Hello there.

If I was asked "Why would you even think about writing... 'this'?" Then I would answer with:

FFN is the Dark Abyss of wish-fulfillment and depravity, so I thought "Should I write something that would just add to that steaming pile of bullshittery?... Why the hell not?" so here we are now.

This will be mostly re-telling, so if you want to complain about me following the story for no good reason, or about not bringing anything original to the Fandom, then I suggest you go away now before reading and getting all butt-hurt.

Disclaimers:

-I don't own Arifureta, if I did then I wouldn't be here writing fanfiction.

-I also don't own any of the songs I'll suggest as background music, but I think that's fairly obvious.

"Talking." - Talking.

'Thinking.' - Thinking when ended with a (. ! ? etc.).

'Emphasizing' - Emphasizing when ended without a (. ! ? etc.).

"*Cough*" - Sounds (Coughs etc.)

[Skills] - Skills etc.

Chapter 1: Tutorial (Prologue)

It was a normal day... well as long as you ignore the fact that it wasn't, currently 2 people were running away from a herd of albino dinosaurs all of which had a cute little flower sprouting from their foreheads... I'm not making that up.

"You said you have a plan!" a female voice could be heard.

"Yeah! It was to run away!" it was answered by a male's voice.

"What kind of half-assed plan is that!?"

*Record scratch* *Freeze frame*

Yep, that's me. No, not the vague figure you're currently imagining now from the near zero amount of information I've given you, and no, I'm not the blonde haired Loli who's covered only by an oversized shirt she's wearing. I'm the edgelord of the two, the one with snow-white hair, blood red eyes, wearing dark boots, pants and fingerless gloves with a coat which was almost completely red due to all of the blood it soaked, said coat also had one of it's arms ripped off, and I was wearing no shirt underneath the coat, overall my entire outfit was screaming "EDGE!" all the while resembling a certain Devil Hunter's attire.

*Resume*

"Hey, as long as it's working!"

We then continued to nimbly avoid the Jurassic Park themed pursuers that kept chasing us.

'How did this happen?' I hear you ask, and well... it all started on a Tuesday...

A long time ago on a Tuesday.

'Man I'm bored.' thought a veteran loner whilst lying on his bed, yep that's also me.

'Time to browse Reddit.' I took out my phone and began browsing the social media in hopes of killing some time, but then I suddenly got a message on it.

'Huh. That's weird... I barely have any friends, especially on Reddit.' sadly that's the truth, but since I was so bored I decided to check it nonetheless.

It's contents were:

From: u/xXx_I\ROB_Official/I_xXx

(Are you dissatisfied with your current life?)

"...Hehe." I couldn't help but chuckle at this.

'Well... no harm in messing with him a little.' I decided to humor the Redditor to kill some time.

(Who isn't?) I answered with a rhetorical question and didn't expect a reply, but alas u/xXx_I\ROB_Official/I_xXx followed with yet another question.

(Would you choose to live another life if you could?)

I raised an eyebrow.

'Maybe he's just a weirdo?' I thought, starting to think that the one I was dealing with wasn't what you would call a 'normal' person... but then again redditors are a very special breed of humans anyway, so that shouldn't have been a surprise.

(Well duh. Who wouldn't?)

This kind of questioning continued for a while, so to keep things simple:

[Q - Question, A - Answer]

Q:(If you had to choose a life in another world, what kind of life would it be?)

A:(Definitely some kind of fantasy.)

Q:(Would you rather choose an unknown fantasy world, or one from an already existing series?)

A:(Definitely from an already existing series, preferably a completed one. I'd use my Foresight to make life easier.)

Q:(What series would you choose?)

Here I looked upon the collection of Ancient Tomes of Wisdom on my bookshelf and smiled once I saw a series I was particularly fond of.

A:(Arifureta)

Q:(Would you choose your life as an already existing character there, or a completely new one?)

A:(An existing one, preferably Hajime)

Q:(At what point in the story would you 'take over'?)

A:(Definitely after 'The Awakening', I wouldn't want to experience any of the pain from overcompensation.)

Q:(Would you change anything from the original setting?)

