Title: You Going To
Carlos was leaning against the door frame of the spare bedroom that he'd turned into a nursery with TK. He was watching TK feed their daughter her bottle while he sang to her. It was crazy how ten months could go by so fast since he'd met and fell in love with TK. He had always wanted a family, but he hadn't thought it would walk into his life the way it had. TK had worried that he wouldn't want Gabriella, but he loved the little girl. The doctor had been off with the math, in his favor thankfully. TK's ex wasn't the father of their sweet little angel. He would have loved her even if she had been someone else's. He'd never let her doubt she was loved and he hadn't let TK doubt how much he loved them both.
He still remembered when he'd come home finding TK waiting for him on the porch. He'd looked like he hadn't seen him besides at the police station. He'd unlocked the door and picked him up ignoring his protests he could walk. TK hadn't put up a fight though he'd laid his head against him. He'd carried him up the stairs to the bed. He hadn't even asked TK what was wrong until after he'd had him undressed holding him. He'd promised him that he wasn't going to push him away. He'd made love to him showing him how much he wanted him.
They had talked afterwards which had been when TK told him. He'd seen the fear in his eyes. He'd wanted to take that fear away so badly. He'd spent the last nine months making sure that TK never doubted that he was worthy of being loved. He wanted to crush the man that had made the man he love doubt he was worth more than a good fuck. He'd gone with him to the doctor appointments. He'd made him the weird food he craved not wanting TK to burn the house down. He had finally convinced TK that he wasn't going to leave him. Right before Gabriella had been born, two days to be exact, they'd gotten married. He was lucky because he couldn't ask for anything to be better in his life.
"You going to stand there all night just watching us?" TK asked looking over at his husband.
He was still getting used to the word towards Carlos. He never thought he'd want to do it after what happened with Alex. Carlos had made him see that he could still get an ending that was happy. He had come here after he'd found out he was pregnant. He hadn't thought about using though, he'd just felt terrified. He hadn't been ready for a baby, but that's what he'd created with Carlos. He hadn't been looking for another relationship, he'd made a family instead when he leased expected it.
"I could watch the two of you for the rest of my life." Carlos said pushing away from the door. He walked over leaning down kissing TK getting a whimper from him when he deepened the kiss. "You look hot holding our daughter." He said when he pulled back.
"You do too." TK replied with a smile.
Carlos sat down beside the man he loved putting his arm around him and leaning his head against TK's. He watched their daughter as she kept having her late night snack. He was glad that he had asked TK to dance that night at the bar. He might hate that TK had to hit bottom to find he could be loved, but he didn't know if he would have met him other wise.
"Did you decide if you're going back to work?" Carlos asked.
"I made up my mind a few minutes ago. I'm going to go back after I'm healed." TK answered. "A natural labor hurts like hell so next time you can have the baby." TK grinned. They both had the gene that let them carry a baby.
"I think that can be arranged easily." Carlos smiled kissing the top of their daughter's head.
Once she finished her bottle Carlos took her placing her over his shoulder burping her. When he cradled her in his arms again she kicked her feet out grabbing hold of his shirt. He smiled at the little girl who was the perfect mix of TK and him in one little person. He knew she was going to be spoiled by the 126 family. He had been scared to death when he'd told his parents. He'd thought they wouldn't understand. They were more traditional and never talked about him being gay even though they said they'd loved him at seventeen when he'd told them. They had put his mind at ease and they adored their granddaughter.
"She's going to break so many hearts. I just hope she doesn't grow up too fast. I'm going to be terrified when she's a teenager though. I gave my parents so much hell." TK said holding onto his daughter's little hand that wasn't holding onto her dad that they both loved.
"We'll face that together, but for now we're going to enjoy the present." Carlos said.
They sat there watching Gabriella until she fell asleep. Her little body cradled in her dad's arms. Carlos wanted to freeze time to stay in the moment forever. He also wanted to watch the little angel grow up to see who she could become. He stood up after TK got up so they could place her in the crib. The crib that TK had put together while he'd been on leave.
He had come home finding TK on the floor with one of his hoodies on, string in his mouth glaring at the parts. He'd looked adorable and he'd finally gotten it together without much problem. It was helpful that TK could read a couple different languages. The instructions hadn't come in English. He'd taken a picture before he'd sat beside his husband watching him work. He always loved watching his man working. He still got hard thinking about TK with a sledge hammer in his hands. Someone had taken the picture when he'd been taking out one of the walls at the fire house. He might have gotten TK to play it out, by wearing his turnout gear.
"Let's go before she wakes up. The cameras here and we can watch her sleep in the bedroom." TK said even though he didn't want to leave her alone.
"If we must." Carlos sighed taking hold of TK's hand walking them out of the room. He didn't know how he had gotten so lucky.
