Prologue
Rosalie's POV
"Dr. Hale, the Board of director herein this hospital decided to sent you to Forks Washington to be their head of Neuron in that Hospital"
My heart beats faster and I can think straight when I heard my boss said that to me.
"But boss?!" I said then she cuts me off.
"No buts. Rose it is already decided you are the best surgeon in this Hospital and this means a promotion for you" she explained
"Please boss just pick other, I don't want to be back there" I begged
My boss stared at me strangely.
"I don't get you? Forks is your hometown, why is it that you don't want to get back?"
I didn't answer instead I just stared at her then I closed my lips.
"They are expecting you to arrive in their Hospital after 7 days so you better prepare all the things you need to prepare so that you won't leave anything behind"
After my boss said that she looked down again on her paperwork's then I left.
I never thought that one day I will return to Forks after all those years that had passed.
Chapter 1
Rosalie's POV
"Tristan" I called my little angel when I got home from the hospital.
After a few minutes I heard a little stomping of foot making their way towards me.
"Mommy!" He yelled.
"Hey baby!" I yelled back to him then he hugged me. After that I gave him a kiss on his cheeks.
"Have you been a good boy?" I asked
He nodded. "Yes! I ate all of my veggies today! You can ask Jane if you don't believe me" he explained proudly.
I looked at Jane who is the baby sitter of my little Angel and she just smiled at me.
"Yes he did. And he is a very good boy today" Jane said to me as she grabs her bag and she was about to leave.
"Jane stay here for dinner" I said trying to stop her from leaving the house too soon.
"I'm sorry Rose, but I had night class remember next time I'll eat here" she said causing me to stand up on the couch and walks closer to her so that I can explain to her all what happened in the hospital earlier.
She looked sad and she felt sad that Tristan and I were going to leave Rochester for Washington. Because she's been babysitting my Tristan since he was 1 yr. old and he is now 5 yrs. old.
After that I gave her the last payment of babysitting then she hugs me and Tristan then she left.
I locked the door of my house then I walked closer to Tristan who is busy now colouring his colouring book and I talked to him.
"Baby" I said as I stroke her dark curls
He looked at me for a second then he continued what he's been doing.
"We're leaving this house and we are moving to other house" I said then it caused him to stop colouring and too looked at me straight.
"Where are we going mommy?" He asked
"Where going to Forks' said then I continued "you're going to love it there because that place is beautiful"
When he heard the word beautiful the dimples on his cheeks form.
"Really mommy?!"
"Yes baby" I said then after that he hugged me.
"I'm I going to see daddy when we live on that house?" Tristan asked me while he is still hugging me.
My heart felt pain when I heard him asked that because even though I gave all my love to him he still longs for a love that I know only his dad can give.
Chapter 2
Rosalie's POV
it's already late at night when Tristan and I arrived in the house that were going to stay. I'm thankful that even though my boss didn't even asked me about this moving thing she manage to find me a house for me and my kid to stay in and to be honest I was impressed because the house looks good and it is fully furnished.
I carried Tristan to his room because he is now asleep in my arms. I laid him down carefully after that I took of his shoes and I put him on some blanket and I kissed him good night.
After that I went to my room and I took a shower. When I was done putting some clothes on my clothes I went to bed already and as soon as my head hit my pillow I fell quickly on deep slumber.
When the morning came I quickly got up to see my Tristan and there I saw he is still sleeping. I stared at him for a few good minutes before I went downstairs to prepare some breakfast. Thank God my boss is really nice that she even asked her secretary to buy me some groceries for me to use here for a few good days.
"Mom" I heard Tristan called me while he is making his way towards me as I placed all the pancakes that I prepared for him in the table.
He tugged the edge of my shirt then I picked him up and I seat him on the chair of the dining table.
"Did wash your face and brushed your teeth?" I asked as I gave him the glass full of milk.
He nodded then he continued to drink his milk.
After that I sat beside him and we had a happy breakfast together.
Tristan is busy flipping the page of his dinosaur books while I was busy unboxing all of our stuffs and placing them into the cabinets.
When all of a sudden a photo dropped on the floor causing me to pick it up. When I flip it over and I saw it tears are quickly starting to form on my eyes. It is the picture of me and Emmett in our black toga gown.
Chapter 3
Rosalie's POV
I finished unboxing and putting all of Tristan and my things in the cabinet. It almost took my whole day to finish it all by myself.
I let Tristan sleep beside me for tonight because I just missed him even thought we had been together for the whole day. I stared at my angel and I was busy giving him a kiss when suddenly a picture of Emmett appears on my mind. My heart beats faster not in pain but because of nervousness because it is the first time that I will see him tomorrow after 6 whole years.
The next morning came in like a snap of finger. I woke Tristan up and I washed him up. After that I put him some clothes and I helped him to put his rubber shoes on. When u was done preparing him. I gave him a sandwich and I let him eat on the edge of the bed while he is watching some TV. After that I took a shower quickly because I don't want to leave him all by himself even though I was just in the next room.
After that I put on some clothes and I put on some make up. After that I grabbed all my bags and envelopes containing all my files that I will be needing for today's interview; after that I took Tristan hands and we left the house.
When Tristan and I arrived in the hospital I cannot calm myself down because to be honest the hospital that I got exchange with was the Hospital that the Cullen's own. And I know it will be a very big miracle when I not bumped into one of them.
When I got into the counter I ask where my appointment will be and they gave me a direction. Before I went to the place where my interview will be I left Tristan in the children section in this hospital and I left my I.d at the people who is looking after them then I gave Tristan a hug and a kiss on the nose then I went to my meeting.
The interview went really great and now I am on my way to pick up Tristan again. I was busy putting on his shoes because the children's place don't let them wear shoes inside when someone called my name.
I picked Tristan up to arms before I turned around to see who it was and there I saw Jasper and Edward smiling at me with Emmett looking as Handsome as ever.
Chapter 4
Rosalie's POV
Earlier.
While I was on my way to the interview I was praying really hard that I will not bumped into one of the Cullen's or someone I know here in the hospital because to be honest I was not yet ready to see them.
When I arrived on the office without bumping into one of them I felt relieved and to be honest happy. That's why I think it helps me to answer all the questions that being asked on me confidently.
After my interview they congratulated me and they said that I just the screening for the Head doctors for Neuron that they were looking for. I thank them and I shook their hands gladly as a way pj saying my gratitude that they trusted me for the job.
As I walked out of the office again I quickly ran to the children's area where I left my little angel I almost ran so that I get him already so that we can get out of the hospital as early as possible. Not that I am hiding Tristan but I am not just ready to show him in every one here in Forks.
When I was putting on the shoes of Tristan I was literally shaking because of the nervousness I was feeling right now.
"Mommy why are we in a hurry?" My Tristan asked. But I just smiled at him and I continued to tie the laces of his rubber shoes.
A smile form on my face when I was done tying the laces of my son, but it is a quick rejoice because I heard someone called my name. It made me shut my eyes hard because actually I didn't know how to face that person who just called me.