A:(Yeah, instead of Synergist I'd rather have something similar to The Gamer from... well 'The Gamer' Webtoon, albeit modified to be more convenient for me, and I'd rather keep both of my arms intact.)

Q:(Anything else?)

A:(Nah, I think anything more would be too broken.)

I then smiled as an idea struck me.

(BTW thanks bro, now I have an idea for a Fic.)

Fanfiction, love it, hate it, you most likely have something to say about it.

I used to hate it with a burning passion, I thought that it's pointless as nothing in a Fic would happen in the Canon, so what's the point? But after some time it became something of a 'guilty pleasure' of mine.

Also around the time I grew fond of Fanfiction, I realized that there's no point in being stuck up on only one perspective, as evident by my change of heart regarding Fanfiction, so that was also the time when most of my opinions grew weaker and weaker until eventually I stopped having any 'strong' opinions about almost anything.

As a side note, it wouldn't be my first fic, but a first one I'd plan out beforehand, as I already had 'written' one, but I bit off more than I could chew with it and I wasn't happy with what it turned out to be.

As I began making a first draft in my head, an ominous feeling filled my whole being as u/xXx_I\ROB_Official/I_xXx sent another message.

(Hope it will turn out better than "Commonplace? Please I'm Fabulous".)

'How did he?! No, he's got to be just making a wild guess.' the ominous feeling persisted for a while, and once it subsided I responded with feigning ignorance.

(Never heard of it.)

(Haha, funny you would say that, but no matter, good luck with whatever you plan to 'write'.)

(Thanks, I guess?)

After that u/xXx_I\ROB_Official/I_xXx stopped sending any more messages and I returned to having an existential crisis due to sheer boredom.

Few hours later.

Once it was around 10 PM I began getting ready to sleep, due to high-school being an absolute bitch, and once I was ready I proceeded to drift off into the dreamland.

Later.

Once I woke up I saw a beautifully shining rock, around the size of a basketball, in the ceiling and another bizarre thing was that I appeared to be in some form of closed off cave.

I smiled.

'A dream huh? Been a while since I had one.' aside from being something of a restless sleeper, I rarely have any kind of dreams, and it's even more rare for me to be able to tell that I'm actually in a dream.

I then clenched 2 fingers on my nose and tried to breathe in order to make myself aware that this is a dream except...

I couldn't breathe through my nose.

'The Hell?' this wasn't a good thing, suddenly finding yourself in an unknown location that isn't in a dream would make anyone surprised, the only natural response would be shock and/or panic.

But I felt neither, instead feeling a faint surprise at my current predicament, it was something like an offhanded "Oh yeah, that's apparently a thing.", I almost felt as if some outside force kept me from an all-out panic attack and it was slightly concerning.

I then took a better look at my surroundings and saw that the 'cave' I've been in was the size of a decently spacious room, it had several glowing sources of light scattered around the ceiling and walls(the basketball-sized rock was still there), but what was more important was that I found a small water source so I decided to check in it's reflection if anything happened to my body, after all I suspected a kidnapping and even if I'm not the most handsome man on the planet I wouldn't be surprised if something very wrong happened to me as I've been feeling a weird sensation ever since I realized I'm not in a dream, something akin to a pleasant warmth permeating my body.

What greeted my eyes was...

A tall(183cm) and well built young man around 17 years of age with snow-white hair, blood-red eyes and crimson tattoo-like veins spread across his body, wearing a blood-soaked coat and dark pants and boots with dark fingerless gloves.

It was the complete opposite of my usual 'husk of a person' look, and this was enough for me to feel some panic as I frantically searched for a phone in any of my pockets, I doubted that it would be there, as any kidnapper with half a brain would take it away, but I still searched for it to occupy my mind, and what surprised me was that I actually found it...

Or rather I found something that looked just like a phone, it was a 12cm by 7cm smartphone-looking silver plate.

The disappointment was immeasurable and my day was almost ruined, but something extremely bizarre(as if this day wasn't weird enough) happened.

[Help]

To use (Status Plate) say:

"Open Status"

I just blinked...

