Learning A Lesson In Love

A poem about Charlie Brown and Peppermint Patty. Peppermint Patty is finally given a good life lesson on the subject of love. What she learned though wasn't something she may have expected.

The people all thought that she was the one.

It was the pair they thought would have won.

The pair was encouraged to become a thing.

But what really happened was love's keen sting.

Charlie Brown had no interest in her.

Not the girl whom Marcie called "sir".

Charlie Brown's heart was with another girl

One who made his heart do a whirl.

She was kind, caring, and never rash

Unlike Peppermint Patty, who was too brash

The girl, named Heather, showed so much care

That Peppermint Patty ought to beware

At the end of the day, a lesson was learned

Charlie Brown's heart needed to be earned

Heather was the one who had what it took

And Peppermint Patty was thrown off the hook

So what should be learned here? Let it be said

That CB and PP should wind up dead.

Author's note: Okay, yeah I know I'm playing with fire by posting this, but I don't care. I had found a strong urge to write this. Put plainly, I wanted to convey my thoughts about this pairing in a way that I could publish it as a fanfic, and this is the result.
