After the case got over, Abhijeet heads towards beach and looks for the lonliest place, away from all the hustle bustle. He sat on a rock and looked blankly towards the sea. No, he was not crying, tears were not flowing from his eye but his heart was crying. Yes, he was suspected before too, many times but he was never humiliated like this before, he never become pawn to catch the culprits like this before cuz he was blamed to kill his brother, HIS DAYA , how could they thought this. He can give his life for him, but can never ever hurt him, neither in his dream nor even unintentionally. After getting blamed of killing Daya, he was shattered. He recalled the words Dr. Salunkhe said to him, "gandi naali ka keeda", "gandi machhli jo poore talaab ko ganda kr deti hai" , Abhijeet tum CID officer banne layak nhi ho", " Daya ko maar ke ab yadaasht jaane ka natak kr rhe ho". His words pierced his heart. But he was more shattered to know that ACP sir knew everything still he didn't utter a single word in his defense, in fact he used this as opportunity to catch the criminals. How could he? They made a joke of him in front of all the juniors. His heart was paining badly but there was not a single drop of tear in his eyes. Though he lost his memory long time ago, he even lost his mother because of that still he handled himself quiet well. But this time he was shattered. Everyone thought he didn't mind all this cuz he was behaving normally but he knew how hardly he managed himself for the sake of his duty, for the sake of his nation. He kept his emotions aside and behaved professionally because many lives were in danger, he can't let his emotions ruin his work/duty. He wanted to cry now but don't why tears are not coming.
He was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't even realized the presence of someone beside him, until the person kept hand on his shoulder and called him, " Abhijeet ", hearing this soothing voice he closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
He looked at the person and asked, " Tarika tum yaha"…..{ yes that was Tarika :p my story is incomplete without abhirika isiliye unke scenes to honge hi :D }
Tarika : Hmmm… mai janti thi tum yahi miloge.
Abhijeet : Bas kuch der akele baithna chahta tha, bahut thak gya tha case ki wajah se.
Tarika : (rudely) Really, kisse jhooth bol rahe to tum. Kaise kar lete ho Abhijeet, itna sab hone ke baad bhi kisi ko kuch nahi kaha tumne. Salunkhe sir or ACP sir se aisi umeed nahi thi mujhe. Aaj Salunkhe sir ne bahut zyada hi bol diya, how could he blame you aur ACP sir vo sab kuch jante hue bhi chup rahe. Shreya ko to kya hi bolu usne to hadh paar kar di, himmat kaise hui uski tumhe arrest krne ki. Mana ki ACP sir or Salukhe sir bade hai but Shreya ko bhi kuch nhi kaha tumne.
Abhijeet : Mai Shreya se naraz nhi hu Tarika. Haan mujhe pehle gussa aya tha par uski aankhon mein maine whi dard or darr dekha Daya ke liye jo hamesha maine mehsus kiya hai Daya ke liye. Uske liye vo kuch bhi kar sakti hai ye pta chala mujhe. In sab mein ek yahi to cheez acchi hui hai ki mujhe mere bhai ke liye saccha hamsafar mil gya. Haan par Dr sahib or ACP sir se narazagi zaroor hai. Mai chah ke bhi unke baaton ko kabhi nhi bhula sakta. Vo aisa soch bhi kaise sakte hai ki mai…( sighs… and then aggressively said ), ki mai apne bhai pe goli chala sakta hu. Iten saalon se jaante hai mujhe phir bhi…. Or Acp sir sach jante hue bhi chup rahe. Mujhe waise hi kuch yaad nahi aa raha tha aur kitna guilty mehsus kr raha tha or mann me ek darr tha ki kahi maine sach mein maine Daya ko to goli to nahi mari pr unhone to uss baat ka fayda uthaya. Vo mere emotions ke saath kaise khel sakte hai, areyy kisi or ko naa sahi mujhe to bta sakte the mai madat krta unki, koi rasta nikalta pr aisa kyun kiya mere saath.
