Chapter 1: The Final Push

If You're going through a rough time, keep going until you reach the end. If you're going through hell, keep going

(Cue A Galaxy Divided Soundtrack)

The Collective under Siege! Ever since learning that the Obsidians have been secretly helping the Republic to end the Clone War in their neutrality, Separatists forces have launched several offenses against Obsidian held space.

In a given time, Obsidians were pushed to the blink! In Response to this, the Senate had dispatched joint clone-Obsidians forces and Jedi Council were forced to send out newly knighted Jedi to assist the scattered Obsidian Collective.

On an Obsidian planet called Zides N08, Jedi Knight Shyon Norith is getting ready to lead the nicknamed Doom Raiders and Local Forces for One Last Push!

(Zides N08, Sector 7-4-6-9)

Ever since the Obsidian Collective colonized mid to outer rim 700 years before the Grand Republic, Zides N08 has been a desert world within The Alpha Knedai System, the "home" system of the Obsidian Collective in the Outer Rim.

Zides N08 may be seen as having no significant strongholds since its population is at least 15% due to water. However, that the Obsidians wanted their enemies to see because Zides N08 and planets, that are closer to Obsidian colonial capital world Orion A42, have secret anti-planetary warfare defense system that protected Orion A42 from enemy actions ranging from Invasion, bombardment, and unnatural planetary destruction. For some unknown reason, Zides N08 became exposed to the Separatists as they sent a more powerful droid army into the Alpha Knedai System.

The Battle of Zides N08 was a tough battle for the Obsidians for the first time, they were losing ground more and more as time pass by. Lucky before all hopes lost on Zides N08, SHE contracts the Republic for aid, which the call was answered. The call in the form of 441th Battalion or often nicknamed as Doom Raiders, which consists of Obsidian Merc Units and clones, under the commands of Shyon Norith helped turn the favor back to the Collective.

Sector 7-4-6-9 is a temporary staging ground of Doom Raiders and Obsidians which the location is safe from Droid armies in the mountains that emitted a more powerful Ion effect onto anything that isn't organic. Lucky the Obsidians in station on Zides N08 knows how to avoid the Ion effects due to studying and finding a way to avoid weapon jamming, they shared their knowledge to the "Doom Raiders" Battalion. Since then, Shyon Norith wasted no time calling for armor and air support since the droids are going to fight for every inch of Sector 7-4-7-2 with everything they can have.

From a nearby rocky cliff, a group of six overlooks the mobilization of their allies. A total of 11 Juggernaut Turbo tanks, a line of AV-7 cannons, and 5 AT-TE tanks as main battle force for the Republic ground forces with a host of LAAT/ 5 Carrier Gunships and 3 Y-wing Bomber squadrons as Republic air support. The Collective have sent specific vehicles designed for desert warfare such as the AG63 Cobra tanks (designed for troop support), KZY8 Impulse tanks (designed for armor-to-armor combat), a pair of E.D.Z artillery cannons, and a large number of APC B-15 Arburias (ground-based troop carriers) with a huge number of Centurion Troop Carriers and Rogueheat gunships.

One of these six individuals is a Captain of the Doom Raiders and thus, the third in command of the 441th battalion. (Unofficial, he's the commander of all Obsidian Mercs within the 441 since the majority of clones loathed Obsidians for many reasons that ranged within their genes to their equipment and weapons being more advanced than the clones.) As an Obsidian Merc Captain, this Obsidian wears codename Olympic armor, which designed for maximum protection against environment & blaster fire with 75% mobility better than clone armor, decorated in the colors of black (primary) and orange (secondary) and a helmet (with an orange colored visor) that resembles like the ARF trooper helmet. On the chest area of the area, it has a triple digit number inputted with an icon (in the form of a pentagon, a trident with five stars) graphed. This captain wields a Honed Ion Rifle, a standard issue rifle for Obsidians against machinery targets.

What makes a standard Obsidian Merc to a standard Clone Trooper is the very fact they basically carry shoulder mounted weapons ranging from point blank, lock-on, single fire, and rapid fire. As a higher rank, this captain has double shoulder mounted guns that are set in point range and lock-on.

