An Easter Of Wonder
Balan felt something crawl onto his bed as he woke up, his eyes staying closed as something came closer before it sat down beside him and a hand rested on his shoulder. "Balan?" Emma's voice said softly as she gently shook his shoulder.
A smile crossed his face as he opened his golden eyes and smiled at her before noticing she had something in her hands. He recognized it to be a rainbow egg. He blinked in curiosity. "Where did you find that one?" He asked as he knew the portals to the various worlds of Wonderworld were closed until a bit later on.
"It was in the theater room," she said. "There's actually a whole bunch of them."
Footsteps were heard and Leo came into the room. "I lost count," he admitted. "But there's at least ten of them in each room."
Balan sat up and stretched, placing his hat on his head before smiling at the two. "Are you two having a bit of fun with me?" He asked with a chuckle.
They shook their heads. "We're not kidding, Balan," Leo said.
"We thought we could only find these in the various worlds," Emma said.
"Yes," he said as he was curious before he suddenly noticed the calendar and what the day was. "Ah, of course!" He said, jumping up and spinning around, a whirlwind coming around him before he was standing before the kids in his ringmaster costume. "I had almost forgot."
"What is it?" Leo asked.
"There's a reason these rainbow eggs are appearing," the maestro said. "It's Easter."
Emma perked up. "Oh! I had forgotten that," she admitted.
"I did too," the boy said. "So...these Tim eggs are for Easter?"
Balan chuckled. "You're partially right, Leo," he said. "Rainbow eggs are very special and though they are somewhat abundant in the worlds here, every Easter they appear in the theater. The significance behind them is that each one hatches into a new Tim and each Tim brings more hope with them."
"Something to brighten the world," Emma said with a smile.
"Exactly, my dear," he said with a smile before the egg in Emma's hands began hatching and a baby Tim that was colored blue and looked like a bird was soon resting in the girl's arms. "Come," Balan said with a smile. "Let's go to the theater. This will be one thing you kids will not want to miss."
Grinning, the two kids followed the maestro to the theater where the tall being saw that the two hadn't been kidding about the rainbow eggs being all around. He chuckled. "Brace yourselves," he said. "Something tells me these are going to hatch all together in mere seconds now."
Just as he finished speaking, the eggs all began moving and they all hatched at the same time. Tims that were pink, yellow, red, blue, purple, white, green, and orange filled the room. Some had bunny ears, some had cat ears, and some were just like birds, but they were all adorable.
Balan chuckled. "Ah, seeing a baby Tim hatch is one of the best things," he said.
Emma giggled as the baby Tims jumped up on her, gently knocking her over and snuggling against her, making her laugh as their nuzzling tickled. Leo was in a similar predicament as he was squirming on the floor and laughing as the playful Tims snuggled against him, tickling him too.
The tall maestro laughed at seeing this and Emma looked up at him before getting an idea. "Hey," she said softly to the little ones, who looked at her curiously. "I think Balan could use some snuggles and cuddles."
It was as if she said the magic words as the baby Tims eagerly hopped off of her and she stood up, going over to Balan, who cocked an eyebrow at her curiously as he saw the grin on her face before she jumped at him. The maestro quickly caught her, but just as he did, she wiggled her fingers into his underarms.
"AAAHHH! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" The tall being laughed, falling to his knees before he was soon lying on the ground and squirming as not only Emma tickled him, but the baby Tims came up to him and snuggled against him. Sneakily, the fifteen-year-old girl lifted up Balan's shirt and he let out a squeal of surprise as several baby Tims snuggled against his exposed stomach. "OHOHOHOHOHOHO, NOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO!"
The girl giggled. "I thought you liked hugs and snuggles, Balan," she said teasingly.
She gasped as someone gently grabbed her and she looked to see it was one of Balan's clones and she went to squirm away, but was soon laughing as nimble fingers wiggled into her sides and her shirt was moved up just a little to expose her stomach. Some of the baby Tims came over and nuzzled her exposed stomach while the clone tickled her underarms, keeping her in stitches as she laughed.
Leo was in a similar predicament as a clone was tickling him along with the baby Tims until the little Tims finally stopped at seeing the larger Tims come in and the larger Tims chirped gently, as if convincing the babies that it was time to let the three up. Balan's clones vanished before the three rested on the floor for a moment, trying to catch their breaths.
Emma giggled before she looked at Balan, seeing him grin at her. "Sneaky, my dear," he said before sitting up and helping her and Leo up. "Would you two be up to gathering drops after breakfast? We have a lot new hungry mouths to feed."
Leo chuckled. "And these guys are constantly hungry," he said.
The maestro nodded. "Yes, they are," he said before they went to have breakfast.
It was later in the afternoon that they were resting in the living room after having collected a bunch of drops from the worlds and feeding the new Tims, who had finally settled down and were napping. "These little guys have a lot of energy," Emma admitted.
"That they do," Balan said, chuckling.
"And they're as mischievous as you, Balan," Leo said without heat.
"Me? Mischievous?" The maestro asked with a playful grin.
"Yes, you," the boy said with a grin back.
Balan's grin grew, which made Leo nervous before he jumped up, but the tall being was quicker, catching him and tickling his ribs, making the fifteen-year-old boy laugh and squirm as hard as he could. Emma giggled before feeling a hand gently grab her ankle and she realized that was Balan's doing. "Oh, dear," she said before giggling as he gently tugged her off the couch and closer to him, tickling her at the same time he was tickling Leo.
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Both kids laughed, making the maestro smile warmly before he saw the Tims seem to glow and he chuckled, letting the kids up and pointing at the new Tims.
"Look," he said.
They saw the new Tims glowing and chirping. "One thing about new Tims is that laughter makes them glow," Balan explained.
"Why is that?" Emma asked.
"I believe it has to do with the positivity they feel," he said. "And pure laughter is a very positive thing."
Leo smiled. "This will be one Easter I won't forget," he said.
"Me neither," Emma agreed.
"As if I'd let you two forget," Balan said jokingly, playfully poking their sides and they giggled before hugging him again and he smiled before leading them to the stage to do a show for the holiday.
