"We" Natsu asked before seeing and upside down purple figure with ram and he spun around and saw a somewhat menacing looking being that had a similar appearance to the golden figure
"Hello Natsu" the purple figure said as he looked at him with interest
"Oh god ok what is this" Natsu said blankly getting some laughs from the two figures who then transformed into dragons making Natsu stare at them in slight awe and amazement
"We have come to ask for your assistance" the golden figure said to him
"Before I ask what are you" Natsu said to them
"We are gods-Oh hell no" the purple figure was saying before Natsu interrupted him
"Screw gods" Natsu said remembering all the gods and false idols he had faced
The purple figure laughed at Natsu's blatant disrespect "I told you brother this one was special" he said to him "a true being that lived up to our expectations of what we had desired" he said to his brother

The golden figure then explained certain events of what had happened in their world which was separate from Natsu's

"Listen Natsu Salem's plan is to gather the relics causing chaos and destruction and mistrust between everyone wishing for us to destroy the world for it being unworthy and we'd like you to stop it" the golden figure said to him

"Our word is somewhat binding" the purple figure said to him sounding less than pleased sounding like he preferred more disorder and chaos "when we come to an agreement it must be fulfilled with a few exceptions" he said glaring at his brother knowing about his certain action after they left the earth

"Thanks for helping you didn't have to do that" the girl said to him as he looked completely human something which most faunus she knew would want to just blend in and pass as human
"I did" Natsu said as he extended his hand "sorry forgot to introduce myself I'm Natsu Dragneel" he said to her

"Here's my scroll number" Natsu said as he had to get one as Jinn wanted him to learn and research on his own and not rely on her as his own personal encyclopedia

"Beowolves quick but pathetic if you get a good hit" Natsu said as he was learning how to fight different grimm and comparing them to the things he fought as children 'blood' he thought as he picked up the scent

"Mind telling me who you are" Qrow asked him as he tucked in his nieces in their wagon having no camping materials

"Natsu you need to run" Jinn said seeing many grimm arrive some of the more aggressive species

Salem raised a brow at his declaration and soon heard bone cracking and saw he gained a set of dragon wings and he flew away being chased by her nevermore 'hmm you'll kill me perhaps my daughters did send me something useful' she thought to herself as her ultimate goal was death

