Chapter 1: The Happening
A/N: As promised, here's the Sosuke Aizen fic. Sorry if it seems rushed, it is...and I made it a reader insert because I couldn't come up with an actual name on the spot. I don't know how many chapters this will be, only that it probably won't succeed ten. This is because I already have five other ongoing fics and I don't need another one being unfinished. Hope you all enjoy it!

The exhaustion...it was almost too much. A lot went on today.
You can't believe how much relief you get from collapsing into the couch after the long day you've had to endure. The couch is only providing your overworked muscle a moment of alleviation but the feeling isn't taken for granted for a second. After four long, debilitating years, you're officially a college graduate. It was finally over.
It was a long time coming. No more sleepless nights, no more emotional breakdowns, no more turning in assignments at parties before the deadline was up. Good fucking riddance to all of it.
The ceremony was exactly as you imagined, unnecessarily drawn out, your anxiety steady climbing through the roof, and your loud ass family screaming from the stands. Your mother was even extra enough to bring a giant poster with your smiling face on it. It didn't embarrass you though, in fact it meant the whole to you to have that much support from them. To celebrate your accomplishments with the people you love the most. It meant everything.
Your parents rightly threw a barbecue party at their house with all of your family and friends in celebration. Honestly, it was just like when you graduated high school. It's well known that your family throws the best parties and some people in town have been known to drop by when they got wind of it taking place. Your dad was already drunk before the graduation but he adamantly refused to let anyone else handle the grill. For the entire day, you were bombarded with pictures and hugs and it left you tired as hell. By the time it was all over, You'd probably end the night in bed reading the many congratulatory cards you'd received from everyone after eating that humongous slice of cake on a paper plate on your kitchen counter from your graduation cake.
Although your mother wanted you to spend the night at their house, you told her that you'd rather go home to clean up your apartment that you left in a mess earlier in the day. A few of your cousins were supposed to come over tomorrow since they would be in town for the rest of the weekend and you wanted your place to be spotless. There's random items lying around various areas of your apartment and bedroom and you groaned at the thought of having to leave the sofa. Regardless, you pull yourself from the comfort of the cushions and set about cleaning. Fatigue pulls at your limbs throughout the entire process and you think you might fall over soon. This encourages you to move faster. With every item placed back in its original place, all of the trash is gathered in a small plastic bag and you take it outside to throw into the garbage bin.
The outside air feels nice for it to be so late at night. The plenty of stars are illuminating the night sky and it looks so mesmerizing. As you lift the lid and place the bag within, a strange feeling comes over you. Then in the darkness, you see it - a huge oval shaped void opening to reveal a body. It's a man just...not a normal looking one. He's scarily thin. With shaggy black hair and abnormal green eyes that looked like they glowed. There's also green streaks descending from his eyes giving the appearance of him crying. He remained you of a sad clown.
"You are _ correct?" The man asks, his voice a dead monotone portraying no emotion whatsoever.
Frankly, you're too shocked to answer and you just stand there with your mouth open. You're much too concerned with how he just appeared out of a black hole like something out of a sci-fi film. You need more time to process what's going on.
He's not moved by the surprise on your face. "I've been charged with retrieving you for my lord. Come along now." He drones tonelessly.
"Wha-what?" You stumble for words.
The hell was he talking about? His lord? Did he mean like Jesus? You didn't think you'd be called home so soon but your mother always said he had a plan for everyone.
The man takes a step towards you. "Come, we mustn't keep him waiting."
"No...wait a minute…" You start, taking a quick step back. A cold hand wraps around your wrist before you can properly react and you're pulled into the void with minimal effort.
The void is dark and seemingly endless. Like an alternative dimension. It's otherworldly. You don't understand what's happening before a horrifying realization comes over you all at once.
Have you just been kidnapped?
The atmosphere around you feels like...nothing. No cold air. The black abyss is so empty it feels like you're floating into nothing. The brief confusion mounts when blinding light appears on the other side of the void. At the risk of losing your eyesight, you clamp them shut and brace yourself.
When it all settles and your feet are touching a floor and a steely calmness engulfs the whole of you. The strange place was huge and empty. Unlike anything you'd ever seen before. All you could see was the color white. White everywhere. The walls, the floors. It was nearly blinding. At this juncture, you can tell that you're nowhere near your apartment anymore.
"What is this place? Where did you take me?" You whisper out of sheer confusion.