And blinked hard...

And blinked even harder...

And finally...

'What the hell?' I thought, finally noticing something weird about my vision.

'It's just like a game UI.' in the upper left corner of my vision I could see a few pieces of information.

Name: Hajime Nagumo

Level: 8

Title: [None]

HP: 100%

MP: 100%

'Hajime Nagumo?' I was understandably surprised, after all that was the name of the protagonist of Arifureta... or in other words a fictional character, so why did it said that? I decided to check out the 'Status Plate' to hopefully get some more information, and in a way I did.

"Open Status."

Hajime Nagumo Age: 17 Male

Level: 8

Job: The Gamer

Strength: 100

Vitality: 300

Defense: 100

Agility: 200

Magic: 300

Magic Defense: 300

Skills: Gamer's Spirit - Gamer's Body - The Game - Game UI - Class(Synergist, Monster Hybrid) - Inventory - Level Up(Uncapped) - Party - Music Player - Transmute - Mana Manipulation - Iron Stomach - Lightning Field - Language Comprehension

And then I remembered the 'conversation' I had with u/xXx_I\ROB_Official/I_xXx.

'Wait a minute. ROB? R O B? Random Omnipotent Being?' as I made that connection I was dumbfounded for a moment before my eyes widened in realization.

'I just got Isekaid.'

Getting Isekaid, it's every weebs wet dream however...

'How troublesome.'...I thought this while my lips curled into a smile.

You see, I wasn't your every day weeb, true I also dreamt of getting Isekaid, but I know myself better than anyone and I knew for a fact that sooner or later I'd get bored after the deed was done, but still the message I responded to for shits and giggles turned out to perhaps be one of the luckiest accidents to ever happen to me, so even though I know I'll probably get bored I still couldn't help but start laughing.

"Pfft... heHeHE... hahahahahhaha." a laugh escaped my mouth...

"HaHaHaHaHaHaHaHa!" ...and it was followed by an incredibly hearty laughter.

"HAHAHAHAHAH!—AAAAAGGHH!!" a laugh that would easily give Gilgamesh a run for his money was on it's way to join, but it was stopped as I felt a very painful headache.

Once the headache subsided I got another set of memories, these ones belonged to Hajime Nagumo.

Generally speaking almost everything went exactly the same as in the Novel, the changes started only after getting Status Plates.

Once Hajime's strange Job was revealed there were mixed feelings from the surrounding crowd.

The Knights and Meld stared in shock and awe at the boy who got a Job no one ever heard about, but there was some disappointment that he only had average stats.

The Bastard 4 began bullying Hajime, saying things along the lines of "Look at this guy, he's so addicted to Eroges that he became a Gamer!" and the like.

Aiko as usual fucked up hard by showing her own Status.

Some time after that Hajime began running some experiments to see what his Job was truly capable off and he had some success.

He found out that by gaining levels he can spend them on getting a new class... but the dumbass chose to spend his hard-earned level on Synergist class because he said, and I quote, "It sounded cool.".

Fucking chuuni bastard.

After that everything proceeded exactly the same as in the Novel, except Hajime started running away from The Claw Bear the moment it jumped over him which in turn saved his(or rather my) arm.

And now I'm here.

I watched the new memories like a movie, and once they finished I began thinking hard.

'How did he spend the levels on a new [Class]?' I tried with Status Plate, but there was no success, and since the return to my old world currently seems impossible(both because of my current predicament and because I didn't really want to return) I wanted to learn anything that could help me ensure my survival.

[Help]

To spend levels on a new [Class] focus on your UI and think about classes.

'Well that was helpful.' just like I was told I began focusing on the UI.

Class(Spare levels: 6):

Synergist(Common) Lvl 2

Skills: Transmute[Rank:D]

Monster Hybrid(Unnatural) Lvl 6

Skills: Mana Manipulation[Rank:E] - Iron Stomach[Rank:E] - Lightning Field[Rank:E]

'Something is wrong, I can feel it.' the UI showed that I'm Level 8, and yet doing basic math the whole number of levels was 14, as I was pondering about the reason, the ever helpful 'Guide' gave me an answer.