"Natsu you need to glide down you're barely conscious" Jinn said yelling at him in concern as Natsu was bleeding slightly as he flew and was running on fumes and saw he was losing scales and falling faster "Natsu" she said yelling his name loudly and repeatedly
Natsu soon dropped and after a few minutes he felt himself crash through glass
"Well this is interesting I wanted to meet you but this is certainly one way to make an entrance" Ozpin said as he looked at the child
(1 week later)
"Shit did I die again" Natsu said as he felt sore
"Interesting turn of phrase" Ozpin said to him
"Oh it's you fuck off dumbass" Natsu said to him getting a laugh out of Qrow as he fell unconscious
"I swear I love this kid I mean never stops being entertaining with him" Qrow said with a grin
"He had this" Ozpin said as he raised a sword knowing he'd recognize it
"Raven" Qrow said seeing the sword
"Ozpin what are you doing" Glynda said as she saw him light a candle next to the child
"Testing something" Ozpin said grabbing the resting boy's hand and brought it over the flame getting complaints from Glynda "no screams of pain and no burns" he said looking at the boy's hand
"Hold on I have an idea" Qrow said reaching into his pocket pulling out some ammo and took out some red dust crystals and tossed one into Natsu's mouth all of them hearing a swallow
"Have you lost your mind dust is poisonous to people especially for consumption" Glynda said to him in anger that he just did that
"Look" Qrow said as he pointed at Natsu who just burped a small breath of fire
"Fascinating" Ozpin said in wonder
"What is that sound" Ironwood said as he hear the whispering of the wind
"Is he eating air" Qrow said as he saw Natsu taking air in but his body was not expanding
"Ozpin this boy is powerful we need him in this fight" Ironwood said as he dodged another punch courtesy of Glynda
"He's too powerful to ignore" Ozpin said as he was sure grimm did this to him and not just any grimm it was grimm under Salem's orders
"And is listening to this conversation" Natsu said as he woke up moments ago as he was going in and out of consciousness "listen buddy there are limits to the amount of crazy from some chicks you decide to screw" he said blacking out
Ozpin froze at what he said knowing the meaning
"Such vulgar language from a child" Glynda said in disapproval
"What was he talking about" Ironwood asked Ozpin
"I think it's clear that the kid knows one of Ozpin's former conquests" Qrow said jokingly "hear that Glynda he's into crazy so you're just his type" he said and soon got a broken nose and a punch below the belt
Ozpin was glad no one dug deeper but had to admit Natsu was right
(next day)
"Oh good you're alive" Jinn said as she looked him over
"Not gonna die like that Jinn" Natsu said to her simply
"Hey kid" Qrow said as he was assigned to watch Natsu
"Oh it's you" Natsu said to weak to make a proper escape
"Yeah mind explaining why you have this" Qrow said referring to the sword as he recognized it as Raven's first blade
"Your sister gave it to me" Natsu said seeing him raise a brow at the mention of give "ok she gave it to me saying no child shouldn't have a weapon and a way to entice me into joining her tribe of idiots" he said getting a nod as Qrow believed that
"See now that I can believe" Qrow said as he had a low opinion of his sister and her morals but he did respect her a small amount as she still had a little humanity "is a sword your choice of weapon" he asked him curiously as not many took up the sword usually preferring something more flashy or something that had smaller blades
"Yeah it's a weapon I'm well acquainted with" Natsu said to him
"You know you can try and design your own weapon" Qrow said bringing out his weapon harbinger
"Cool" Natsu said as that was impressive
"Yeah a sword/shotgun/scythe" Qrow said proud of the weapon he designed after his idol the 'Grim Reaper'
"It looks amazing" Naruto said as he thought is was awesome
"You want the design" Qrow said he always wanted a protege and even though he was passing on his knowledge of scythe wielding to Ruby he always wanted an apprentice and if Raven gave him her former sword he must've been skilled
"That'd be awesome" Natsu said as he saw the weapon change and shift
(next day)
"You gave him your old harbinger" Ironwood asked Qrow in surprise
"Yep" Qrow said as like his sister he never got rid of his first weapon but as he grew he needed to adjust and remake his weapon to fit his size
"Let's see how he fairs" Ozpin said wanting to see Natsu in action
"You want him to use the testing grounds" Glynda said as she couldn't argue much at all as even though it was dangerous the danger was limited as their were rarely any older more dangerous grimm
"And with all the cameras we can see him in action" Ironwood said as he updated the cameras in the training grounds
"This is gonna be awesome….where are your booze Oz" Qrow asked looking around
(2 hours later)