Although you're much too calm, getting answers to the questions is the only thing preventing you from having a full on anxiety attack.
The man doesn't spare you a glance. "We are in Las Noches."
"Las what? I don't know what that is."
A beat of silence passes.
"A palace where hollows and arrancars reside."
Oh no. You didn't want any part of this other world shit. Arrancars and hollows? What the hell? "No...no. Take me back. I don't want to be here." You insist.
The silted green eyes pierce yours. "It matters not what you want. I have been ordered to bring you to Aizen." He counters.
"I don't give a damn what you were ordered to do! I told you to take me back home!" You angrily shout.
With no regard for your outburst or feelings, the man takes a painful hold of your wrist, icy fingers digging into the bone there. In retaliation, your opposite hand comes up to slap him hard across the cheek. Pain radiates throughout your hand but anger keeps you from showing it on your face. His skin is as hard as concrete and you don't even want to think about why that is.
The pale man is unamused, merely staring down at you with the same impassive countenance. He lets you know that he's more than aware of your agony. "Let that be a lesson for the future."
The statement makes your jaw clench, the muscles there strained and tense.
"Simply complying is your best and only option." He continues.
You thought about letting 'Pennywise the Asshole Clown' lead you through the place but you would not make it easy for your captor to gain the upper hand anymore than he already had. Your attempts at prying your sore wrist out of his grasp were of course unsuccessful. He was gripping the bone so hard that your entire hand was starting to ache. Adding insult to injury, he was practically dragging you to the point where you were tripping over your own feet trying to keep up with him.
"You don't have to drag me! I can walk!" You shouted, trying to yank your wrist out of his grasp.
He didn't bother addressing you this time, only continuing his pace with an uninterested countenance. He didn't seem too concerning with your protests and resistance until he merely paused in the middle of his stride. You think he's going to reprimand you until a great rush of air whooshes by you and you've never been so confused in your life. It's the strangest feeling and realize that you're in a different area now. Your stomach drops. This is the second time he's done that and you still don't understand the physics behind it. The action just happens too fast for you to comprehend - too quick for your eyes to catch.
The both of you are standing in front of tall double doors with what you assume to be guards outside of them, as both are tall and wearing helmets that don't resemble any kind of animal that you know of. The thought of what lies behind the doors had your stomach in knots.
"He awaits beyond these doors."
When you turn to look at your abductor it shocks you to find that he's merely waiting for you to make a move, stand as still as a statue. If you had to guess, he was probably expecting you to try and use the opportunity to escape. A smart decision on his part really - had he left, you'd be booking it through the hallways in an attempt to find the fastest route out of here.
You nervously inch towards the doors to which the previously unmoving guards slowly allow you to enter. The sight makes your breath catch. There's not just one person waiting, the room is packed with people who turn in your direction the moment you come into view. It's a throne room. Someone is up there, sitting high on a throne. Looking down on everyone much like a king would.
The massive room is occupied with a wide range of shady looking individuals, men and women alike. Some wore looks of confusion, slightly contempt, and disinterest. You honestly don't know what to make of it. And the atmosphere...it's almost grim.
"Welcome." The deep voice reverberates throughout the room. "Well done Ulquiorra."
The pale man bows. "Thank you sir."
So that's Mr. Clown's name.
When you hear your name, your head snaps back up towards the platform. From the angle, you're unable to make out a solid face, just gauge the customary white uniform that everyone here seems to favor.
"My dear Espada, Arrancar, and Fraccion alike...I'd like you all to meet our newest addition. She is a crucial piece in our plans."
Newest addition? Crucial piece? You don't know this man or his lackeys from a can of paint, so whatever plan's he's referring to is beyond you entirely. As far as you were concerned, it was a definite conflict of interest.
At this point, all eyes have turned to you and you want to curl in on yourself. Anxiety has you abhorring being the center of attention.
By now, most of them have started exchanging confused looks amongst each other and you wanted to crawl in a hole. All this unnecessary attention is driving you. Now you've been in some awkward situations before but none quite like this. They all wore different variations of white attire. You felt so out of place with your spring appropriate dress covered in flowers and wedges. This didn't scare you, what scared you was the fact that not a single one of them looked...normal. You must be in the fucking twilight zone. The place is a circus.
What the hell had you stepped into?