So I calmed myself and I picked up Tristan up to my arms and I turned around and there I saw Jasper, Edward smiling at me when they saw that it is really me and Emmett is with them looking so handsome as ever he stared at Tristan and back up to Mr looking confused.
Chapter 5
Rosalie's POV
they walked closer to me Jasper and Edward gave me a kiss on the cheeks while Emmett just smiled weakly at me and he continued to stare at my son.
"How are you Rose?" Edward asked me
"I'm great. How about you?" I asked staring to the three of them one at a time.
"Were also fine" Jasper answered and he continued "wait are you the new head of neurosurgeon here?"
I smiled and I nodded to them.
"I guess we will be all working together?" I said causing Jasper and Edward to laugh.
"So who is this little man?" Edward asked
I looked at my Tristan and I saw him he is already looking at me. I have him a smile and he looked at the gentleman in front of him.
"I am Tristan Hale" he said then he put out his hand for Edward and Edward shook them and after that Jasper did the same.
"I'm Edward nice to meet you" Edward said looking at Tristan
"I'm Jasper you can call me uncle Jaz" Jasper said. The. After that Edward taps Emmett arms causing Emmett to shake Tristan hands. At first I was a little nervous but actually it went great because Emmett just smiled and he did his name"
After the awkward stares that are starting to form from me and Emmett the boys decided to excuse themselves to leave they have a surgery they need to attend. Then the three of them leaves Tristan standing there.
I wipe off the tears in my cheeks then I put Tristan down and I hold his hands then we walked out of the Hospital.
Chapter 6
Emmett's POV
"Hey Emmett? Did you understand what I just said?" Jasper said to me as he tapped my shoulders light because we are having a small meeting right now before the surgery.
"I'm sorry what?" I said back to Jasper
Edward giggled when he heard my answer so I stared at him confused.
"What's funny?" I asked
"You" he simply said
"Why?" I still asked in confused looked.
"Nothing" he said then he stared at Jasper who is also laughing with Edward.
I scoffed and I was about to walk out of Jasper's office when they suddenly apologizes for teasing me.
So I sat down again and I put my palm in my face and I rubbed it.
"Why not just ask her?" Jasper said out of nowhere.
I looked at him and I saw him staring at me while Edward is doing the same.
"He's not my kid" I said as I looked at the chart I am holding.
"How can you be so sure?" Edward ask this time.
"Because … I just know" I answered.
"Then how can you explain the spitting image of you in that kid?" Edward responded.
I stared back to him and I saw him looking so serious.
"It's been six years already, and if it's my kid I know Rose will tell me the day she found out she is pregnant" I explained
after that Edward and Jasper just smiled at me weakly then they tapped my shoulders.
Chapter 7
Rosalie's POV
Tristan and I ate in the restaurant near the hospital before going home.
When we arrived at the house I sat lazily on the couch while Tristan is running to his Dinosaur toys already.
As I stare at my Tristan I can't help not be sad for him. Because earlier his father is standing right in front of him and I don't have the guts to introduce him.
"What a pathetic mother I am" I mumbled to myself.
Tristan ran over to me while holding his toys when he accidentally tripped over causing him to fell on his knees.
I quickly stood up and I ran over to him.
"Baby? Baby are you hurt?!" I asked in my most nervous tone as I scan his body to see if there are wounds or bruises.
A tears quickly fell on my eyes when I saw that he has scratched himself in his arms with the toy he is holding while running earlier.
"Does it hurt?" I asked then I picked him up and carried him in the dining room and I sat him on the chair. I went to grab the first aid kit we had on the kitchen and I took it over to Tristan.
I carefully cleaned his wound and applied medicine to the wounded part. When I was done applying medicine on his wound with the use of buds I blew some air in it.
"Does it hurt?" I asked him and I saw Tristan just staring at me like nothing even had happened.
"Mommy why are you crying?" He asked me.
I grabbed both of his hands and I stared straight to his eyes.
"Baby Tristan. I need you to do one thing for me okay?" I said then he nodded his head.
"You need to be strong okay? Because it is always going to be mom and you okay?" But he cuts me off
"What about da…" I didn't let him finish
"There's no daddy!" I practically yelled causing him to cry in an instant
it made my heart sank that I easily regretted my decision and I hugged him and I cooed him so that he could stop crying already.
"I'm sorry baby. I'm sorry" I said as I stroke my finger through his dark curls.
"I'm sorry mommy because I am not strong" he whimpered.
"No baby, I am sorry because I am not strong enough to protect you, I am sorry baby stop crying now please mommy loves you so much." I said as I picked him up on the chair.
And after a few minutes of cradling him into my arms my angel fell asleep on my shoulder then after that I laid him on his bed upstairs.
Chapter 8
Rosalie's POV
I exhaled deeply before I entered the hospital. Tristan is with me as we walked to the office that this hospital gave to me. I was about to enter my office when I heard two girls yelled my name.
"Rose!"
Tristan and I looked behind us and I saw Alice and Bella running closer to me. When they arrive in front of me they both gave me a hug.
"Oh my God! I can't believe you are finally here!" Alice squealed
after that I saw belle knelt in front of my son and he gave him candy.
"Your son?" She asked to me.
"Yeah" I answered and I looked at Tristan who is staring up to me.
"What's your name?" Alice asked Tristan.
"Tristan Hale" he answered
after that Bella and Alice gave him a kiss on the cheeks they both stood up and then Alice whispered in my ears.
"Who's the father?"
I smiled at her weakly but I didn't answer because Bella cuts in.
"Why is he with you here?"
"Well because we just moved in here three days ago and I haven't found a baby sitter yet that's why he is still with me" I explained
after that Bella took her phone on her pocket and she called someone.
"Reneesme is going at kindergarten already and I have a friend who works there you can enrol Tristan there so you can work here while he is the school then you can just pick him up after" Bella explained
"Reneesme?" I asked
"Her daughter" Alice explained to me as she puts Tristan some face mask on.
"Bella has a daughter already?" I asked
"Yeah. You're gone for 6 years and there are a lot of story you missed!" Alice said.
I just smiled guilty at Alice.
"Tristan can start tomorrow in the school Reneesme is going. You must need to pass some file in their school and he is ready to go" Bella explained
"That's it?" I asked amazed because she only fix everything on a phone call.
"I told you I have a friend who works there. Don't worry I know they will take care of Tristan"
Bella said then she winked at Tristan. After that we went inside my office so that I can change to my scrubs and after that we leave Tristan in the children's area so that I can start working already.
Chapter 9
Rosalie's POV
because it is my first day my team in the Neuron department gave me a little time to introduce myself in front of them because first I was new on the team and second o am their new department head.
After that we all part our ways because we are needed inside the OR room. After two minor surgeries that I had its lunch time already. I quickly ran to the children's area and there I saw Tristan playing.
I called him so that we can both have lunch together. I put on mask on his face before we go to the canteen here in the hospital. After I grabbed some of our food I find us a seat then we ate already.
"How are you?" I asked as I put on a towel on his collar.
"I'm good mommy. I made some new friends" he answered me as he took a big bite of his sandwich.
