Warning: Minor swearing (only for Chloe and Alya)
Chloe was always protective of her childhood best friend (though she doesn't really show it), even when they aren't as close as they used to be.
Adrien was always there for her and she was always there for him... until his father traps him at home after his mother disappeared. Uncle Gabriel was always protective of his son but this was a whole another level. Chloe can smell something rotten about this whole situation from a mile away, but it's not like she has any evidence of some sort to prove anything.
Auntie Emilie would never leave his son, she loves him too much for that.
She was always like a mother to Chloe, more than her real mother ever was and it hurts her to see that she was gone.
And she means too much to Chloe for her to let anyone who she doesn't know involve her mother figure in any of their lies. Oh hell no.
"Yes, I have seen that movie. It was amazing! You know... The lead actress once asked me for help with her acting skills." Said Lila, giddily.
Everyone (almost) was staring at her in awe. Adrien was in his seat staring into nothing but emptiness, the seat beside him was empty as his best friend was standing near the liar's table next to the designer's best friend, listening to Lila another ridiculous story. The said designer was in her usual seat doing whatever (Chloe doesn't really care). Nathaniel was taking a nap in his seat. She's pretty sure that he also knows that Lila is lying all this time.
"That's amazing Lila!" Alya beamed.
"Yeah, you always help people! You're amazing!" Rose said giddily, causing Chloe to scoff loudly.
Everyone stared judgingly. "What's your problem?" Asked Ivan.
Chloe flicked her hair before standing up. "My problem is that you all lacked brain cells."
"What?"
"Whatever." Alya scoffed. "You're probably jealous that Lila knows Emilie Graham de Vanily -Adrien's head perks up at the name- and you don't know her or ever met her." She grinned.
'She really thought that she did something.' Thought Chloe while she let out a laugh in irony. Everyone looked at her weirdly. Adrien stared at everyone blankly for a moment and Marinette looks as if she was about to laugh with her.
"Chloe.." Adrien tried to reach her.
"Shut up. Sit down."
"Bu- okay."
"Haha. No. Me? Jealous of this… whoever she is. That's ridiculous.. utterly ridiculous! I got more connections than sausage hair-looking ass bitch. All she ever does is lie like please, everyone knows Jagged Stone had Fang the crocodile- Of course I know that, he did stay at my Daddy's hotel after all, and he never had a cat. *Stupid bitches*. Ladybug would never tell anyone her identity. Hawkmoth still exists, you know."
"That doesn't prove anything." Said, someone.
"Are you fu- At first I don't fucking what shit comes out of that bitch's mouth before but you hurt my Adrikin's feelings and that is unacceptable."
"What are you talking about?" Nino raises his eyebrows.
"You've been to his house before Lahiffe. Haven't you seen any of the portraits or pictures?"
"Wha- o-oh. Oh. Dude.." Nino walks to Adrien, placing his hand on his shoulders. "I'm sorry." He frowned, disappointed in himself for not realizing it sooner.
"It's okay." Adrien tried to reassure him.
"No. It's not. I should've known better. I should've recognized her."
"It's okay. Really."
"Wait- what's happening?" Alya asked, her brain clouded with confusion.
"Oh my god. Just google her name, you dimwit! Google is free you know! Ridiculous.." Everyone started searching googling.
"Oh shhh-" Alix stared at her phone, her eyes opened wide.
"Graham de Vanily was Auntie Emilie's name before she was married. What's her last name changed to now? Hm?"
"Emilie Agreste." Marinette stated. Everyone else was dead silent. Adrien's shoulders went stiffed under Nino's hand.
"That's right." Chloe smirked. "Adrien's mother. The one who disappeared for a year now without a trace." Her smirk dropped as she turned to Adrien. "Are you okay, Adrikins?" She looked at him with worried eyes. Everyone else was gob-smacked.
Lila tried to back herself up. "W-What I meant was-"
"Oh save it Lie-la!" Chloe shouted, startling everyone in the room. "Everyone knows the truth now, but let me add one more; You're too stupid to not even checked who else was in the bathroom when you threaten Dupain-Cheng."