Tarika : Jante ho Abhijeet, isme thodi si galti tumhari bhi hai. Jab jab tum par galat ilzaam lge tumne kabhi kuch nahi kaha na ilzaam lgane pr or na innocent prove hone ke baad. Sbne for granted liya hua hai tumhe, tum kyu kisi ko kuch nhi bolte, kyu khud ko defend nhi krte. Kya tumhe lagta hai tumhare saath hue hadse ke baad tum dobara duty join krne ke kaabil nahi the, ACP sir ne ehsaan kiya tum pr tumhe apni team me le ke. Why you think low about yourself?
Abhijeet : Shayad tum theek keh rahi ho, ab bahut hua. Iss baar jo hua jo hua uske liye mai kisi ko maaf nahi krunga. Ab sirf professional relations rahenge, no personal relations. ( he said harshly) Maine sbko apna mana, parivaar ka sadasya samjha, sbke sukh dukh mein saath khada raha pr mera saath kisi ne nahi diya…. and he broke down," why always me Tarika, why me", Tarika engulfed him in a hug and tried to calm him down. After he calmed down a bit, she gave him water bottle to drink some water.
Tarika : feeling better?
Abhijeet : hmmm….
Tarika : Ek baat saamjh lo Abhijeet, agar tum khud ke liye stand nahi loge to log bhi tumhare liye stand nahi le payenge. Har baar, har jagah mai or Daya nahi honge na Abhijeet.
Abhijeet : Don't worry Tarika, iss baar mai pehle wali galti nahi krunga.
Tarika : Good. Chalo ab ghar chalte hai, Daya wait kr raha hoga tumhara.
Tarika dropped him at his house. He was going to ring the bell but Daya opened the door before that.
Daya : Kaha reh gaye the boss, ghar aane mein itna late kyun kiya?
Abhijeet : Kuch nahi bss aise hi Tarika ke saath tha. Case ki wajah se time nahi de paya tha na usey.
Daya : (calmly) Mujhse jhooth bol rhe ho boss, tum beach pr the na. Iss case ki wajah se tumhe kitna kuch sehna pada. Bhale hi tum normally behave kro pr mujhse apna dard nahi chupa sakte tum.
Daya hugged him tightly and began to sob. " I am sorry bhai, meri wajah se kitna kuch sehna or sunna pada tumhe. "
Abhijeet gently ruffled his chhotu brother's hair and said, " teri wajah se kuch nahi hua samjha. Tu to khud itni takleef me tha mere bhai. Daya idhar dekh meri taraf, cases me ye sab hota rehta hai na. haan iss baar kuch zyada ho gya but pareshan mat ho iss baar tera bhai khud ke liye stand lega. Tu itne din kidnap tha or goli bhi lgi thi, un logo ne kuch khane peene ko pta nahi diya hoga ya nahi."
Daya : ( making faces ) pta nahi boss kaha se laate the khana ek dum bekaar hota tha… yuck.
Abhijeet : Bade hi bekaar kidnappers the yrr, unko pta hi nahi jise kidnap kiya hua hai usko khane mein kya pasand hai, pta nahi kaha se khana le kr aate the. Chalo mana unko nahi pta to tujhse hi pooch lena chahiye tha na ki Daya ji aapko kya pasand hai whi le aata hu mai.
Daya : boss tum mazak uda rahe ho mera. Huh baat hi nahi krni tumse.
Abhijeet : (chuckled) ho gyi nautanki shuru. Chal aaja, aaj tujhe apne haathon se khana khilaunga, waise bhi aaj tera favourite bnwaya hai maine kaki ko bol kr. Hearing this Daya grinned ear to ear. Both the brothers finished their dinner by feeding each other and Abhijeet gives Daya his medicines.
Daya : boss aaj mujhe tumhare saath sona hai.
Abhijeet smiled at him and said," tu room me chal mai paani le kr aata hu."
Both laid down on the bed and Abhijeet was ruffling Daya's hairs.
