Somewhere in an Alternate Universe, 1943
Saturday Morning
"I'm telling you, Reinhard, Aster's sister is fit — luckily for him I barely know her!" Harry bumped elbows with the taller boy standing beside him, laughing as he noticed how the boy rolled his eyes at his remark.
"You're playing with fiendfyre, you are," Reinhard exaggerated as the boys turned a corner and ran straight into a gathering of Slytherin girls, one of them being the aforementioned one.
"So I'm fit, huh?" Druella's voice graced the ears of both boys and in one motion, they both looked to one another.
Harry raised his hands at the perfectly manicured eyebrow that was raised, "I was teasing Reinhard — I didn't mea- not to sound rude, obviously, you look wonderful! I, wel-"
Reinhard slapped an oversized hand over Harry's mouth as he bowed to Druella, "What Pev here is trying to say is… is…" the larger boy looked stumped for words and looking at Harry, motioned for him to go back the way they'd come from — Harry understood the signal and as one, both boys turned on their heels to flee the none too amused looking Druella.
Whether it be a stroke of misfortune or an extremely subtle cast jinx that he'd not felt, Harry fell over after barely taking a few steps. Reinhard looked over his shoulder, already halfway down the hall they'd come from and looked to be debating a return to help his fallen friend. Harry knew the consequences he'd face from calling a witch fit shouldn't be too bad, especially considering he had Elaine's protection to some degree and mouthed the word 'go' to his guilty by association friend.
Giving credit where credit was due, Reinhard looked to debate returning even after being permitted to flee, but the looks given from the girls standing over Harry must've proven themselves too menacing as he finally ran the remainder of the way down the hall. With his exit, Harry was left to the fate of whatever the girls had in store for him.
"Boys, always so dramatic — honestly why'd you run?" Druella sounded amused as she levitated Harry to his feet and pulled him close to her, rubbing debris from his shoulders before pulling back with a huff, "I hope you run better than that when you need to, Peverell."
Harry was stunned into silence, not knowing what to say as the girl with her great many friends laughed at her words.
"Well, aren't you going to say anything Harry?" one of- Greengrass! He remembered her face, she was Ophelia Greengrass, blimey was he in for it or what.
"Sorry?" He said, the word sounding like a question even to his ears.
Druella sighed theatrically, "Sorry for calling me fit?" she did a little spin, causing him to follow her very feminine figure which elicited a round of giggles from the girls that surrounded him, "I rather like the compliment, though I think I'd like it more had you not worded it so crassly."
Harry didn't know what to say, but upon seeing the look she was giving him along with a motioning from her hands, he put together she wanted an actual compliment instead of the one she'd overheard. He supposed he could do that, the girl did have quite a few… attributes, that could make a boy go mad for her.
"You have wonderful hair, uh… and you have great eyes?" Harry knew he sounded mental, but Druella continued motioning for him to get out more and so he did, somewhat, "You're beautiful?"
That caused her to raise her eyebrow as she'd done before, "Is that so?" She drawled.
Another round of giggles struck his ears and finally, one of the girls had mercy on him, saying "Oh Morgana, leave him be Druella — he's already made a fool of himself,"
Ophelia Greengrass shook her head, "No, I don't think he has, besides, what other form of entertainment is there?"
Druella turned to her friends, telling them to 'knock it off, before you get into it again', allowing Harry to take a few steps back while considering another attempt at fleeing.
He was just about to make his break for it too until he felt an arm go around his shoulders while he was pulled into a soft body.
"Oh no, you're not leaving yet Peverell, not until I get what I'd like from your little comment," Druella said that with a hint of something in her tone that he couldn't place.
Harry wasn't sure whatever it was nefarious, but he knew there was no getting away from her right this moment and asked defeatedly, "What is it you want?" he raked his brain for any clue and added a second later, "I'll prank Aster for you!"
Evidently, that wasn't what she wanted based on the disappointed sigh and light tap of her knuckles on his forehead, "I care not for childish pranks or shenanigans, I'd like something far more… intimate — yes that's the word, I want you to take me to Hogsmeade the next weekend it's up,"
"What?"
"What!?"
Harry had asked it in a dazed tone, the surrounding girls had all asked it incredulously.
Druella laughed to herself as she pulled Harry alongside her down the Hallway, eventually looking down at him, "Is it too much to ask for a date with the famous Heir of House Peverell? I know you find me attractive, after all, wouldn't you want to see if we're compatible?"
He wasn't sure what was happening and he had the feeling that it could backfire horribly, but he shrugged while putting on a hopefully confident smirk.
"Hogsmeade and we forget this happened?"
Druella tapped him on the nose as you would a pet.
"Yes."