A meter or two in front of the Obsidian Merc Commander are two of the group; one clone whiles the other, an Obsidian Merc crouching low. Like the Captain, the Obsidian Merc wears similar armor, color, and the icon. Yet, this one has a single shoulder mounted gun that is experienced in anti-vehicle, a double digit number, and his helmet resembles more like Tech from Clone Force 99 with dual fusion information camera system. This Merc Unit carries a Null Bolt, a sniper weapon designed for slowing or jamming heavy moving targets large enough for an ally to destroy it. The only clone of the group wears the same color scheme Phase 2 clone trooper armor while having a DC-15S.

The clone of the group says "Everything appears ready; they are waiting."

The Obsidian Merc next to the clone looks straight at one of two Commanders of the Doom Raiders, "Freewatch… It's time!"

The now named Captain Freewatch nodded his head while saying in an eager tone, "Yes, Powercut… time to purity our home system of these Separatism Fascists for good!"

Freewatch switch his view from Powercut to the clone, "Clue, helps Maniac, Grimjump, and Pursuit! Today, we hunt!"

The now named Clue, one of the few clone troopers that treated Obsidian as a whole as friends, heavily sighed at the order. The reason was simple: Maniac, an Obsidian Merc that uses "Final Words" Cannon and discharges its energy bullets onto everything he unleashes it to regardless of friend or foe, has a personality that everyone wanted to avoid spending time with. However, Clue responds, "Yes, sir!"

With that Clue joins with the trio that stay behind the hill as Freewatch and Powercut moved down the rocky cliff by walking the route that take the group up. As they wanders into staging area, the duo walks past some clones, Obsidian military and security units towards where they could see 441's general, the clone commander, and the Obsidian Command Unit. Freewatch is used to these reactions, but Powercut seems disturbs seeing one of the clones that still haven't put on his helmet looks at them with a mean look. After all, Obsidian Units thinks of their Merc counterparts as traitors to the Collective since the latter were programmed to be loyal to whoever buys Merc Units and most clones don't like due to the following: better weapons, protection, and are fully trained at the moment they were "born."

By the time they reached the leaders, the clone commander of 441th saw Freewatch and Powercut approaching them and started to walk to meet Freewatch. This clone commander wears ARC trooper armor with integrated antennas. This ARC commander has the same black color as the primary color, but his secondary color is white as his helmet has markings that made him look like a monster.

"Ahh… the Survivor of Ryloth decided to grace me with his presence! Thought for a moment that you were shot by a random droid patrol or slacking around, Freewatch?" said the Clone Commander.

At some point within the opening of the Clone War, a Jedi Master convinced the Collective Queen to produce a Merc Army to shorten the Clone War. However, they have only produced 400 Merc Units halfway to the first year of the Clone War. Freewatch or Unit-177 is one of the first generation Merc Units in service of the Republic and was placed in Captain Keeli's platoon. During the Last Stand of Ryloth, Unit-177 only survived that time due to Droid forces blasting a piece of the canyon and was buried alive. By the time he gets out of the rumble, he relocates with local resistance until Mace Windu's forces arrive. When Ryloth was liberated, the Survivor of Ryloth was placed with another Clone Battalion with a cruel Jedi Master and his disciple, Shyon Norith.

Unlike Clones being grateful for surviving, Obsidians designed for warfare are programmed to fight till the last breath and being saved by likes of misfire is considered disgraceful. As such, Freewatch hated being reminded of such and invaded the personal space of the clone commander which reminded the clone that all Republic Obsidians stand seven feet tall.

Freewatch looks down at the Clone Commander, "You know full well that I don't go down easily. Besides, we (his hand motioning Powercut and himself) shall not fail and shall fight anyone who dares threaten the Republic or the Collective anywhere! Next time, pick your opponent the right size Venom!"

The now named Clone Commander Venom just glared in his helmet as he says, "Bet I can make you small!"