"Really? What are their names?" I asked
"Quinn and Seth" he said looking so happy.
"Wow. They had a cute name" I said
"Just like me mommy?" He asked causing me to giggle.
"Yeah. Just like yours. You had a really cute name" I said as I kissed him on his nose.
"How about you mommy? How is your day?" He asked
"I'm good. Mommy got to save two men today" I said causing his eyes to widen.
"You're a superhero mommy?" He asked.
"Yes!" I said then I giggled.
"Baby tomorrow you're going to school already" I said
"Really!" He squealed.
"Yes, you're going to school tomorrow" I said with a smile on my face.
"I'm so excited I wish it is tomorrow already" he said causing me to giggle at his cuteness.
After that we ate our lunches and our conversation went on like that I would ask he and he would answer me back. Tristan really never fails to amaze me.
After our lunch I took Tristan to my office and I let him brush his teeth with me, then I replace his shirt with a new and cleaning shirt then I put on some cologne in his shirt I brushed his dark curls and we went to the children area again.
Chapter 10
Emmett's POV
I was on my way to canteen when I saw Rosalie and his son Tristan on their way to the canteen. It made me smile to see that cute kid with his mother.
I let a few doctors to go in front of me because I don't want Rose or Tristan that I was staring at them. When I was finished to get the food that I am going to eat I quickly scan the tables around to see where Rose and Tristan seating and I saw the both of them seating at the tables outside the canteen.
I saw a vacant seat behind them so I sat back there. I was seating back to back with Rosalie. I heard all of their conversation and to be honest I was a little happy.
You can't deny the fact that Tristan is like his mom he is smart and he is friendly. I heard him he said that he made friends already and he is happy about going to school. What an amazing kid.
I realized that they were done eating their lunches when Rose suddenly stood up and she cleaned the table that they use. After that I stared at them as they walk away to the canteen.
I followed them slowly so that Rose wouldn't notice that someone is following them. They went inside Rose office and because the office is made out of glass and their blinds is open there saw the both of them brushing their teeth together.
And I saw how loving and a careful mom Rosalie was. She even changed Tristan clothes on. After that he puts on some mask to Tristan so that he won't inhale any germs that is circulating around the hospital.
Then the both of them walked outside of Rosalie's office then they went to the children's area. I saw Rosalie kissed him good bye then she left him there.
I waited for almost ten minutes away from the children's are before I walked closer; I scan around the place and their I saw Tristan playing happily with his friends. That must be Riley and Dominic.
A smile form on my face when he suddenly looked at me. He stared at me confused for a few minutes but then he started to smile and gave me a wave when I think he realizes who I was. After that I gave him also a small wave then I left him there.
Chapter 11
Rosalie's POV
Tristan hold my hands tightly as we walked inside the day-care. It was his first time going to school and I know he is a little scared because he knows that I will leave him all alone in there.
"Baby look at me" I said to him as I tilt his face up so that he can look back at me.
"Mommy I'm scared" he said
"I know baby, but you need to be strong and brave remember?" I said at him and he nodded his head while staring at me.
"Because you're a big boy now and you need to go to school so that you can meet a lot of friends and you can study more about dinosaurs" I explained to him causing his eyes to widen because he heard about dinosaurs.
"Rose" Someone called my name and I saw Edward walking closer to Tristan and to me while he is holding Reneesme hands.
"I promise I'll pick you up later." I said back to Tristan then I took his hands and I kissed it. After that I smiled warmly to him then we waited for Edward and Reneesme.
When Edward and Reneesme is finally in front of us Edward knelt in front of Tristan then he introduces Reneesme to us.
"Reneesme this is Aunt Rose daddy's friend and her son Tristan; this is his first day at school."
After Edward introduce his daughter to my Tristan Reneesme gave me a kiss on my cheeks then he waved at Tristan.
"Hello" My Tristan said shyly then Reneesme kissed his dad goodbye then he grabs Tristan hands then they both ran inside their room.
"I love you" I said to Tristan as he ran inside with Reneesme to their Classroom.
I stared at Edward worriedly then Edward just puts his arms around my shoulder then we walked away from the day-care and Edward insisted for me to come with him in the Hospital because he has a car with him.
"Thank you" I said to Edward while he is driving and he just gave me a smile.
"Don't worry about it Rose. You and Tristan were not different from us" he said then after that we finally arrived because the kindergarten is just only blocks away from the Hospital.
When we arrived at the Hospital Edward and I quickly parted our ways for us to change our clothes into scrubs because we have a sudden meeting that involves all of the surgeons in the hospital.
I was talking with Alice and Bella when I heard that familiar voice.
"Rosalie?" When I turn around I saw Auntie Esme with Uncle Carlisle looking as beautiful and handsome as ever.
"So the news is true!? You're here!" Auntie Esme practically yelled as she ran closer to me to give me a hug.
I returned the hug gladly and I gave the both of them a kiss on the cheeks.
"Thank you Uncle Carlisle for this offer in your" I said politely then uncle Carlisle just smiled at me then he gave me another hug.
"So how are you?" Uncle Carlisle asked me. I was about to answer when I heard Emmett spoke behind my back.
"Mom, Dad" he said then they both gave them a kiss and after that came in Alice with Jasper and Bella and Edward.
Because Alice, Edward and Emmett were the sons and daughter of Uncle Carlisle and Aunt Esme they are all adopted while Jasper and Bella is there son and daughter in laws.
"Okay. I'm about to start this Meeting Uncle Carlisle said then we walks into the middle of surgeons and he started talking about medical stuffs because we had a special case with a very important person that is coming here today in the hospital.
Chapter 12
Rosalie's POV
I picked up Tristan and Reneesme to school and I took them to the Hospital because our shift had been adjusted for another five hours.
I took Reneesme to het parents who are really glad by the way that I also picked up Reneesme.
When Tristan and I were on our way to my office I bumped into Emmett. Because I was busy looking at my son.
"I'm sorry" I said as I started too knelt down and helped Emmett to pick up all the papers that scattered to the ground.
"It's okay" he said. As I picked up all the papers I catch a glimpse of Emmett and there I saw his beautiful face and I turned my looked away when he saw me staring at him.
A smile form on his lips as I handed him the papers then I hold Tristan hand again.
"Okay that's the rest of it" I said
Then he smile his most charming smile to me and to my son. Causing my knees to shake when I saw his dimples the one that my son also have.
"Thanks" he said then we both stared at each other with a tension running and I can feel it on the air.
"Bye" I said to Emmett then I pulled out Tristan to my hands. But we were only a few meters away when Tristan let's go off my grip when he ran towards to Emmett.
I stared shocked when my angle did that.
"Tristan!" I yelled but he didn't listen. Emmett waited for Tristan to arrive in front of him and when Tristan did Emmett knelt down.
"What is it young man?" Emmett asked.
Tristan didn't say anything he just fish something in his bag and after a few good minutes he took it out and I saw it was his dinosaur band aid.
He opened it and he puts the band aid in Emmett's scratch on his arms the same where Tristan hurts his arms the other day.