Daya : (holding Abhijeet's hand) I missed you so much bhai, mujhe laga shayad iss baar tumse bina mile hi…. And closed his eyes tightly
Abhijeet : I missed you too mere chhotu motu bhai. Aur ek baat hamesha yaad rakhna, mere hote tujhe kabhi kuch nhi ho sakta. Chalo ab so jao. Baki baatein kal krenge.
Daya smiled sweetly and slept hoolding Abhijeet's hand. Abhijeet looked at his little brother and thanked his stars for sending Daya in his life, who can make him forget every pain and of course Tarika, who always stood by him in every situation.
Next day,
Daya : boss ye kya tum kitchen me lage hue ho, jldi jao ready ho jao. Pta hai na aaj holi hai, mera favourite festival. Freddy ke ghar jana hai humein.
Abhijeet : thodi shanti rakh Daya, or kitchen me khel nahi raha hu tere liye nashta bana raha hu. Maloom hai holi tera favourite festival hai pr thoda sa patience rakh, poora ghar sar pr utha rakha hai. Chal chup chap baith or nashta kar, mai ready ho kr aata hu.
Daya started to eat his breakfast like accha baccha cuz he didn't want to get scolded from his big brother. Meanwhile Abhijeet got ready for the holi party and came downstairs and join Daya for breakfast. After finishing their breakfast, Daya stopped Abhijeet and said," boss tum kuch bhool to nahi rahe ho."
Abhijeet : ( while moving towards his room) nahi to. Mai apna purse le kr aata hu phir nikalte hai.
Daya makes a sad face, how could Abhijeet forget to apply colour to him first but then smiled wickedly and plan to take revenge by pouring colour filled water bucket on him. As he turned to go towards him room, he suddenly heard Abhijeet voice, " aahhhh Dayaaa.." Daya immediately rushed towards Abhijeet's room, as he enters his room, Abhijeet throws colours on him and said smilingly, " bura na maano holi hai. Tujhe kya lga ki mai bhool gya, har saal tujhe hi pehle rang lgata hu to iss saal kaise bhool jata mere bhai."
Daya : ( came out from the shock and said laughingly) kya boss, mujhe laga tum bhool gye, isiliye tumko sabak sikhane ke liye mai apne room mein bucket mein rang ghol ke tum pr daalne ka plan bana raha tha pr tumne to meri chaal mujh pr hi chal di.
Abhijeet : (raising his colours) haan to tera bada bhai jo hu. Ab mujhe colour nhi lgayega kya.
Daya applied colour on him and hugged him and after locking the door, they went towards Freddy's house.
Freddy and his wife welcomed them both and thanked them for coming. All the juniors were already there and wished them. They also replied them with a smile. Then, Acp sir and Dr. Salunkhe came there, everyone wished them and applied colours. Abhijeet also wished them but very formally and went inside to drink water, he didn't even hug them. Everyone felt his anger especially the old duo. He was close to both of them, his smile brighten up the environment and how much he love to pull pranks, there's always a mischievous smile present on his face on holi because it is decided that someone will become target of his pranks on holi but today though he smiled but that was formal, he's there with them but standing silently, neither pulling any junior's leg nor cracking any jokes.
Old duo looked at each other with guilt in their eyes. They both knew how wrong they were. They didn't have the courage to go in front of him and apologise. They both knew how badly they hurt him this time.
Daya watching the expressions of old duo understand their condition, he went in front of them and said, " bahut bura lg raha hai na sir aap logo ko Abhijeet ka aisa behavior dekh kr. Uski chuppi se aap logo ko itni takleef ho rahi hai to ye sochiye aap logo ki un baaton se us pr kya beeti hogi. Sir zubaan se nikli hui baaton ki chhot mann pr lgti hai or bahut takleef deti hai, utni takleef to goli lgne k baad bhi nhi hoti jitni kisi ki baaton se hoti hai, tod ke rakh deti hai vo insaan ko. [old duo looked down with tears into their eyes]…. Mai janta hu aap logo ko apni galti ka pachtawa hai, vo andar hai sir use maafi maang lijiye or mere haste khelte bhai ko le ayiye, uske bina ye holi adhuri hai sir please.