That was that, Harry had made a deal with Aster's sister for a date… now he had to figure out how to tell the boy what he'd done.
Next Hogsmeade Trip, 1943
Saturday Afternoon
"Peverell, you made it," Druella remarked as he entered into the restaurant she'd chosen — that being a recently opened English serving kitchen.
"Did you think I wouldn't show?" Harry asked as he slid into the seat across from the girl, glancing down only briefly at the menu before deciding on a full English breakfast.
Druella shrugged and leaned forward, resting her hand on one of her hands as she gazed at him, "I knew there'd be some sort of internal debate that you'd have with yourself — what with Elaine admitting her interest in you and Corene always hovering about,"
"Corene doesn't like me, as for Elaine, I've made no promises to her," Harry was quick to respond as he leaned in just as she'd done, not wanting to back down any more than he already had in their prior meeting.
Rather than show any signs of intimidation or respect as he might've hoped in the latter's case, Druella did the infuriating thing of raising one of her eyebrows as she briefly lowered her gaze to his lips and then back to his eyes.
"Think what you will, Harry, I know girls well enough to say that they're both infatuated with you," Druella brought up one of her hands and flicked his nose, "You'd better not play with their emotions too much, especially Elaine's — she can be quite… ruthless, at times,"
Harry pocketed that information and made to respond, but he was unable to as their food arrived; the waitress floating over two trays packed mostly with his order.
His food was put in front of him and a portion off to the side, Druella glancing at it in wonder briefly while she had a simple meal of soup with some fresh looking bread and sliced tomatoes.
Taking advantage of the pause he'd left, Druella motioned to the food in front of him, "Best tuck in, then you can take me on a walk around Hogsmeade like the gentleman I hear you are."
Harry nodded at her words, only realizing that she'd gossiped about him to some degree a few seconds after the girl had begun eating.
"Thank you for allowing me to try a portion of your meal, Harry, you're as well-mannered as I've heard," Druella complimented him as she patted his head, the act bothering him as it made him feel childlike next to the taller, older girl.
"Yeah, anytime, though I do wonder who you've spoken with me about," Harry replied to her as he covertly took a few steps back from the girl — the two now being outside the restaurant and on a small path around the village.
Druella smirked at his attempt to leave her side and wrapped an arm around his shoulders as she replied to him.
"With Riddle of course, who else would I speak to in regards to you?" she held up a hand to stop him from speaking as she saw he was about to, "Before you say Corene or that Hufflepuff girl you occasionally spend time with — Corene refuses to speak with almost anyone about you and that Hufflepuff girl is never alone enough for me to corner,"
Harry allowed the girl to lead them ever so slowly back towards Hogwarts, forsaking the carriage ride in favour of a nice relaxing walk as he thought up his response without a feeling of urgency.
At least not until she began rubbing his hair annoyingly while a teasing look settled on her face, the girl likely wanting him to snap at her as she toyed with him — he'd not do so purely to avoid giving her what she wanted.
"I hadn't thought about it like that, though it seems like you've tried already," Harry looked slightly up at her, locking his eyes with hers, "That interested in me, are you?"
He'd figure the girl would laugh at his words or have some other outward expression to show she was playing with him — the last thing he was expecting was for her to abruptly look away and cease her rubbing of his hair.
"I suppose I am," she admitted, looking back to him when he stopped and almost caused them both to trip, "Is it that surprising? We're both 'fit' as you may call it and we're both from Pure stock, it's not wrong to think we'd go very good together,"
Harry had the tables turned on him and in response, he was the one to break their eye contact as he looked anywhere that wouldn't have Druella in his field of vision.
Surely she was jesting?
"I hadn't thought you'd have a sense of pranking as Aster does," Harry replied when he'd finally gained his voice back — the process taking a few moments.
Druella used her free hand to turn his face back until he was back to looking in her eyes again, the girl's expression was mostly serious with an ounce of a look that made him uneasy.
"My words weren't a prank, Harry," Druella pushed him against a tree right as they'd begun to pass it, her voice changing to seductive as she imitated the way Elaine would say his name.
"Elaine wo-" Harry tried to use Riddle as means of escape, forgetting what he'd said only an hour earlier.
Druella hadn't.
She cut him off with a wave of her newly freed hand, "I haven't forgotten the words in which you spoke earlier…" Druella moved closer to him still, her warm breath blowing over his face with every exhale, "I could show you all sorts of wonderful things about Magic, maybe we could add in a few broom cupboards to our lessons too…"
Harry felt himself flush at the insinuation, never in a million years would he have thought Aster's sister would be so forward.
"I, uh, well… you see, you're really fit, I thi-"
Druella sighed and pulled him the last few inches until they were snogging — that was the last thing Harry cared to recall on that particular evening.
