Hello everyone! How're you all? Fine and safe?
Here it remains, my new five-shot. In all my fics, I have portrayed all my favorite pairings as if they loved each other with all the love created by the Creator. But in this fic? The case will be quite different. Unlike my other stories, it will be based on hatred and its slow transformation into love. Reason?
Look, the pairings I ship...are quite opposite. Like, I actually ship the sun with the moon, the snowfall raining from the white sky with the lightning cracking in the black sky, the ever-verdant forest with a lifeless desert, the cheerful gusts of wind with the sweet, calm, shy, naive mother earth...
Cousin 1: And red wine with black cigarette...or red blood with black poison...
Me: *Glares at her* Shut up!
Okay, I was saying that the members of my OTps are quite opposite to their partners, in nature, in behavior, in demeanor-almost in everything. They are from two different worlds always. That's why, this time, I have decided to compose one single story of these two worlds. Hope you know everything about my choices and preferences, so don't ask me why.
This time, I am not writing this story alone. Rather, all my cousins (We are five in total) are co-writing this! The cousin who is closest to my age (I'm the eldest) listened to it and was so hyped to know it that he designed a structure of the plot. He also named it, so all credits go to him. Let me introduce you to Red (Nickname) aka the Ray Kon in Misty's family! Red, say hello to our readers.
Red: *Throwing flying kisses to you all* Beautiful ladies, give me love (Though you won't get it back)
Me: *Narrows eyes* Gonna report it to your Salima rn.
Red: Uh...I only told them to give me love, not to take my love, di!
Me: Okie...now, let's introduce the second author. Roop, where are you?
Roop: *Pushes her hair back* Hi, everyone! This is Roop aka the Julia of Misty's family. Don't mess with me...
Me: What kind of greeting is it?
Roop: But if you're nice, I'll be the sweetest sister of you all!
Me: That's so kind of you, Rupu. Now...the third one...
Blue: The Max Tate of Misty's family, lover of all Beyblade girls and hater of Red...
Red: Shut up, Blue!
Me: May I mention why you have chosen these nicknames?
Both Red and Blue: Okay, let's become silent. We love our honor, after all :P
Me: And...finally...meet our Dew-chan, the youngest of all my cousins!
Dew-chan: *Bows and gives a shy smile* Nice to meet you all.
Me: So sweet of you, Dew-chan! Btw, do you know that you have got a lot of co-wives here?
Dew-chan: *Widened eyes* What?
Me: Anyways, forget it. As I was saying, we are writing it together. A production of Misty's cousin gang it is. I don't think I need to mention the pairings here, yet, here it goes:

Cousins: *Cheers* YESS!
River Fuji. Once upon a time, she was considered to be the holiest river of Japan. She was long, narrow in size, serpentine in shape, glossy in color and doting in nature. She herself didn't know where, how and why she was going. Her beginning, her end-these things could never be guessed by the common people. Bossy she was, often visiting the farm of any cultivator without any warning. The sky checked its image on her mirror and smiled. They didn't mind, instead, smiles used to flash all over their faces. She was always adorable, playing with the bunches of geese and lotuses. But in monsoon, her destructive form could easily be witnessed. She would get restless, she wanted to demolish everything into bits; outrageous waves rising high and dragging plants, animals, birds and people. The trees whose roots were strong and deep would shiver violently but couldn't protest, just standing by the shore in rows. Yet, people loved her. Why not? She was the affectionate mother of them after all!
Right at the opposite side of River Fuji, there was mount Fuji. He was high, skyscraping, piercing the soft barriers of clouds and rising like a phoenix from the ashes. Rough and tough he was; not broken or cracked so easily. Despite having so much strength, he had a cold, serious demeanor. Apparently, he was harmless. However, seeing him, the eyes of the people would get lowered, they would shudder in an unknown fear. Of course, he was ruthless but nobody could discover the real warmth at the depth of his heart. He was cool-headed, knowing that patience is the key to success. Besides, he was aware of the consequences of losing control from himself. If fire cannot be controlled, it only spreads destruction all over its surroundings. That's why he kept quiet, only viewing the happenings around him and standing in a proud posture, straightening its backbone. He had promised himself that he would never break down. Never in his lifetime.
