiosity lingered in her head again. She couldn't help but think about what serious matter he will be talking about since he called Sakura, will it be about her studies? University? Job?

"Hey forehead!" Sakura snapped out of her thoughts as Ino, one of her best friends, called her. Yamanaka Ino was from a wealthy family, her mother was a model and her father owned Yamanaka corporations, but Ino wasn't one of those rich, spoiled children. Of course she used her wealth to the fullest when it came to shopping and hanging out, but she had her own ambitions too. She aspired to be a model but besides that, she was studying arts too in Konohagakure International since she did not want her education to come to a halt no matter how big of a model she became, which is why Sakura liked Ino, she was kind, fun, and quite amazing to hang out with alongside being an amazing friend. She never made Sakura feel like she was in a lower class than Ino and never judged anyone based on their financial status, despite being quite feisty at times.

"Hey Ino-pig! Can't talk right now, gotta rush. Tou-san wants me to be home fast today for some unknown reason."

"I see, I guess You won't be joining us then. Oh hey Tenten, Sai-kun!" Ino screamed as they approached. Tenten was another of Sakura's friends who she knew since school, she got into the chemistry department of the university in the same year as Sakura and as Tenten knew Ino from before, she introduced ino with Sakura too and that's how they were friends. Sai, who was rather known for his straightforward approach was in the same department as tenten and met Sakura through her as well and then in turn met Ino which led to more than just friendship, which explains why they're dating for around four months now.

"Hey Ino, Sakura, long day eh? Let's leave fast today, I'm really tired." Tenten sighed while speaking.

"Sakura won't be joining us today, girl has some housework to do. By the way where's Hinata and Lee? Come on Tenten, let's go to Temi's first, I promise you'll be all energized!" Ino squealed, of course, this party girl had to hit Temi's every now and then. Temari was one of the friends in their group. She had her own restaurant where the group hangs out often. Ino knew her through Gaara, who was the CEO of Kazekage company, business partners with Yamanaka corps. And Temari and Kankuro were his older siblings, Temari owning her own restaurant for two years after graduation and Kankuro studying abroad for higher education. Gaara was a year senior than them and thus already graduated. However, Sakura knew Temari better than Gaara since he wasn't always present in the hangouts, according to Temari he didn't like much social interaction plus as a young CEO, he had a lot to do as well.

Just when Ino was trying to convince Tenten, Hinata and Lee approached. "Hey guys! Hello my youthful, beautiful flower!" Lee almost screamed indicating to Sakura, which she was quite used to. Not like she liked Lee back, but she knew even if lee had a slight crush on her he wouldn't let it get into their friendship, and both of them brushed the matter off and it was a quite normal scenario for Lee to flirt with Sakura every now and then, though in a friendly way.

"Everyone.. I-I think I won't be able-able to leave with y-you guys.. n-Naruto-kun will be picking me up today you know..." Hinata, the kind, shy and gorgeous girl spoke. She belonged from Hyuga- yes- the Hyuga family, but no one would probably believe judging her personality, at least that's what Sakura thought. She was the kindest person Sakura ever came across, and, well, extremely shy too. And yes, she was dating Naruto from the well known Uzumaki family. Sakura never Met Naruto but apparently, he was a loud and fun guy, at least that's what Hinata and Ino said, and Hyuga and Uzumaki, of course, it's nothing abnormal for two people from the richest families in Konoha to date.

"Have a good time Hinata, just don't end up making babies so soon, not like that penis-less guy can get you pregnant anyways." Sai with his honest mouth shot. Hinata's eyes widened and she blushed a deep shade of crimson, until she saw a lavish looking car approaching the gate and ran towards it, recognizing it to be Naruto's car. 'Sai and that Uzumaki guy must have some very honest and straightforward friendship' that's all Sakura could think all the time whenever Sai talked about Naruto.

"Guys! I'll have to leave too, I'll catch up in the next hangout, bye!" Sakura also followed suit upon seeing Hinata leave and headed home.

26B, Leaf Street, Haruno's

"Tou-san?" Sakura entered, seeing her dad already sitting in the living room.

"Sakura, welcome home, I guess you want to freshen up first? We are waiting." Mebuki, Sakura's mother said. How is okaa-san involved in this? Sakura thought.

"It's okay tou-san, okaa-san, I'm alright. Tell me what's the matter?" Sakura asked as she sat on the couch opposite to her father, who took a moment, sighed, and finally spoke.

"Look Sakura, we have always wanted the best for you. You're independent, intelligent, and a capable girl. But you must realize that you're 22 now, this is a prime age for you to settle in life. And you know we are not the wealthiest of families, see, the thing is we have been looking for a suitor for you for a while now, and I guess this time we got the perfect one for you Sakura. Even your okaa-san approves of him, anyone would. After all he's none other than one of the heirs of uchiha corporations! Sakura, you'll be getting married in the Uchiha, one of the most prestigious families of Konoha!"

"W-wh-what?.. Me m-married? Uchiha family?" It felt like someone just made Sakura lift the weight of this planet. Did she hear it right? She? Getting married? That too in the Uchiha family?

"Tou-san?! What are you saying?.. I can't g-get married.. so soon?... what about my career? My education? I'm supposed to graduating in a few months.." Sakura was on the verge of tears. Yes, Sakura is a very obedient daughter not easily found these days, she listened to anything her parents said to her and believed their decisions to be right for her blindly. But getting married? She wants to complete her education and do something in life. If her parents want her to of course she will marry the person her parents choose for her, she always considered her parents choosing a suitor for her since she didn't have any love interest either. But like this? This was all too much to take in and too soon.

