I do not apologize for what you are about to read. you know what day it is, so don't act surprised. It was literally in the title. so have fun with that.
The first time they met, they didn't think they would be a couple. Although, you don't think that anytime you first meet someone.
It wasn't the best way to say that how they met their future partner was through causing a scene at school. Granted that it was highschool, it was still humiliating to recall getting knocked out and carried upon meeting. Their highschool years, at first, were a pestering one-sided friendship that refused to be ignored. No matter what one did or tried, the other would be right there institing that they were friends. It wouldn't be until an unforgettable incident that refuses to be forgotten that the other would realize that they are indeed friends. That just by being by each other's side and actually listening; it made them both feel better after the horrid ordeal. Later in their high school years, they remain as close as friends can be. Ignoring how pleased to be by the other's side. How the play really brought everything to new light. Or how a kiss shared then, differs from another.
Words….words….love….words….words….words….words….words…..fight...words…. The moment that she said that she loved him, was the moment he could finally place what he felt to her a meaning. Despite that she admitted that she only said those words to spite Mack, to hurt him just a bit, that didn't change the way he felt about her. When he kissed her all those years ago in highschool, he buried his feelings because he didn't want anything to change between them. He didn't want to get in the way of her relationship with Mack. Sure he didn't think they made a good couple, but as long as she was happy he wouldn't ruin it. When he was staring down the creation that he built to rule the world, being carried by her aided by the other royals, he let it slip his feelings for her. As he plummeted to his supposedly death, he saw his life flash before his eyes and knew it wasn't spur of the moment confession to reign in more guilt. No what he felt was genuine, and knew that when they met again he would tell her again.
Words…. Words….love!
They had finally admitted what they had kept secret, no-buried, to each other.
