Ontario, Canada: Horseshoe Falls

"Cairo, you here son?" A woman with a warm ivory skin tone that looked to be in her low to mid-30s, about 5'6 with a beret and long hair, silver eyes and black hair along with a scarf and vacation clothes looked around the large waterfall, hoping to find her son. She looked in many directions before seeing someone walk up and hug her from behind. She looked behind her and saw her husband ever since he got her pregnant in high school. He had an almond skin tone with blue eyes, a buzz cut, beard and looked to be 6 '2 along with a shirt that had the late rapper Tupac's face on it.

"He'll show up, Melody. You know how much he loves waterfalls and the outdoors. He got it from both of us." The woman, who was now identified as Melody smiled softly and looked at her husband before giving him a peck on the lips, saying, "I know Dashawn, but I'm still shocked he somehow got into the show. I didn't realize that he applied, much less got in while we are on vacation." Dashawn looked at the falls and looked down at the water splashing before saying, "He did it for us. We knew he didn't really care, but he decided to go for us and actually get out there. He's already got a head start on maturing even faster than we did, and we ended up having him around his age. Now he's ready to improve even faster, and I'm all for it, he is my son after all. His gang actually played a much bigger role though, as I assume they helped him do it." Melody sighed and shook her head in disappointment. "I imagine Jonesy was all for it, considering it was a way to get someone more famous. Jude would be cool about it, same with Wyatt. Jen would congratulate him, and Nicki would berate him." Dashawn laughed as they saw someone walk towards them. It was a teen with black hair, natural skin, and a silver eye that wasn't covered by his hair as he looked to be about 5'10 was walking towards them. He had a black sweater with a Steve Nash design, black jeans and Timberland boots (These don't add to his actual height He is 5'10, but with the Timbs, picture him at 6 ft). The two parents smiled at the teen as he looked at them, and his lips twitched upwards at the sight of the two people who he loved the most in this world.

"Hey son, you feel more relaxed?" Dashawn asked as the teen nodded and hugged his two parents, not needing a word to show his love for them as the trio began to walk, Melody holding her stomach as she was having a second child soon.

"She's kicking, she'll be out by the time you finish the first season Cairo."

"I'm glad we are having a daughter this time, maybe now if she gets a boyfriend, I can beat him the fuck up." Dashawn said as he didn't mind swearing in front of Cairo, since they had always sworn in front of him and he almost never swears unless he gets too angry.

"Not if I get to him first…" The two young parents looked towards their son and smiled, as he almost never talked unless he was directly asked a question. He only spoke freely around them and his friend group. Dashawn clapped his son on the shoulder while Melody stood next to them and said in French, "Tu es entré dans la série, mon fils. Je suis fier que tu sois arrivé jusqu'ici." ("You got into the show, my son. I'm proud you got this far.")

Cairo's eyes widened as he responded in French with, "Attends, vraiment? J'ai été choqué." ("Wait, really? I'm shocked.")

"Yeah son, you got in. Good shit." Dashawn said as he understood French, but decided not to speak it as he was still an amateur while his son and his wife were teaching him more and more as time went on since his son was taught it from a young age.

"Yeah… I guess it is…" He looked over to his parents and smiled, to which they hugged him and they watched the waterfall together.

9 DAYS LATER

Cairo walked straight towards a mall, passing by a large sign with the name of the mall plastered on it for all to see.

"The Galleria Mall… Home Sweet Home." Cairo said to himself quietly as he looked around the entrance to the mall and saw the usual people hanging around, such as the Ron the Rent-A-Cop for his outside shift as well as Wayne from Underground Video and the clones from the Khaki Barn. He walked inside but nodded to Ron on the way, who proceeded to nod back as Cairo was the only teen the Rent-A-Cop could really tolerate due to his quiet nature. He walked in before seeing the inside of the mall and letting out a breath he didn't know he was holding, as it always stumped him just how big this mall really was. He saw the Big Squeeze and the original spot his friends sat at, before sitting down and putting his head down. He hadn't seen his friends since he left for his vacation 14 days ago and now was going to leave again soon. He always thought Jonesy or Jude or even Nicki were more cut out for the show, but they made his application and he somehow got in.

He laid his head down as more and more people poured into the mall, all traveling in different directions as some stayed by the fountain and hung out in the food court while others moved towards the stores, whether it was to hang out or to begin work. He felt movement coming towards him as he opened his uncovered eye and saw that the lemon was open and a girl with brown hair, light purple eyes and purple lipstick put a lemon on her head before looking at him. She smiled and said, "Hey, Cairo. Nice to see you're back from vacation. You have any fun?" She heard nothing for a good time before she heard a light response from him. "Yeah, it was fun, Jen. My mom and dad send their regards." He looked up as she gave him a thumbs up before they both received calls on their phones. Jen picked hers up and put it on speaker for Cairo to hear as voices came out of the other end.

"Yo Jen, me and Jude will be there in a few. He passed gas on the way there and locked himself in his bathroom. Really disgusting." The first voice said as Jen shivered and said back, "Jonesy, you didn't have to add that last part. What about you Nicki and Wyatt?"

"I'll be there, just need to get my guitar and pick up my coffee from Grind-Me."

"I'm almost there. My dad just needed to get the car ready to bring me. He took way too long?" Both responded as Jonesy asked, "Yo Jen, is Cairo back from vacation? I need to know if he got on the show or not, my reputation as a hype man depends on it."

"Cairo's here, actually. I don't know if he got on the show or not but he looks the same as he always does." Jen said to the group as Nicki asked, "Ou, did he ask his dad about the Travel Writer tips for me?" Cairo nodded with a little smirk as Jen saw and said, "Yeah, he did. Make sure you actually take it to heart this time instead of putting it off like before."

Cairo stood up and said with a low voice, "I'm banking on you to get into the Mall's travel agency, Nicki… Don't disappoint me." He turned to go to the bathroom as Jonesy asked, "Wait Cairo, did you get in?" Jen saw his face as he said softly, "I'll say later." She smirked as he walked to the bathroom, as she was the only one to see the wide smile that was on his face.