"T-threaten Marinette?" Adrien asked standing from his seat. "Marinette? Why didn't you tell me? -Or the teachers?"
"I- um.."
"And I told you to take the high road. Oh my god. I'm such a bad friend."
"You didn't know. Taking the high road is the only thing you know what to do in these kinds of situations. You didn't want her to get akumatized and I understand that."
"But-"
"It's okay."
"No, it's not. We'll talk more about this later." He insisted.
Meanwhile; "I haven't done anything to Marinette. Chloe's lying. She is lying! You have to believe me. You all know how Chloe can be." Lila tried to defend herself.
"Puh-lease. I'm anything but a liar. Besides, I have proof. Sabrina? Play it."
"Yes, Chloe." Sabrina took her phone out and to play the recording.
"I only tell people what they want to hear."
"It's called lying!"
"There's nothing you can do about it, anyway. People can't resist when they hear what they like to hear. If you don't want to be my friend, fine! But soon you won't have any friends left at all. -Everyone gasped even louder- And trust me, I'll make sure you never get close to Adrien in class or anywhere. You seem a little less dumb than the others, so I'll give you one last chance. You are either with me or against me. You don't have to answer right away. I'll give you 'till the end of class today." Recording end.
Kim banged his fist against the table in anger. Nathaniel who woke up due to all the commotion now stared at Lila with his mouth opened wide ready to catch a fly. Rose started to cry as Juleka held her close and try to calm her down (and everyone is about to die. Not really but still.)
Alya's face went red and her hands started shaking. Chloe swears that she could see smoke coming out of her ears.
"You did WHAT!? " Alya about to rip Lila's hair off but Nino ran to her and held her down just in time. "LET ME GO. I'M GOING TO KILL HER." Other boys came to her and help Nino held her down.
"No Alya no!" Nino tried.
"YES ALYA YES!" She argued. "You hurt my best friend, then I'm going to hurt you!" Lila tried to escape but Alix, Max and Kim
"NO, Alya." Marinette tried calming her down.
That should do it. "Alright, alright. I'm calm." Alya calmed while the other boys let go of her.
"You okay now babe?"
"Yeah, I am. I'm going outside."
"Okay. I'll go too." Marinette followed her. They walked past Alix, Max, Kim and Lila. Before they reached the door, Alya turned back and face them before running towards them.
Marinette runs after her, "Alya, no." too late, Alya punched Lila in the face.
"OW"
"THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FUCKER."
Alix and Kim started laughing their ass off. "OH MY GOD. I CAN'T."
"That was so good!"
"WAIT." Yelled Chloe, before walking towards Lila who was holding on to her face in pain. She then slaps her hard causing Lila to fell on the floor.
"That's what you get for harassing Adrikins and lie about knowing Aunt Emilie."
"You know what? I'm not even mad about that." Said Adrien.
[Time skip]
Marinette was leaving the school with Alya before she heard someone called her name. She turned around to see Adrien running towards her. Alya sends her a look and a smirk before walking to Nino.
"Hey, Marinette." He greeted her.
"H-Hi Adrien" She smiled.
"I know I apologized to you before in class but I don't think it's enough." He took her hands in his causing her to blush profusely.
"I'm so sorry, Mari. I should have never given you that terrible advice, I feel terrible for it and I understand that you might not forgive me yet. I know that I should've done more to help but I didn't. I'm sorry."
"I'm not going to lie that it did hurt me, not just what you did but what our classmates did too. They all didn't listen to me and didn't bother checking their sources but yet I forgave them, it would be a bit wrong of me to not forgive you too since you weren't as bad as the other. I forgive you, Adrien and thank you for apologizing." Before she could say anything else, Adrien pulled her into a hug.
"I'm glad."
A/N: To be honest, at first I wasn't going to bring up the Marinette thing and just Adrien-centred. Get what I mean? But I just want it the one shot to be longer so I have to put it there. I wish I could've written more reactions especially Lila's but my mind gone blank but I still hope people likes this.
