Well, this is it. My life long dream of sharing this story with people around the world starts now. Feels good.
I love PMD, and I had came up with a bunch of stories, but most of them didn't stand the test of time or I just didn't like, so I started all over.
I didn't know that is website was a thing until mid-2020 when I started to read fanfiction regularly.
Trust me when I say this: Chapter will be longer in the future. This is just a warmup for me.
I can't wait to show you more, but as of now, this is it, and I hope you all enjoy.
Arc One: Mystery
Chapter One: I Don't Know
If there was one word to describe to describe the state I'm in, it would be...I don't know.
I don't feel like doing anything right now, infact, I don't feel like I'm on anything at all.
Regularly I would be freaking out, but...I don't know, I feel like when I'm sleeping in the night and wake up. I don't feel like opening my eyes, I just want to go back to sleep.
...
...
But I'm not falling back TO sleep. I grunt a little. "Great, I'm going to stay up all night, aren't I?" I think to myself.
Slowly I move my head over to the side, and go to open my eyes, enough to see the clock. When I do, however, I don't see it.
Strange. I have no other choice but to open them a little more. Still don't see it. I sigh to myself as I open my eyes all the way open.
To my disbelief, I STILL don't see it. In fact, as I slowly turn my head to the other side, where I would see the blue wall of my bedroom, I don't see it either, and it should be two feet away from me.
"There must be something over my eyes." I think to myself. Before I reach over my head, pain shoots through my body. "Gahhh, I don't remember feeling like this when I went to sleep." Come to think of it, I don't really remember what I was doing yesterday, or the day before that..., and before that, and that, and...
"W-w-why can't I remember anything?" No, no, no, no, I still remember...somethings. Like going to school, or the park. But the more I think about it, the more empty I feel. Going to school or to the park feel like they were weeks, or months ago.
"Wait. I still need to get this thing off my head." I chuckle to myself. I slowly move my arm up.
"Ow, ow, ow. Why do I feel like I got hit by a bus." Despite the pain, I manage to get my hand to my face, and that's when I realized two things.
One, there isn't anything over my face, because I saw something white in front of me.
Two, the "thing" was my arm. MY ARM!
I start to freak out, because as I move my arm around, the white "thing" moves with my arm, only confirming the latter to be true.
I then start to look at myself. Yes, it hurts to look at myself, but my curiosity has overwhelmed me.
At that point, I realize a third thing: My body wasn't in my PJs I thought I was wearing, instead I was red, with some black, and have white legs. For the first time in a long time, I screamed.
"AAAAHHHHHHHH-"
Before I could finish my scream, I felt something go into my mouth. It felt like a liquid just entered my throat.
I choke, trying to get it out, but as I go to breath back in, I felt the same liquid re-entering my mouth.
Suddenly, I see the black void start to turn into a dark blue, but it's light enough to not confuse it with black. I then feel like I'm no longer floating, but instead sinking.
I then come to a scary conclusion: I'm sinking in a body of water!
Every limb on my body then starts to kick into gear, as both of my arms and legs rapidly try to propel myself to the surface. "HOW THE HECK DID I FALL INTO THE OCEAN FROM MY BED?!"
But I don't want to think about that right now, as my head already feels lightheaded enough at the moment. I would do anything to go back to the black void. Even if it didn't make sense, it would most certainly be better than drowning in the sea.
In what feels like forever, I finally break the surface of the water open. The first thing I do is open my mouth so wide, that it feels like I just unhinged my jaw.
Man, I've been using the word "feel" a lot.
I then start to cough out the water that slipped into my body, and start to grab some more air. As my vision starts to reappear, I realize that I'm not only in the ocean, but from the looks of it, the middle of it.
But something else also returns: The pain. Ohhhh, the pain. What felt at first like stepping on a thorn now felt like I'd FALLEN into a thorn...BUSH.
Hmm, also been using "felt" a lot, too.
It was unbearable, and the fact that I was treading water at the same time made it even worse.
I wanted to stop, but I knew that if I did, I'd stink to the bottom for sure.
I didn't know what was better. To try to stay afloat, or just let fate decide the outcome. I didn't know what to do. I never thought that death would sound so good, yet here I am.
I was still thinking about the two choices when I felt something below me.
I panicked. I thought it was a mouth of some sort. But before I could decide what mouth it could be, I suddenly felt as if it was pushing me up.
No longer did I feel like I was floating, but now I felt as if I was laying down on something hard, very hard.
"I hate water." I heard something say.
It had a dark and rough tone to it, and though it sounded mad, it didn't sound like it would want to hurt me.
"Well we had to do something about him, look at him. Poor thing. We couldn't just leave him out there." Another voice called. Unlike the first one, this one sounded like as if he, or she for that matter, was singing. It was soft, calming, but most importantly, it sounded beautiful.
"Should I use Thunderbolt?" A third stated. It sounded alive and full of energy that you-
Wait, did he say Thunderbolt?!
Right as I finish that thought, I feel a jolt of electricity enter and quickly make its way up to my head.
"Gahh!" I yelp. It didn't feel bad, but I didn't need to feel it in the first place.
After the bolt leaves, I feel a little more awake, but, pun not intended, also shocked.
"Maybe that was a little too much." The third voice called again.
"Well, at least he isn't dead." The first voice said.
I go to see who shocked me when I feel something land on my head. Before I know it, I'm staring into two white eyes. My eyes soon race around to see the rest of the...thing that jumped on me. It had a yellow face with yellow and black ears, and had two little pink spots right below its eyes. It doesn't take long to realize that not only is it a Pichu, but it just spoke to me in English.
That can't be right. Shouldn't it have said "Pichu" or something along those lines? My head then remembers back to the black void, where I saw that my body was white, black, and red.
I can't...no, I can't be...but I am!
I'M A POKEMON!?