[Help]

[Class] and Class Skills can be gained by spending a level to unlock them, or by completing all of their requirements, also frequent use of Class Skills may result in [Level Up] of the Class.

'Okay, that's great... but why is one labeled (Common) and the other (Unnatural)?' I stopped trying to think about the possible reasons on my own, and instead decided to ask the ever helpful Guide.

[Help]

The rarity of a [Class] shows how many levels can be put into it:

-(Common/Uncommon) Max Lvl 15

-(Rare/Very Rare) Max Lvl 10

-(Epic) Max Lvl 5

-(Legendary/Unnatural) No limit.

Aside from that, Rarity also shows the relative strength of the [Class] The Rarer, The Stronger.

'...' I was speechless, after all The Guide said that (Unnatural) Classes don't have a limit, and I already had one from the get-go.

When I calmed down somewhat I decided to check more of my UI and focused on trying to make it appear as a whole.

'Holy shit! That's a lot!' my eyes were wide open, but the thing is that the UI was only in my head(or at least I thought it was), so if you saw me like that you'd definitely think I'm just some crazy lunatic.

'Okay, The first one is almost exactly the same as the Status Plate, but with [Title] which is pretty self-explanatory, and it's also without some skills, so I'll assume that those are the skills that belong solely to The Gamer Job, so how about explaining [Attributes]?'

[Help]

[Attributes] represent the relative strength of your body:

Strength - Represents Physical Prowess of the user, it also represents the Vitality and Strength.

Defense - Represents Physical Endurance of the user, it also represents Resistance to Damage.

Dexterity - Represents Agility of the user, it also represents the Speed and Reflexes.

Intelligence - Represents Intelligence of the user, it also represents the amount of Mana, as well as Mana Recovery and The Strength of the Spells.

Willpower - Represents Willpower of the user, it also represents the Resistance to Magic and Mind Altering Effects.

Luck - Represents the probability of things going in favor of the user.

There are 6 ranks(E, D, C, B, A, EX) of the attributes and they start out as E(The Lowest) and end at EX(The Highest).

'Simple enough. Now explain what [The Game] is please.' I politely asked my Guide.

[Help]

[The Game] shows additional methods of augmentation, based upon a video game.

My brain stopped working for a good few minutes, attempting to process what I just read.

Once I got a hold of myself I took a deep breath and asked...

'How do I add a game to the list?'

[Help]

Just think about it, but no original concepts can be added, and the end product may, or may not be, a bit simplified.

'Okay, Devil May Cry Series?' after I though about the game of The Wacky Wahoo Pizza Man I felt... absolutely nothing...

[Attention!]

Devil May Cry series has been added to [The Game] section.

...I felt absolutely nothing new, and yet [The Game] still added it.

The Game:

-Devil May Cry Series [Devil Arms] [Style] [Combos] [Colored Orbs] [Power Up Shop] [{Locked}Devil Trigger]

A deranged grin found it's way upon my face.

'I'm going to abuse this maliciously.' after I calmed down my deviant self I went back to investigating the rest of my skillset.

'I can guess what [Inventory] does, but how do I open it?'

[Help]

To access [Inventory] focus on opening it.

I had a blank look on my face.

'...No shit Sherlock.' however I did as instructed and started focusing, and eventually a screen appeared physically in front of me which showed a list of the things currently in my [Inventory].

Inventory:

-Starter Kit

I reached my hand into it and started searching for The Starter Kit, whatever that was.

I felt something, so I grasped it firmly and began pulling out(hehe).

What I pulled out could be best described as a glowing orb of white light.

It could have been considered a beautiful sight, but there was one major issue, that issue was...

'How do I use it?'

I think you can guess what happens now... that's right, my reliable Guide enlightened me.

[Help]

You have to focus on the starting gear you want.

'...I feel like there's a theme with this focusing, ah no matter, I GOTTA FOCUS.'

Choose:

Rebellion and Ebony and Ivory

Or

Red Queen and Blue Rose

It would appear that I get some starter gear from The Game on the list, which makes me wonder what would happen if I picked The Starter Kit before adding Devil May Cry Series or adding some other game instead.