The newly knighted Shyon Norith and General of the Doom Raiders seeing once more Freewatch enters another verbal/visual beat down with Venom. Shyon Norith is a 6'2 foot tall human Jedi whom her appearance is considered to be irregular among the Jedi Order. She had long blonde hair tied in a braid that ran down her back and blue eyes, full of annoyance at the sight of the 27th fight between Captain Freewatch and Commander Venom. Instead of the standard Jedi robes, her developed figure is clad in armor that befits the New Sith Wars era. She wore Phase 2 clone greaves and blue cape that completely covers her backside.

She left OCU-4001 and OSU-90475442 to approach the trio. One of her arms reaches out to be purposely seen by both commanders once she is close enough. Once they realize their Jedi General is standing in front with a blank look, the trio stand face to their field supreme commander and salute her.

"I'm going to say this for the last time boys! Commander Venom, I know most of your men are against fighting alongside Obsidians. But, the facts remain that they have helped shorten this war to four years," the Jedi general said to Venom who looks angry with the fact that these Mercs have done more than a standard clone trooper ever done in the war.

"Captain Freewatch…" Shyon paused for she still can't believe he and other Obsidians in the Grand Army of the Republic have names that still sound like machine nicknames. "I know that you have had a bad relationship with Commander Venom ever since my late master, but this little who's better game needs to end soon! Now shake your hand with Venom," this causes Freewatch and Powercut to look at her funny.

"It's an old saying of no hard feelings for people like me. Since the war is reaching its end, it's far important for both of you to be friends. Now shake," General Norith says her final word that forces Venom to hold out his hand as Freewatch looks ready to shake his hand. Only to find Captain Freewatch literally shaking his hands in front of Venom.

Before it became more intense, a comm link channel alert the four as every Obsidians and clones alike have their comm link started beeping: signaling deployment as unknown Obsidian Operator Units instruct each of the Obsidian Defense Unit, Merc Unit, Warrior Unit, Command Unit, and clones to their transportations.

Unknowing to the soldiers, the Jedi left out a breath of relief as operation starting saved her the trouble of handing this command structure issue. She walked a bit closer to Freewatch as she whispers only he can hear, "Please, come back in one piece! For my sake!"

Freewatch only nodded his head to the Jedi since there is a time and place for everything. Freewatch and Powercut begin to approach a Juggernaut Turbo tank, the Jedi headed for a LAAT and Commander Venom headed inside AT-TE. Just about they were about to board their transport, OCU-4001 uses a voice speaking in a device that any clones and obsidian warfare units could hear: preparing for a war speech to all.

OCU-4001 says, "Defenders of the Collective, the day has finally come for us to achieve vengeance unto these Separatist Vermin! We have lost many, but their sacrifice will bring us closure of their pathetic excuse of invading our lands. Our sea of steel has become so powerful that it will shift clean of this puppet army. It shall be an honor and privilege of cleansing this infestation to be a part of! When we capture the scum that foolish enough of thinking conquering the Mother World, their defeat and humiliation will become fact in our history! These cheap metals will truly see what they have unleashed and our vengeance will be complete!"

Once OCU-4001 finished his speech, the staging area was full of a roaring: the roaring of native born Obsidians as they pumped their fists into the air as they yelled for their promise of payback will be fulfilled. Some of Doom Raider Obsidians also pumped their fists into the air as clones disregarded this as they entered their transports. Freewatch and Powercut board their transport in their respectful seat as the Juggernaut tank begins to move towards what might be considered the final battle within Obsidian owned space.

As they travel, Freewatch could tell that something with Powercut as he asks, "What's eating you, Powercut?"

Powercut looks at Freewatch and seems to be thinking what to say to his commander. In the end, Powercut decided to speak, "Why did you always argue with Commander Venom?"