"Damn it, sometimes I hate how he won't say stuff up front. Doesn't he know we worked so hard for this?" Jonesy said as Wyatt replied with, "I'm sure he's doing it for dramatic effect. You know him, he doesn't fall for fake emotions." Nicki and Jen laughed at Jonesy's dilemma as they all heard a toilet flush in the background before the sound of a door opening and Jonesy choking before Jude's voice came on the phone. "Dude, are you alright?" The rest of them laughed while Jude was looking down at Jonesy's lifeless body with concern.

"Wait, so you got in Cairo?" Jen asked him as he sat down from his return from the bathroom. She saw his straight face turn to her and give a small nod before smirking and saying, "Yeah, I did."

"That's amazing, how did you find out? I thought thousands of people sent in their recommendation?" Jen asked him as he nodded and said in a quick succession, "Yeah… I was the only person who they couldn't get a read on… They think of me as an unknown." He looked at her and she saw his silver eye burn with excitement while he kept his straight face. "Only Cairo could end up being that." Jen snorted while giving out lemonades to some people who came by, while some of the girls took glances at Cairo that were filled with wonder.

"YOOOOO!" Cairo and Jen turned their heads to see someone rushing down the escalators on a skateboard while two other people followed them down. The guy on the skateboard had an ivory skin tone, blonde hair, blue eyes and a beanie with symbols on his shirt before coming to a stop in front of the table.

"What's happening, dudes and dudettes?"

"Jude, you know the Rent-A-Cop will try to kick you out of the mall again for that, right?" Jen said to him as he laughed and high-fived the second dude with an almond skin tone, blue/black hair, brown eyes, brown shirt and blue pants as they both laughed.

"You should've seen the Rent-A-Cop's face, Jude jumped right over him and made him fall into the fountain." Both boys were laughing their asses off as the last boy panted right next to them before saying, "I can't believe that actually happened. I thought for sure Jude would fail this time." This boy had black skin, brown hair, brown eyes and a guitar on his back.

"You guys need to watch out, people are staring and not for a good reason." A girl with purple hair, tank top and jeans walked up and bonked the guy with blue hair on the head.

"OW! What the heck was that for Nicki?" Nicki narrowed her eyebrows at the boy before whacking him again and sending him straight to the ground.

"Jonesy, you realize that we have information to gather, right?" Jonesy sprung back up and saw Cairo looking at him before blinking and slamming the table before rushing him and grabbing him in a headlock, "CAIRO! DID YOU GET IN?! ARE WE BECOMING FAMOUS?" Cairo sat there and grunted while Jonesy tried to choke him out before Wyatt and Jude grabbed him.

"Jonesy, calm down. He'll tell you when you don't have to choke him out." Wyatt said to him as Jude held Jonesy and said, "Dude, chill out." Everyone sat down and looked at Cairo while Jen sold some lemonades to other people. Cairo looked around and sighed before Nicki asked, "So, you get into the show?" The suspense in the air was palpable as Cairo slowly looked up and stared everyone in the eyes before smirking slightly and nodding, everyone's eyes widening before Jonesy and Jude jumped up and cheered while Nicki and Wyatt watched with proud eyes.

"LET'S GO CAIRO, THAT'S OUR BOY!" Jonesy and Jude lifted him up on their shoulders and praised as he flipped off them and landed on his feet before shutting his eyes and sighing softly, calming down his two friends.

"Guys… I appreciate the praise, but I have to explain why." Everyone sat down as Jen looked over the counter as Cairo pulled out a letter that was sent to him by the show, Total Drama.

Dear Cairo Myles,

We have decided that you shall be one of the many contestants competing in the Total Drama Show, congratulations. We will send you the contract on another day, so we sent this letter to tell you about what the show will entail. You will be staying on an island in Muskoka, Ontario and will be picked up from a location to be brought to the island by boat. You will stay on the island until you get eliminated, and we shall discuss that in the contract. Good Luck.

Sincerely,

Total Drama Crew and Chris McLean

The letter was passed around the whole group before Cairo took it back and stuffed it inside of his pocket before Jonesy started salivating.

"Bro, you know what this means. We're gonna be famous! Cairo, you got to get us the hookups when you are big, my man." Jonesy fired off finger guns at Cairo who just nodded silently and put his head down.

"Jonesy, at least let the man be himself before you talk about him being famous. You know he doesn't care for the spotlight, and what if he leaves the island on the first day." Nicki said being rational and also defending her friend from Jonesy's selfishness.

"There's no way Cairo is going to lose on the first day. We all know what he is capable of. I say he's at the bare minimum going to be Top 8. That's prime competition right there, and I think he could win the whole thing." Jonesy also backed his friend before Wyatt spoke up, "Yeah, I'm with Jonesy on this one. I don't see Cairo losing on his first day, or even the first week. Think, he's going to an island and we all know how much he enjoys nature. I have faith. There's also the fact that he's skilled at a lot of things." Cairo's lips twitched upwards at his friends before nodding with a thankful look at the three of them, as Jude spoke up.

"Dude, you think you could get me into a skateboarding competition?" Jude pleaded with Cairo as Jen let her feelings be known in a joking manner. "Oh and try to get me into a snowboarding company?" She saw the look in Cairo's eyes though as he looked at her, almost as if she could hear him talking to her through his eyes.

"I won't let any of you down." He whispered as everyone heard him say it softly and gave him a look of excitement as they were eager for their friend to dominate.

"Wait, when do you leave for the show?" Nicki asked him as he then frowned slightly as he said, "Two days."

"Only two days. What the heck? What about school?" Cairo looked at him with a glance that said everything he needed to know as he shut up.

"Jonesy, you realize Cairo's grades are basically impenetrable, right?" Jen asked as Jonesy facepalmed and said, "Yeah, I just realized. No wonder why he asked me if I needed a tutor that one day."

"Wait, what about us? Without you, the Rent-A-Cop will be on our asses." Nicki said while flinching as he just shrugged and looked up the escalator to see Ron staring down at them with eagle eyes.

"You guys will be fine. I trust you… Plus, you guys are the only reason I'm in the show, so thank you." Gratitude showed itself from his voice as they all got up, ready to start their days.

"I have to go do my second interview for the Travel Agency, hopefully it goes well this time." Nicki said as Jen responded with, "Well, I'm a couple days away from quitting this job. The Penalty Box accepted me, and I just need to quit this one first. Making sure I find someone to hand off this job to soon."

"I'm probably just going to chill at Grind-Me, maybe see if there's anything to do." Wyatt said as everybody knew what he was really going to do.

