In the town of Piedmont California Dipper and Mabel were fast asleep in their shared bedroom. In about a week the school year would be over and the twins would be on the bus ready to begin their second summer in Gravity Falls. Mabel walked over to Dipper's bed and began tickling his feet. AH HA HA HA HA HA HA, MABEL, STOP TICKLING ME! shouted Dipper. It's time to get up Dipping sauce said Mabel. Dipper looked at the clock and saw that it read 6:00. Mabel I shouldn't have to get up this early on a Saturday he said. But today is the final game of the season said Mabel. Dipper knew what she was talking about. After returning to Piedmont Dipper signed up for baseball and he absolutely destroyed tryouts. Throughout the season Dipper was the best player on the team and scored a home run every time he went up to bat. Because of his dominance he was no longer teased for his birthmark and was now one of the most popular students in the school. The Piedmont team he was playing for was going to be playing Berkeley. The team that wins the game will win the championship. If i'm going to keep my home run streak alive I need to save my energy he said. He went back under the covers. I should probably mention that Tambry is going to be watching in person said Mabel. Dipper immediately bolted up. He and Tambry had started dating shortly before he and Mabel left Gravity Falls and the two face timed each other and had virtual dates three times a week. They kept getting to know each other and Dipper decided that she was way better than Wendy. He truly loved Tambry. He could not believe that she was coming to Piedmont to watch his middle school baseball game. Not wanting to make a fool of himself Dipper dashed to the bathroom to get changed. Boys said Mabel.

For most of the day Dipper was getting some last minute training in as he wanted to win this game bad. He was looking at replay's of Berkeley's previous games to see how this was going to play out. After an early dinner the family was in the car on the way to the diamond. Today's the day we finally meet this girlfriend of yours said Alex. (A/N Alex is the father of the Pines Twins) My baby boy is growing up so fast said Samantha. (A/N Samantha is the mother.) Why must you all constantly bother me about it? asked Dipper. I knew before we went to that place you would find love said Mabel. That's my little brother right there. Yeah, by five minutes said Dipper.

2 Hours later

Dipper was standing on the baseball field with all of the other players. He looked in the stands and saw Tambry blowing kisses at him. Dipper was now hoping for the best. Soon everyone in the stadium had their hands over their hearts as the mayor of Piedmont played the national anthem on the violin. Then the game began.

During the game Dipper kept getting home runs but the other team was still putting up a fight and keeping up. Going into the bottom of the ninth inning the teams were tied with 19 runs apiece. Piedmont was up to bat and all they needed was one more run to win the game. It was no surprise they sent out Dipper to guarantee the victory. He stepped onto the plate positive he was going to score the winning run. BATTER UP! yelled the umpire. The pitcher threw the ball and Dipper swung the bat and managed to hit it. He dropped the bat and began running. Halfway to first base he felt something hard hit him in the back of the head. He fell forward and landed on his face which ended up knocking him out.

HE'S STILL BARELY BREATHING, GET HIM ON THE HELICOPTER!

MAJOR HEAD TRAUMA, LOT'S OF INTERNAL BLEEDING!

WE HAVE TO CUT IT OPEN AND REMOVE THE LEAKY BLOOD!

NO, MY BOYFRIEND IS TOO YOUNG TO DIE!

Dipper slowly opened his eyes. His eyelids were hurting and his head was throbbing. He looked down and saw that he was wearing a hospital gown. He realized he was in the hospital after what just happened. Tambry then walked into the room and sat down beside him. Hey Dipper, how you feeling? I feel like I just got hit with a hammer said Dipper. What just happened? A drunk guy in the stands threw a rock and it hit you in the back of the head said Tambry. You then fell flat on your face and started bleeding out. You were rushed to the hospital in a helicopter and your parents were scared to death. Mabel was throwing a tantrum and Waddles had to cuddle with her to calm her down. After you were diagnosed with a major concussion and went into surgery Mabel began digging a hole in the backyard feeling positive you were going to die. She wanted to give you a proper burial. She was still crying after the doctor said you would live. You've been unconscious for three days. It feels like it's only been a couple of seconds said Dipper. Tambry then showed what Dipper's face looked like in a mirror. His face was swollen and had several stitches. His drowsy eyes that were barely staying open were completely bloodshot red. If it makes you feel any better the ball went over the fence in fair territory making it a home run said Tambry. You won the championship. I guess that's good said Dipper. There is something you should probably be aware of said Tambry. I've been wanting us to be together ever since I first laid my eyes on you. Wendy kept telling me stories of all the adventures you went on and I thought you were so brave. She also told me about your crush on her and I was getting extremely jealous. Before you went into the bunker she was originally just going to tell you that she wasn't saying no but she did need time to think about it. Then I told her I really wanted to be with you and she wanted to help me. She lied and said she was too old for you so you would probably lose interest and find something in me. Even though you were open I was still too scared to say anything. The love potion never worked on me. Deep down I knew Robbie had a heart and I wanted to make him feel happy again. I pretended to be in love with him to get him back on his feet. Then I let him down easy and he took it well. He now does volunteer work with no pay at a homeless shelter. I finally had it in me to confess to you while we were in that bathroom and i'm glad you accepted. I was so worried when you got hurt as you are one of my greatest treasures. Tambry, i've thought about it for a long time and decided that you are worth way more than Wendy said Dipper. I'm just upset that because of all the school work I couldn't do i'll have to take summer school and not be able to come back to Gravity Falls and see you again. The principle said that he's making an exception and you can make up for it by doing some form of volunteer work after you've made a full recovery said Tambry. Maybe you can follow in Robbie's footsteps and help the homeless. I think that might work said Dipper. The main point that i'm trying to make here is that I love you and I don't want to lose you said Tambry. I couldn't imagine a world without you either said Dipper. The two then kissed each other on the lips. Dipper then fully closed his eyes and fell asleep with a smile on his face.

Author's note: I may not have not gotten the concussion part completely correct but i'm pretty sure some serious injuries that knock you out may only feel like a few seconds. I have a history of thinking i've had short surgeries that lasted hours so I might know what i'm talking about.
