Chapter 1: Inconsolable.
Sitting on her couch, Bonnie watched television with a bowl of cereal in her hand. The young woman took advantage of the free time she had left before going to her pharmaceutical practice. At twenty-seven, the latter had her own practice in a city of Los Angeles.
The latter had left Mystic Falls since the loss of her boyfriend, killed by a vampire hunter. The vampire knew that she would not make up for all the lost time, but she still wanted to create a bond with her daughter, which had not been easy at the beginning but ultimately not impossible because as incredible as that perhaps, their relationship had really evolved over time and the two women had become close. Her death had left a great void to young Bennett who had finally found a mother she had never had, to believe that fate was against her.
It was now four years since Abby and Enzo had left this world.
Bonnie still had not rebuilt her life, haunted by the memory of her lost love, the latter had devoted herself to her work to overcome her grief, but as soon as she found herself alone in her apartment again, reality caught up with her. Her best friend needed her in Mystic Falls. Bonnie was going to have to return to her hometown where she spent all her childhood, where all her memories are but also where she has lost absolutely everything. How funny it would be to see her friends again, even if deep down, she reluctantly went back and would certainly never have come back if the situation weren't so urgent. Barely arrived in front of the mansion, the young Bennett felt the absence of Enzo. She missed him dearly more than she thought she would. The vampire had made her so happy that she even once thought of becoming a vampire to stay with him and her mother, Abby forever, allowing Elena to wake up at the same time. The witch wiped a tear, then rang the doorbell.

Damon looked at her for a long time too before finally turning to Bonnie, guessing she probably had a lot of questions.

Everything was ready. All that was needed was to put the coffin of young Petrova in the trunk of the car so that she could finally leave the city. When that was done, Stefan took the wheel while his brother took a seat next to it and closed the door.
During the long hours of travel, Bonnie remained silent next to Jeremy who still had not spoken to her since his arrival.

Bonnie kept her head against the window of the car with her eyes closed, wishing this would all be over as soon as possible and finally return home far from the supernatural that brought back painful memories to her, but just as the latter was about to reopen them. eyes, the witch was suddenly struck by a violent vision.