I then focused on getting my Starter Kit.

'...It's a slight disappointment that I can't pick both, I guess my comment saying "It would be too broken" is going to haunt me.' I gave some thought into which one I should pick.

'The choice is obvious...' I then focused intensely on my choice of weaponry.

'Rebellion and Ebony and Ivory, simply because 2 guns are better than 1.' this simple thought process was what lead me to choosing my arsenal.

Once I made my choice the white orb in my hands began shining brightly before morphing into 2(technically 3) weapons:

-A massive sword with a heavy double-edged blade, notched on both sides near the tip, it's pommel being a single spike, the grip is plain, but the guard is skeletal, with a skull-design on each side leading to the rib cage from which the blade emerges; on one side of the blade, the skull is that of a human, while the other uses a horned demon skull and the crossguard is folded in against the ribs. That's Rebellion.

-A pair of modified Colt 1911 guns, a left-handed black one(Ebony) made for long-range targeting and comfort, and right-handed white one(Ivory) made for rapid firing and fast draw times.

'Thank God they're not the reboot versions.' I think, relieved that the version of the weapons I got was from the main series.

After that I put them on the ground and continued learning more about my skillset.

'Not much left, [Party].'

[Help]

[Party] allows you to create a link which allows for telepathic communication, as well as let's chosen people to reap the benefits of [Class] and [Level Up] albeit at a reduced scale.

At this point I wasn't even surprised about the brokenness of my ability, this series was supposed to be called 'Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest' and yet I'm definitely nowhere near the so-called 'Commonplace'... then again all kinds of ridiculous shit was happening later in the series, so I can at least take Solace in the fact that I have a heads up on LN Hajime.

'What will [Music Player] shock me with?' I sarcastically asked my ever-so-helpful Guide.

[Help]

[Music Player] allows to play music inside your head with only the name of The Artist and the Song's Title, you add them by, you guessed it, focusing.

My Guide apparently learned how to use Sarcasm.

'...Kinda pointless, but at least this one isn't OP.'

After that I asked my Guide to also explain The Gamer's skills and how much of The Gamer got carried over from the Webtoon:

Gamer's Spirit - makes your mind remain calm in most situations, just like you would be while playing a game, also prevents total mind control.

Gamer's Body - treats body like a game character's(Doesn't need to eat, drink, sleep, doesn't age, will survive any damage as long as some HP will remain etc.)

There is also a question "Well, if [Gamer's Body] makes you immune to hunger, then why did Hajime even eat monster meat?" I also asked this question and the answer My Guide gave me was that supposedly it was because of the fact that Hajime didn't have anything in [The Game] so [Gamer's Body] had nothing to borrow from.

But that also leads to another question "Why didn't he add any game to it?" and here the answer was...

...Data not found?

...Yes, my 'oh-so-helpful' guide couldn't answer that question.

Moving on.

Game UI - self-explanatory, but it can also create artificial circles for magic for some unknown reason.

The Game - already explained, but also has a few in-built game mechanics already(only simple ones though).

Class - already explained, but aside from that some Classes can also evolve after reaching their Max Lvl(with some exceptions).

Inventory - already explained.

Level Up - allows to gain exp points by killing enemies, it also stacks with Tortus's normal way of leveling, it's sub-skill [Uncapped] makes it so that there is no level cap for me.

Party - already explained.

Music Player - already explained.

Language Comprehension - self-explanatory.

My Guide also mentioned that I can turn on or off all of the skills and mechanics if I want to, but it's kinda pointless to turn any of them off if you asked me.

On another note, my Guide also confirmed that some of The Gamer's abilities got carried over from the Webtoon, but a little differently:

-I can't make a Protected Space(At least not yet) but The Guide said that I can still enter Secret Dungeons.

-I don't get attribute points for leveling up, so I can't increase them by adding points which means I have to manually increase them(things like: learning for Intelligence, physical training for Strength etc.)

-I can learn Skills in a similar way(Both books and through constant repetition, and intense effort will increase the chances of getting a skill) and some Skills can also evolve after surpassing EX Rank.