At this side of river Fuji, there was Hiawatha, the kingdom of water, spreading its freshness and aroma everywhere. Right under mount Fuji, Kaen, the realm of fire, was shining gorgeously like the sun. River Fuji and Mount Fuji were imagined to be one soul in two different bodies but Kaen and Hiawatha were two different worlds, having similarities tending to zero. The bond between river Fuji and mount Fuji was always praised and adored by everyone. But what about the relationship between Kaen and Hiawatha? What was its base?
Enmity, based on pure hatred.
People of both of the kingdoms could never guess from where the hatred had sprung and spread all over Kaen and Hiawatha. Some rumors had used to rise during previous days-the rituals, customs, cultures of two empires didn't have any similarity. So what?
Doesn't the sky kiss the earth beyond eyes?
Don't lightning bolts see their image on the flashing surface of cold ice?
Doesn't the sun shower its light on the moon?
In the fire of the sun, doesn't water turn into vapors and initiate monsoon?
Doesn't the oasis fill life into a desert which is arid?
Then why would there be so much antagonism and hatred?
Nobody knew the answer.
Today, there was the weekly veneration at the temple of lady Wolvia, in Hiawatha Kingdom. The icy pillars of the temple were adorned with the garlands of blue chikoris. White marigold festoons were swinging in semi-arcs from the arcades and entries. Cold, blue flames from the silver lamps and fragrant candles were spreading their calmness all over the shrine. Azure velvet runners were laid on the crystal floors. In the parabolic niches made on the quartz walls, there were different statues of many ancient deities and legendary personalities. Various artworks were painted there too. At the last edge, in a special chamber, the idol of a white wolf, made of gypsum, was placed. Its neck occupied a diamond and aquamarine necklace, a sapphire circlet was swathed around its forehead. Her devotees were standing in two separate queues.
At the center, the scarlet-haired priest was uttering the holy chants. His bold, yet, humble voice was echoing through the entire hall, purifying the atmosphere automatically. Dressed in a plain white Analavos with navy-blue robes, his head wore a silver circlet. Blood tresses crossed his fair neck. Wrists had metal wristcuffs. Seeing his holy avatar, everyone used to bow before him. He was considered to be the best devotee of the wolf-Goddess in Hiawatha Kingdom. Completing the chants, he rang the bell, indicating that the veneration had been completed as its mellifluous tune rushed in every direction. All the followers of Wolvia bowed before her statue with reverence and humbleness.
Turning back with the platter of the offerings, Yuriy smiled with his aquamarine orbs. Before a few hours, empress Hiromi, commander Ray, princess Dew and agent Max had come to his temple and completed their veneration. It was the turn of the general disciples. He kept distributing sweets among them. Taking them, the followers were bidding farewell to the priest and leaving the temple. In the end, only one left.
She was standing at the last point of the women's queue. With a tall posture, she had an attractive figure. Her face couldn't be seen since she was wearing a long, deep-red veil with golden linings that almost reached her chest. But it could be guessed that she was very beautiful and charming. Putting on any bright color specially in the temple of Goddess Wolvia wasn't a sin or something like that, but, of course, daring. It was contrast with the surroundings. However, Yuriy didn't feel much odd. Without saying anything, he approached the anonymous lady with the platter and held it in front of her, smiling a bit.
"My lady, thank you so much for attending the veneration," Yuriy stretched the platter in front of her, "Please, accept the offering. May lady Wolvia be in your favor always."
The mysterious woman laughed a bit, his ears couldn't avoid it. Taking the piece of sweet, she turned back with a jolt and moved her feet as fast as she could. Right then, Yuriy's eyes caught the strange thing.
The sweet, through the fingers of the female devotee, was melting and dropping on the floor!
A little storm passed across the brain of the redhead. Why would the sweet melt in this way? Many a time before it, weekly venerations had taken place, so had the distribution of the offerings. But never had it happened in his temple. In his mind, skepticism and ill feelings about the woman peeped. Not delaying much, he placed the tray on the nearest table, grabbed a black shawl from nearby, wrapped it around his head and shoulders and followed her. She was already out of the temple but didn't go much far. Yuriy ensured it so that nobody could recognize him. It wouldn't be so good for his reputation if anyone got to know that Yuriy Ivanov, the head-priest of Wolvia temple, was after an unknown woman.
