Hey, I'm back with another oneshot for Undertale! This is a prompt for the r/fanfiction subreddit. The prompt is: spring cleaning. I hope you enjoy what I did with it!

"SANS! IT'S TIME FOR SPRING CLEANING!" Papyrus calls out.

"Do you think he'll actually come help?" Frisk asks, glancing between the bedroom door and Papyrus.

"DON'T WORRY, FRISK! I'LL MAKE SURE SANS HELPS US OUT!" Taking a step towards the bedroom door, Papyrus stops when it opens.

Sans stands in the doorway. "sup, bro? sup, Frisk?"

"SANS! YOU NEED TO CLEAN UP YOUR SIDE OF OUR ROOM!"

Frisk smirks. "Yeah, it's spring cleaning time. You have to make your part of the room not so messy."

"alright, whatever you say, kiddo." Sans turns, heading back into his bedroom.

"WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO START FIRST?" Papyrus asks, looking at Frisk.

She pauses, thinking a moment. "Well, Alphys and Undyne are already working on our room, so I don't want to get in their way. Toriel's also doing her room and Sans's doing your room… though I don't know how well that will be…"

"WHY DON'T YOU WORK ON THE KITCHEN?" Papyrus asks. "I CAN WORK ON THE GARAGE!"

Nodding, Frisk smiles. "Okay! I'll do that now!" She moves into the kitchen as Papyrus heads to the garage.

After a long while of cleaning, bringing unwanted things to the living room, and going through stuff, Papyrus comes back out to the hallway on a small break. Raising his hand to the door, he raps his bony knuckles on the door. "SANS! CAN I COME IN?"

The door opens, Sans halfway across the room, holding out a hand pointed towards the door. Is he lazy enough to use magic to open the door? Yes, yes he is.

"CAN'T YOU JUST OPEN THE DOOR LIKE A NORMAL PERSON, BROTHER?" Papyrus asks, shaking his head.

"sorry, bro. i've put a lot of backbone into my work."

"SANS!" But Papyrus looks around, and things are… tidier, to say the least.

There's still the small trash tornado in the corner, but there seem to be fewer objects trapped in its winds. The sheet usually balled up on the bare mattress of the bed lay over it, untangled. Not as much dust is on the lampshade, and all the drawers are closed. The side of the room still doesn't look perfect, but it's much better than it typically is.

"something wrong, bro?" Sans asks, glancing up at the staring Papyrus.

"NO, I JUST DIDN'T THINK THAT THE ROOM WOULD BE SO TIDY!"

Sans chuckles. "honestly, paps, you should give me some more credit. i've done a skeleton of work in the past, cleaning is snow difference."

"BROTHER! IT ISN'T EVEN SNOWING HERE!" Papyrus exclaims, stomping his foot once.

"well, now it's your turn to clean your side of the room. i'm finished here."

"SIGH… OKAY. THAT MEANS YOU GET TO TAKE OVER CLEANING THE GARAGE OUT! NYEHEHEH!"

Surprise crosses Sans's face for a moment, before vanishing. "uh, okay, bro. i'll go start on it now." He heads out of the room, through the house, and into the garage.

More time passes.

Frisk leaves the kitchen, wiping a small amount of sweat off her forehead with her sleeve. Heading over to the garage, she pulls the door open. "Hey, Papyrus?"

Sans shortcuts in front of her. "heya, kid. i took over for papyrus after finishing up with my part of our room. he's in our room right now."

"Oh, okay." Frisk nods, before glancing around. "Are you actually cleaning the garage, or are you just sleeping the whole time?"

"i don't know where you got that idea, kid. i've been putting a skeleton of work into this." He pulls out a bottle of ketchup, taking a sip. "you all might need to put some backbone into it to ketchup."

Letting out a small giggle, Frisk smiles. "Alright, I'll work hard. Bonejour!" Laughing at her own joke, she waves and flees before Sans can react.

Staring at the door Frisk left through, Sans puts a hand to where his heart would be. "i'm so proud." But with a sigh, he gets back to work.

It turns out spring cleaning is a lot of work.