"Look at him go" Qrow said as Natsu had only been using the sword part of harbinger and so far had killed 50 beowolves and 20 ursa
"He's adapting as he fights look" Ozpin said as he showed the earlier footage and played it "he's studying them learning how each fight their 'fighting style' if you will and is able to predict them more easily" he said as to them
"I see how he was able to deal with my men so well" Ironwood as he had seen more impressive feats but for someone of this age was phenomenal
"Oh shit" Qrow said as he saw a manticore and a Nuckelavee approach as those were much trouble for the average huntsman even he would need some assistance
"Wait" Ozpin said as he saw the glare he was getting from the others "let us see how he fairs" he said to them
"Oz are you serious he just took on all those grimm" Qrow said to him in shock
"This is asinine I'm going" Glynda said as she ran out
"What is that" Ironwood said as he saw Qrow's old harbinger glowed orange
"He's channeling his power through his blade" Ozpin said as that was an impressive feat as most huntsman couldn't do that skill or preferred to stick to shielding and healing themselves with their aura
"Come at me" Natsu said grinning at the grimm
"Are we positive he's not yours or worse Raven's" Ironwood asked Qrow letting a relieved sigh as Qrow shook his head
Natsu and the manticore charged each other and he cut right through it's head as he dodged a claw the manticore sent his way and quickly ducked dodging the Nuckelavee's stretched arms slicing one off
"Whoa" Qrow said in amazement as the reaction time was perfect and acting on instinct afterwards made it more impressive 'this kid has been fighting all his life' he thought as the boy was to skilled for it to be anything else as his survival instincts were something he saw in him and his sister
"Those grimm were not new they were older" Ozpin said as telling the age of grimm was a bit tricky but he could narrow it down somewhat "a decade or more perhaps" he said as they looked at Natsu fighting the one armered Nuckelavee soon killing it and saw Glynda arrive just as Natsu killed it
(few hours later)
"No to both of you" Ozpin said to Glynda and Ironwood as bot wanted custody over Natsu
"Ozpin his talents need to be nurtured he's already incredibly powerful and in Atlas he could personally be trained by me and I could refine Natsu's skills" Ironwood said to him
"No he is a child something I feel is troubling I have to keep bringing up he needs guidance and direction" Glynda said to them angrily
"I have already decided Natsu's guardian" Ozpin said to them
"Who Lionheart" Glynda said sarcastically as she always thought the man as more of a mouse than any feline
"No Qrow Branwen" Ozpin said making Qrow choke on his booze and Ironwood and Glynda to choke on their own spit in shock "Qrow has some experience with children he's a professor and a successful huntsman and should the need that he need to go on a mission he can leave Natsu with some close family" he said to them in a voice that left no room for argument
"Are you sure it'll be safe" Qrow said as he was always afraid of getting close to family with his 'condition'
"You'll be fine or more accurately he will" Ozpin said as he felt Natsu would do well in Qrow's guidance and it would do nice for Qrow as well
"Ugh sir the medical reports and blood work are done" a woman said appearing on the screen as a file was sent to all of them
"He has heterochromia" Glynda asked as she had Natsu under full medical evaluation for the time of his unconsciousness and had just read the report "he has brown eyes how is that possible" she asked as she saw a picture and then saw traces of pure black in one and silver in the other 'interesting' she thought to herself
"One silver eye" Qrow asked Ozpin wondering how that worked at all
"His blood shows he's not human or faunus" Ironwood said to the others but more to himself
"Then what the hell is he" Qrow asked curiously as this was getting weirder
"Perhaps time will tell" Ozpin said as he for once was clueless
(few days later)
"So you cause bad things to happen" Naruto asked as they were walking
"Yeah my semblance is misfortune I'm not always in control of it" Qrow said to him a little sad about that
"Then stop being afraid and live with it" Natsu said to him surprising the grown man "if bad things happen is it necessarily your fault or was it the cause of something else you can't bear the wait of every bad thing that happens and even if you do cause bad things to happen try to make sure they don't happen don't isolate yourself" he said to him not batting an eye
'He kinda sounded like Ozpin...but more aggressive like Raven' Qrow thought to himself as that was a scary thought
(1 hour later)
"So your the guy" Yang asked Natsu who was sitting in a tree relaxing
"Depends on what you mean" Natsu said as he didn't open his eyes
"You saved me and Ruby" Yang said as she remembered him clearly in her mind
"Yeah how is the little flower girl" Natsu asked as the girl smelt like roses and cookies
