New York City... It's considered one of the greatest cities in the world. It's got large buildings, thousands of people, and so much more. It's known as the city that never sleeps. However, there's one thing that people don't think too much about that goes on in the city. That would be...

"Boom"

The crimes. Some explosions were going off in a building. Everyone was running for their lives and trying to get out of there. There always seems to be trouble in this city, but there are those that try to put a stop to it. As a flying figure flew near the building, he flew through the smoke and flames, going straight for the heart of this calamity. This figure is known by all as one person.

"It's Dragon-Man!" Natsu Dragneel is the protector of this city, but everyone knows him as Dragon-Man. He flew around the building and smashed right through a window and entered the part of the building that was burning.

"Woo! Someone has a party going on!" Natsu said as he folded his wings back in and moved as fast as he could. Natsu has been Dragon-Man ever since he was in high school. He graduated about four years ago. Ever since, he took it upon himself to protect the city.

"Dragon-Man! Over here!" He saw someone calling out to him. Natsu hurried over and tried to protect the guy from the flames.

"What happened?" Natsu asked. "How did all of this happen?"

"Someone just walked in here. I don't know how he did it, but he somehow caused the whole building to start exploding. He somehow causes explosions with whatever he touches."

"Are there any people trapped inside?" Natsu asked.

"A few."

"Go! Get out of here! I'll take care of it!" Natsu said as he ushered the guy out of the building. Natsu stayed behind to deal with this situation. Natsu might not know who is causing these explosions, but he has a theory as to who gave this man that dangerous power.

"Tartaros, you love to outdo yourself, don't you." Natsu said as he made his way through the building. Tartaros was a company that claims it "betters humanity", but Natsu knows the truth. It's a dangerous place responsible for many heinous acts in secret such as creating biological weapons and experimenting on people. Natsu took it upon himself to bring Tartaros down one day.

"Help! Help me!" Natsu heard a woman calling for help on the other side of flames. There was one good thing Tartaros did. His father worked with them back when he was alive. It was his research that helped create his powers. One of those powers was inhaling fire. Natsu took a deep breath and inhaled the fire. It cleared a path for him to get through and hurry to the woman that was calling for help.

"Where are you?!" Natsu called.

"Over here!" He looked around and spotted the woman, but her leg was caught under a beam. Natsu hurried over and grabbed a hold of it. He lifted it up and was able to throw it off.

"You okay? Can you walk?" Natsu said as he helped her up.

"Yes. Thank you so much." The woman said as she was running for her life.

"Let's see if I can find the firecracker that's causing this fire festival." Natsu said.

"You don't need to look that far, Dragon-Man. I'm up here." Natsu looked up and spotted the one he was looking for. He was met with a guy wearing a scarf over his bear chest with him wearing beige pants and boots. He had blonde hair, but what really stood out was that he had beast-like qualities. He had a yellow bushy tail with sharp teeth. "So, you're the famous Dragon-Man I keep hearing about?"

"Who are you? Firecracker? The Big Bang?" Natsu said.

"I don't really care for some stupid villain name like those other losers. Just call me Jackal."

"Okay. I'll call you Jackal, and others can call you from jail!" Natsu said. He unfolded his wings and flew up to the higher level. He gave Jackal a powerful uppercut when he flew up. He gave him a strong kick as well and knocked him back. "So, what's the big bad guy's big bad plan? Why attack this building?" He asked as he moved closer to him.

"No reason. It's simply fun!" Jackal said as he placed his hand on the ground and caused an explosion. The explosion knocked Natsu back as he slid against the floor.

"How did you do that?" Natsu said.

"That's my little secret. Time to go boom, boom, and more boom!" Jackal said as he caused another set of explosions to go off, the flames heading for him and causing some more damage to the building. Natsu used his brain and breathed fire. It caused a backfire, the two flames to cancel each other. When the flames cleared away, Jackal was already gone.

"You're not getting away that easily." Natsu said as he moved as fast as he could. He unfolded his wings and flew around the place to try and find Jackal. However, the building was burning and could come down at any moment. The place could come down at any moment.

"Help! Someone help us! We're trapped!"

"That doesn't sound good." Natsu said. He looked around and saw people trapped on the other side of a giant whole in the floor and it seemed like there was no way around. He looked around for anything that might help and got a crazy idea. He tried smashing himself against the wall a few times until it finally came lose. Natsu grabbed a hold of and carefully moved it and placed it to be used like a bridge with him trying to hold it up. "Hurry! It's not going to hold!" The people were cautious, but they also hurried across and made it to safety.

"Hahahaha!" Natsu heard Jackal's laughter and followed after it.

"Here kitty, kitty, kitty, or whatever the heck you are now!" Natsu called.

"What's the matter, hotshot?!" Jackal called and got Natsu to spot him. "Can't keep up?" He laughed at Natsu's bad luck as he made a run for it.

"Get back here!" Natsu called as he tried to follow after him, but he lost sight of him again. It was at that moment that he heard another explosion go off above him. He looked up and saw flaming debris about to fall on top of him. "Yikes!" Natsu moved out of the way, but he could see the place was about to fall apart. "Time to make an exit!" Natsu flew around as fast as he could until he saw a window. He smashed right through and made it out of the burning building. He watched as the building went up in flames and it seems that Jackal managed to escape. "I've got to wonder how Tartaros makes these freaks. Oh, wait. That's the pot calling the kettle black."

Tartaros Company

The one in charge was the CEO: Zeref Dragneel. Natsu's long lost older brother that he never really knew he had and has yet to meet. He watched live footage of Dragon-Man holding a strong interest in him.

"Dragon-Man... It's hard to believe that's actually my little brother." Zeref said. "What do you think, Mard Geer?" Mard Geer is a high figure in the company, especially since he was made Zeref's right-hand-man after the death of Absolute Zero four years ago.

"Ezekiel Dragneel caused some problems for us all those years ago. Now, his youngest son is causing problems." Mard Geer said. "However, in a stroke of fate or irony, we have you as the one who runs our company, the oldest of Ezekiel Dragneel."

"I suppose so." Zeref said. "It certainly is ironic in a poetic sense."

"I don't understand something. For years we tried to rid ourselves of Dragon-Man." Mard Geer said. "We know who he is. Why not act upon it?"

"We'll get our moment. All good things come to those who wait." Zeref said as he kept staring at his brother through a screen. Natsu may have been going against Tartaros for years, but Zeref has yet to truly act against him. What could Zeref's angle be? "Natsu... You may not know me, but we will meet soon. You either join me or you'll end up killed by me. Which will it be?"