"Dude's still checking out Serena?" Jude asked as Jonesy put his arm around him and said, "Jude, my good man, there's something called a crush, and there's another thing called an obsession. Don't fall into an obsession." Cairo shook his head as he said bye to his friends for now before heading out, waiting for the contract to arrive at his house. He walked out and saw a bundle of cars in the parking lot before he saw the one thing that he almost always brought with him. His 2006 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6RR, the motorcycle his dad had bought for him after he got his driving license for cars and then his motorcycle license. He rode his motorcycle home and saw that both his parents were out, which was understandable. His mother was a journalist and newspaper editor who covered Canadian sports and news, and his father was a Travel Writer who sometimes brought him to other countries, so it made sense that he was home most of the time. He walked to the door and saw a package laid against the concrete steps and glass door. He opened the door and walked into his room with multiple posters of different shows and paintings with a forest green paint color and put on his glasses, exposing his right eye, which was a bright blue. His black hair flowed in the wind with his wide-open window as he opened the package that was delivered and unpacked it to reveal multiple papers with a clipboard and contract.

"Interesting, looks like they hid some things thinking that the contestants will blip over them." Cairo thought to himself as he read through the whole contract and fine print before noting down the most important rules that the contract stated.

You will be staying on a campsite on an island until you will be eliminated

When you are eliminated, you will be staying at a resort with pool, hot tub, spa treatment, and more

You need to send information of any allergies and problems with your body

You will be doing multiple challenges with teams of the host's choosing, then the teams will be merged around the middle of the season

Lodging will include cabins that are periodically restored by interns

Cairo looked up and sighed before grunting. He knew contestants wouldn't read the fine print or many parts of the contract, so they'll most likely be fooled by the promise of the 'resort' that they are supposed to live at.

"I'll look over the contract with Mom, and we'll see what we discuss." Cairo put the contract down after taking down some rules and info on a notepad before going into the hallway and going to a door that was designed with multiple toy paintings and walked inside to see a crib with bright green walls. He looked down at the crib and pictured his parents and himself raising his future little sister before breathing out softly and walking out, sitting inside the kitchen and watching the pre-recorded game of the Toronto Raptors and New Jersey Nets. He heard the doorknob to the outside turn before seeing it open and his mom walked inside and put her purse in the closet next to the door before seeing him and hugging him gently.

"Hey son, did the package come in today?" She asked him as he nodded and went to his room before showing her the contract and going over it with her for an hour, discussing the wacky rules and the ways it could be reliant on drama created by the contestants.

"Hm, you did well to read the fine print and make sure you weren't missing anything. Just like I taught you I guess." She chuckled as he just shook his head with amusement as she then looked at his notepad and frowned. "Chris McLean wanted to deceive you guys with the promise of a resort, and I guarantee that most of them will be blinded by the opportunity and fall for the ruse. It looks like you have everything under control though, since you have no physical issues and allergies, so you'll be alright, son. I'll help you pack your things and other things you'll need, like bug spray and mosquito repellent. Let's go get your suitcase." He followed behind his mom silently watching over her and making sure she was alright before heading up to the attic and getting his suitcase before bringing it back downstairs and heading to his room, where his mother was already folding clothes. He saw multiple outfits and clothes that he could wear for working out, casual clothing, and many other types before he fitted them into the suitcase. She also got his running shoes, Timberlands, and multiple pairs of Jordans before they looked and saw that everything was packed.

"Alright…" Cairo looked towards his mother as she looked tired before she yawned and said, "I'm going to go take a nap. You have two more days to hang out before you leave, make sure you do it well, son." She gave him a small peck on the forehead before heading to the master bedroom and lying down, Cairo stepping outside and sitting on a tree branch that overlooked his street. He watched cars pass by and leaves glide in the air, his eyes following the path of the street until he laid his eyes on two girls walking toward the Galleria Mall, a blonde-haired girl with pink shirt and blue skirt as well as a brown-haired girl with a purple-striped shirt and jeans. They walked across his street and seemed to be having a deep conversation as they couldn't care less about the fact that they were in the middle of a road with oncoming cars.

"Why am I really going to this show?" He wondered to himself as he didn't have a single reason besides his friends and parents wanting him to go. He thought about what it would do for him, and then he thought about the multiple upsides it could have.

"If I win… I get money for my family. If I lose… I still get to experience something new. I just know one thing…" He looked down at himself before standing up and closing his eyes.

"I won't lose myself to the fame."

Two days had eventually passed, and now Cairo was being brought to the main location where he would be transported to the islands. He had said bye to his friends, and they ended up giving him some gifts. Jude gave him one of his many skateboards, Jen gave him a free lemonade, and Wyatt would mail a new guitar for him to practice with. Jonesy and Nicki didn't give him anything, but he assured them it would be alright. His father and mother were in the car with him, having some last-minute discussions before he went away, as his father had a three-day break. They were driving to where the boats would pick him up in a 2006 Subaru Forester, and his parents were having a conversation while he sat in the back with a warm gaze and straight face, staying in comfortable silence.

"We're nearly there, just a couple more minutes until we see our son head off for the races." Dashawn said with a laugh as Melody looked back and let her hand rest on her son's cheek. "Cairo, I hope you do amazing there. I know you have the skills to win, but make sure to not alienate yourself and make some friends along the way. I trust you will make us proud over there, win or lose." He looked at his mother with his silver eye showing appreciation and care before being nuzzled on the head by his dad's hand while he kept his other hand on the steering wheel. "Just make sure you keep to yourself over there. Remember, it's a drama show, so people will 100% try to convince you to join them. If someone tries to manipulate you, show them you aren't to be messed with." The car stopped as his family got out of the car and got his suitcase before he walked towards the boat before turning and looking at his parents.

"I won't fall for nonsense." Both his parents smiled as they waved him off while he got on the ship and waited. He saw the car move away in the distance as he looked over the water and let both of his eyes go free. He held his suitcase as he breathed in and out softly, and he heard the ship's horn sound as it got ready to leave.

"Showtime."

"Yo, we're coming at you live from Camp Wawanawka, somewhere in Muskoka, Ontario. I'm your host, Chris McLean. Dropping season one of the hottest new reality show on television, right now." Chris walked down the dock past a sign that said "Wawanawka'' and stopped.