"She's fine no thanks to me" Yang said sadly
"Don't say that you wanted to protect her and that was all that mattered" Natsu said as he knew the whole story from when he first met Qrow "listen Yang people aren't always what they're cracked up to be" he said as people didn't always meet the expectations of others
Yang lowered her head as she had gotten vague answers like that in the past and they were always about her mother
"C'mon" Natsu said hoping down from the tree
"And do what" Yang asked him curiously
"You need to train" Natsu said simply taking a stance "you don't want a repeat of what happened do you" he said aiming for certain buttons he knew needed to be pressed as he saw this before with Mira when she thought she lost Lisanna
Yang's eyes became red at the mention of that event
(1 hour later)
"Uncle Qrow who's that" Ruby said cutely as she looked at her sister trying to fight a boy
"An apprentice of mine" Qrow said as Ruby began to whine "don't worry I'll still teach you kid" he said ruffling up her hair
"His hair is really pretty" Ruby said looking at his hair
"Why don't you tell him that" Qrow said with a smirk "or better yet tell him in front of your dad" he said wanting a show
(later that day)
"What happened to you" Blake asked as she called Natsu as they called each other occasionally and she was looking at Natsu with a few scapes
"Training" Natsu said as he was perfectly fine after his spar with Yang but then he got cocky and challenged Qrow
"Must be intense it's nice to hear from you" Blake said with a smile as she always looked forward to these chats
"Likewise" Natsu said to her with a smile as calling Blake was nice as they always talked about their current situations often offering the other advice or any help they could
"I gotta go justice never sleeps" Blake said to him as she hung up
Just as Natsu was gonna hit the hey he got another call "hey snow princess" he said with a chuckle as he saw Weiss pouting a little
"Hey flame head" Weiss said as they chuckled as she had grown accustomed to him and his nicknames for her
"How's the family" Natsu asked often asking about them as he knew Weiss needed to vent from the pain she felt as her father was an ass, mother was spiraling, her sister was becoming emotionally distant, and her brother was also dealing with the harshness of the father
"The same" Weiss said with a sigh as she talked to him
"Listen all you need to do is call and I'll be there" Natsu said as he rush there as fast as he could
"I know" Weiss said with a small smile and blush as she felt like a princess at times and Natsu was her white knight
(6 months later)
"I swear I hate coming here" Qrow said as they landed in Atlas
"Listen I come here for a friend so suck it up" Natsu said as he also hated coming here but he sucked it up for Weiss
"Yeah and we have an appointment" Qrow said as he hated that Ozpin was allowing Ironwood to 'test' Natsu on his progress
"Fine" Natsu said as he hated dealing with him and his ass kissing as the man was a egotistical and preferred his way of thinking compared to the others
(1 hour later)
"What was that" Qrow asked Ironwood with a glare "those kids their powers" he said as he saw the fight "they were to counter Natsu" he said in anger
"We need a way to test troops Qrow and the sooner we can get people to go toe to toe with Natsu Remnant will be a much safer place" Ironwood said to him
"We're done he's not doing this shit again am I understood" Qrow said angrily as he left
(few minutes later)
"You know I never thought I'd experience the high life" Qrow said as he drank from a fancy glass and had his flask refilled
"Can I ask you something" Willow asked the somewhat drunk man
"Shoot" Qrow asked curiously
"What does Natsu hope to get out of his friendship with my daughter" Willow asked him simply
"Are you an idiot he wants nothing" Qrow said to her
"He must want something" Willow asked not wanting her daughter to suffer some of the same things she had with her husband
"Well right now he probably wants food but other than that he wants nothing" Qrow said as Natsu had no selfish desire only wanting to fight and to know that his friends were safe
Willow just watched in the distance seeing the children interact and laugh 'I hope for the best Weiss' she thought to herself
(few weeks later)
"Hey Tai quick question" Qrow said walking into his 'brother's' kitchen
"Sure what's up" Tai said to him
"8 year olds don't have sex right" Qrow asked him making Tai look at him curiously
"Qrow Natsu just turned 8 yesterday this is probably some parental crisis your facing which is sorta good" Tai said as Natsu and Qrow were more father son than either would admit
"No Tai Natsu is in bed with two chicks right now" Qrow said to him as the blonde man ran upstairs and saw a girl with white hair and another with blue hair
(flashback yesterday)
"So whatcha wish for" Yang asked Natsu poking his side
"Can't tell you if won't come true then" Natsu said teasingly as he was happy to celebrate his birthday with his friends