-Titles have Passive and Active effects, Passive ones work all the time and Active ones only work when The Title is currently selected.

-The Quest System is practically the same, except there is no time limit for most quests(you know... for convenience)

-The Mastery of Skills works similarly, but instead of numerical values it's displayed as (E, D, C, B, A, EX).

Those are the only ones I could get an answer about, so there may, or may not be some more changes I'm unaware of.

I rubbed my forehead, this was a long(not really) and mentally exhausting day, so I decided to go to sleep, or rather to take a nap(despite the fact that I already woke up from sleep), on the rocks... the thing is that rocks are quite hard, I know shocker, so I just lied there on the hard floor, taking as much rest as possible, but not before thinking...

'This is going to be fun for a while.' I smiled as I closed my eyes to give my mind some rest...

Would you like to [Wait]?

...I got brought out of my attempt at resting by a pop-up.

I raised an eyebrow.

'What is it, Skyrim?'

[Attention!]

Skyrim has been added to [The Game] section.

The Game:

-Devil May Cry Series [Devil Arms] [Style] [Combos] [Colored Orbs] [Power Up Shop] [{Locked}Devil Trigger]

-Skyrim [Skill Trees] [Crafting(Smithing, Enchanting, Alchemy)] [Waiting] [{Locked}Shouts] [{Locked}Standing Stones]

Instead of adding all of The Elder Scrolls Series [The Game] only added a few of Skyrim's mechanics, it could be due to the fact that I'm only really familiar with Skyrim as a game(or because I only thought 'Skyrim'), but I know most of the other games stories, so I guessed that [The Game] is only adding games whose mechanics are somewhat familiar to me(I'll have to do some tests to confirm this later on), which while somewhat limiting, is still plenty Overpowered.

Or in Todd Howard's words:

"It just works."

'Thank God there is no tutorial.' an idle thought came into my head and regrettably I was wrong about it.

[Attention!]

Initiating Tutorial...

'What?! No, stop it!'...I was a little bit too late.

Tutorial Initiated

'Fuck!... Maybe it won't be too bad?' I think, hoping that it won't be an insultingly simple tutorial, unfortunately though...

[Tutorial]

To move around, move around.

I had a blank look on my face.

'...I'm not sure what I was expecting.' I am an adamant believer that tutorials can go suck a dick(especially if they are as outrageous as this one), but if tutorial is explaining a mechanic unique to the game, or when the game's keybinding is a little different from the usual, then(and only then) I won't mind it.

But for fuck's sake! Who thought a tutorial should explain how to move when almost EVERY! SINGLE! GAME! has EXACTLY! THE SAME! KEYBINDING BY DEFAULT!

And do you know what was the worst part?...

[Tutorial]

Congratulations!

You have successfully moved around.

After 'successfully' moving around for a bit I was about to learn another 'intellectually demanding' task... note my sarcasm.

[Tutorial]

To jump, jump.

A vein was bulging on my head, as I noticed that I can't move my body around anymore.

'The audacity! What's next?! Teaching me how to punch?!' the worst part about this tutorial was that it wouldn't let me perform any other action than it told me.

[Tutorial]

Congratulations!

You have successfully jumped.

And this is what was next in line for me after jumping.

[Tutorial]

To punch, punch.

"AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!" I released a shout filled to the brim with unforgiving rage because I was, understandably, starting to get a little bit annoyed by this tutorial.

[Attention!]

[Intimidation] skill has been acquired.

[Attention!]

Requirements for the [Berserker] class have been met.

New [Class] has been unlocked.

There was no way I could have known this, but at the same time I shouted, all of the Monsters, and I mean ALL of the Monsters(yes, including The Claw Bear) started running away from that area due to the sheer amount of malicious intent being released.

After completing The Tutorial

I was taking in deep breaths to calm down my unforgiving rage.

"...Never... Again..." I said out loud, which is unusual for me as I'd rather spend extra 5 minutes of thinking if I should say anything than say something without thinking, so I believe it just serves to show that The Tutorial was, let's say... 'Spiritually Taxing'.

