A/N:
Just a disclaimer, I do not own Glee and also the song in this is an original so sorry if you're disappointed ;) Well anyway, I've moved my authors note to the top of the page, no idea why, but why not? :) Hope you enjoy. :) xxx
Kurt walked idly down the path skidding slightly on the cobblestone. The trees stood strong on the ground, their roots wound into the mud and their branches holding its head high with leaves occasionally falling from the early Autumn weather. Kurt walked slowly through the forest in the park and thought to himself I should come here again. Then, Kurt found a bench and decided to sit, basking in the sunlight that pierced through the small holes in the trees, illuminating the forest like a disco bar. He closed his eyes, relaxing into the chair. He didn't find much time for these low-key events anymore. He wished his boyfriend was with him out here, so they could enjoy the sun and the stillness together, but equally enjoyed the peace that settled in his mind.
Suddenly, he heard footsteps in the distance and a guitar start quietly strumming a few chords. When he looked over, he was shocked to see the man of his dreams walking towards him starting to play a song. Blaine sat down on the bench across from Kurt and Kurt opened his mouth to say something but Blaine gently placed his index finger on top of his lips, silencing him.
Honey, I've loved you long,
Because we are so much stronger as one.
I plan to stay and be with you,
And I want to live our lives together.
Blaine sang with every bit of passion in his heart, putting his all into his voice and his old guitar. He closed his eyes to bring the notes and every little word out as much as possible.
Oh, baby, you should come dance,
I've been waiting for your arrival all night,
So I can get down on one knee,
And ask you, if you'll marry me?
Blaine moved his guitar strap around his torso so the guitar sat on his back and pulled a small navy box out of his pocket, opening the lid. He kneeled down, right in front of Kurt.
"Kurt, I have loved you for so long, danced with you forevermore and sang with you more times to count. I want to continue that and I want our relationship to be stronger than ever before. Before I met you, I was just a lost, scared boy, running away from his bullies but Kurt, you showed me how to love myself and you showed me what it means to truly love someone the way I do for you. So, on this day, I want to ask you… Kurt Hummel, will you marry me?"
Kurt was dumbfounded, he couldn't breathe. He was so overwhelmed with love and he wanted to continue to feel that. So he replied with…
"Yes. I do, I really, really do. I've always wanted to..." Kurt said getting more excited every time he spoke it. Blaine smiled as a tear rolled down his cheek, as did Kurt, and he slid the ring onto Kurt's finger with ease. Kurt frantically wiped away his tears and leaned in to kiss Blaine. The kiss lasted long, soaking in each others love as their hearts were filled with purity. "I thought you said you were in a meeting…" Kurt said pulling away reluctantly.
"Yeah… that might not have been true," Blaine said laughing happily.
"But we know our love is." Kurt smiled once more, glancing down at the silver ring on his finger.
Thanks for reading, it means the world to me. xxx