ACP sir : haan Daya, galti ki hai to usko sudharna bhi pdega. Hum le kr aayenge apne purane Abhijeet ko wapis. Har saal ki tarah whi badhayega holi ki shaan.
Dr. Salunkhe : Maine bahut bura bartaav kiya usse to usey manaunga bhi mai hi. Chahe jo krna pade par uske chehre pr muskurahat mai le kr aaunga.
Old duo went inside and saw Abhijeet sitting on the dining table. Seeing his seniors coming towards him Abhijeet began to move from there but ACP sir stopped him.
ACP sir : Ruk jao Abhijeet. Mai janta hu tum naraz ho humse to gussa kro hum pr chahe to daant lo p raise muh mod ke mt jao beta. Tumhari narazgi bardasht kr sakte hain par tumhari chuppi nahi.
Dr. Salunkhe : bahut galat kiya hum dno ne tumhare saath, or maine to na jaane kitna kuch suna diya tumko. Chahe jo saza de do pr aise begaane mat bano.
They both fold their hands in front of him. ACP sir said with tears in his eyes, " please humein maaf kr do beta. Tum jo saza doge manzur hai humein bss humse dur mat jao. Maine zindagi me bahut kuch khoya hai yaha tak ki apna beta bhi par ab or khone ki himmat nahi hai. Apne pita ki akhiri galti samjh ke maaf kr do, kya kru beta duty ke aage kuch dekh hi nahi pata. Par aaj ehsaas ho raha hai ki mai hamesha sirf ACP ban ke nahi reh sakta, ek pita bhi hu mai. Nakul ke jaane ke baad tumne hi to phir se pita hone ka sukh diya tha.
Dr. Salunkhe : (in wet tone) mai wada krta hu Abhijeet aisa phir kabhi nahi hoga. Ek mauka de do humein apni galti sudharne ka, please maaf kr do.
Abhijeet got tears in his eyes seeing his seniors like that. They realized their mistakes is enough for him. He can't hurt them more, after all they are his father figures.
He hold the hands of both them and said, " sir badon ke haath ashirwaad dene ke liye uthe to accha lgta hai, aise maafi maangne k liye." after saing this he hugged both of them.
Seeing the environment getting very emotional Dr. Salunkhe said, " tum dono baap bête or kitne aansu bahaoge, rangon ki jagah aansu se hi holi khel lo tum dono." Hearing him, both of them chuckled.
Seeing Abhijeet laughing wholeheartedly Dr. Salunkhe kept hand on his head and said, " haste raha kro bacche, haste hue bahut acche lgte ho."
Abhijeet : sir bahar chalte hai holi khelte hai, sab wait kr rahe honge. Or na maine socha hai iss bar na Vivek pr prank krunga, janab ko bahut shaukh hai na prank krne ka ab jb uske saath hoga tb aayega asli maza.
Old duo nod their head and said laughingly, " Abhijeet tum kabhi nahi sudhroge."
Here Daya was waiting for three of them but when he saw they were taking so much time so he went inside and saw them laughing, so he said, " ye dekho, mai bahar pareshan ho raha hu or aap log yaha akele akele enjoy kr rahe ho. Pyaar hi nahi krta koi mujhse huh…."
Abhijeet : ye dekhiye sir, janab ki nautanki shuru ho gyi. Waise hi itna mota hai or jb jealous ho kr muh phula leta hai to or bhi phool jata hai. Old duo laughed hearing his comment.
Daya : boss tum na bahut bure ho, mai na Tarika se shikayat krunga tumhari.
Abhijeet : (rushed towards him) Daya mere pyare bhai mai to mazak kr raha tha. Tu bhi na khamkha seriously le leta hai meri baaton ko.