"Here's the deal, 23 campers have signed up to spend 8 weeks right here at this crummy old summer camp. They will compete in challenges against each other. Then have to face the judgement of their fellow campers. Every three days, one team will either win a reward, or watch one of their fellow team members walk down the Dock of Shame, then take a ride on the Loser Boat, and leave Total Drama Island for good." The camera then switched to a campsite with multiple logs planted in the ground with a rocky area behind them and a campfire.

"Their fate will be decided here, at the dramatic campfire ceremony where each week, all but one will receive a marshmallow. In the end, only one will be left standing and will be rewarded with cheesy tabloid fame and a small fortune, which let's face it, they'll probably blow in a week." He grinned and then walked down a path.

"To survive, they'll have to battle…" The footage changed to multiple flies and a bear trying to swat them. "Black flies, grizzly bears…" Footage then transferred to the cafeteria, "Disgusting camp food.." Footage finally went back to Chris. "And each other. Every moment will be caught on one of the hundreds of cameras situated all over the camp. Who will crumble under the pressure? Find out here, Right Now. On..."

"Total…" Footage zoomed out.

"Drama…" It zoomed out even more.

"ISLAND." The whole island was now shown by the footage as it caught all the land and some focus points.

Dear Mom and Dad I'm doin' fine, You guys are on my mind

You asked me what I wanted to be

A blonde, fat boy farts in the ocean and kills a fish as a blonde girl and blonde boy with a hat were riding a surfboard and smells it

and I think the answer is plain to see

I wanna be famous…

Animals attack a tall dark-skinned boy as two watch in the distance. The male with the green mohawk laughs while the brown-haired girl is not impressed.

I wanna live close to the sun…

One dark-skinned girl and another girl with short shorts smack each other constantly before falling down the waterfall

Well, pack your bags cause I already won

Everything to prove, nothing in my way

A male camper with glasses on is practicing fighting moves in a broken log before being hit into a port-a-potty by a girl with orange hair, as a girl with blonde hair and skirt down gets knocked out of the port-a-potty

I'll get there one day

A camper with green hat on is tied up looking at the chef as well as the girl right next to him before she punches him into the table

Cause I wanna be

While the girl punches the boy with the green hat, she also beats the boy in the red jumpsuit in arm wrestling

Famous

Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na

Two girls with the same outfit admire a guy with his shirt off, who was looking at himself in the mirror

I wanna be; I wanna be; I wanna be famous.

A girl with glasses and braces starts twirling flaming batons before she loses control, and it goes into the trees before Cairo catches it and saves a guy who was reading a book right beside him before throwing it back into the air.

I wanna be; I wanna be; I wanna be famous.

A boy with a guitar and a goth girl are about to kiss before another boy comes and stops them while everyone whistles softly

(Song End)

"Welcome back to Total Drama Island." Chris was on the boardwalk talking as he looked towards the surrounding water.

"All right, it's time to meet our first eleven campers. We told them that they will be staying at a five-star resort out here, so if they seemed a little pissed off, that's probably why." A boat could be heard in the distance as it arrived and dropped off a girl with brown hair wrapped in a ponytail who had glasses on as well as braces marking her teeth. She saw Chris and immediately wrapped him in a hug as he said, "Beth, what's up?"

"It's so great to meet you, I'm a huge fan." She then let go of him and said innocently while he dusted himself off, "Wow, you're much shorter in real life than you are on TV." She waved at the camera as Chris looked noticeably weirded out before seeing another boat come and a tall dark-skinned teen walk out with two duffel bags.

"DJ, how's it going, man." They both high-fived each other as DJ said, "Yo, Chris McLean, it's going great." He then looked around and asked, "Are you sure we have the right place? Where's the hot tub at?"

"Yo dog, this is it, Camp Wawanawkwa." DJ shook his head before muttering something about the place looking different before the third boat arrived and a girl with green and black hair and two bags came out.

"Hey Gwen." Chris said with a smile as she asked with a confused tone, "You mean we are staying here?"

"No, you're staying here. My crib is an airstream with A'C' up the creek." She gave him an incredulous stare as she said with finality, "I did not sign up for this." Chris pulled out Gwen's contract and she tore it up in his face before he gave her a smug look and said, "Ya'know, the great thing about lawyers is that they make lots of copies. Plus, even if you try to leave, you have to swim, because your ride has just left." He pointed behind her as the boat she came on rode away as she grunted and accepted her fate. Another boat came by with party music blasting from the speakers as a boy with an open pink shirt jumped onto the dock with his bag and fist-bumped Chris.

"Chris McLean, sup man. It's an honor to meet you, man." He put down his bag as Chris pointed finger-guns at him. "The Geoffster, welcome to the island man."

"Thanks man." The campers in the back all stood watching as Gwen sarcastically said, "If they say man one more time, I'm going to vomit." Another boat came by as Chris introduced the next person. "Everybody, this is Lindsay." A blonde girl with an orange skirt and blue bandana walked out as Chris said to the camera, "Not too shabby."

"Hiii. Okay, you look so familiar."

"I'm Chris McLean." He said with a proud tone that was immediately shelved as he could see she didn't know who he was. "The host of the show." He said in an annoyed tone as she realized something and said, "Oh, that's where I know you from." Another boat arrived then and there as a girl with high heels and dark glasses hopped out and glared at everyone as they all flinched backwards before she took her glasses off and squinted, tightening her fists as she walked up to Chris. "Heather." She didn't care to speak to him as she simply walked straight past him without hesitation as Beth walked up and tried to greet her while spitting all over the place.

"Hey, looks like we're your new friends." Heather had a disgusted look on her face as she stepped back before everyone turned to look in the distance as rock music was being played from a boat as a teen with a green mohawk, spiked necklace that looked like a dog collar and Converse All-Stars jumped out and glared at Chris with gritted teeth.

"Duncan, dude." Chris said with a nonchalant tone as Duncan made a fist and said, "I don't like surprises."

"Yeah, your parole officer warned me about that, man. That's why I contacted him and he let me know you will be returning to juvie if you do anything." Duncan rolled his eyes and shrugged before walking past Chris and looking at Heather, giving her googly eyes as he said, "Meet you by the campfire, gorgeous."