Emmett stared at my son when he did that and when Tristan is done he showed to Emmett his hands where the scratch is located then he spoke.
"I hurt myself and my mom said that I need to be strong. So I put you some band aids because it made me strong."
After that Tristan kissed Emmett leaving Emmett speechless then he ran closer to me.
I picked Tristan up without looking back to Emmett and I ran to my office. When we arrived in the office I put Tristan tightly and I cried nonstop in his little shoulder.
"Mommy why are you crying?" He asked me
"Nothing baby. Nothing" I lied.
"Are you mad at me?" He asked
"No baby" I said then I kissed Tristan. I don't know why I cried but something I am for sure. I felt I little happy because that was literally the first time my angel and his father had an actual conversation.
Chapter 13
Rosalie's POV
I stared at my little angel while he is sleeping beside me. We got home pretty late luckily he fell asleep in my office.
I kissed his forehead and I stroke his little dark curls. Tristan is really looks like his father. I felt sad every time he asks about why he doesn't have a dad and I doesn't even had an explanation why he doesn't have one.
The next day came, after I finished preparing Tristan and myself I took Tristan in his school and he waved me goodbye when he saw Reneesme inside.
I waved at the both of them goodbye then I left.
Actually today is really a chill day here at the hospital because we only got to operate on minor cases and all our patients on the ICU were stable the whole day.
I'm grabbing my bag and coat so that I can picked up Tristan when Edward and Bella knocked on my office and they offered to pick up Tristan because I did picked up Reneesme before.
I just back from the canteen, I bought some snack for me and Tristan when someone entered my office and there I saw Bella, Reneesme Edward and Tristan.
I shocked to be honest because Tristan is scooped by Edward in his hands and his face is buried in Edward's shoulder.
"What happened?" I asked Bella and Edward as I took Tristan from Edward's arms.
"Someone bullied him at school" Reneesme explains to me.
"And I promise I was the only one who protected him." Reneesme continued.
I kissed Reneesme in her cheeks.
"Thank you Reneesme Auntie Rose really appreciates what you did for Tristan" I said to her.
Then I placed sleeping Tristan on the couch I have in my office and I gave Edward and Bella a hug as way of me saying thank you to the both of them. After that the family leaves.
I was doing some research here in my office beside Tristan in the couch when the little man woke up.
"Hey baby" I said as I stroke his curls.
Tristan sat up and he stared at me after that tears are forming in his eyes already.
"Baby what wrong?" I asked him immediately when I saw that he is crying.
"Someone bullies me" he said
"Who?" I asked as I wipe the tears from his cheeks but his tears were flowing nonstop. I held him close to me because I really felt sorry for my angel.
"Riley and Dominic" he replied
"I thought they are your friends?" I asked as I cooed him closer.
"I thought so too" he answered as he buried his face into my chest deeper. My scrubs were starting to get wet because of Tristan's tears.
"Baby explain to me what happened?" I asked Tristan as I cupped his face so that I can look at him in his eyes.
But my heart sank when I saw his already swollen eyes because of producing too much tears. I felt pain in my heart to see my little angel got hurt and I am not there to defend him.
"It's father's day today" that's all I need to hear from him and I know exactly why he cried but I still let him finish his story.
"Teacher Angela said that we need to a letter for our Dad, but I didn't have a dad so I didn't make one."
"Oh baby" I said as I hugged him tighter because I know what my baby really felt. Then Tristan continued.
"Teacher Angela made us go in front of the class and show our work and when it is my turn they laughed at me because I didn't have a dad like them."
"I'm sorry baby" I said in a broken voice.
Tristan pulled out from my hug and he looked up to me.
"I'm the only one who didn't have a dad" he said then he continued "why am I the only one who doesn't have a dad?" He asked.
I fell silent because I really don't know how to explain it to him; and I know this is the one of the things that one day I know I will explain to him. But I think today is really early to explain everything to him.
"I'm sorry baby I'll explain it to you when the right time comes" I said causing him to cry harder because he can't know the reason today. After that he jumped out of my lap and he ran out of my office.
Chapter 14
Emmett's POV
"You're husband is stable, but I will still check on him for a few more days just to make sure he didn't have any infection" I said to the wife of my patients.
"Thank you Doctor Cullen" the wife and the family said to me.
After that they shook my hands and I left them for some privacy in their room.
I was on my way to the canteen when I saw this little kid staring to the families inside the waiting area. I recognize who it was and it was Tristan.
From his looks he didn't looked like he was missing but I was still surprise to see him here in the hospital loitering alone.
I walked closer to him and I called his name.
"Tristan" I yelled. It only took me one yell to get his attention and when he stared at me I saw that he has a swollen eyes that he looks like he stopped crying a minute ago.
I knelt in front of him and I was shocked when he hugged me. He buried his face deep into my shoulders and I heard him whimpered. So I carried him up and I took him you the canteen with me.
I ordered some snacks for him and I was really having a difficult time to pay for the snacks because one I was carrying Tristan and second my wallet is in my pocket.
I was struggling to get the money out of my wallet when the counter offered to get the money from my wallet. I smiled at him gladly and I let him took the money that he needed after that he gave my wallet and he gave me a warm smile.
"It's really hard being a dad right?" He said to me then he continued
I also had son same as his age"
after that he gave me my change leaving me no choice to get out of the line and get the snacks that I bought.
I took Tristan out with me and I let him sat on the bench near a big tree. I saw him staring sadly into something it made me curious why is he crying and why he is alone.
So I grabbed the yogurt drink and I put on some straw and I gave it to him. He looked at me with his swollen eyes and he grabbed it with a smile on his face. Even though he is smiling right at me I know he is really sad and something is bothering him.
I also handed him the chicken sandwich that I bought then he also took it. I helped him to open the cover of the sandwich and once it is open he grabbed it and he took a really big bite.
"How did you this is my favourite snack?" He asked me while he is munching his food.
I stared at him shocked before I can manage to answer.
"Because this was my favourite also" I answered.
He smiled and he took a sip of his yogurt.
"So why are you alone here in the hospital?" I asked
"I ran away from mom." He simply answered.
It made me giggle because he got that attitude right from his mom.
"Why?" I asked
"Because she can't tell me why I don't have a daddy" he said smiling weakly at me.
"I know she had her reasons" I said back.
He looked up to me and I can say that he is going to cry again.
"Did you know? I was the only one in my class that doesn't have a daddy" he said
I put my arms around him because tears are starting to fall from his eyes; then he continued.
"Today's is Father's Day. But I don't have a dad to greet him every father's day and I can't make a card because I don't have a daddy" he said croakily.
I really felt sad for this boy that I decided to pick him up and I sat him on my lap and I gave him a hug. A big and sincere hug.
"You can gave me a card every father's day" I said to him causing him to look at me like he was hopeful.
"Are you a daddy?" He asked causing me to chuckle.
"No, but I can be your dad" when I said that a smile form on his face causing his dimples to appear on his cheeks and the first time in a while I saw happiness in his eyes.
"Really!" He asked.
"Yeah" I said gladly to him and he hugs me like his life is depended on it.