Putting aside the insulting simplicity of The Tutorial, it actually taught me a few 'useful' things I had no possible way of knowing about(note my Sarcasm):

-How do I get [Colored Orbs]? (From Monsters or [Power Up Shop])

-How does [Power Up Shop] work?(By using Red Orbs)

There were even more things like these...

'Wow! It's almost like I didn't know any of it from, let's say... playing the game they were based off of!'

Actually putting aside my mocking of The Tutorial, it taught me how to put all of these things into practice, so I guess it wasn't a total waste of time, just 'mostly' a waste of time.

After being done with all of the tutorial bullshit I started trying to learn some skills I could while still being inside of the closed off cave.

This is what I learned after maybe an hour or two.

Perception[Rank:E] - gives a short description of anything you look at(It's basically [Observation] from The Gamer Webtoon).

Yes, I could learn only one skill after all of the time I spent... I don't even know how this works anymore.

After that I moved onto Magic, or rather other Skills because I remembered LN Hajime had zero affinity for proper magic, and I also started focusing from the get-go because I anticipated that would be what my Guide would say.

'Okay I'm focused. What now?'

[Help]

Now focus on whichever Skill you wish to use.

'*Sigh* Easier said than done.' before I could start thinking about what Skill I wanted to try out, this happened...

Do you want to turn on [Magic Assist]?

I blinked in confusion.

'...Why is it turned off by default?'

Because Skills with [Magic Assist] turned on can't be brought to their full potential.

'Hmm... so it's like aim assist in games, in that it could never be as precise and responsive as when a veteran player does it?'

Yes, precisely.

'Fine, then turn it on. I'll figure out how to use them on my own later.'

[Attention!]

[Magic Assist] is now turned on.

After much thought I decided that the first skill that I'd use would be [Transmute].

'Now what?'

[Magic Assist]

[Transmute] has been selected, to activate it say the skill's name out loud.

My mind felt as if it became fixed almost entirely on one thing, that thing being [Transmute] skill.

'I guess this is what The Guide meant when it said that it can't be brought to it's full potential.' if [Magic Assisst] would make your mind focus solely on one thing then no wonder that no skill or spell would be able to be brought to it's full potential.

'I'd like to remedy that as fast as possible, but for now...'

"[Transmute]." I said the name of the skill out loud and as soon as I did, red currents of electricity started flowing around me, and on both of my gloves appeared a crimson red circle with a weird design.

I extended one of my hands towards a wall and thought about changing it's shape, as soon as I did, a portion of the wall began morphing into various shapes, I didn't think about any particular shape so I guessed that 'random' was the default setting.

I stopped thinking about anything, and once I did the red current of electricity and crimson red circles on my gloves disappeared, and since I deactivated them, the wall also stopped morphing.

'Turn [Magic Assist] off.' I gave a mental command.

[Attention!]

[Magic Assisst] is now turned off.

I had a stupid-looking grin on my face.

'I just used magic... well technically a skill that uses magic, but that's not the point.' the dream of every single weeb, nerd, or whoever else wanted to use magic has been fulfilled for me so I was pretty ecstatic.

'Now, to put my newfound power to use.' I then looked in the direction of the basketball-sized rock and used [Perception].

[Perception]

Divinity Stone - A crystal capable of storing vast quantities of Mana, after hundreds of years it may begin secreting a healing liquid called Ambrosia.

After confirming that the big rock is in fact The Divinity Stone I began making my way towards it, but before I started excavating it with [Transmute] a thought occurred to me.

'Minecraft.'

[Attention!]

Minecraft has been added to [The Game] section.

The Game:

-Devil May Cry Series [Devil Arms] [Style] [Combos] [Colored Orbs] [Power Up Shop] [{Locked}Devil Trigger]

-Skyrim [Skill Trees] [Crafting Skills(Smithing, Enchanting, Alchemy)] [Waiting] [{Locked}Shouts] [{Locked}Standing Stones]

-Minecraft [Crafting] [Alchemy] [Enchanting(Experience)] [Drops] [Mining] [Building] [Survival]

Immediately after [Minecraft] was added I started to feel some hunger, so I turned on and off each of it's features to see which one was responsible, and it was [Survival] so as soon as I learned about it I kept it turned off.