'I wish I could see my friends again' Natsu's voice said ringing through a certain dimension
"Still so noble" the purple figure said boredly
"Yes he is" the golden figure said with a chuckle
The two brothers were brought out of their conversation as two light appeared one light and one dark
"How in the name of everything did you two get here" the purple figure said as he saw two familiar figures "Mavis Vermillion and Zeref Dragneel" he said knowing full well who they were
"Gods of Darkness and Light we are here to make a request" Mavis said to them
"And what is that request" the god of light asked her curiously
"We'd like you to send some of Natsu's friends to him" Zeref said to them
"Please grant my child his wish" Mavis said seeing all the guild as her family and saw each and every one of them as her children
Both brothers looked at the other and began to debate
"Alright we will answer his wish but there will only be 2 and you both have to choose one person" the god of darkness said to them
Zeref thought of the members of Fairy Tail he knew and settled on one
Mavis herself knew of one person that'd be perfect to help Natsu
(Magnolia)
Mirajane Strauss was visiting a memorial dedicated to Natsu never once not seeing a new set of flowers whenever she visited "we miss you Natsu" she said speaking a little more for herself as she remembered Natsu's kind heart and compassion, she remembered all the times he comforted her when Lisanna was thought to be dead remembering how he remained so strong for everyone
(few minutes later)
Mirajane was a little confused when she saw all the shocked and scared looks on everyone's faces in the guild and when she saw what they were looking at she became joyful then enraged as she first saw the first master and then Zeref "you have some nerve" she said angrily
"Mira stand down" Makarov said to her "Natsu is alive" he said making the Strauss freeze over
"Natsu is in another world and Zeref and I can send two people there but know this there is no way back" Mavis said as she saw some of the cheers die down a little
"I'll go" Wendy said as she stepped forward despite Carla's protests
Mavis smiled as she was secretly hoping for Wendy as the girl being a dragon slayer and having a bond with Natsu was a major plus, she snapped her fingers and Wendy was gone
"Listen you bastard" Mira said as she walked up to Zeref looking him dead in the eyes her blue meeting his red "I hate you" she said simply
"Ok" Zeref said as he wasn't expecting anything else from the guild as he played a small role in his brother's disappearance from this world
"I'm going Natsu would do the same for me for anyone and everyone in this guild" Mira said as she got many cheers and she soon did a quick goodbye with her siblings
Zeref smiled as Mira was his choice to begin with as she knew the importance of family and the pain of loss in some ways he saw himself in the girl, he waited till the siblings were done before sending her away like Mavis did for Wendy
(end of flashback)
"Hey I'm confused should I be proud of this" Qrow said having a drink
Tai was at a loss for words as he lost his tongue not knowing what to say
(1 hour later)
"I think someone is jealous" Qrow said laughing as Tai watched Yang's eyes become red as she watched Natsu sparing with Mira
"She's too young to date" Tai said firmly
Qrow decided not to say anything and just continued to watch Natsu train
(with Mira)
"Man this world sucks" Mira said as she was a little ticked she was an 8 year old but quickly adapted to it and after a spar with Natsu he informed her of this world's history
"Yeah wanna go fight some grimm" Natsu asked her and she quickly nodded
"Where's Wendy" Mira asked curiously
"Playing with Ruby" Natsu said as despite the age difference the two got along beautifully
(1 hour later)
"Beowolf huh" Mira asked Natsu as he saw one in the distance and she was examining it
"Yeah so still have your take over magic" Natsu asked her curiously
"Yeah but I have none of my transformations" Mira said a little ticked about that and wanted to try it on the grimm
Natsu tackled the Beowolf and let Mira touch it and soon saw her gain some claws and fangs a wolf tail and soon her blue eyes became red
"Hmmm I like it" Mira said as she favored dogs more than cats
(next day)
"Why is the ground shaking" Tai asked as he felt the ground rumble
Before Qrow could attempt to answer Yang and Ruby were blown in
"That was awesome lets go again" Ruby asked in childish excitement
Everyone rushed outside feeling violent winds
"Come to see the show" Mira said as Natsu and Wendy were sparing and they were getting more and more aggressive 'dragon slayers' she thought as they were a spectacle to behold
(1 month later)
"This seems dangerous" Wendy said as they were on a 'mission' hearing rumours about a very old deathstalker
"Well Natsu needs to sate his battle lust and I need a new takeover" Mira said as a deathstalker was higher on the food chain of grimm as she only had an ursa and beowulf transformation not really much for combat as they were low on the food chain
Wendy had a bad feeling about this as Qrow often remarked they were above average huntsman skill wise and she believed it but she knew there were enemies that were stronger than them
(1 hour later)
"Screw you" Mira said as she and Natsu were trying to kill a deathstalker
"Arms and armor" Wendy said as she gave them some protection
"Fire dragon sword horn" Natsu said as he smashed the deathstalker into the ground causing it to go limp
"Nice" Mira said as she gained a scorpion tail and some plated armor over her skin
"That was awesome" Natsu said as they high fived
Wendy giggled as she thought this was fun but as they celebrated she went stiff "get down" she yelled
Time seemed to slow down for Natsu as he looked in the corner of his eye he saw the deathstalker's tail come at them, despite all his self preservatory instincts Natsu got in the way of the stinger and pushed Wendy and Mira out of the way
The two watched as Natsu was stabbed in the chest
Natsu was numb not feeling any pain yet 'I won't die alone' he thought grabbing his sword and swiped it down cutting off the creature's stinger making it scream as it bled out
(few minutes later)
"Please don't die" Wendy said as she had her hands over Natsu's stab wound her hands covered in the deathstalkers golden venom "please I need you" she said as Natsu was always there for her when she needed him "this is not how you die" she said firmly
Mira could only watch helplessly in horror as she felt like Lisanna was dying again 'this is my fault' she thought as she was the one who offered to go on this mission
Natsu's eyes looked exhausted as he looked at them and smiled "I'm not gonna die I promise" he said with a smile surprising the two