"But we need to keep this a secret to your mom" I said
"Why?" He asked me looking confused.
"Because your mom will feel bad that you chose your own daddy" I lied but I thinks he buys my explanation.
"Okay I will keep it a secret!" He answered happily.
"Pinkie promise?" I asked he nodded and he put out his pinkie finger to me
"Pinkie promise!" He replied.
After that we both ate our snacks and we go inside to the hospital and I took her to her mom.
Chapter 15
Rosalie's POV
I was pacing back and forth inside the CCTV room because of panicky. It been what 30 minutes since Tristan ran away from me and they haven't found where he is.
"Rose, calm down" Jasper walks closer to me and he puts his arms around my shoulder then he let me seat beside Alice. The couple is accompanying me.
I stared to the both of them looking frustrated.
"I can't. I'm sorry" I said to the both of them and I stared to cry.
"What if something happened to him, what if some guys picked him up and sold him" I said to the both of them and they both just rubbed my back.
"Is he this kid?" The operator said to us, causing the three of is jump out of our seats and looked at the monitor where he is pointing.
I stared for a few good minutes and I saw that it was him. What shocked me is that he is with Emmett.
"He's with Emmett" Alice spoke then the three of us stared at each other.
"They are on their way to your Office" Jasper said. After that we said our thanks to the operator and we left.
I was in a hurry to see Tristan. When we arrived I saw in the glass window that Tristan and Emmett sitting beside each other on the couch; Emmett is reading some name of the dinosaur in Tristan dine book.
A smile started to appear on my face at the site of the two important people in my life getting along.
"Tristan" I said causing Tristan and Emmett to look at me. Tristan jumped out from Emmett's lap and he gave me hug.
I kissed my little angel all over his face and I hold him tightly to me.
"Where did you go?" I asked him.
"I'm sorry mommy, Uncle Emmett said that I made you worry so I need to say sorry" he said causing me to look at Emmett and he is staring right back at me.
"You're forgiven" I said back to Tristan and I kissed him on his nose.
After that I picked up Tristan in my arms and I showed him to Alice and Jasper and after that Emmett stood up from where he is seated and he started to walk away.
I gave Tristan to Jasper and I followed Emmett outside.
"Emmett" I yelled
Emmett turn his back from me and he stared at me like he is waiting for my reason why I called him.
"Thank you" I said.
It made Emmett smile that his dimples were shown in his cheeks. That dimples were one of the reason why I fell in love with him.
"No prob" after he said that he smiled again and he leaves.
Chapter 16
Emmett's POV
I was staring at Tristan and Rosalie while they are playing on the hallway of the Hospital. It's weekend today so that explains why my niece and Tristan is here at the hospital with their parents.
I was at the nurse station looking for the charts of my patients when suddenly someone tapped my shoulder. I turned my head to look who it was and it is Jasper and Edward.
"Feeling so happy to see your kid looking happy and not crying today?" Edward ask as he flip the pages of the chart of his patient.
"He's not my kid" I said then I looked down on my charts again.
"Don't deny him bro" Jasper said this time.
I dropped my pen on the chart and I stared seriously to the both of them.
"I'm not denying the kid, as long as Rose haven't confirmed that the kid is mine I will not jump into conclusion" I explained.
The both of them just chuckled.
"Have you had your eyes checked? "Edward asked me.
"No I haven't" I answered confused.
"Have your eyes check bro, because the kid that Rose is playing with right now is definitely yours" Jasper said as he tapped my shoulders.
I stared to the both of them, and I started to look to Rose and Tristan again who are now reading Tristan dinosaur book.
I scanned the kid. He has a dark curls like mine, he has a blue eyes like mine I also noticed his dimples! He uses his left hands more often than the right which makes him a lefty like me.
I remembered what I looked like when I was still a kid and to be honest. Tristan is like me he is strong a little bulky for a kid and he is tall for a five year old kid.
I looked away when I saw Rose was about to look at me. It made me think that physical comparison were not enough proof for me to jump into conclusions.
I stared at Tristan again and I saw him looking at me he smiled and he waved his hands to me; and without a question I did the same.
"God! He even waves the same like you" Jasper whispered while he is doing some notes on his patient's charts.
So okay, if Jasper says that we both looked the same while waving, we definitely had the same taste in food as well. I remembered the time he was lost and he says we had the same favourite snack.
I shook my head and I stared into my charts but my mind were still flying around thinking about Rose kid.
I heard Tristan is five years old same as my niece and Rosalie and I broke up six years ago that means I am not his father.
"She carried Tristan in her womb for nine months it makes that 1 year; that means Tristan is still a baby and haven't reach his 1st birthday yet,
and remember you and her broke up February then she conceived Tristan March, count it bro, December exactly nine months and she gave birth to meaning he turned 1 the second year you two broke up.
It's been what six years already and he is only five years old" Edward explains causing me to look at him really amazed and at the same time scared.
"Are you a mind reader or something?" I asked
He giggled and Jasper is the one who answered.
"Your pained expression tell us what you're thinking!"
I glared to the both of them. But when I did my own conclusion, it made me also want to believe that; that kid whose Rosalie was reading something to be my kid.
Jasper tapped my shoulder again and I looked at him.
"So do you want to do a DNA test?" He asked.
I just sighed deeply and I began writing some notes on the charts again.
"I told you already, As long as Rosalie is not telling me I'm that fathers kid then I will not jump into conclusions" I answered irritated
"But you just did earlier" Edward answered and he walks closer to her daughter leaving me and Jasper and standing in the Nurse station.
Chapter 17
Tristan's POV
"Okay class next week we're going to have a family day" Teacher Angela said to us then she handed us some forms that we need to give to our mommy so that they can read them.
I looked at Reneesme beside me and me her looking so excited for the event.
"We're going to play some games with your mom and dad plus we're going to have a picnic there" Teacher Angela explained.
"You hear that Tristan, were going on a picnic and we're allowed to play Reneesme whispered.
I just smiled at her and she looked at me when she didn't hear me said something back to her.
"Don't worry I will be with you the entire family day I promise" she said back to me.
Causing me to smile at her because she is such a good friend.
After that. Teacher Angela teach us how to read. When the school is done Reneesme and I waited patiently to mom or Uncle Ed or Aunt Bella to pick us up but Reneesme and I was shocked when we saw it is Aunt Alice who picked us up.
"Hey you two cuties." She said then she took our hands and hold us on our way to her car. After that she strapped me and Reneesme at the back then she started to drive.
Auntie Alice explained that both my mom and Reneesme parents were saving someone that's why they asked Auntie Alice to pick us up.
When we arrived we went directly to the canteen and there we saw uncle Jasper and Uncle Emmett.
Reneesme and I gave them a kiss and they both helped us to seat down on the chair then we waited for Auntie Alice to return because she is the one who ordered our snacks.
Uncle Jasper and Uncle Emmett were telling us some joke as we waited on Auntie Alice; and when she arrives she places our snacks in front of us then we all ate all together.
We were on our way to mommy when I suddenly felt that I need to pee. So I tugged Uncle Emmett shirt and I looked up to him. He knelt down in front of me and I whispered it to him.
