Interrogation Room (otherwise known as the room May and Dawn are sharing in the Lilycove Pokemon Center):

"Please enter."

A girl with an amused expression walked in and sat down on the singular chair in the room.

"Name?"

"Leaf Green."

"Occupation?"

"...Pokemon Trainer. Hey, May? Do we have to go through the entire procedure?"

The brunette with the red bandana paced back and forth as she fired questions at her old friend, who was currently fidgeting with her bowler hat - suspicious behavior that the Hoenn detective decided to make a note of. May suddenly stopped pacing and slammed her clipboard against the desk, "You know what? You're right. Let's skip to the question we all came here to ask...where were you when my liechi berry ice cream cone was stolen between the time of 3:45 and 3:55?"

"May, you know I didn't steal it."

The blue-eyed girl winked to the brown-eyed girl and whispered conspiratorially, "I know. But unfortunately this is standard procedure and I can't let even my closest friends off the culprits list scot-free."

Leaf sighed, "Okay. I was...getting lunch with a friend."

"Lunch? At 3:45? Are you out of your mind? That's insanely late." She took her friend's hand, worried. "Is it the stress of Worlds coming up soon? Because you know you can always, always talk to me about it."

Realizing she had gone slightly off-topic, May cleared her throat, "Ah, anyway, it seems like you are not the culprit. I'm relieved...because that means our plans for dinner are still on...although I don't know how much of an appetite you'll have before our reservation at 6:30."

Leaf smiled, "Thanks May. I'll uh - call in the next suspect."

May nodded solemnly.

Waiting Room (otherwise known as the room Drew and Gary are sharing in the Lilycove Pokemon Center):

"Hey guys?" Leaf called out as she knocked on the door.

"Leafie!" the girl was greeted by a cheerful Gary. In the back, Drew and Dawn were having a heated debate about appeals, with Ash chiming in every now and then. Paul appeared to be napping, hoodie zipped up to his nose. She looked at Gary, "Looks like you're up next."

Gary nodded, his smile suddenly disappearing. "Listen, Leaf. If I don't make it out of that room alive… Please tell Daisy that I didn't die just because I wanted to avoid having dinner with her and her boyfriend. Also, I bequeath everything I own to you."

She laughed, elbowing him, "Come on, Gar ... We both know it couldn't have been you. Also I doubt Daisy would buy that."

He suddenly made puppy eyes, "Will you go with me, then? She loves you and well...you know how I feel about you already."

She laughed, cheeks suddenly tinged with color, "Of course. Now go."

He smiled cockily, and yet at the same time his eyes betrayed child-like joy and excitement, "It's a date then. All right, I'm off."

Whistling, he headed into the interrogation room.
