(A/N: Well, here is the start of my story. The reason why I call it 'The Green Light' is because I believe there is a green light, at the end of the tunnel, as well believing this would've been a better name for the Resistance. Anyway, the reason I'm uploading these early is because I will be in Hobart, Tasmania for Easter, and my birthday tomorrow. The first chapter is actually an original, but hopefully, I get wi-fi and be able to upload the next chapter)
It has been two days since the Destiny's Bounty was destroyed and Oni Garmadon being self-declared the Emperor of Ninjago. And now, much of Ninjago City is in ruin, with the Sons of Garmadon now taking over, it was no longer safe for many of the people. At the moment, some Sons of Garmadon members chase after some kids as a parent manages to grab her child and took off, but a couple of them are forced onto the ground as an elderly man, with a black robe covering his face and a walking stick to guide him, walked past them. "Citizens of Ninjago." Harumi's voice was heard as the elderly man looks at a nearby TV. "Emperor Garmadon will cut off your food supply, until you give up his son, Lloyd Garmadon. He is the one that he desires." In a mall that was apparently looted just recently, Blake, who was only wearing his gi pants with a white tank top and didn't have his glasses on, moved along it, picking up a tin of spam before putting it in his pocket. "If he is brought before our emperor, he will spare you all and return your food supply. Also, anyone wearing green will be held under arrest. So, we demand that you must not wear the colour. Emperor Garmadon rules Ninjago now."
Outside, the old man starts moving again as a couple of bikes stop in front of him. They were members of the Sons of Garmadon, but were wearing police uniforms with the sleeves torn off and marked with their insignia. "Excuse me, old timer, we would like a word with you." One of them said.
"Oh, you wouldn't dare harm a blind old man, would you?" The old man asked.
"Just need some answers." The other 'cop' replied. "Did you hear rumours of the Green Ninja?"
"The Green who?"
"Lloyd Garmadon. He is currently wanted for treason."
"Never heard of anything. Now, let this blind man pass by, if you don't want glass in the ass."
"I see. We apologise for any inconvenience." The 'cops' soon leave as the blind man walks down an alleyway.
The old man suddenly peeks around the corner and removes his hood, revealing to be Geoff. "Suckers." He soon pulled out a package and a note. "'The Postman and I have a mutual friend who made these. Ninja never quit'." Geoff soon took off further down the alley while throwing the cane away.
Cirrus, wearing the top of Blake's gi, blue jeans and maroon tennis shoes, and Maggie, whose gi had a tear on the lower part of her shirt, revealing her navel and lacking sleeves, come up to a car with Maggie holding some blankets as Cirrus opens the door. "Won't traveling in a car bring a lot of attention?" Maggie asked as Cirrus looks at the panel.
"I'm doing something Blake taught me in case of an emergency." She replied. (A/N: She briefly turns away from the car and is looking at you, reader. "Nobody's to read this part, if you're a car thief." She returns to the car) Cirrus pulls the hazard warning light switch out of its socket. She turns it upside down and reinserts it, causing the car to start. "Maggie, help me push."
Maggie and Cirrus soon push the car and let go to see it go down the street before crashing into a wall, setting off the alarm and the two girls immediately take off. "Alarm in Sector 8." One of the members said nearby as the girls quickly take off, ducking into the alleyway. "Alarm in Sector 8, nearby officers, investigate immediately."
Geoff comes up to a dumpster and moves it aside as Maggie and Cirrus came up behind him. "I heard that sound, was it you?" He asked.
"Yeah." Cirrus replied before they look at a door and Geoff knocks on it. He hears it unlock and they get in.
Inside, it is actually a storage container as Lloyd, Nya, Misako, Dareth, Tania and P.I.X.A.L. see them come in. "Were you followed?" Lloyd asked as some of them stood up with Misako holding an orbez Mosin Nagant Rifle. Lloyd's gi was lacking sleeves and the belt as well as having some tears on his pants. Nya's had a tear on the lower part of her shirt, revealing her navel.
"A couple of the members asked me, but luckily, they didn't recognise me." Geoff replied as he removed the robe, revealing he is no longer wearing the top part of his gi, which is replaced with a brown t-shirt. "Found this underneath Ronin's shop. The place was picked clean, but he left a morse code message, telling me where this was."
Lloyd takes it and opens it, revealing new gis, some of them unfortunately had some look a little old or worn. "Thank you, Ronin. We've been held up in this damn cold storage container for two days. And we get warmer gis."
A sound was soon heard as Misako raises her rifle. "Oh, I forgot to close the door."
A can of beans, held by someone was soon shown. "Blake." Misako said, calming down.
"Sorry." Blake replied as he showed himself while closing the door. "I tripped." He started coming up to them, his other hand holding two more cans of beans before he closed the door and locked it.
"Was that all you found?" Lloyd asked.
"Afraid so. Mall was picked clean, this was all I found, as well as some spam." He gets out a few tins from his left pocket. "There were also a couple of Puffy Potstickers, but I lost them when I had to hide from a patrol."
"Are you sure you weren't sarcastic?" Dareth asked.
"No." Blake sounded annoyed before Dareth groans, unable to consume his favourite food.