"I swear no matter how many times I see it he never ceases to amaze me" Zeref said to Mavis
Mavis could only smile as Natsu truly inherited the spirit of Fairy Tail
The brother gods smiled as they were impressed
(few days later)
"You are insane I hope you know" Qrow said to Natsu as even though a deathstalker wasn't very strong it's armor was very strong it was very hard to break even more so as time went on for it so an old one that they fought was a little much
"Yeah thanks" Natsu said as he was currently resting still healing from his stab wound
"I'm sorry" Mira said right next to him with tears in her eyes
"It's ok" Natsu said cupping her cheek gently "I was apart of that just as you were we all knew the risk" he said with a smile
Mira just sat there and cried a little more
(1 week later)
"Hmmm a deathstalker just the three of them" Ozpin asked him curiously
"Yeah and this thing was old Oz I mean really old" Qrow said as he had seen the after match of the grimm
"Yes now these two girls Natsu knows them" Ozpin asked curiously as he looked at some pictures Qrow gave him
"Yeah Mirajane Strauss and Wendy Marvel" Qrow said to him as he drank
"The girl Wendy has a similar blood type to Mr Dragneel's" Ozpin said as Qrow took them to a doctor and had them do a check up and had Qrow swipe the vials of blood
"And Mira" Qrow asked curiously
"Human" Ozpin said as that made things simpler
"Ok so two kids with unidentifiable blood what are they Oz they can do crazy stuff as it is also don't tell Jimmy I told you it was a bad idea having him involved with the kid" Qrow said as he was very vocal with his displeasure of Ironwood's testing methods he even got Glynda to help him
"To be honest Qrow I do not know" Ozpin said as that was something that scared him greatly
"So what can they actually be magic" Qrow asked him wanting an answer
"Perhaps nothing we've seen of Natsu is….normal even by a maiden's standards he's mysterious" Ozpin said to him "anyway I hear you are going to Mistral" he asked wanting to strike some conversation to distract him
"Yeah Natsu wanted to enter some kinda jr tournament" Qrow said as Mistral was a great place they had tournaments all "the actual tournament isn't for like a year this is just some preliminary kinda thing" he said as the tournaments were widely known as they were only second to the festivals here in Vale which were only yearly but in Mistral it was every few months but the one Natsu entered was a tough one
"I'll buy a ticket" Ozpin said as he meant that as he wanted to see Natsu in action as he wanted to see more than just the footage
(2 months later)
"So what you doing so late" Qrow asked seeing Natsu making modifications to his old weapon
"I'm changing the metal of the sword" Natsu said as he took off the metal and placed a slightly darker metal to it
'Iron…no' Qrow thought as he made a mental list of metals "you mixed tungsten with the metal I use for my sword" he said as that was smart as Natsu's fire could mess with the metal when he channeled his power through the sword tungsten would reduce that and with Natsu's strength he'd hardly feel the difference
"Yeah" Natsu said to him as he then took out some black shells and opened them up and then cut his hand
"Whoa kid what are you doing" Qrow said a little surprised to see him pouring his blood in the black open shells
"An experiment here" Natsu said tossing him two shells "take a shot" he said with a grin
Qrow hummered him and used his shells and was surprised when he did as burning and explosive shots left his gun and charged everything in their path 'kid is gonna annihilate things with this ammo' he thought to himself
(1 month later)
"C'mon please" Ruby said beggingly
"Not a damn chance" Natsu said to the little girl