When he heard that he quickly carried me up and he ran towards the nearest C.R
Then he helps me unbuckle my pants then he gave me a privacy by standing outside the cubicle.
"Just knock or call me if you are done" he said.
When I was done I fix myself and I knocked on the door. When he open it he carried me up and he puts me on top of the sink then he fixes my pants and belt after that he lets me wash my hands.
When we arrived back to the place where we leave Aunty Alice, Uncle Jasper and Reneesme they are nowhere to be found so Uncle Emmett called them then after a little later uncle Emmett took my hand and we walk on the way to mommy's office.
"How's your day? "Uncle Emmett Asked me.
"Fine" I said
Uncle looks down on me strangely causing me to tell him the truth.
"The school is having a family day" I said back
"That's cool" he said smiling down to me.
"No it's not" said back to him while staring down.
"Why? It is a day for family. I know your mom will be there" he said
"I know, I just don't want to attend that activity" I said back causing him to stop walking and he knelt down on one knee in front of me.
"Why? You have a family, you have your mom" he said back looking at me sincerely in my eyes.
"Come with us" I said back to Uncle Emmett as I bit my lower lip because I was hoping he would say yes.
"What day is it?" He asked.
"Next week Friday" I said
He just stared at me while smiling then he stood up and he took my hands again and we walk together at the office of mom without answering me if he's going to go with us.
Chapter 18
Rosalie's POV
When Tristan and I arrived at our house he quickly opened his bag and he showed me the letter that cane from his school.
It is a waiver that is asking if he and his family is going to the family day next week. I smiled when I read the letter because this is going to be so much fun Tristan and I are going to spend the whole day with each other.
"Hey honey, this picnic" I didn't finish my sentence when he cuts me off.
"I don't want to go" he said
"What? Why?" I asked then I walk closer to him while he is busy fixing his dinosaur toys.
"Family day is for family" he said
"But the two of us were family" I said explaining to him.
"I know mommy, but the reason why I don't want to go is because I don't want my classmate bullying me that I. Don't have a daddy like them" he said to as he frowned.
I hugged him tightly. I feel so sad for my son that an early age he knows what pain felt like and I blame myself for this because I can't protect him.
After that I bathed Tristan and I tucked him in.
I was staring at the waiver for a few good minutes but until now I can't decide if we're going to go or were not. I was staring at my little angel when I suddenly signed the waiver.
"I know you're gnaw hate me for this but what I did is still for you, you need to know that you can succeed without a father" I whispered as I stroke his rosy cute cheeks.
I love him so much that if I can take all the pain and longing his feeling I already did it.
Chapter 19
Rosalie's POV
When Tristan already knew that I signed his waiver he cried at first but then I explained everything to him and miraculously he understood all of what I am trying to say.
When the day finally arrived I woke up early to prepare all the things Tristan and I were going to need for later. I woke him up and I prepare him first I took him to shower then I dressed him I put on the Red shirt that I ordered for him in his school that we will use.
When he is done. I took him to the living room and I handed his cereal to him while he is busy watching cartoons.
Rheon I quickly went to shower so that I can finally prepare myself. When I was about to put on the red shirt for me I saw the extra shirt on top of my bed it's because when you order a shirt you automatically will pay for three shirts.
It made me frown to think that what Tristan saying is true. It is a family day. It is supposed to be. A dad a mom and a child but for us only a child and a mom. I sighed deeply then I put on my shirt.
After I put on my rubber shoes I went downstairs and there I saw Tristan still watching TV. I picked up the bowl that he uses while eating a cereal earlier and I handed him a glass of water. After that I put everything in the sink and I grabbed the bag and the food basket that we will use then I took Tristan hands and I pulled him out of our house.
When we got out I saw a jeep in front and I saw Emmett waiting patiently on his car. When he saw us he jumped out of his jeep and he carried all of I am carrying.
"What are you doing here?" I asked
"Oh didn't you know?" He said
"What?" I asked
"That cute kid invited me today in his family day" he answered and he picked up Tristan after he puts all the bag and the food basket in his jeep.
"Emmett…" I was about to say something but he stopped me.
"Don't ruin this for Tristan" after he said that he gave Tristan a kiss and he carried him to his jeep and he buckled him on the back safely.
I stared at Tristan and there I saw he looked much happier when Emmett arrived. So I just went on with it. I energy the house again and I quickly grabbed the extra shirt on the top of my bed and I tossed it to the face of Emmett who is waiting by the door.
"What is this for?" He asked
"Change, the family day have a colour coding." After I said that he gave me the res shirt and then and there he took off his shirt causing me to have a glimpse of his great and still beautiful body.
After that he took the Red shirt from my hands and he puts it on and it fits him perfectly.
After that he tossed his shirt that he is wearing earlier to my face then he walks to the driver's seat of his jeep.
I get the shirt out of my face but before I did I took a sniff and I realized that he haven't changed his cologne he is still the man that I fell in love before. After that I ran quickly to passenger's seat.
I was folding the shirt of Emmett when suddenly Tristan spoke behind causing me to look at him.
"Yes! Today I had a daddy" He squealed.
"Tristan its uncle Emmett. Uncle" I said
"Rose" Emmett said while his eyes is still fixed on the road.
"Don't ruin this for him. If he wants to call me his dad today fine, I don't mind" he explained.
"But I do" I replied.
Emmett stared at me straight serious. I know that look. It's the looks he gives when he does something good that soon you will realize he do it for others.
"This day is about him, so just let him enjoy" when he said that I felt quiet because he is right this day is for Tristan and it didn't even started yet and I am starting ruin it already,
I bit my lip and I stared at Emmett.
"Sorry" after he heard that he smiled and he continued driving.
When we arrived at the venue Tristan can't calm down because he saw a big dinosaur ride and he wanted to ride later.
Emmett gets Tristan out on the back seat and he gets the bag and the food basket. He puts the bag pack on his back and he carried the food basket in his left hand while the other hand is holding Tristan hands. I took a snap shot just for remembrance.
After that I ran closer to them and I hold Tristan other hands as we follow the line to the security before we can go in.
When we made it pass through the security I saw Edward Bella and Reneesme waving at us because they saved us a seat beside them. The three of us walk hand in hand closer to them and honestly I saw Bella and Edward grinning back at me when they saw the Emmett is with us.
Emmett, Tristan, Reneesme and Edward were busy looking the place around while Bella and I are busy placing the food that we prepare for later.
We were done placing everything on the table when the four arrived. I saw Emmett and Tristan very sweaty so I took the towel out of the bag and I wiped the both of them all of their sweats in the face and neck.
After that I took out another towel and I put it on Tristan's back.
"Baby your sweaty already the program hasn't started yet" I said to Tristan which only cause him and Emmett to laugh at me.
"You like it also when she's irritated?" Emmett asked Tristan then Tristan continued to laugh.
I glared at Emmett and I shook my head because his teasing attitude is still there.
Chapter 20
Rosalie's POV
"Mommy! Mommy!" My Tristan called me as he ran towards me.