"It was during the Battle of Duro that our general's master, Gren Duuzzi was tasked at keeping the enemy at bay. When the defense line was falling, Captain Venom ordered me and my squad to deal with the enemy as we made a retreat with promise for reinforcements to help my men to escape… nade, but not kept. Weren't it not for our general to save my men from completely outnumbered, I wouldn't have made you when the enemy occupation was at its peak. After that I confront the newly made Commander Venom about it, it was revealed Gren ordered to fall back, but Venom purposely mortifies the order in the hope of wiping out Obsidians…"

Powercut was shocked at the information so much that he takes a look at clone troopers wondering that they can go that low if given the chance to rid Obsidians since this was no secret that clones hated Obsidians for good reasons [to them]. Powercut was there in that battle and during the occupation of one of Duro's cities, but Powercut at the time was part of the defense corps at the time and wasn't part of Freewatch's command. Powercut meet Freewatch when he pretends to be dead to the dumb battle droids and together they assassinated a Neimoidian named Key Drigrid in hopes of creating a hole in the enemy command structure and grip over Duro. They were successful at what they thought the mastermind behind the Battle of Duro and escaped, but it barely dented the command. It was the start of a kinship as Powercut stick with Freewatch throughout the clone wars.

"Since that battle, it only goes to show that we can only trust ourselves and be careful of whom we trust from now on!" Freewatch finished what he had to say to Powercut. Ever since he comforted the General at the time and Venom, he lost all faith and respect towards nearly all clone troopers from that form of betrayal.

Want to move on that hard point, Powercut asks, "Any Intel on the 'scum' leading in the droid army here?"

"From what I have gathered, it's an Ishi Tib known as Rul Foloff."

(Zides N08, Sector 7-4-7-2)

Ahead of the combined forces is a lone MTT heading to Sector 7-4-7-2, the location where the remnants of CIS Invasion Force are holding out, with abnormal speed to reach its destination. But, when it seems going too fast, it slows down as if the pilot wanted the Republic/Collective forces to catch up. Soon, the MTT transport reaches the only military base within that sector.

Sector 7-4-7-2 mostly consists of mountains and sand that it would have made sense for the Obsidians to build a base that ¾ of the area is blocked by mountains with one way out and one way in. The base is supposed to be about the size of one of Christophsis' cities if it included all hangars, defense platforms, and barracks. It was supposed to be unconquerable since it can withstand whatsoever the enemy can throw at them and the opening by ground forces have a built-in sensor that can be ray shielded at the slightest detection.

All-in-all, the military base of the sector was built to be unconquerable by enemy forces. However, since the Collective haven't faced a war with anyone, it tends to leave bases to be outdated which the Droid army managed to capture. Among the Base's only entrance are battle droids: a B1 commander droid, a squad of B2 droids, a pair of droideka snipers to be more specific have been ordered to guard the entrance since the fleet that suppose to retrieve their leader, Rul Foloff, were wiped out leaving the Separatists stranded on enemy lines.

The first generation droid commander got sighted on the MTT heading to their location in the distance, "huh?"

Two out four B2 Battle droids approached their commanding droid as all droids on the gate and the wall near the only entrance noticed the lonely MTT as well. "Are we expecting this?" said one of the super battle droids.

"Don't know, we thought we had all droids accounted for three days ago." The commander droid said to its allies before contracting the MTT pilot droids, "Attention! Unknown Vehicle slowed down and resumed your approach with appropriate speed or risked fire upon."

"Roger! Roger!" The MTT droid pilot replied as the MTT followed the instructions as most defense turrets and units went into standby mode.

As the MTT approaches, the droid commander order a pair of B1 battle droids to acquire scanners to scan the MTT since the gate system were manipulated to support the CIS after all. Once MTT is at the gate, the two battle droids use the scanners to scan the vehicle as the guards have their weapons trained on the MTT weak points should the scanners detect organic life.

Unknown to the droids, the droid pilot of the MTT transport was a reprogrammed droid to serve the joint alliance to recapture the base. Once it gets a signal from the alliance stating allied forces are in position, it grabs some sort of trigger device lying next to the controls.

Before the droid pilot clicks the device, it says the battle cry of the Collective, "For Queen and Pantisocracy!"

