On the Planet Earth, there are 7 jewels of godly power: the Chaos Emeralds. No one knows of the origins of the Chaos Emeralds, but what everyone does know is that they possess a power that only a few people could tap into. Time and time again, the Chaos Emeralds were a frequent target of the most villainous scientist there is: Doctor Ivo Robotnik, otherwise known as, Doctor Eggman. Eggman wants to use the Chaos Emeralds to destroy the city of Station Square and build his own empire on top of the ruins, but thankfully he is always thwarted by the world renowned hero, Sonic the Hedgehog.
The story begins with Sonic just relaxing on the grass. He has the blue Chaos Emerald besides him. Sonic is a blue hedgehog that can run faster than the speed of sound. He is regarded as the Fastest Thing Alive. Sonic has all sorts of powerful abilities, but the most powerful of his abilities is to absorb the power of the Chaos Emeralds and become the unstoppable form of Super Sonic. However, he hasn't had to transform in a while.
"Hmmm..." Sonic thinks to himself. "I will admit, having world peace is a nice thing. Eggman hasn't showed an appearance in days!". Sonic stands up with the Chaos Emerald in hand and stares off into the distance. "But it also is kinda boring... I haven't been able to see my friends in a while...". Sonic then stares at the Emerald in his hand. "Not only that, but the Chaos Emeralds have also gone away. Probably with Knuckles...". He closes his eyes somberly and thinks about the good days. Hanging out with his best friends, fighting robots, and taking down Eggman. Sonic finally speaks out loud.
"I can't believe I'm saying this, but I might actually miss Eggman." Sonic says to himself. "Well, no purpose in sitting around feeling sad. Might as well do something to pass the time.". Sonic does what he does best: He cocks his arms back, steadies himself, and launches in a good ol' fashioned run. The very barrier of sound itself breaks when Sonic runs.
However, meanwhile, in the depths of outer space, there lies a giant metal orb. That orb is actually a battleship in the face of the most notorious man on Earth. It is known and feared by all: It is the Death Egg. Inside, the mad scientist Doctor Eggman lies within, plotting his next evil scheme.
"Hehehehe..." Eggman laughs sinisterly. In front of him, Doctor Eggman has a machine that is powered by the red Chaos Emerald. In the test tube next to it, he has his greatest creation yet. "Finally, with the power of this Chaos Emerald, Sonic's destruction is at hand!". Eggman presses a button of his interface and a claw machines loads the Emerald into the test tube where is proceeds to combine with whatever is inside. Eggman watches with complete fire in his eyes. "Yes... Yes! In just a few more minutes, Sonic won't know what hit him!".
We return to Sonic who is still running, but
