Nine-year-old Diana frowned as her two-year old sister, Donna, giggled as she made a mess with her food on the table. "Oh Donna, dear, we don't do that!" gushed the two maids as Diana shook her head slowly from the other side of the table. Typical. The maids always spoiled her little sister leaving Diana in her shadow.

As the maids cleaned the toddler's mess Diana's mother entered the dining room with a huge smile. "Good morning loves!" Diana noted how her whole outfit was from Channel and with her figure, she looked like the models that worked for her.

"Mother!" Diana spoke happily, her blue eyes lighting up. "Mama." Donna spoke, lifting her chubby arms for her mother to hold. Hippolyta however shook her head. "Sorry Donna dear, Mama has a meeting soon." Hippolyta turned to her older daughter with a smile, "Ready my moon and stars? We have a busy day." Diana nodded before she excused herself from the table and ran over to her mother's side.

As her mother read the morning paper and had a small conversation with the driver Diana gazed in awe at the city. She adored living in New York. Passing through Queens and getting ready to pass through the Brooklyn bridge to get to Manhattan, Diana couldn't help but be grateful every single day of her life that this magical city was her home.

Her mother, Hippolyta, was born in Greece and came from a well off wealthy background. She got into the fashion industry and that's how she met Diana's father. As she attended a fashion show he was one of the sponsors for the show and let the affair begin. They were wed soon and Diana was brought into the world months later. Diana was four when her mother and father divorced and although it shattered her little heart she did not want to make her parents' lives harder. So thus her father left the mansion to her mother and her in the lonely hills of Bel Air California. Her mother soon sold the house and for numerous years she and Diana traveled all over the world. Living in condos, suites, mansions, to even a palace in France as her mother focused on her career as a fashion and business woman.

Very soon Hippolyta began seeing another man and once again she married him and Donna was conceived. During that year Diana was away in boarding school in England. When she returned she had been delivered with the news that her mother and step father had divorced and that her mother finally had her own headquarters finalized. It would be in the heart of Manhattan in New York.

Hence why they were here now. Hippolyta bought a gorgeous mansion in the East Egg and it overlooked the whole city from a distance and the alluring houses and manor on the West Egg. This was home now, permanently her mother told her as they moved into the house. And Diana loved it.

Diana turned to her mother and smiled at her. The wind made her hair blow on her face. Hippolyta smiled back before asking her daughter what she was eager for today.

As Diana and her mother enjoyed lunch at Tiffany's and talked about the display of new dresses they had just seen, one of Hippolyta's secretaries interrupted them. Diana sipped on her orange juice as she was curious at how all of a sudden her mother's face broke into a disgusted and frustration expression. The woman kept whispering into her ear and finally Hippolyta dismissed her.

Diana noticed how her mother sighed and placed a hand on her forehead, as if she was experiencing a headache. "Is something wrong Mother?" Diana asked. Her mother closed her eyes, tiredly as she said in a drained voice, "Your father called an hour ago."

Diana's eyes widened. The last time she had seen her father was in court. He had won shared custody for her. Till now she always lived with her mom, her father sending her gifts for Christmas or birthdays as he wasn't always around. Well not physically.

"Diana," her mother began with a shaky breath. "He wants you to spend the summer with him."

Diana stared at her mother, as if she had grown another head. "He...he bought a manor just across from ours. On the West Egg." Hippolyta continued opening her eyes and wearing a tired expression. "He wants you all the summers from now on love." Diana stood up from her seat, her eyes burning with fury as she replied, "I don't want to Mother! He can't do that!"

Hippolyta gave her daughter a sad face. "I'm so sorry Diana. He absolutely can request you to spend summers with him. It's against the law for me to object. If I do, Hera, hell will break loose. I hate this just as much as you hate it my love...but it is his right as your father."

Diana slumped down her seat with a frown. Hippolyta doing the same thing.

Both losing their appetite.

Hippolyta ordered for Diana to be driven back to the mansion and to help her pack her bags as she was off to her father's first thing tomorrow. Her mother kissed her before Diana was taken by multiple private securities and was driven back home. As she bathed she heard maids packing her suitcase, folding clothes, and preparing for her departure. She detested the sounds of the suitcase zippers. She had moved so many times throughout her life...

Why couldn't she just stay in one place?

One place with one person forever?

Diana wiped her tears away before finishing her bath. Later that evening she decided on taking a stroll out the backyard and swinging on her swing. Donna was inside doing some finger painting with some nannies as the housemaids began setting up for dinner. Diana kicked a bit of dirt as she frowned. She did not want to leave. Yes, she loved her father but she wasn't particularly close to him.

The bell rang and a nanny made her way outside to Diana, who was on her swing under the big fig tree. "Miss Prince, dinner is served."

For the first time in her life, Diana detested being called Miss Prince.

Prince was the man trying to take her away.

Later that night, Diana slipped out of her bed and walked out to her balcony. The boats and the stars being the only source of light tonight. No moon. Diana sat on one of her balcony chairs and gazed at the water. The Brooklyn bridge was magnificent at night. So were the million sparking glowing lights from the tall skyscrapers in the city far away. However what allured Diana more than anything was the dark large and tall manor just across from her mansion. From her balcony she could only catch a glimpse of the beautiful manor as tall trees and fog surrounded it. The manor was gorgeous from what Diana could tell. It always soothed her and put her at ease just looking at it. However the only odd thing from the manor was that at night there were never any lights on. As if no one lived there.

Yet tonight was peculiar. Light was seen from many of manor's windows. Alerting Diana that someone lived in that manor. Somehow Diana craved to explore that manor. It was as if the manor called out to her. Wanting to drive her mad. As Diana gazed at the manor, she only could dream of what kind of person lived within those walls of that mysterious manor.

"Thank you Madam Hippolyta. Come along now Miss Prince. Your father awaits you." spoke a tall skinny woman with long balck hair and hazel eyes. Diana hugged her mother one last time before waving at Donna as she stared at her sister, confused. Hippolyta had a sad expression on her face as the woman led Diana onto the ferry and multiple men in tuxedos surrounded them, private security no doubt. Diana's father was a famous and wealthy diplomat.

Hippolyta frowned as she saw her daughter's figure dismissing by the minute as the ferry crossed the lake, taking her daughter away from her arms. For the first time in years, Hippolyta felt devastated.