"No dear, it's the Uchiha family, of course they will agree to continue with your education. Moreover Sakura, there no suitor better than Fugaku Uchiha's son, it's not just about wealth or their family title, their family is well disciplined and decent one too. You'll fit right in dear, the Uchiha's are visiting us tomorrow to fix things regarding the marriage."

Sakura's eyes widened at what her father said. "W-when is the wedding?.."

"If we finalize things by tomorrow, which I'm certain we will, the wedding will take place in the next 10 days."

Uchiha residence

"WHAT?" Sasuke shouted as he shot up from where he was sitting. Marriage? The realization hit him as he connected the dots. This is why Itachi asked me about settling down today morning, he knew.

"Sasuke, dear please calm down. I understand it's sudden for you but please listen to your tou-san for once." Mikoto, Sasuke's mother pleaded in an understanding manner. Sasuke seemed to calm down at his mother's approach towards him.

"Sasuke." Fugaku began in the same emotionless tone. "You know you'll be taking over most parts of the company, settling down for you has become necessary for Uchiha Corps. I will be stepping down in a couple of years and you need to settle before that. We can't just get you married like that right before I step down, it will look forced. And it's better if you marry now. You're 23, working in the office, and graduated too. It's the perfect time."

"Why can't Itachi get married then? He's 27." Sasuke shot a glare at Itachi sitting just at the other corner of the room. Sometimes he really blamed Itachi for all the positions and situations he landed in.

"Sasuke, Itachi chose to only take a small portion of the company, your settlement is more important than his and even you know it. I expect you to understand the situation, your suitor's family will be visiting us tomorrow." Fugaku explained.

"Your father is right dear, moreover the girl and her family is amazing, I understand all of it is too fast for you to process but I'm sure you'll like her." His mother added along.

Sasuke kept quiet for a while. The Uchiha sons were not desperate people going out of bounds every now and then. Itachi wanted his own business besides handling a portion of the family one due to his father's pressure, and Sasuke never thought of anything outside his family business. Their parents, though were stern with decisions but supported both of them in their career choices. And even Sasuke saw an arranged marriage coming, he wouldn't say no to his parents, not like he personally liked someone anyways so he had no reason to reject either. And since Fugaku decided it, it seemed absolute. He nodded after a while, "Is it Karin's family?..." Sasuke was slightly fearful here, as much as he would go with his parent's decision, Karin wasn't someone he'd want to live the rest of his life with. He didn't want a wife at all but at this point, it would be anyone but Karin, that's all he wished for. Karin belonged to another wealthy family and it was obvious she would be the first option for Sasuke since their families knew each other and she wasn't Sasuke's friend either so nothing platonic would come between them if their marriage indeed happened, but she was just downright annoying and of course 'lifeless' according to Sasuke, for Karin herself was one of his fangirls.

"No Sasuke, although she was our first option. But then Itachi said how you'd rather be with anyone else but Karin and she barely has any manners either. Our next consideration was Yamanaka, or the Hyugas but I think Itachi is right, they're all your good friends and it would be better if we look for a capable suitor from families not as extremely wealthy as Hyugas or Otsutsukis and all, who I see are either spoiled or your friends who you'd rather not spend the rest of your life with." Sasuke shot another glare at Itachi after Fugaku's explanation, Itachi only smirked at him. Since when did he know about this and why didn't he tell him? Though he was lowkey thanking Itachi, he practically hated Karin and marrying one of his friends like Yamanaka would be just awkward, plus as far as Hyugas are concerned even Itachi knew Hinata is in love with Naruto, they just chose to keep it a secret for a while from their families. "It's the Haruno family, Mr.Haruno is a senior manager in one of the well known hotels of Konoha, and his daughter will be graduating this year. We will meet them tomorrow Sasuke, I'm sure you'll have no complaints and nor you should. We will be expecting you to have no plans tomorrow evening. The marriage will take place within 10 days after we fix everything the next day." Fugaku got up and left along with a smiling Mikoto as Sasuke flared at them hearing about the wedding date and Itachi came up to sasuke.

"Otouto, I know you are mad at me for not telling you, but we both know you'd lose your patience and go to tou-san to stop him if I did that. I didn't want that. I knew he would never change his decision and if you stopped him he'd just fix your marriage with Yamanaka or the Hyugas, or even Karin. I was just taking my time to stop that, and the girl he chose for you, I'm certain you'll like her, at least I was impressed with everything I got to know about her, goodluck Sasuke." Itachi left after he was done saying his part. Sasuke understood what Itachi meant, and although he was a bit irked for being the only person who didn't know about all these happening, he was thankful for Itachi helping him out as much as he needed it in this situation. Sasuke also took notice of how Itachi was positive about the girl being quite good, Itachi never praised for nothing, and if he talked good about her, she was probably different from other fangirls he came across on a daily basis. At least that's what Sasuke hoped. Now that he will have to live with someone he didn't know beforehand, all he could hope for was that she isn't a fangirl and stupid, unlike most other girls who only liked Sasuke for his looks and social status.

Sasuke also left for his own room, he needed time to cool down and let the whole situation sink in, tomorrow will be different, he thought.

Haruno's

Sakura had no idea what would happen tomorrow. She heard about the Uchiha's from Ino and Hinata, Ino knew them through her family and the same went for Hinata as well. How old is this guy? Is he a playboy? Will he and his family allow her to complete her education? How will he treat her? How did he agree to this? Gotta wait another day for my answers, she thought, expecting nothing great.

Both Sasuke and Sakura spent the day completing their works, trying to forget about the whole marriage to a stranger thing. They had an interesting evening that neither looked forward to tomorrow but avoiding it was out of the question as well.