"Drop dead, you skeez." She then stomped to her bags as Chris grinned knowingly to himself as a teen with a red jumpsuit suddenly went flying into the bags from water skis as his luggage fell into the ocean and got Heather wet.

"Wicked wipeout, Tyler." Chris received a thumbs up from the luggage as all the guys nodded in respect for that before Chris chuckled at Heather's misfortune before feeling someone breathing down his neck as he turned around to see a guy with a keyboard around his arm and glasses on his face staring straight at him.

"Welcome to camp, Harold." Harold looked around the whole campsite as Beth asked the other campers, "What is he looking at?" All of them shrugged as Harold asked, "So you mean this show is at a crappy summer camp instead of a big resort or something?" Chris nodded with a thumbs up as Harold pumped his fist and said, "Yes, that is so much more favorable to my skills." Chris sucked his teeth at how weird Harold was before seeing a boy with a guitar case and backpack and black hair.

"Contestant number nine is Trent." Trent walked up and said with appreciation, "Hey, good to meet you, man. I saw you on that figure-skating show. Nice Job." They fist bumped as Chris exclaimed with joy, "Thanks man, I knew I rocked that show!"

"I saw that. One of the guys dropped his partner on her head and they got immunity." Beth said as Harold responded with, "Lucky! I hope I can get dropped on my head." Lindsay nodded and said, "Me too!" The rest of the contestants looked at them weirdly as Trent looked around in confusion and asked with bewilderment, "So this is it?" He received a nod in return as he saw Harold picking his nose as well as Duncan cutting something into the docks and Heather drying her hair. "Alrighty then." He walked and stood next to Harold and Gwen as he gave Gwen a smile and turned away, not noticing the small smile she gave him back. Another boat came, and a blonde-haired girl with a cyan hoodie and surfboard walked out.

"Hey, what's up?" Chris smirked and introduced her, "All right, our surfer chick, Bridgette, is here." Duncan scoffed at her board and said loudly, "Nice board. This ain't Malibu, honey." She looked around and replied, "I thought we were going to be on a beach." She looked at the dirty beach that Chris pointed to and how it was littered with trash and poop. She sighed and shook her head. "Great." Chris tried to speak before Bridgette purposely hit him on the head with her board making it look like an accident, smirking as she did so before walking off as Chris rubbed his head.

"Damn, that hurt." He mumbled to himself in pain as Bridgette introduced herself.

"Hey guys." Geoff saw her and was immediately interested before moving around and saying, "Hey, I'm Geoff." She turned around to see him and almost smacked Duncan, Harold and Trent with her board before Beth introduced herself and she almost did it again.

"Okay, we've all met surfer girl, can we please move on?" Duncan chuckled and said, "Looks like someone missed their Double Cappuccino Macchiato this morning." Harold and Trent laughed as Heather wasn't impressed and simply told him, "Get Bent."

Chris held his head in pain as he stuttered through his next introduction. "O-our next camper is N-Noah." He shook it off as Noah came up and asked, "Did you get the memo about my life-threatening allergies?"

"I'm sure someone did." Chris thought back to when he threw them at Chef and it ended up in the meat grinder. "Good, is this where we are staying?" Noah asked immediately as Duncan cracked his knuckles with a grin. "No, this is your mom's house, and we are throwing a party." Noah responded with sarcasm laced in his voice, "Cute, nice piercings, Original. You do them yourself?" Duncan palmed Noah's face and grabbed his bottom lip before pulling out a needle. "Yeah, you want one?"

"No thanks, can I have my lip back?" Duncan let it go as Noah scoffed and then everyone heard music coming from the boat as they heard, "What's up y'all, Leshawna's in the house." Harold released a gasp as the rest of the campers looked at her as she walked onto the dock and high-fived Chris. "Yo baby, yo how you doing? How's it going? Feel free to quit now and save yourselves the trouble, cause I came to win." She walked up to DJ and said, "What's up my brotha. Give me some sugar, baby." They high-fived as Harold came up from behind her and said with no hesitance. "I've never seen a girl like you in real life before." Leshawna raised an eyebrow at him before Harold continued with his explanation. "You're real big and loud." The campers all grew wide eyes at Harold's stupidity as Leshawna narrowed her eyes at him. "What did you say to me? Oh no, you didn't. You have not seen anything yet. I'll show you big, baby." She rolled up her sleeves and prepared to beat him to a pulp before Bridgette and DJ grabbed her, while Harold began to do kung-fu moves to try and scare her off. "Oh yeah, you want some of this? Well, come on then!" Chris glared at them and said, "Alright campers, settle down." Everyone separated as Leshawna glared at Harold while he gave her a nervous smile as an apology. As this was going on, two girls with the same pink outfit and pink luggage walked up, with one being more slim and a darker skin color while the other was more chubby and had lighter skin.

"Ladies, Katie, Sadie, welcome to your new home for the next 8 weeks." Chris said as the camera focused on the outhouse and bathrooms.

"Oh my gosh, Sadie look, it's a summer camp."

"Okay, I always wanted to go to summer camp." Both cheered and ran to the rest of the campers as a boy with a green beanie and camo green sweater arrived. "Ezekiel, what's up, man?" Ezekiel looked at the sky and saw a bird flying above him before he pointed that out. "I think I see a bird."

Trent and Duncan chuckled at the teen before Chris took him aside and gave him some advice. "Look dude, I know you don't get out much since you've been homeschooled your whole life and raised by freaky prairie people, so don't say much and try not to get kicked off on the first day." Chris saw the way Ezekiel was unaware and ignorant and tried to warn him before he simply walked off. After Ezekiel nodded and walked away, another boat arrived with a teen with a gap in his teeth and cream shirt with red and blue stripes.

"Cody, The Code-ster, the Code-Meister." They fist-bumped as Cody walked up, trying to impress the girls. "Psyched to be here, man. I see that the ladies have already arrived here. Looking good." He walked past Leshawna before trying to speak to her, and she ended up shushing him. "Save it, short stuff." The next boat delivered a girl with a ponytail and defined muscles.

"Eva, nice. Glad you could make it." She said nothing and walked past before dropping her luggage on Cody's foot.

"Dang, what's in there, dumbbells?" He asked while in pain and holding his foot.

"Yes." She said with a look as Duncan and DJ shared a look before he said, "She's all yours, man." Chris was facing the campers before he felt a scream behind him and he flinched heavily, "WOOHOO." He turned around and saw a blonde teen with a maple leaf t-shirt.