"Hey baby" I asked as I stretch my arms to him.
"I want to play the sack race" he said when he is now front of me. He was practically panting.
"Okay babe you can" I answered him because I thought he was just asking for my permission.
"No Mommy the race is consist of a Mommy a Daddy and me" he said
after that I wiped the sweat on his forehead.
"Ohm? But you see uncle Emmett is busy talking to his friends" I said pointing my finger at Emmett who is busy talking with Edward a few yards away from us because they saw their old colleagues.
Emmett smiled at us and after that I saw Tristan walking closer to Emmett. After that I saw Emmett carried up Tristan and Tristan whispered something in his ears.
Emmett nodded his head to Tristan then he excused himself and I saw the both of them walking closer to me.
Tristan looked so excited and once they are in front of me Emmett took my hands and he intertwined his finger into mine and he pulled me to where the sack race is located.
When we arrived I saw Bella and Reneesme playing at the inflatable house near us. I gave Bella a wave and I saw her grinning at me when he saw that the three of us together were going to play as a family.
Someone come in front of us and she looks like she is giving some name tags for the game so that it can easily distinguish who are the team mates.
She smiled at us then she ask.
"Last name please?"
"You see…" I didn't even get the chance to finish my explanation when Emmett but's in.
"Cullen. Double L" he said then he took the first name tag and he puts it on Tristan shirt.
I fell speechless literally when he did that. After that he took the second name tag and he puts it on my shirt exactly like Tristan and he took his and he also placed the name tags.
After that the facilitator pointed out the line where our team mates out and we followed.
Tristan looked so excited that he cannot even contains it. He was jumping out of excitement while he holds Emmett's hands.
Right before us Emmett gave Tristan and I a Little tip so that if it is our turn were not going to fall while we are jumping all together inside the big sack.
We saw are team mates coming tight in front of us and to be honest I felt also a little excited and at the same time scared because of the intensity of the game.
The family came back right to us and they pulled the sack off their body and handed them down to us. Emmett and I opened the big sack; Emmett carried Tristan inside and after that we both entered the sack.
Once the three of us are finally settled Emmett yelled to Tristan and I.
"Okay jump! Jump! Jump!" Emmett did that until we reach the turn we are going to reach. After we reach that Emmett still continued to yell while Tristan and I obliged. I saw Tristan so happy and he is really struggling to win so much.
"Daddy faster!" Tristan yelled to Emmett causing me to stare at Emmett shocked but he didn't mind it instead he answered back.
"Okay Tristan jump! Come on Rose! We're almost there" I shook my head and I continued to Jump after that we reach the end and we won. All of our team mates gather around us and Emmett carried Tristan in his arms.
Tristan is yelling so much because of happiness that he felt from winning. I was staring at them when Emmett looked down on me and he snaked his arms around my waist and he gave me a kiss on the forehead. I know it is wrong because we're not on a relationship but I still feel happy when he did that.
Chapter 21
Rosalie's POV
Emmett took Tristan and me home. When we arrived he took sleeping Tristan and he carried him inside his room.
After that Emmett gave Tristan a kiss on the forehead and we both leave Tristan in his room.
Emmett was already on the door when I called out his name causing him to stare back to me.
"What is it Rose?" He asked
"I… I…" I stuttered. I took a deep breath and I continued.
"Thank you" I said and Emmett smiled when he heard that.
"No problem" he said. After that he opened the door and he went out. I stared at door longingly and after a few seconds I walked closer to the door and I locked it.
When I was about to walk away I heard a knock on the door. I ran closer to it and I opened it and there I saw Emmett. Right after I opened the door he let himself in and he kissed me rough like he was waiting for this to happen.
When we reach my room, Emmett shut the door and we continued on exchanging lingering kisses for the privilege of removing individual articles of clothing. When we are both striped down Emmett and I stared at each other wordlessly. Emmett carried me up to the bed and in one swift move he was now on top of me.
He kissed me on my lips to my neck down to my collar bone while his hands hungrily explores my body. I stroke my hands on his Dark curls as I stared at the man I truly loved. God I missed his kiss, his touch, his smell and also how caring he is.
Emmett spread my legs open and he bent it on my knees then he slowly thrust himself into me. It's been what? 6 years already and he still show me how much he respects me and how he truly loves me and I really admire him to that. After our love making Emmett pulled me close to him and he puts his arms around me protectively.
We stayed like that for a few minutes and I know we both fell into deep slumber.
Chapter 22
Rosalie's POV
I woke up the next morning and I was still cuddling into Emmett's arms. I stared at him for a few minutes admiring his looks and I can really tell that I still love waking up to mornings like this, with Emmett.
I slowly got out of the bed and I took a shower. When I got out I saw Emmett dressed and he is looking dead serious at something then he looked back to me.
"Please get dressed" he said in a serious tone and it made me panicked for a little bit because I know what the meaning of that tone is. It mean he is angry.
Once I was done I walked closer to him and I sat beside him on the bed.
"What's wrong?" I asked
He sighed deeply then he looked at me.
"When are you going to tell me that the kid that is sleeping next door is my son?" He asked
I was shocked when he said that.
"How did…" I did even manage to complete my sentence.
"Really? You're worried how did I know?" He said sarcastically and he stood up from the bed.
"You're phone is ringing earlier so I was about to get it inside your bag but I accidentally dropped your bag on the floor causing all your stuff to scatter out and there I saw some paper. It was Tristan's documents."
Tears are forming now on my eyes when I heard that
"Tristan Dale H. Cullen!" He practically yelled.
"He is using my last name but you didn't have the guts to say it in front of my face!?"
Tears are now falling nonstop from my eyes.
"I was afraid that what if you knew he was your kid and you're not going to acknowledge him" I explained looking so sorry at him.
"This is the exact reason why we broke up Rose! Because you are always keeping secrets from me! You are too scared to make a decision!" Emmett paced back and front.
"Can you blame me?" I asked and now I was also talking to him in a loud voice.
"Can you blame me Emmett?! That I was an orphan and I was too scared to make a wrong decision because I know one wrong move it can make my whole life miserable!"
"I was an orphan too!" He responded.
"Yeah but you got lucky because someone adopted you! While me?! Emmett I spent my whole life praying and hoping that someone would adopt me so that I can finally have a family! But not one is even interested!"
"So is that the reason why you didn't tell me about the offer you have in Rochester!" He replied coldly
"Yes! And I did that for Tristan!"
"Tristan grew up without a father!" He answered "he didn't even know that his father is talking right in front of him yesterday! Neither is his dad!"
"I was pregnant Emmett! I was pregnant!
I know that time that I was pregnant." I whimpered
"but I got scared because the both of us were getting very busy in our internship and I know you are also very busy in your dream to be a doctor just like your dad so a kid that time is still not in your timeline!
"I didn't took your dads offer to me because I was not yet ready to tell you about Tristan yet and I was literally thinking about having Tristan aborted. I was that stressed that time Emmett."
I continued and I saw him looking at me still in his angry face.