Static was heard as Nya soon went over to a box and tuned a nearby radio that was on top of it. "Citizens of Ninjago." A garbled voice said through the radio. "It has now been our second day since Lord Garmadon has taken control of Ninjago City, and we are forced to hide like rats or sell out people who just want to help out. The loss of the 5 Ninja must not be in vein, but in spirit. They have tried their best and although they failed at the cost of their gallant lives, they did it without hesitation. We have currently tagged 72 more Sons of Garmadon banners with our mark to let our so called Emperor know that we will not quit. This is the voice of survival, signing off. Believe in The Green Light, because The Green Light never quits." The radio soon returned to static.
"At least we know someone out there still believes in us." P.I.X.A.L. said.
Several minutes later, a campfire is lit as they all share the beans or spam. Cirrus only had beans. "We can't just hide here forever." Lloyd said. "We need to find others who oppose the Sons of Garmadon."
"Well, be careful, Lloyd." Geoff replied, having a piece of spam. "Your father has put a bounty on your head. They're also starting to arrest civilians, thinking they're helping you. Something called 'Ultra Hunt.' They already got as many people as I could count while I made my way back."
"What about my father?" Blake asked.
"And mine?" Maggie asked.
"No news." Geoff replied. "But as they say, 'No news is good news'."
"Hello, viewers, and welcome to the new program, 'Ultra Hunt'!" A nearby TV was heard as Geoff turns it up to see Ultra Violet as some members were putting some citizens in police cars. "We start off the show with hunting down people affiliated with the Green Ninja! We have already detained known allies, such as most of the ex-police, including The Voice: Ninjago's winner Terry Bowman. The next one is Medical Examiner Dr. R.D. Hall."
"Oh, man." Maggie said, saddened upon hearing her father's name.
"Cornelius V. Proctor resisted arrest, helping Sean Torset and Wilhelm Clamo escape from custody after he killed two of our own. We are still on the hunt for those scaredy cat coppers now."
"You'll never find Sean and Wilhelm, you dipsticks!" Cornelius, sporting just his unbuttoned police shirt, pants and shoes, yelled before chuckling as he was forced into the back of a police car that has the Sons of Garmadon insignia on it.
"At least we know some good people are getting away." Blake said as he soon turned the TV off.
"Okay, time to get ready for Lloyd's training." Nya said as they all turn to him.
Several minutes later, Lloyd and Geoff were in the middle of the container. "Are you sure about this?" Geoff asked as he did some squats. He was in his new Ninja gi as well as Lloyd, Nya, Blake and Maggie. Geoff had duct tape around parts of his left boot as well some suspenders that were hanging from the waistband.
"I have to, if I want my powers back." Lloyd replied. "And avenge Gewuji."
"We'll both avenge her." Geoff soon stood up. "Now hit me, if you can, Master."
"Of course."
Lloyd poises as Geoff did the same before he charged at him. Lloyd moves his right fist to Geoff, but he quickly tilts his head aside before blocking his next fist and moves to kick him, but Lloyd blocked it and Geoff backs away, holding his arm out, beckoning him to come. Lloyd charges and goes for a kick, but Geoff uses his left arm to block before quickly kneeling down and trips Lloyd, sending him to the ground. "Not good enough." Geoff said as Lloyd got up. "You're better than this, Lloyd. Know it."
"Looks like the student has become the master."
"Don't push your luck." Lloyd quickly goes for a side kick, but Geoff dodges it and kicks him in the other leg, making him move back before he did one himself, but Lloyd backflips to dodge it before landing and poises.
Nearby, Maggie, Blake, Nya, Dareth, Misako, Tania, Cirrus and P.I.X.A.L. look on as Geoff charged at Lloyd, who kneels down to try and trip him, but Geoff vaults over him and kicks him from behind, knocking him down. "Geoff's improved." P.I.X.A.L. said. "I'm checking his vital signs now."
Lloyd spun as he quickly got up and charged at Geoff, who moves for a kick, which Lloyd dodges and tries to punch him, but Geoff caught the fist and with his held out hand, slammed Lloyd in the chest, knocking him back, face down and looked on, in a disappointment before Lloyd used his hands to get up, flipping forward to avoid Geoff's next kick before running to a support beam, runs up it and backflips behind Geoff, but he notices and as soon as Lloyd landed, Geoff slammed his foot into him, sending him flying into another support beam, denting it as Lloyd landed on the floor, exhausted. "What's the point?"
"What?" Lloyd asked as he breathes heavily.
"I cannot keep this up if you don't concentrate on your opponent's moves. Maybe you're right. No power, no Green Ninja."
"That's enough!" Misako yelled, coming up to Lloyd, bumping Geoff as she did so. "He's still trying to find a way to get his powers back."
"No, let him state his opinion." Lloyd replied as he got up.
"No, Misako, you're right." Geoff said as he turned away and walked over to a bottle of water. "I'm sorry." He takes a big gulp until he soon puts the bottle down. "I'll train you, day and night if I have to. For Gewuji." He turned back to Lloyd. "You ready, Lloyd?"
"Let's do this." Lloyd replied before they poise and Geoff charges at him.