Once the droid activates the trigger, the cargo hold in the MTT lights up and goes off as a full cargo of Republic/Collective bombs. The result came in the form of an explosion powerful enough to create a big hole in the defense wall as well create a cloud of dust to signal the allies forces to attack.

In a command post of the base, the separatist high command felt the explosion caused by the MTT pilot. 99% percent of the present high command of the invasion force is a squad of Commando droids as bodyguards, 2nd generation droid commanders, a few of B1 Battle droids as operators, and a Super Tactical Droid. The only organic was the very one who was foolish enough to strike the Collective's home system and the target, Rul Foloff.

Once the MTT explosion passed its course, Rul Foloff asked in its native language, (WHAT WAS THAT!? Did a mountain erupt?)

With that, the command post went fully in damage control at the current event until the Green-marked Super Tactical Droid communicates with the droids at the wall to get their reports. Once the green super tactical droid finishes, it approaches Rul Foloff as it says, "There was an explosion…"

Before the Super T-Droid could finish, Rul Foloff shouts, (I know what that is, HYDRA! I need to know what caused it?)

The now codenamed Super T-Droid Hydra continues, despites his supreme leader's outburst, "The explosion was at the Gate when the security forces were investigating a lone MTT transport. Since we count all droids with the base three days ago, it is heavily logical that the enemy have captured a functioning MTT and used it to blast a hole into our defense."

That logic alone causes Rul Foloff to appear scared as most of the B1 Battle Droids look to their Supreme Commander and General Hydra. Rul Foloff said with dread, (You mean that…)

"Yes, the enemy is here! It will be advisable that you be as far away from the battlefield as possible!" said General Hydra as Rul Foloff takes that advice as he rushes out of the room with his droid commando security detail with him.

General Hydra was quick on action to begin firing out commands and orders once Rul Foloff is outside the command post. Immediately, every droid jumped into high gear as they worked to coordinate their defense forces against the alliance. Just when General Gydra and lower commanders get a blaster when the first mortar strike lands on the base.

(On the outskirts of the Base)

By the time the hijacked MTT entered the base's perimeter, AV-7 cannons and E.D.Z artillery cannons were set far out of the droids artillery range and ready for its first salvo. The plan works as the MTT creates an opening as land-based transportation vehicles were the first to arrive when the cannons started their mortar strikes. Republic Gunships dropped the republic armor support and the Obsidian armor support positioned themselves out of range of the enemy's defense turrets and in front of the artillery cannons.

The Arburias and Juggernauts served their role in this battle by delivering the troops as all troops including Powercut, Freewatch, and OCU-4001 since they are out of range from the droids' cannons. Once the troops advance leaving the cannons in their behinds, the tanks begin to charge into the Separatist's last holdout on this planet.

OCU-4001 yelled to anyone within their hearing ranges, "The Droids are your to shoot, but Rul Foloff isn't to be harmed… now all of you CHARGE!"

With that order, all Republic troops and Obsidian soldiers charge alongside the tanks into the openings the cannons and the MTT explosion created. Both sides exchange fires at each other to weaken the numbers manning the wall or charging into the enemy's position. Few droids were blasted because they were stationary and were in the high ground due to the height of the wall. Many clones and obsidians on the other hand were getting bigger losses as they rushed into the gap of the wall with no cover but the tanks.

Behind one of the Impulse tanks are Powercut who is guiding the tank where to shoot and Freewatch who is looking into the scope of his weapon to try to shoot the targets.

"You know, it's times like these that you really need the Jedi most," Powercut commented.

"Do not worry, Powercut! Our plan is working, all according to plan!"

"It is great to fight alongside you, Captain Freewatch, in the closing chapter of the clone wars!" says Powercut after he alerted one of Hawker Defense Turret's positions to the Impulse's crew.

As the distance between themselves and the opening is rapidly closing, a series of strange noises that is unlike the blaster fire or the engines of war and booms were sounded onto the base causing damages behind enemy lines and destroying any drones that were in the blast range. Moments after that unsuspecting attack, a huge number of Republic/Collective gunships and the Centurion Troop Carriers have show themselves over the mountains as they descend guns blazing unto the turrets suited for ground-to-air combat and the armor piercing turrets that the tanks were having difficulty of destroying at.