"Chris, what's happening? This is awesome!" He cheered again as Chris liked the energy he came with. "Owen, welcome!"

Owen hugged Chris tightly and held him up in the air as he began to cheer about how awesome the show was going to be. Chris dusted himself off before introducing the next contestant.

"Okay everyone, this is Courtney." A girl with brown hair and a golden skin tone waved down at them with a smile as she was helped off the boat by Chris. "Thank you." She said to Chris before introducing herself.

"You must be the other contestants, it's nice to meet you all." Owen suddenly grabbed her hand and gave her a firm handshake. "Nice to meetcha', I'm Owen."

She planned on giving him a response before seeing something that made her and everyone else around her freeze. The next contestant was a male with perfect skin, necklace, and a shirt that showed off his body to the others. His hair flowed through the air as he was delivered to the docks, with all the girls and Owen admiring his look and swooning over him.

"This is Justin. Welcome to Total Drama Island." Chris said as Justin shook his hand and said, "Thanks Chris, this is great."

"Just so you know, we picked you based entirely off of your looks." Justin shrugged in acceptance knowing that he was good-looking and went to the other campers who stared at him before Owen came up to him and complimented his pants before facepalming at the stupid things he just said.

"Alright, our second-to-last camper to introduce, it's Izzy!" Crhis pointed at the orange-haired girl who was on the top of the boat.

"Hi Chris! Hi!" She stepped off the boat and smacked her chin against the dock before everyone flinched and Tyler started laughing.

"Dude, it's not like yours was any better." Duncan said as Geoff and DJ cuckold before Courtney and Bridgette got Izzy out of the water.

"That felt so… GOOD! Except for hitting my chin on the wood. This is a summer camp? Wow, that is so cool! Do you have any paper here for paper-mache? Are we having any lunch soon?" The campers were all weirded out by her random questions except for Owen who heard what she asked about lunch and seconded that.

"Alright, for our last contestant. Meet Cairo." Chris and every camper turned to see the boat arrive and stop there before hearing a commotion. Cairo stepped out with his luggage and walked onto the dock before giving everyone a silent stare with his eye that was showing. He nodded in respect towards Chris before walking to everyone else and giving them a nod, before lifting his hair and showing how both of his eyes were different colors as everyone looked at them.

"Dang, he looks good. Not as good as me, but better than average." Justin thought to himself with respect for Cairo off the bat as he sat down on the Wawanawka Sign with his luggage and sighed softly before saying something that everyone heard.

"Nice to meet you…" His soft tone made everyone nod back before Chris stepped up.

"First things first…" He pulled a camera out and said with a grin, "We need a group photo for the promos. Everyone to the end of the dock." Chris jumped on Cairo's boat while everyone got in their positions with either a smile, smirk, or straight face. Cairo sat next to DJ on the Wawanawka sign with a tiny smile on his face.

"Okay… One...Two...Three…" Chris snapped a photo before everyone grew confused as he said, "Oops, forgot the lens cap. Okay, hold that pose again." Chris got ready to take the picture again before he said again, "Darn the card's full. Hold on a second." The campers grew tired before Cairo saw a crack in the dock starting the form and tapped DJ, who was next to him.

"Yo man, what's up?" He pointed down at the crack that was forming and DJ noticed it before taking a seat on the sign along with Cairo, making sure that he wasn't going to fall into the water.

"Okay, everybody say 'Wawanawka.'"

"WAWANAWKA!" All the campers said it as the dock split apart and nearly everybody fell into the water below, with only DJ and Cairo being spared as they took a real picture instead of being exposed.

"Alright guys and girls, dry off and meet at the campfire pit in 10." Chris and the boat went further down as the campers got out of the water and dried off on land before they noticed Cairo and DJ were dry.

"Wait, how are you two even dry?" Gwen asked as she dried off her hair before DJ said, "We sat on the sign, and it didn't fall." He didn't let out the little tidbit that Cairo saw the crack and didn't tell anybody, so they just accepted it as truth and moved on. Cairo began to walk by himself towards the cabins to check out the map of the island as DJ walked right next to him.

"Hey, thanks for that warning, man. I hate the water, so you did me a huge favor." Cairo nodded and DJ put up a fist before Cairo fist-bumped him and gave him a little smile before they both walked towards the campsite, DJ striking up a conversation.

"Why do you think they tricked us with the 5-star resort?" He asked as Cairo shook his head before saying softly, "They didn't trick us… It was in the fine print…" DJ thought back to when he signed the contract and how he didn't end up reading it over that much before facepalming and saying, "Dang, really? I skipped that contract like it was nothing." They arrived at the campsite and DJ went to go sit down on a log while Cairo went onto the rocks behind the campsite and sat down, watching over the campsite and getting a comfortable sitting position. He and DJ watched campers come to the campsite one by one and find a seat on the logs while looking at him weirdly for sitting on the rocks. Eventually, more and more people came and sat down while others had to stand and wait. Chris finally came and saw that everyone was there before he got started again.

"This is Camp Wawanawka, your home for the next eight weeks. The campers sitting around you will be your cabin mates, your competition, and maybe your friends if it comes down to it." Everyone looked at each other with varying glances. Duncan made a fist and threatened Harold while Cody stared at Lindsay.

"The camper who manages to stay on Total Drama Island for the longest without ever getting voted off will win $100,000 dollars."

Duncan interrupted him and said, "Excuse me, what will the sleeping arrangements be? Cause I would like to request a bunk under her." He pointed directly at Heather as she gagged and said, "They aren't co-ed, are they?" Chris shook his head and said, "Girls get one side of the cabin, while guys get the other side. Capische?" Then everyone fired their own questions and responses, like Lindsay requesting a lakeside view and Katie and Sadie having a panic attack over not sleeping next to each other.

"This can't be happening." Gwen said before she and Tyler got grabbed by Owen in between his arms before he said, "Aw, come on. It'll be fun, like one big sleepover."

Tyler looked at Gwen and whispered while looking at Duncan who was giving a deer a noogie while keeping it in a headlock, "At least you don't have to sleep next to him."

Duncan felt a pebble hit him on the head as he grit his teeth before looking around, daring whoever that just threw it to step up before Chris told him to calm down. Duncan looked back at Cairo, who was staring off with a straight face as Duncan shook his head before Cairo knowingly gave a little smile.