"Awwww" Ruby said as she pouted
"You're cute Ruby but not that cute" Mira said with a chuckle as she watched Ruby desperately beg to use Natsu's special ammo
Wendy smiled as she looked at Ruby knowing how it felt to be the runt of the group as she once held that position so it was easier for her to understand the little girl
(9 months later)
Ozpin was watching Natsu's fights carefully and was a little disappointed as Natsu was fighting without using his power and his skills were exceptional for someone his age 'his matches barely last a minute and he's in the finals hopefully Ms Nikos can bring out his talent' he thought to himself
"Ladies and gentlemen here are your champions Natsu Dragneel and Pyrrha Nikos" an announcer said to the crowd
Both fighters stared at one another and simultaneously they rushed each other
'Magnetism' Natsu thought to himself as he felt the angle of his sword get changed slightly 'time to turn up the heat' he thought as he smirked
'Heat waves impressive' Ozpin said seeing the distortions around Natsu 'he's nullifying her polarity with heat' he thought impressed with Natsu's reasoning
(1 hour later)
Natsu and Pyrrha were covered in sweat, bruises, and cuts but as both looked at the other Pyrrha finally gave out and fell unconscious
"The winner is Natsu Dragneel" the announcer said loudly as the stadium erupted in cheers
(few minutes later)
"Congrats kid here" Qrow said tossing him his flask "enjoy a celebratory drink" he said getting dirty looks from the nurses
"Hey" Natsu said seeing Pyrrha wake up
"I think they need some time alone" Qrow said to the nurses who sighed and gave in
"You were amazing" Pyrra said to him with a smile
"So were you" Natsu said with a smile
The two sat there and began to talk mostly about training and fighting
(outside the infirmary)
'I swear she's like Erza but with a Natsu like personality' Mira thought as she and Qrow were outside
"So you gonna make a move" Qrow asked as he took out another flask
"What are you on about" Mira asked him with a raised brow
"You like him" Qrow said teasingly not hiding his smirk "you tease him constantly and if that ain't a sign a girl likes a guy I don't what is" he said as he had seen Mira interact with Natsu and knew she liked to tease him but it was more than that as he noticed she brightened up in his presence
Mira just gave him a harsh glare and they stood there in silence
Natsu and Pyrra just continued to talk not noticing the time that went by

'His power just keeps growing' Salem thought with a smile 'you will be mine Natsu in time' she thought to herself
(later at Beacon)
'Natsu I hope you will be ready for the future' Ozpin thought as he walked coming to a conclusion about a certain dragon slayer 'you just might be the hero that the world needs' he thought to himself as for once in a long time he saw a flicker of hope for the world

"The world seems balanced" the god of darkness said to his brother "or as close as with Salem" he said sourly hating that particular human "besides Natsu how will your chosen fair" he asked his brother curiously
"My chosen as you put it have done their best but there are a few that stood above the rest" the god of light said as he peered on a little girl sucking on a cookie as she slept and another who had lost her eyes and lost her way "but life is funny brother dark times are what bring us closer together sometimes" he said to his brother
"Ah yes the paradox" the god of darkness said as he had to admit ever since their separation he and his brother had become closer "it is always darkest before the dawn and good doesn't always last forever and all that" he said as he knew neither of them was a constant as the other would always appear somehow or somewhere