"You are all dismissed." He commanded evenly, like a king demanding his subjects to leave. It was definitely hard not to draw parallels with him bidding them to do something and they actually do it. At the voice's decree, the people immediately began filing out in a quiet orderly fashion, some not even bothering to spare you another glance while some eyes lingered until they were complete out of the doors. There was one girl in particular, that managed to catch your attention. She was slim with long black hair in pigtails and a single visible pink eye. The way she regarded you...it was something akin to hateful. Maybe you're just exaggerating. The two of you don't know each other so there's no way.
Before long, the room is completely empty save for you and whoever's on the towering throne platform. The room is engulfed in an unnatural silence and it makes you shift uncomfortably on your feet. You're just staring up at the platform waiting. Someone had to make the first move and it wouldn't be you, not until you figured out what you were dealing with.
The man stands elegantly from his seat and you jump when he suddenly teleports in front of you. At first you were sure, but now you know your eyes weren't playing tricks on you. These people possessed supernatural qualities to them. As no normal human could manage feats such as this.
So he's the lord the pale faced clown was talking about - the one who ordered him to take you. He most certainly didn't look like an 'Aizen' but what was an Aizen supposed to look like?
He had soft brown eyes and a single lock of wavy brown hair while the rest was slicked back hanging loosely in his face. He had long eyelashes that could just about make any woman seethe with jealousy. He's a gorgeous man, that you can't deny if you wanted to. But you're not fooled, not for a second. You've seen handsome men hide the very devil behind their beautiful eyes. It's a blessing that you can't be bewitched by the looks of a man to the point where you ignore his misdeeds. Particularly, if those misdeeds include having you snatched from your place of residence in the dead of the night.
You stiffened at the closeness.
"It's a pleasure to finally meet you. I'm Sosuke Aizen, pleased to finally make your acquaintance." His baritone was deep and even, full of refined sophistication. He gently takes your hand, bringing it up to his smirking mouth and places a soft kiss there. The feel of his lips sent unwanted tingles throughout her frames.
Game recognizes game. You know he's trying to charm you. You'd grown up around your brother and his plethora of his friends. You can tell when a game is trying to run game on you. The image of him being a pleasant man clashes with his actions however, he literally sent one of his lackies to kidnap you. That's cause for major concern. Nice jawline or not, you refuse to fall for any of this. Not a chance in hell.
He's charming, you'll give him that but it doesn't negate the situation that you've been forced into. It isn't okay. Nothing about this is okay. This man is unhinged. Dangerous. A well mannered anomaly with an almost grandiose demeanor and politeness that's certainly off-putting. He possessed the sort of swagger and confidence that came with power and status.
Your pulse spiked. "I wish I could say the same."
He chuckled at your honesty.
You're too forward to beat around the bush dealing with something of this magnitude. "What is this place? I want to go home."
"Perhaps we should carry on this conversation in a more private setting." He offers his hand out to you and you thought about slapping it away. You likely wouldn't get any answers being difficult - it's probably best to just appease him for the moment. Having weighed your options, you hesitantly placed your hands within his and his captivating smile deepened - without it his face would probably be unreadable.
Within a couple of minutes of walking, he guides you to a room that could only be described as a private dining area. The table is already set and primed with plates of food. An appetizing looking dinner of baked chicken, pasta, and asparagus is prepared and waiting on the long table. While on the other end of the table, sat a single glass and bottle of wine.
A fucking dinner spread? Really? Were you supposed to feel flattered by this?
The food looked incredible and smelled even better but you know the real intention is behind it.
You scrunched your lips together in aggravation, it didn't take a rocket scientist to indicate how unamused you were with this whole thing. A hand places itself at your lower back, subtly urging you towards a chair where you reluctantly sat. 'Aizen' was even gentleman enough to scoot your chair up closer towards the table before he moved to take his own seat. In no time, you both are sitting across from one another in resonant silence. Him smiling and you trying to resist the urge to flip the entire table over.
You pinched the skin on the bridge of your nose. This was the type of shit reserved for white people. You're too fucking black for this. Under no circumstances will your guard be let down - it's too suspicious for that and you're already placed in a vulnerable position.
From the other end of the table, he stared into your apprehensive eyes. "That meal is one of your many favorites. I had it specifically made for you, you must be famished."
That's another issue. This man speaks about you as if he already knows you. He had no way of knowing that unless - no. That would make for a completely different matter altogether.
You made a point to ignore his gaze altogether as you found maintaining direct eye contact with him impossible. You can't stand to look at his smiling visage for a second longer. "I'm not all that hungry right now."