"Here's the deal. We're going to split you into two teams, so if I call your name out right now, go over there." Everyone grew tense as this was the moment where many things were decided, such as who would they sleep with, who would they be teamed up with, and who would they dislike on the team? Chris began the roll call as he said the first name.

"Gwen, Trent, Heather, Leshawna, Owen, Eva, Sadie, Tyler, Lindsay, Beth, and Justin." He listed all of their names before tossing a rolled up cloth to Owen, who unrolled it to reveal a logo with a gopher with muscles that was screaming. "You guys are the Screaming Gophers."

"Wow, I'm a gopher, let's go!" Owen gave a fist bump to Tyler and Trent and tried to give one to Eva before she gave him a glare.

"Wait, what about Katie? We need to be on the same team!" Sadie wailed out as Chris revealed the other team.

"Now for the others. Cairo, Duncan, Courtney, Geoff, Bridgette, Noah, Cody, DJ, Katie, Izzy, Harold, and Ezekiel." All of them looked at each other and nodded before grouping up. "You all will officially be known as the Killer Bass."

"Alright campers, you and your teams will be on camera in all public areas during this competition. You'll also be able to share your innermost thoughts on tape with video diaries anytime you want to let the audience at home know what you're really thinking or get something off your chest at what I'd like to call, the Confessional." Chris pointed towards an old outhouse by the cabins and campsite.

(Confessionals)

"Uhm, okay... So far this sucks." Gwen deadpanned as she crossed her arms.

*Static*

"I don't understand, where is the camera guy?" Lindsay said while facing the wrong way and had her skirt covering the camera.

*Static*

A duck was putting on lipstick and make up before seeing the door open and a tall man with a chef's hat grabbed it.

*Static*

Owen farted on camera and chuckled before doing it again.

*Static*

"Okay, now deliver your luggage to each cabin and we will get on with the first challenge. Since the teams are uneven, only the members of the Killer Bass will take part for immunity. Gophers, you're in the east cabin, Bass, you're in the west."

Everyone got their things and moved their luggage to the cabins before opening the door to see bunk beds. Cairo was with the guys that were on the Bass and they were deciding which beds they were going to get.

"Alright, who's trying to bunk with me?" Duncan said as everyone stepped back before Cairo shrugged and nodded at him. "Alright, I'm taking top bunk. That good?" Cairo had no issues as they put their luggage on the bunk beds before Geoff and DJ decided to bunk. Then Noah and Cody bunked, and finally Ezekiel and Harold. Cody walked out to the girl's side of the Gophers' cabin while Ezekiel started picking his nose.

"What do you guys think the first challenge is going to be? I mean it is only for us?" Geoff asked all of them as Duncan pounded his fists together. "Hope its something fun. I'm not about to be eliminated first, so I am taking everybody down."

"We might as well be ready for anything, considering that Chris already lied to us about the resort." Noah sighed before Cody was thrown back through the door and into the wall before all the guys looked outside to see Eva with a pissed-off look on her face.

"Damn, string-bean, what the heck did you do?" Duncan said while laughing as Cody got up and said, "I only tapped her shoulder." Cairo helped him get back to normal as Geoff went outside and asked Chris, "Excuse me Chris, is there a type of chaperone around here?" Chris shook his head and replied, "You're all 16 years old, perfect age for a counselor-in-training at a normal summer camp. So other than myself, you are all un-supervised. You got a half-hour to unpack and meet me back by the main lodge." Lindsay came out and asked, "Hey Kyle, are there any outlets? I need to plug in my straightening iron." Chris rolled his eyes and responded, "There are some in the communal bathrooms."

"But I'm not Catholic." Gwen snorted as Chris said, "Not communion, communal." Gwen looked at her and said, "It means we shower together, idiot."

Lindsay wailed as the boys looked around before finally getting stuff set up and looking around the premise, wondering about the next challenge before Lindsay screamed again, this time much more profound as everyone rushed over to see the issue. They looked down to see a cockroach going around the girl's section of the Gophers' cabin. It came closer to them as people tried to stomp on it to try and kill it before DJ screamed and broke a bed.

"That was my bed…" Gwen deadpanned as Duncan kicked down the door and held an axe in the air before slicing the cockroach in half.

Cairo walked away from the main group, not willing to join in their escapades and just trying to get on with his day. He found himself at the main lodge with plenty of time to spare, so he went inside and saw a tall, dark-skinned man with a chef's hat glare at him. He was unfazed at this, and simply stared the man down as the chef nodded with respect at the teen before Cairo leaned against the wall with his hand in his pockets, waiting for everyone to arrive.

"If there is a challenge for my team alone, I can't be last. Most likely, whoever is last or loses first will be kicked straight off." He thought to himself as he heard the door open as everyone walked inside before he stood back up and lined up with everyone else as the chef began his speech.

"LISTEN UP! I serve food three times a day, and you will eat it three times a day, no excuses! Grab your tray, get your food, and sit your asses down, NOW!" Beth asked him, "Excuse me, will we be getting all of the major food groups?" Harold continued with this by saying, "Yeah, because I get hypoglycemic real bad if I don't get enough sugar." Chef wasn't having any of the nonsense and yelled, "You'll get a lot of shut the hell up!" Owen wise-cracked, "Have a cow." Chef grabbed him by his shirt collar and said, "What did you say? Come closer, fat boy. I didn't hear you." Owen grabbed his tray and cowered away from the man before Noah walked up.

"You, skinny boy, give me your tray." Chef dropped more meat on the bread before Noah walked away as Cairo, Eva and Leshawna all stepped up.

"What's up, girl?" Leshawna tried to gain a new friend in Eva, who was also on her team before Eva just gave her a stare and walked away, with Leshawna not being cool about it. "So, it's gonna be like that?" She looked at Cairo and asked, "What's up baby? You alright?" Cairo looked at her and gave her a silent nod as he recognized what she was trying to do before saying softly, "Yeah, thanks…" Leshawna saw how he didn't talk much and gave him a nod back before getting her tray. Cairo walked up to get his tray and Chef gave him another glare before it turned into another nod as Cairo didn't fall for the man's intimidation. He got his tray and gave a silent 'Thank You' before walking away and sitting down at his table, away from Harold and Ezekiel as DJ, Geoff, Noah, Cody and Duncan sat next to him.