Republic gunships and Centurions slowed their speed to a halt at random yet critical positions as the rest of the swarm circle the wall: gunning down all droids at the wall. The doors of the LAAT gunship and Centurions reveal their payload of soldiers as they begin to fast roped down for their share of limited yet high numbers of battle droids. Somewhere at the center, a battle droid or two quickly advanced to the roof of the building carrying RPS-6 rocket launchers in their shoulders. Without questioning what to do next, they aimed at the closest LAAT and fire their payload.

The first rocket successfully hit the LAAT by the wing causing the gunship to whirl out of control as two or three clone troopers, that haven't fast rope to the ground, whirl with it. The second rocket was considered overkill as it hits the same LAAT at where the pilots are causing it to explode in an instant as it hurled down onto the three clone troopers.

The two droids fist pumped each other for taking down a LAAT without being detected. Before they could ever aim their launchers at the second gunship, a third gunship showed up just above them and Jedi general Shyon jumped out of the gunship as she ignited her yellow lightsaber and sliced off a droid head. Before the remaining droid could panicked or muttered 'what the!?,' Shyon simply flipped her lightsaber and thrust it into where the main power source is located while she didn't even look at the droid.

She sheathed her lightsaber as she placed her hand unto her ear saying, "This is Shyon to Spear Battalion. The enemy is trapped between Arrows and Spears!"

The communicator in her ear replied, "Praise the First! Thought that you will miss all the action since the winds around the Golfda range are powerful enough to drive any aircraft to crash."

Shyon says, "There were some moments along the way, but we're here and able."

"Good! Jedi Norith, you should have the honor of capturing the scum while we have the honor of retaking our land as planned!"

"Copy!" was all Shyon says at the response as she was conflicted for some unknown reason. Then, she takes a look behind as she is greeted by the sight of Commander Venom and his team fast-roping to her location.

With a sigh, Shyon says to the troops present, "We continue as planned, Commander."

All Commander Venom and his squad do is nod their heads and cocked their weapons as they their jedi general to the area where they believed the Ishi Tib is hiding as remaining droids are in disarray as they face airborne squads behind them as well as the main bulk of the allied forces flowing into the holes of the defense like water.

Freewatch yells as he and Powercut joined in the 'fun' of home owned and Republic owned Obsidians, "Clean every inch of this base and leave the HQ building as LAST!"

Freewatch leads Powercut and a squad to the route that surely granted them to HQ since he wanted fight alongside the OCU that planned the assault to take down the machine called itself Hydra. When they made sufficient progress as they spirit and shooting any droids that stands in their way, they stopped as they caught sight of a B1 grapple droid enters a fist fight with two of homeland Obsidians while a B2 grapple droid, which was about to ambush the two losing Obsibians until it caught sight of Freewatch's fireteam.

It shields itself with its large 'hands' as the Freewatch focus fire on the B2 grapple droid, but grapple droids are specifically designed for combating Jedi. All they did was waste their shots against a machine that resists lightsaber strikes. The B2 grapple continues march closer to the its enemies as one of the Freewatch changed his tactic as he walks backwards as he armed his shoulder mounted missile launcher that carries two mid-size payload: one that is designed of taking a chunk of any droids like the B3 battle droid and the other designed for causing an energy surge that shut down any droids within a 15-foot radius.

Switching his helmet display from standard to lock-on system as the shoulder mounted missile launcher came to life as its head moves where the Merc is looking at. Once the Merc's head is steady, the missile launcher opens its doors. Knowing that using the missile to blow it up will endanger his squad, he says just before sending the bottom missile to the heavy droid, "It's time for some THUNDER!"

His commander officer along with his comrades were able to notice the missile at the last second as they disengage the droid. However, it was too late for the droid as the missile hit its mark on its hardened shell, igniting an electric shock wave that extended its range beyond the fireteam and the two grappled droid models.