After that I used [Transmute] to mine out The Divinity Stone, and once it was fully excavated I stored it in my [Inventory] for now.

'Now, what should my next objective be?' I sat down and began thinking on what I should do next, and since I'm not exactly in a rush to do anything I wanted to carefully think out my next move.

'I don't really see a reason to not follow the LN events, but then again I see no reason to follow them either...'

'I'd like to get my hands on Ancient Magics, but I know that would attract quite a bit of attention, which would inevitably lead to conflict with that prick Ehit.' I began thinking hard on the pros and cons of going after Ancient Magic and after I was done...

'Hmm... now that I think about it Ehit will eventually end up fucking everyone over if he's not stopped, or rather if he gets in the way of my goals I'd be forced to engage in battle and for any chance of winning I'd need a lot of power, so the only conclusion is that I have to collect Ancient Magics whether I like it or not.'

'Now, how much should I change from the Novel, if anything at all?... Not much reason to stray 'too much' from the Canon events, but nothing is stopping me from getting thoroughly prepared for them using my Foresight.'

'Another matter... Yue, should I free her or not? She and The Hero are candidates to be Ehit's vessel, but between the two of them Yue would be a worse case scenario for an opponent due to her [Automatic Regeneration]... and I should also be prepared for the eventuality that I'd also be a candidate due to the sheer amount of adaptability my skillset has.' I thought hard about whether or not I should free Yue, and I decided that...

'If God exists and decides to send me to Hell, I want him to hesitate for a second.' in the end I decided that I'd free her, if only to kill my boredom and also because it would be kind of a dick move to not free her when I get the chance.

'If I'm going to unseal her then I also have to keep her true identity from becoming known, which means I'd probably have to kill Freid when I get the chance...' I stopped my line of thinking as I noticed something.

'Huh? It's weird thinking so calmly about killing someone, even if I were to think of him as nothing more than a fictional character(and an annoying one at that) this line of thinking shouldn't come so easily, I guess it's thanks to [Gamer's Spirit] and I'd have to get used to it soon, or else(even with my Power) I won't survive for long, but it will take some time getting used to it.'

'Moving on. I have [Skill Trees] from Skyrim, so assuming I'd have more freedom over Magic than in game, I could level up Illusion to hopefully make an Artifact that could change her appearance, and I'd also have to find a way to prevent mind reading otherwise even if I tried my hardest there'd still be a small chance of her identity becoming known to Ehit.'

After some time of thinking about how I should approach the matter of freeing the vampire Loli I got a notification.

[Mission]

Yes/No

'Hehe, seeing as I literally have nothing better to do, why not?' I then focused and gave a mental command accepting the Quest/Mission.

Mission Accepted.

'But before I set out on my quest I first need to channel my inner Cautious Hero and get thoroughly prepared.' I think this while getting ready to do some push ups, sit ups, squats and drinking plenty of Ambrosia.

End Chapter

The time has come and so have I.

I read all of the main story for Arifureta and am currently at Ch 192 of the Web Novel and this is how I'm feeling about The Afterstory so far.

"What the fuck am I reading?" - Josuk8, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 8(JoJolion)

But I'm still enjoying it.

I would like to give a heads-up about POV... I'm going to stick with First Person for now and sometimes switch into Third Person(mostly when the MC isn't present) and I may switch entirely into Third Person in the future, but that's only when I'm comfortable enough with it.

On another note:

Thanks to anyone who made it this far through this sorry excuse of a fanfiction, now I have a few things to say:

1. I'm not going to post chapters regularily, I'm going to post them as soon as I think they're satisfactory enough, which as you may have guessed will vary in time.

2. I barely take suggestions, but feel free to leave them(Go nuts in reviews).

3. I'll respond to reviews in PM's, unless you're guest, I have some problem with it, the answer to the question is important enough, or you have anonymous reviews turned on(I'm not going to go that extra mile for you)

That would be all, thanks once again for reading this far.