"You know this changes nothing about the first challenge? I'm still going to crush you all." Duncan said with a smirk as Cody confidently replied with, "No way man, I'm taking this challenge. I'm not about to be the first eliminated." Noah shook his head before trying the food and watched as it hopped away from him. "Are you sure this food is even legal to eat?" Cairo had no qualms with the food, as he ate everything normally with the rest of the people around him wondering how he was eating the food without an issue.

"I mean, if it's a strength challenge we can expect the nerd or home-schooled to be gone. They don't look like they're gonna do any damage." Duncan chuckled as Geoff gave him a fist bump before Ezekiel heard him and said loud and clear for everyone to hear, "Hey, I'll do better than the girls, eh. You know boys are always stronger than girls. They always need our help, so I will win and help them out, eh." All the girls gave him a massive glare as the boys started laughing at his soon-to-be misfortune.

"No way you just said that man." Geoff and Cody started pounding the table in laughter while Cairo and DJ chuckled before Eva, Leshawna, and Bridgette confronted the poor soul.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Bridgette stood in front of him as Eva smashed Harold's tray as well as his part of the table before saying, "Come on home-schooled, enlighten us." Leshawna grabbed his hat and stomped on it before she grabbed him and prepared to let Eva show him pain before Chris walked in and saw the predicament.

"Uhm, why are you already attacking Ezekiel?" Chris asked with a raised eyebrow as he saw every girl was fuming and the boys were crying with laughter.

"He said that boys are superior to girls and that they always need our help…" Cairo said as Chris shook his head with mirth as he said, "Well, good to know that someone is already on the verge of elimination. Bass, your first 'challenge' will be to pick who will be eliminated right now before we even begin with the physical activities." Chris didn't need a second before everyone pointed at Ezekiel, who was covered in slop.

"Chef Hatchet, please escort Ezekiel from the area." Ezekiel stood up with slop covering his face and embarrassment masking his whole body as he almost began crying right there while others felt a little bad for him. Even if he was a misogynist, he didn't deserve all of that on national TV when he probably was raised that way. Chef carried him out as Chris continued with his speech, "Your first challenge begins in one hour." He walked away as everyone else looked at each other.

"I thought he would make us do a physical challenge. Seems he is all about pumping the ratings and creating drama, even if it means eliminating someone in such a cut-throat manner." Cairo thought as he stared at the spot where Ezekiel last sat before shaking his head and putting it down.

"What do you think he'll make us do?" Katie asked Izzy before she swung herself up and said, "Ou, I hope we have to swing in the trees in a race. Or maybe we have to gather poison ivy?" DJ just shrugged and said with complete confidence, "It's our first challenge. How hard can it really be?"

Cairo got up and went out, leaving his fellow teammates behind as he looked around before seeing Chris hanging out outside.

"Hello, brah. You will meet me at the hill, so there isn't any confusion brought up, and make sure you bring your swimming outfit." Chris said as Cairo nodded and walked before turning around and smirking at Chris, who looked at him with a confused look.

"Nice try with the contract…" He whispered simply before turning and walking away with his neutral look, Chris grinning at him as he said out loud, "Well, looks like some of these kids aren't as ignorant as I thought."

Cairo walked back to the cabin and got his dark blue swimming trunks as well as a black tank top before spraying himself with his bug spray and applying sunblock before seeing the rest of the guys in his cabin walk in.

"Damn, you're here already?" Geoff asked as he nodded before putting on his blue and black Jordan 4's and passing his bug spray and sunblock over to them.

"You can use it…" He said with a nod before standing and waiting as they all thanked him.

"Yo thanks man. I didn't bring any bug spray, so this is a blessing." Geoff said as he took off his shirt before they all got changed and got ready to leave. Noah took his shirt off and put on his swimming shorts and brought sandals while Cody did the same. DJ took his normal box shorts with him while Duncan went barefoot. They all started walking together as they all went to the location Chris said to meet him at.

"Dang, we are already doing a water challenge." DJ cursed as Cairo put his hand on his shoulder and calmed him down, at least momentarily.

"This is about to be so much fun." Geoff and Cody both agreed as Geoff tried to chest-bump him before Cody fell to the ground. "Sorry dude." The guys got increasingly wary as they approached the hill and saw a silhouette at the top. And right then and there knew it wasn't going to be fun anymore. They got to the top and saw an evil grin plastered on Chris's face as they waited for the rest of the contestants. They all eventually came, and Chris revealed the very first challenge of the season.

"Your first task is to jump off this thousand-foot-high cliff into the lake below."

"Well, shit"

Notes:

Cairo Myles's Personality: I'd say he's like Shino from Naruto. He's quiet and only talks when he feels like he needs to, but is resourceful and has appreciation for nature and uses his skills to full effect. He also can be really friendly, but is more of a loner.

6teen characters: Yeah, they are in this universe. I love the show and watch it all the time and wanted them in here.

Dashawn and Melody: Cairo's parents. As told in the story, they had him in their late teens and stayed by each other's side. Melody is French-Canadian, while Dashawn is African-American. They both are voices of reason for Cairo, and they understand why he's so quiet and they still love him. Also, Melody is 7 months pregnant.

Their Jobs: Dashawn's job will come in big during the World Tour when I eventually get to it, and same for Melody with TDA.

Vehicles: Yeah, Cairo has a motorcycle. In the show, Jude has a license, so I decided to give Cairo one as well.

How Cairo will impact the season: Wait and see.

Intro: Yeah, I had Cairo sit next to Noah. You'll see why.

DJ: Cairo enjoys Nature, and so does DJ. He is the first link, and who will be Cairo's main ally. DJ is good-hearted, kind, and when he applies himself is a force, so Cairo and him would be a great friendship.

The Team Switch-Up: Eva and Tyler switch with Noah and Cody, and I have my reasons for that. Just know that multiple challenges will be getting a fix from the disservice that the show brought them (Phobia Factor), multiple eliminations will be switched up, and new dynamics will be created.

Ezekiel's elimination: Probably the only thing I really dislike about this chapter, as I could've done it in a much better way. Don't worry to all you Ezekiel fans though, I'll cut him some slack later on.

QOTD: What was your least favorite elimination from the original show?