The results were at the moment with minor damages toward the obsidians and major damages toward any droid caught in zone; messing up equipment for the obsidians as for the B2 grapple droid including B1 grapple droid, that finished the two native-borne obsidians, were short-circuit.

Once the battle droids shut down alongside with any potential enemy nearby taken out, the fireteam were given a brief room as they looked at the obsidian who launched the missile at close range. The Obsidian in question wears all black armors like his commanding officer, but his helmet was designed with two scope where the eyes should be located and a steel mouthpiece, instead of a visor like the obsidian's helmets have. On the side of the helmet, there is an explosion symbol with huge digits within the symbol; 101.

When the Obsidian in question saw their gazes as his voice always sounded rude in moments like these, "What?"

Most of the squad, including Powercut, were yelling at him for that danger-close stunt, but Freewatch was calm to handle this. Mainly because as the Commanding Officer second to the Jedi in terms of handling Obsidian Mercs, Freewatch needs to approach this habit in a democracy way.

"1-Oh-1, next time you do without warning, you will be court-martialed for this. Do you understand?"

"But Sir..."

"Do you..."

"I did say the warning..."

"Do. You. Understand?" said Freewatch as he makes sure 1-Oh-1 gets the meaning or else.

1-Oh-1 now caught the message as he looked down and said, "Understand, sir!"

"Good! Then, let us continue on our way," Captain Freewatch said as they ventured forth to capture the building that guaranteed victory over the droid army.

They walked by a building which exploded into bits due to misguided artillery shots. Many of the droids near and in the mentioned building are blown to bits or blown into the air. Powercut ventured into the ruins once the fire died out leading his squad mates into cover. Upon their new covers, they discovers a single unscathed droid putting his gun down and raising his hands.

One of the fireteam said, "It's trying to surrender!"

Captain Freewatch doesn't buy it, "They have tried before. Do not let them!"

With that, one of them fire his weapon causing the droid to fall on the ground motionless. Powercut have to switch his favorite weapon to a another that handle groups as a trio of destroyer droids and a dozen B2 battle droids force the fire team to cover as they fired with such ferocity.

Despite having superior armor to protect themselves, the Obsidian Mercs are still fallible. The fire team hadn't advanced one inch due to fierce resistance until Freewatch saw another building that provided both flanking maneuver and better shooting range based upon high ground.

No time in the present, Captain Freewatch says, "1-Oh-1! Powercut! We cover you while you head to the building at NorthWest. Head to upper ground for better aim."

They replied, "Yes, Sir!"

Powercut was the first to break cover and continued the fight into the building in question before 1-Oh-1 followed. It would seem that the droids have similar ideas as there is a group of B1 leading by two commando droids. Powercut chucked a droid popper before using his cover to roll it near them. 1-Oh-1, being the most reckless of the battalion sprayed his blasters at any droids that were lucky enough to be out of range from the droid popper.

"be careful. There may be more upstairs," Powercut warns.

1-Oh-1 says, "You worry too much, besides we're too much for them." The duo fought to the roof, shooting any droids foolish enough to cross their paths. Once they make it to the roof, they find good cover and ready their shoulder mounted weaponry as the large droid force is closing in. After all, Powercut's weapon support may be designed against land-based vehicle-sized targets as the last missile is built for dealing with multiple enemies.

As Freewatch and the trapped fireteam are having their worst moment as the battle droids fire more rapid; forcing them to fire less and cover more.

One of Merc said, "Damn! 1-Oh-1 is sure taking his sweet time of blowing them. What took him so long?"

"Stow it! Just keep firing," said Freewatch as he managed to disable one of the rollies' shields.

The Missile Launcher of 1-Oh-1 is ready and before he launches his last missile, he yells, "BRINGING THE RAIN!"

The missile flew upward for 45 seconds before it opened up, dropping a small, yet dangerous version of itself that fell onto the majority of the droid force. The result was the destruction of B2 and Destroyer Droids as Powercut snipe down stragglers. When they finished, they rejoined the fireteam, whom they themselves were roaming out of the ruins.

