All she could see was ash and fire. Vale was decimated, and barely any buildings were standing. This was no Grimm attack. They could not destroy it as much as what she is seeing. And she was powerless to do anything. Something was keeping her drained. It permeated through the air like an invisible poltergeist, sucking away her energy. All she could do now was stare at the death before her.

The sight of the flaming husk that is Beacon Academy struck a cord. The most prestigious combat school on the planet, now nothing but ruin. And considering that Yang was going there tomorrow...oh god.

"This...this has got to be a dream!" she panicked. She could not bear the thought of her sister being one of the causalities brought about by whatever happened here. She had to search. Using her scythe as a crutch, she lifted herself up, but with wobbly legs, she isn't going anywhere soon. She cursed herself, angry that she could do nothing.

*STOMP*

Her mind stopped. That didn't sound normal. Her heart raced and quivering grew more intense as the stomping grew closer and closer. Whatever it is...its massive. And that's an understatement, because, as the clouds of smoke and dust revealed a massive humanoid shadow, the maker of those noises was bigger than anything she has ever seen.

This is the tallest building in this sector of Vale, and it only stood to this giant's chest. Its large and glowing golden eyes looked down upon her like she would an ant. She shivered in fear at is ungodly sight. A scaly body, covered in leeches and child-sized insects, and the size to prove that its an abomination against nature. This isn't something that Remnant could ever feasibly produce, even with the Grimm existing.

And it stood right before her. And with a mighty roar, it made itself heard.

"SKREEEEEEEEEEE-"

"AAAAAAAAAA-hng!" Ruby screamed, feeling her face hit the wooden floor. "Owww..."

She pulls herself up, holding a hand to her face. What a horrible nightmare. She looked around her room and calmed down. Thank Oum it wasn't on fire. She was definitely a mess, however. Disheveled hair, roughed-up pajamas, and now a bruise on her face. Annoyed by this, she goes to put her clothes on, hopefully leaving this behind her and get her evening hours in. Speaking of...how long was she napping?

"Geez, I need to start setting alarms more," she groaned. She took out her scroll to check the time, and she felt her soul shatter like glass. It was already evening. In fact, as she looked out the window, the sun was setting. The last ferry boat from Patch to Vale would be leaving real soon! Gasping in shock, she ran out the room and out the front door, where she activated her semblance and sped as fast as she could. Unknown to the Little Red, her life would soon be flipped on her head, for better or worse. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but something's going to change.

And how that change will come will not be pretty.

I had plans on making a Godzilla x RWBY story for a long time, but didn't really know what to do with it. But one thing I did know was that I wasn't going to be using any of the newer incarnations. While the Monsterverse, Shin, Final Wars, and Anime Gojis are all cool on their own, they already have multiple stories using them (except maybe the Shin and Anime ones but I haven't looked in a while). So I decided to make a Heisei Godzilla x RWBY story, as I have a feeling it could work. I also may work on a Showa Godzilla x RWBY and/or a RWBY story where all the Godzilla incarnations come together, but for now you got Heisei.

This is a trailer, for now, but I will be working on the main and juicy chunk of the story soon. For context, this trailer is just before Episode 1 of RWBY so you know where this trailer fits in the show.