"Are you well? You seem...tense."
Yeah, no shit.
Him attempting to establish polite conversation is in fact having the opposite effect on you. He acted as though your feelings were inconsequential regarding the situation at hand. There's clearly something off about him, something you're not privy to just yet.
"Well, being abducted obviously isn't what I had on the agenda for today." You responded sarcastically, tossing a napkin to the side. "Where am I?"
"We are in Las Noches."
You wasted no time rudely cutting him off. "Yeah, he said that already. I was talking about this…" You gesture wildly to the space around you. "This place. This dimension."
He chuckles at your bluntness, expression remaining alarmingly kind. "It's called Hueco Mundo. And currently it resides between the Soul Society and the World of the Living."
Immediately, your eyebrows furrow. "What's a Soul Society?"
"I'm afraid it's much too complicated to get into right now. I'll have to explain it some time later. Now unto a more pleasing subject. I know you've celebrated your graduation today and procured your degree in Nursing." He barely missed your neck snapping back in disbelief as he pulled something out from his ropes. "I want to offer a congratulatory gift." The gift is a small pink with a white bow wrapped around it. As it is, you're already reluctant to accept anything from him, be it food or anything else.
You recognized the accessory right away. The gift is a gorgeous hairpin from a fancy boutique shop you've been secretly coveting for months. And this unknown man had gifted it to you. With how you were currently feeling about him, you didn't know if you could manage to give him a 'Thank you.'
You've never been good at hiding how you really feel, unfortunately your face will give you away every time. You tend to thrive off your own emotion rather than the emotions of others, how you feel can impact your entire experience. And you're feeling a lot at the present.
Instead you bristled. "Please don't think that giving me this will make what you did okay. It's not." You plainly stated, settling the box aside.
His smiling visage does not change one bit.
"Let's not play games here. I just graduated from school and celebrated with my family today. Then I get brought here against my will. I don't understand what the fuck is happening right now. So please...tell me."
Not surprisingly, he chooses to deflect. "Is the gift not to your liking? I'm aware that you've saved up for a while to be able to purchase it."
God, you hate that. "Can you not?"
A sculpted brow lifts. "I'm sorry?"
"You keep bringing up all these random things you know about me. Don't do that, it's unnerving."
The man's voice is so soothing it nearly puts you at ease...almost. If you and him had met under different circumstances, you might've thought he was a good guy. "Oh? I sincerely apologize if I've offended you. While I did watch you for quite some time, I made sure to bid my time respectfully until you were ready." He didn't pause when he observed how your face shifted into object horror. "I waited until you graduated college and achieved the goal you've always wanted."
Your eyes narrowed a fraction. "How long...how long have you been watching?"
"Approximately three years. Though I'll admit that admiring you from afar has been...a process."
The confession has you feeling sick to your stomach. You feel totally violated - like every last one of your moral boundaries had been crossed. At your current age of twenty-two, that put you around nineteen years of age when he started. The fact that he can openly admit that he's been observing you like a lab rat or a guinea pig - you don't appreciate it. It's creepy as hell. "Why would you do that?" You questioned, your voice trembling.
"Truthfully, I've wanted to meet you for the duration of those three years because I've chosen you to become my Queen. I've deemed you to be the perfect candidate."
The earth felt as though it had shifted beneath your very feet. You weren't at all prepared for a response such as that or the implications it carried. The audacity of him to speak about you like you're some kind of science project that he's been working on. That bothers you immensely. "What?!"
"Are you...is this a marriage proposal?"
"Is that what you'd like it to be?"
The question almost made you fall out of the chair. The only thing you've taken from the entire exchange is that he's a stalker and a kidnapper.
"This might come as a shock to you and I can see why you would have difficulty understanding."
The things he was saying were disturbing and yet he didn't see it that way. The worst part about it all was that he seemed pretty damn sincere about everything. What about you had sparked this man's interest enough for him to have you forcibly brought here?
You shook your head in disbelief. "Why me? You could've set your sights on anyone. What makes me the perfect candidate to be your...Queen?"
Aizen took a minute to answer, noting the desperation in your features. "The truth is much more complicated than it should be. So much so, that I believe it should be discussed at a later time."