Before they can choose a new path, another misguided mortar causes the collapse of a building onto a path forcing them to head to another path that leads them to the enemy artillery along with a batch of even more enemies to fight.

Freewatch yells, "Order artillery strike package as we signal it by targeting the sensor!"

The radioman of the group did what he was told to do as two Mercs took out the said device as each of them picked on the artillery cannons before they fired.

A soldier, a clone judging on the voice said, "Firing!"

Soon after that, the cannons fired at the location slewing many droids with a few of the enemy cannons, but it missed the rest as one of the cannons fired at the fire team, taking the life of one of two merc holding the targeting senor. In return, Powercut spotted a few unattended energy based containers, the one used as ammo for the cannons. Not wasting a moment, Powercut used his null ray to shoot it causing an explosion taking the last remaining cannons. It creates enough time for the last merc to mark the last droids sending a hellfire of mortars to destroy the forces.

"They are giving everything they have of slowing us down," said Powercut as they marched through the hellish fields.

"It proves that we're nearing the objective!" said Freewatch as they continued to shoot down battle droids that stand between them and HQ. They shoot down a few more B1 droids in a nearby flight of stairs and advance using said stairs. Inside the building was a lone droid destroyer, designed for sniping, shooting down their own members of the battalion. Freewatch throws a droid popper and short circuits the droid; allowing the battalion and the best fire team of said battalion to advance.

"This way!" said Freewatch as they continued the fight within the next building.

"We must be getting close! I could feel it!" declared 1-Oh-1.

"Don't worry, men. It is almost over. Just need to push one last time."

Powercut said as he switched out his weapon and made sure there was enough ammo, "After this battle, do you think the Republic will gain us citizenship instead of shipping us off to the Motherland for 'retirement.'

This gave some pause among the group for they know what retirement is in the Collective meant to be killed off and their remains became food for the Birthing Trees. The Obsidians in the Republic actually quite like living in the Republic despite treatment between Clones and Mercs are no different than fighting slaves, but the latter couldn't help thinking the Republic is better.

"I hope so, Powercut... I hope so." Freewatch declared, "FOR THE REPUBLIC, CHARGE!"

The fire team spirit-and-shoot as they were rejoined with any forces, who managed to push forward, toward the droid defenses; shooting them all. They were all hiding in a building that served as the command center as they charged one of the anti-air weapons. Powercut threw a grenade at it and it blew up, taking the droid crew with it. Powercut and the others cover Freewatch while throwing grenades at the last two anti-air weapons. More droids ran out of the Command Center to reinforce the remaining droids as droids carrying launchers marched on the roof. But, the sniper teams made short work of them as they paid enough and distracted them long enough for one of the clones to use a launcher to open a hole onto the building.

Freewatch's team were the first to enter the command center.

[To Be Continued]

Hello, Star Wars fan. This is actually my second/third attempt of making a fanfic out of popular shows based on america. The first used to be Halo, but was deleted while the second is Justice League. This story is my first fan fiction that involve with large battles instead of focusing on one on one combat as well as inspired by Star Wars Rico's Brigade with a few twists.

Since I have no idea of writing large scale battles, I played call of duty or any game that I have that involve 1st person view of wars. This story shall start near the end of the Clone Wars with a new civilization. This civilization is based off Superman's people with their names and some of their weapons are based off of Transformers. I basically search for google images for the mention vehicles since I just make up the names.

The Part 2 of the Final Push will come in time, please be patient as the story-line will time break between the Clone Wars and the Imperial Era before the rise of the Rebellion since I still needs to figure out who is going to be a part of a wide scale clone rebellion and further research.

Pray to the Force that I'm doing this right! I need it!

Next Chapter on:

Group A: Rise of the Fallen Guardian Dragon

Group B: Justice League: Strange Metals

Casas Bellum

Personal Note: No longer I'm doing a list of ascendation type of chapters with my 16-18 stories, but I will do wheel of decide between Group A and B stories of mine.