However, the followed lady didn't have much idea about it. Even the melting of the sweet had also stopped after a few moments. Unworried and free from all kinds of tensions, she halted in front of a narrow canal. Its water was translucent, the verdant earth beneath it was visible, so were the colorful tiny fishes swimming there. A mischievous smirk rose in her lips. They wobbled a bit, preparing to utter any chants.
"Halt!"
Hearing the serious, cold voice of a man, her soul shuddered. Yet, she didn't move back, continuing her job. Now, she felt a tug at her veil. Before she could turn behind and discover who was calling her, it dropped from her head, untying her thick, long chocolate hair which was tied into a tidy bun, attached to the red georgette cape.
She wheeled in 180-degree, screwing her brows. Beneath those hairy curvatures, a pair of bright emeralds were shining violently. Lively orange bangs, flurrying in gusts and tapping her forehead, were trying desperately to cover the fire hidden in her eyes but failing miserably. Lush, knee-length coffee hair was also blowing, not paying any heed to any boundary of social customs. Tangerine lips were molded in a disconcerted and infuriated pout. Wearing a yellow-orange, off-shoulder, halter-neck gown with golden accessories bedecked with fire opals and moonstones, she was a flame in the territory of Hiawtha. Yuriy Ivanov couldn't blink after his gazes had met hers. Obviously, he was flustered, so was she but it wasn't visible in the expressions of the latter.
"I didn't expect such a manner of hospitality from the head-priest of the temple of Goddess Wolvia," Blazes showered from her voice, "Or…should I take it as one of the cultures of Hiawatha, priest Yuriy Ivanov?"
"So…you're not from Hiawatha, are you?" Yuriy managed himself as her tone pierced his ears, "If not, may I know from where you have come?"
"Why should I tell you?" The dual-haired lady grinned, "I'm not compelled to do so."
"You're!" The priest demanded, "Intruders are not allowed to enter the territory of Hiawatha without permission, my lady. My crime is nothing in comparison with yours."
"Hmm…I see…" She directly gaped at his eyes, "In Hiawatha, the dignity of a woman isn't greater than the dignity of a kingdom, is it?"
"You're misinterpreting the meaning of my words, lady," Yuriy was cool-headed, "Hiawatha is blessed with a worthy, perfect female ruler. After it, it doesn't need any justification or logic to prove how high the status of women is in this kingdom. But…it doesn't mean that criminals will be left unpunished here. Kindly introduce yourself. Hiding is a sign of the cowards, you know. You don't seem so."
"You're taking the test of my courage, huh?" Her eyes flickered, "Okay, listen to me carefully. I'm Julia Fernandez, the princess of Kaen kingdom."
Yuriy's jaw dropped, eyes went extended once again along with a chill rushing through his spine. To whom was he talking? She was a freaking enemy of their kingdom, coming here only with a view to destroying Hiawatha! She was a spy, wanting to turn the precious water empire into ashes. That's why, she'd been covering her face in the temple, in front of him and other devotees. Yuriy could never have known it if he hadn't trailed her secretly. His frozenness reached his head, he clenched his teeth and popped out something from the navy-blue waistband. Julia simply rolled her eyes at it.
"What happened?" She sneered, "Are you much afraid knowing my actual identity?"
"You've committed such a grave mistake coming here, princess!" Yuriy grabbed her wrists and placed the naked dagger at her throat, hissing like a furious cobra, "Thank your luck that you are still alive. If I wanted, I could slaughter you in hundreds of pieces right now. But I'm a priest and a priest doesn't mistreat any woman ever in his life!"
Julia felt an arctic sharpness at her vocal cord. Anytime, it could slit her throat and banish her from the earth forever. She stared at his icy orbs once. Really, they were seeming merciless, dreadful and silently ferocious at that time. Yet, she didn't forget who she was. Not gulping, not shuddering, she gnashed her fangs too.
