Thousands of years after the war between the Homeworld Gems and the Crystal Gems, a human named Stevonnie, came upon a weapon used in the war that they use to protect the planet from giant creatures made of light. With this weapon and the gem inhabiting the weapon Stevonnie shall protect the planet Earth as the newest Gem Guardian, Ultraman Gem.

This is an Alternate Universe crossover of Steven Universe and Ultraman, specifically Ultraman Geed.

Pink Diamond, who many respected as one of the Great Diamond Authority, but was not well respected among her fellow Diamonds, was given a planet to colonize in the name of Gem kind. A planet known as Earth. At first Pink Diamond did not know what to think about the planet, other than it just being another planet to colonize and create more gems. Nothing incredibly special at all.

That was until she made the decision to go down to the planet alongside her trusty Pearl.

Since she made the journey to Earth and saw all there was to see, Pink Diamond knew something that she should have thought long before. She thought that the planet should not be colonized and all life on the planet should remain as they are. She tried to tell the other Diamonds about her epiphany, but no matter how hard she tried to convince Blue Diamond and Yellow Diamond, they would not listen and ordered her to continue with the colonization. She also tried to voice her concerns with the most powerful Diamond of all, White Diamond, but she would not even give her a response.

Fearing that she was on her own Pink Diamond thought then that the only way to make sure life on Earth would remain intact then she would have to force the colonization to come to a halt. But she could not do it as herself, which led her to assume a new identity, one that would lead the Diamonds astray, she assumed the identity of a Rose Quartz and along with her Pearl she declared the planet will be left alone.

Thus, began the war.

For hundreds of years there was nothing but endless conflict between the gems under the orders of the other Diamonds, and the gems Pink Diamond, now known as Rose Quartz, recruited. Many gems have been shattered during the war and back then there did not seem to be any indication of who would come out on top.

Fearing that they were being pushed to corner Yellow Diamond called upon the assistance of one of her commanding officers known as, Hessonite. Hessonite deployed a weapon that would turn the tide of the war in their favor, a prism that had the power to create giant creatures of light to fight by their side and destroy all the Crystal Gems. With the prism at the Diamonds disposal Rose Quartz started to lose hope, with many of her warriors and friends broken and shattered.

But just when she feared she needed to give up her friend and weapon maker, Bismuth, provided her with the solution to their problem. Knowing the threat of the giant creatures of light the prism makes, Bismuth thought to introduce those creatures to a warrior that would even the odds, a device that, with certain capsules connected to it, would give the bearer up to two or more gems powers without the use of fusion, a Gem Centurion.

With the Gem Centurion on her side Rose Quartz was able to push back the giant creatures of light, although this did not stop the Diamonds attacks. After several more years of fighting Rose concluded that there may be only one way to stop the Diamonds from attacking.

Pink Diamond had to be shattered.

With the help of Pearl, despite her lack of willingness to go through with the plan, carried out the greatest act of deception, Pink Diamond and Pearl, disguised as Rose Quartz, faked the shattering of Pink Diamond fooling the gems on both sides of the war. Pink Diamond was no more, all that was left was Rose Quartz.

Distraught by what had happened the Diamonds refused to let Rose Quartz win this way. Using all their power Yellow, Blue, and White Diamond casted a giant beam of light that would cover the entire planet which they believed would destroy the forms of all gems remaining on the planet, their own soldiers as well, but sacrifices had to be made. With Rose Quartz still out of commission from the fake shattering Pearl and her friend Garnet, the fusion of a Ruby and Sapphire, prepared for the worst.

But just as the light was about to reach them, fearing that Rose Quartz would not make it in time, Bismuth used the device, as well as a Rose Quartz capsule and a Pearl capsule, transformed herself into a Rainbow Quartz Gem Centurion given her the powers of Rose Quartz and Pearl at the same time. With her new form she brought out Rose's shield to protect her friends.

And it worked, the beam of light reflected off them, leaving them perfectly fine, Bismuth, however, not so much. The Rose Quartz capsule was not perfectly made, and she was only lucky to use Rose's shield, but in doing so, along with the beam of light, caused Bismuth to lose her form.

Reforming, only to see the damage that has been done, Rose Quartz was devastated, the Diamonds left the planet at last, but at the cost of all the gems and her friend. But that was last they have seen of the Diamonds or the Prism that created the giant monsters of light. At the same time was last they have seen of Bismuth, despite all Rose tried to heal her friend, it was also time they never used the Gem Centurion again.
