""You're so free"

That's what everybody's telling me

Yet I feel like I'm like an outward-bound

Pushed around, refugee"

Naruto glared at the ground, channeling his anger and hate. His fists clenched, and he willed himself to calm down, to recall what had happened. Taking a deep breath, he let himself go over the past events.

Naruto was panting hard as he fought Sasuke. Sweat dripped down his face as he frustratingly tried to punch Sasuke. In return, the raven haired boy only grinned. "Is that all you got?" Naruto wouldn't be so easily taken down and he grinned. "Never!" The two boys fought and trained until the sun was close to setting. Only Sakura and Kakashi remained to watch to make sure the two didn't do anything stupid. "Alright, that's enough for today!" Kakashi got their attention and announced their day was over. Naruto frowned at having to go, but complied. He quickly jogged to catch up with the trio, and said, "What are you guys gonna do tonight?" Sasuke let out a "tch" and said, "Not spend it with you." Sakura couldn't help but giggle slightly at that comment. "Sorry, Naruto, but I'm tired so I'll be going home. It must be nice though, to do whatever you want!" She said her comment without thought, only thinking of how her parents will be worried about her staying up too late. No one noticed Sasuke's brow twitch, or Naruto's smile falter for a moment. Naruto quickly covered it up with a bright grin. "Oh of course! No parents to bother me, so I'm always free. Anyway, I'll see you all tomorrow!" Kakashi narrowed his eyes in concern as Naruto quickly dashed off, but he shrugged it off. Perhaps Naruto was simply eager to get a good night's rest after all that training.

Unbidden, tears started to flow so suddenly that Naruto jumped slightly. Had Sakura's comment affected him that much? Surely, he was stronger than that. You are weak. Pathetic. Naruto's eyes grew wide and he said, "Get out of my head!" You can never get rid of me. He grit his teeth and took out a kunai knife, stabbing it slightly into his hand. "Shut up!" As the pain took over the sadness he smiled and took out a bandage from his pouch. Easily wrapping it he took a deep breath and felt much more calmer as the Kyuubi's voice receded.