Could he really mean what he says? You haven't spent enough time in his presence to gauge what his true intentions and truth be told, you don't plan to. His motives are shrouded in mystery and it doesn't seem like that'll change anytime soon. Truthfully, there shouldn't be anything for you to have to decode or find out. This is why men like him never fail to terrify you because what's the logical reasoning behind this? As a woman, being kidnapped is high on the list of fears in the event that it will eventually happen.
No. Hell no. He owed you an explanation.
You had to take a calming breath. "Let me get this straight...you had a guy come and kidnap me because you like me and you want me to be with you? Have I summed this up right?"
"Albeit a bit harshly."
"But I've got it right."
"I realize now that my methods for bringing you here can be classified as draconian in nature. I apologize for that. I wasn't aware of the effect it might have on you."
You laughed breathlessly although there was no humor present in the room. "Do you know how all of this sounds to me? How unprecedented? Listen, whatever this is I don't want any parts of it. I don't know you. You have to tell your friend to take me back."
"I'm afraid that can't happen."
Upon hearing that, a lump began to form in your throat. "...what do you mean by that?"
He can't expect you to just be complacent with all this. He just can't. This isn't a fucking Lifetime movie. It's so very frustrating being put in a position where you can't do anything to change it.
"Now I can see how this might be a bit of a shock for you...but there is no need to worry. Here you will be protected and well cared for."
Without warning your breathing has hitched, heart pounding a lot faster. "Who said I was staying here?"
Everything about this feels unnatural, sudden. You can't shake the uneasiness associated with the entire situation no matter how hard you tried. He's so soft spoken and well put together. He doesn't give off a particular malicious vibe that would normally make you alarmed straight away. Despite that, it doesn't change the fact that he's still frightening.
You're still expecting to wake up from being sprawled out on your living room couch. "I'm in a dream. I have to be...there's no way this is happening."
If you didn't slow your erratic breathing, you'd be a serious risk of having an asthma attack on the spot. It's even more dire when you realize that you don't have your inhaler with you. His lips were still moving but you couldn't hear a single word come out of them save for your own heartbeat. "I've gotta be losing my mind." You mutter to yourself in an effort to compose your frayed nerves.
Soon his smooth voice fades back into your subconscious. "...are you alright?"
So far you've gone through several different emotions in five minutes and it just keeps getting worse. If it wasn't evident before, you were feeling very trapped. And everyone in this place being so calm and acting as if nothing was wrong was pissing you off even more.
"No I'm not okay. I'm about to have a panic attack. I'm trapped in this place, I don't know how to leave. How am I supposed to react to that?" You whispered, clenching you trembling hands together.
You find that he's positioned himself to kneel in front of you, one of your hands in his. The fingertips against your skin are giving you more pausing than you thought it should, encouraging unwanted goosebumps to appear.
"Please, calm down. I have no intention of harming you. I crave your loyalty, admiration, and eventually...your love."
Your body's posture tensed at that last word. Love? He wanted you to love him? You could never.
It was at this moment that you saw it - the way those brown were trained on you with hunger burning twice over in them. He looked as though he wanted to devour you on the spot. You'd seen it before - the look of a man who desired a woman. If meant to hide it, he was doing a poor job of doing so. Though you were confident that he was deliberately allowing you to see. The thought made you flush uncomfortably.
You shake your head. "People usually get to know each other before they just...you know. Label it as something."
The seemingly never ending smirk deepens. "While it's true that we've never formally met, we have in fact come into close contact with one another before."
A tilt of your head revealed just how confused you were at the declaration. If there were ever a time where you'd been around him surely you'd remember. Shifting through your memory bank had produced nothing and you were confident that he was lying. You never forget a face no matter how long it's been.
"Of course not. I'm well aware that it will take some time and effort to gain your trust and admiration. I only ask that you be willing throughout."
"And if it doesn't turn out the way you like?"
His intoxicating brown orbs were inviting and pensive as they fixed on you. You knew then and there that this man had to be insane. He had to be - the probability of it being true was significant, plus it's the only logical explanation at this point.
"I'm not the least bit worried. I am after all, a very patient man." His tone remains warm and genial. "Would you be willing to give me a chance? I promise to cater to your every need and provide you everything that you desire."
The words didn't even register in your mind. You were much too concerned with more important things.
Like how the fuck were you supposed to get home? Best case scenario, you'll just have to convince someone to take you back. Otherwise…
No. You refuse to think like that. You'd get back to your family eventually. You just had to play along for now. At least until you can figure something else out.
"...okay."