Daya laughed at Abhijeet expressions and said, " mai bhi to mazak kar raha tha boss, tum bhi meri baaton ko seriously mat liya kro."
Abhijeet : Daya ke bacche tu to gya aaj. He ran after him. While old duo smiled to see their old Abhijeet back.
While running, Abhijeet bumped into Shreya, she also apologized him.
Shreya : I am sorry sir. Mai apni harkat pr bahut sharminda hu. Mujhe aapke saath aisa nahi krna tha.
Abhijeet : its okay Shreya, mai tumse naraz nahi hu kyuki tumne job hi kiya Daya ke liye kiya. Mai janta hu ki tum usse bahut pyar krti ho or shayad tumse behtar partner usey or koi nahi mil sakta. Par ek baat hamesha yaad rakhna, jisse rishta jodna chahti ho to usse jude rishton ki kadar krna seekho. [Shreya nodded her head positively.] Accha mere saath chalo.
He took Shreya to a room and asked her to wait then after 2 minutes he came there with Daya.
Abhijeet : Mai janta hu Daya ki tu Shreya se naraz hai pr mai nahi hu kyuki shayad jo mai dekh paya vo kisi ne nahi dekha. Usne jo bhi kiya tere liye kiya, uska intention galat nahi tha. Daya tujhe yaad hai tune mujhse wada kiya than new year pr jo mai mangunga vo dega tu mujhe. Aaj mai kuch maangna chahta hu tujhse. { he kept Shreya's hand over Daya's hand }….. Mai chahta hu tu Shreya ko apna le. Zindagi mein aisa pyar krne wala bhagwaan sabko nahi deta.
Shreya looked at Daya with hope, while Daya closed his eyes and think that everyone should get one chance, though she did wrong but she did that for him and if his brother can forgive her and accept her then why can't he. He open his eyes and hold her hand tightly. Shreya smiled with happy tears in her eyes. Tarika came there with plate full of colours. Shreya went towards her and apologized to her also.
Shreya : I am sorry Tarika, maine tumhe bahut hurt kiya hai.
Tarika : Forget it Shreya. Haan mai pehle naraz thi tumse but jb Abhijeet ne samjhaya to mujhe uski baat theek lgi, isiliye mai tumse gussa nahi hu. She hugged Shreya.
Tarika : (naughtily) Daya ye colours yaha rakhe hai tum aaram se Shreya ke saath apni private holi khel sakte ho, pr thoda jldi bahar aa jana wrna sb sochenge ki kahi tum family planning me to nahi busy ho gye Shreya ke saath. Listening her comment Daya – Shreya blushed whiled Abhijeet chuckled.
Abhijeet : Baad me tang krenge Tarika inhe, filhal abhi chalte hai.
After abhirika left, Shreya asked Daya, " aap mujhse naraz to nahi hai na."
Daya nodded no and applied colour to her face and said smilingly, " hamari pehli holi Mubarak ho."
Shreya also applied gulaal to him and said, " aapko bhi " and then they hug each other and went outside.
In the kitchen, Abhijeet applied gulaal to Tarika and she also did the same and hug him. Tarika in hug," I love u Abhi," Abhijeet kissed her forehead and said, " I love u more my love."
Then they went outside taking all the eatable items prepared by Freddy's wife and began to apply colours on everyone. Vivek switch on the music system and everybody began to dance. [imagine the song played was Jai Jai Shivshankar from war].
While dancing Abhijeet looked around himself and watch everyone dancing with joy, he thanked god for giving him this beautiful family, where he has two father figures and they realized their mistake. He was happy for his littte brother who finally got his true love and of course Tarika is there by his side always. Nothing can be better than this.
Finally his life again get refilled with colours, even more this time, when he thought he lost everything. This holi beome more memorable for him as it splashed colour of love in his life and made all his relationships stronger.
सभी रंगों का रास है होली,
मन का उल्लास है होली
जीवन में खुशियां भर देती है,
बस इसीलिए ख़ास है होली।