"You're trying to scare me?" Julia simpered, "You think I will be frightened? I will be begging for my life, kneeling down in front of you? I'll plead before you so that you don't complain to your empress against me? So that you let me return safely to my kingdom?"
Tala couldn't blink or remove his stares from her burning jades. They were addictive, they were endless, bottomless. In his 25-year long life, he'd never gazed directly at the eyes of a woman, let alone touching. Her skin was giving fiery sensations to his fingertips. Was the skin of a woman always felt like it? It was his first experience, he was, in fact, enjoying it…no no, what the hell was he imagining? He was a man of religion, he was righteous. He should never have thought these things about Julia, particularly when she was the archenemy of their kingdom. But…why couldn't he have taken her to the custody of empress Hiromi yet? What was happening to him?
"Thud!"
His back collided with a nearby tree behind him as his eyes, once again, went larger than coins. Never could he have realized how he had been shot back by the woman. He felt his blood corpuscles shaking violently, like getting hit by any jolt of thunder. Gritting his jaw, he tried to stand up but couldn't as he lost his energy though he himself didn't have any idea about it. The dual-haired fire-princess burst out laughing the laughter of victory, seeing his condition. Yuriy helplessly looked at her eyes which were dancing as if they'd been very amused at all these things.
"Don't try to stand up right now, priest," She warned, "I have tied you with the invisible rope of thunderbolt. Don't worry, after a few moments, you'll be free. But…"
Turning to the lake, she closed her eyes. Uttering some chants mutely, she blew as, within a blink of eye, all the water turned into vapors from the slim brook. Again, she rotated her head to the fastened redhead who was still struggling much to believe whatever happening around him.
"Warn your empress!" She threatened him with a pair of dark eyes and a spooky pitch, "The lava flowing from volcano Fuji will visit your beloved kingdom very soon! Within no moment, Hiawatha will become a pile of ashes! Plants, animals, birds, human beings, buildings, castles-even a single droplet of water won't remain here to witness the dance of destruction and mourn for all these things! Be prepared for it!"
Yuriy's eyes sensed heavy, he was feeling very sleepy-just like falling through an endless pit. There was no headache, no nauseous sensation, it was much comfortable. Before his eyelids had covered his ocean orbs, he saw the mysterious, twin-haired princess disappearing amidst the vapors…
Or say…getting absorbed in the steams…
So...how's the prologue? Chilling, right?
Red: -_-
Me: What happened? *Screws brows*
Red: This should have been a pure KaiHil and RaySal, from where have you brought this TalaJul?
Roop: *Placing her palms on her hip* Any problem, bro?
Red: *Gulps*
Blue: *Whispers in Red's ears* Bro, don't believe Misty Di's hands. She's going to get you destroyed in love in this fic too!
Red: *Frowns* Is it true, Di?
Misty: No no bro, not at all...hey Blue! Just shut up, otherwise, I'll tell everyone that you have a secret crush on Salima.
Red: Blue has a secret crush on WHOM?! O_O O_O
Blue: I don't need an enemy when I have a sister like you *Runs*
Red: Come back, you stupid *Runs behind*
Misty: Ahem, don't pay any heed to the boys, we sisters are better.
Red: Seriously? Before a few days back, you used to quarrel with Roop regarding Kai!
Dew-chan: I'm the witness!
Misty: Enough, you all! So Roop, did you like it?
Roop: Woah...every male in this story is either commander or warrior...and Yuriy is a priest?
Misty: You're violent enough. Tala...
Roop: I said I love his Japanese name more!
Misty: Okay, so Yuriy will cool your thunderbolts by his icy touches. He's the humble of all here!
Roop: *Sighs* Yeah, whatever...
Misty: Okay, whatever it is, I hope you have liked this chapter. Say, should we continue it? Or not? My updates will be regular from the next month, I guess. No need to worry, okie? Do read and review. Pardon the grammatical and spelling errors. Take care and stay safe :D
Roop: And do mention...whom of us have you liked the most?
Red: Of course...it's me...
Misty: Shut up, you chick magnet! And let's sign out...