When I finally decided to continue my pregnancy; trust me I was also about to tell you because I was ready to face all the consequences, but that's when you knew that I didn't took the offer of your dad and you thought I was thinking on leaving you for the Rochester offer.
Then we had a fight leaving the both of us just to broke up and have our separate ways together.
"I took that offer in Rochester because that was the easiest way for me to earn money for me and for Tristan!"
I explained to Emmett while I was busy wiping the tears from my face.
"But when are you going to tell me about this? Don't you really know me Rose at all? I love kids more than ever and you know that; and you thought just because a kid is not my priority that time I am not going to accept Tristan?" He said coldly.
"How many time do I have to tell you? I got scared!" I yelled at him
"Yeah congratulations Rose, your son grew up sad and very lonely for 5 years." Emmett said to me.
After that we heard a small crying child in the door staring to Emmett and I.
"Are you fighting because of me?" Tristan asked.
Emmett knelt in front of him and kissed Tristan on his cheeks. After that he carried him and hugged him for a little while then he put down Tristan and he left Tristan and me alone in the room. He left without even looking back at me.
Chapter 23
Emmett's POV
It's been three days since Rose and I got into fight and that`s the last day I saw her, even my adoptive brothers and sister are starting to wonder where Rose and Tristan is. It started to scare me that what if Rose left again and this time I didn't know if she and Tristan will be gone for good. I was staring at my phone having a really hard time thinking if I will give Rose a call. But I took down my phone in my table and left my office.
I was busy giving my patients a post-op when a nurse called me and she looked a little worried and scared at the same time.
"Dr. Cullen"
"Is it the patient in room 12?" I asked
"No, it is about Dr. Hale"
When I heard her say Dr. Hale I quickly said my good bye to my patient then I ran and I followed where the nurse is running to. I was starting to jump into conclusions that what is a bad thing happened to Tristan or her.
And when I arrived I saw Rosalie crying.
"Rose!" I called, then she turned around to see me, then she ran closer to me then she hugged me she clawed her fingers to my scrubs then she buried her face into my chest. I swallowed nervously because I know there is something wrong about Tristan.
I pulled out from our hugged then I walk closer to the room where Tristan is being Revived I saw a lot of blood coming out from him.
I heard my doctor colleague yelled to one of the nurses assisting him.
"Page Doctor Caius" my eyes widen when he said that causing me to burst out in anger.
"Really? Dr. Caius! Yeah he is the good doctor but the kid your treating right now is the most important person today in this Hospital!" I practically yelled then I continued "page Alice!" I said
"I`m Sorry Dr. Emmett but the head surgeon of Paediatrics is operating someone now." The nurse explained.
"I don`t care is she is operating on the President's daughter right now just call her!" I yelled causing Rose to calm me down by holding away to the nurse.
"The patients is VIP…"
"I said page her! My son`s life is on the line!" I yelled causing all the nurse to panic.
Chapter 24
Rosalie`s POV
Emmett and I waited patiently for Alice to came, and when she arrived she is literally with some nurses taking off her surgical gowns and masks.
She looks at us worried and she tend to Tristan. As we wait outside Emmett looks at me like he was going to ask me something.
"What happened Rose?"
Tears fell from my eyes when I look at him.
"I told him everything" I simply answered and I saw Emmett's eyes widen in shock.
"And then?" he asked again
"he is mad at me because why I didn`t tell him before, then he ran outside the house and that`s when a car hit him.
Emmett put him arms around me and I leaned my head on his shoulder. I felt Emmett kissed my head as we wait on Alice to come outside and I know even though Emmett won't say it we are both hoping for the best for our little angel.
A few minutes later, Alice walks out of the room and she went closer to us. Emmett and I stood up from our seat and we face Alice.
"How is he?" Emmett and I said on chorus.
Alice smiled and explained.
"Nothing is wrong with him, a car hit him but luckily he is fine. There is no signs of trauma or head injury a few checks up he will be good to go home"
Emmett and I happily gave Alice a hugged.
"But!" Alice said causing Emmett and I to lose the smile on our face.
"He is stressed, he is only five years old and he is deeply in stress. So I was hoping that you could let him rest from all the drama and be just be there for him" Alice said and glared to the both of us.
Emmett and I gave her a weak smile then we entered the room where we saw Tristan sleeping so peacefully. Emmett hold me close to her as we stare at our sleeping angel.
I sat beside Tristan and I kissed his small hands. I looked at Emmett afterwards.
"I thought I`m going to lose him" I said to Emmett.
Emmett put his arms around my shoulder and he whispered.
"I thought I was going to lose you two"
I looked up to Emmett and I saw him staring at me with a tears forming on his eyes. He cupped my face and he gave me a kiss. A quick kiss that I didn't even manage to close my eyes.
"I'm sorry that I left, I didn't only left you once but twice" he said then he continued.
"Please Rose Forgive me and let me be a father to Tristan and a good husband to you"
That leave me speechless but it made me so happy when I heard that.
I stroke his dark curls and this time I was the one who gave him a kiss; and after I gave him that a smile form on his face.
"I'm not going to forgive you Emmett because in the first place I didn't even got mad at you but I want to say I am sorry because I didn`t even let you know all about the situation that I face alone" I said to him
He smiled and said "don`t worry Rose because all is forgiven"
A month later.
"Mommy!" I heard my son yelled, I turn around to face him and there I saw Tristan walking closer to me with Emmett holding his hand.
"I got a star! I got a star!" Tristan said proudly and he show to me his forearm where the star is printed.
I gave Emmett a kiss then I knelt in front if my Tristan.
"Wow! That`s a big star!" I said to Tristan. I saw him looking so proud.
"Daddy said that I was smart like him!" Tristan said causing me to look at Emmett who stared at me teasingly.
"If daddy said he is smart then let's just believe him" I said to Tristan who chuckled right after I said that. Then after that Tristan gave me kiss on the cheeks then he ran closer to Reneesme who is calling him so that they can play already on the children area. Emmett and I looked at him longingly as he ran hand in hand with Reneesme to the children`s area. I sighed deeply then I stood up and faces Emmett.
"What? I asked Emmett because he looks like he was going to say something to me.
He gets his stethoscope put form his neck then he puts the ear tips on my ear after that he gets the diaphragm slowly not wanting me to hurt my ears for unwanted loud sound.
I stared at him confused of what he is trying to do; but I still wait for him to finish what he is about to do, the he whispered something into the diaphragm that causes me to burst out in tears.
"Be my wife Rose"
He didn't even let me answer because He already pulled out a small box on his scrub suit pocket then he open it; there I saw a ring he gets the ring out of the box then he put it in my ring finger.
"I put it already on your finger so that you can say no already" tears are flowing nonstop from my eyes, and I know that a lot of nurses are staring to us right one and just like Emmett I know they are also hoping that I would say yes.
"Just promise me one thing" I said to Emmett in a broken voice, Emmett stared at me sincerely as he await on what I am going to say.
"Promise me that you're going to take care of me and Tristan forever" after I said the Emmett gave me a kiss then he lifts me up from the ground causing all the nurses to clap their hands.
"Forever and Ever babe" he said to me then we both sealed it again with a kiss
