Hey everyone, so this is the second part to procrastinated. I want this one to be clearly better. I'm going to try my best to stick to 3k words per chapter. I know word count doesn't equal quality but I want to test myself. I don't have a hard time with 2k words per chapter plus I'm holding for 11-13chapters. I'm between I'll probably do some tweaks to can't catch a breakin between. Anyways hope you enjoy.

3:45 AM

A certain husky stretched her legs and took in the cool bay breeze. She turned onto her back to get some air. Her head dropped over to her left and read the clock. "shit" she mumbled under her breath.

She shot up and ran over to a duffel bag, pup pack, and a mask.

1 month prior

Gasket laid down on a dark blue dog bed. She was on her back looking at the ceiling of a small hotel room. A short, but fit man walked into the room. He had a cigarette in his mouth, a gun on his right in a holster, and a noticeable leather jacket. "Henry right?" Gasket asked as she stood up.

He didn't reply. He just gave a nod.

"Cool, I'm assuming you're in here because you want money. So here's the dealio my... homio. You get me a duffle bad and pup pack and I'll go rob adventure bay bank. If I die, you can peel this..." Gasket held up the small blue diamond trying to persuade him to agree. She continued "you can peel this off my dead body." Gasket finished.

"Done, I want 30% of what you get."

"Slow it down there cowboy. I also want your services in the future." Gasket added.

"Fine. I might have some clean duffle bags." Henry said as he starts to walk out.

"Why would they be dirty?" Gasket asked curiously. She didn't have any other answer in why... then it hit her. "You're a hitman right?"

He nodded.

"I don't wanna know the answer." She nervously chuckled.

BEEP BEEEP BEEP

Zuma groaned as he rolls over to slap his alarm clock. He slid open his door walked outside. Morning daylight is bright enough to lead him around the lookout without turning the lights on.

He walks up to the sink and turns the faucet on and dips his head under the water for 2 seconds before regretting his decision. Feeling wide awake he shakes his head. His paw searches for a towel or rag to dry his face off.

He walked out letting the door hang there. It let out a reasonably loud bang causing him to pick up the pace and start to run across the bridge hoping to avoid and a confrontation with the pups.

Gasket looks through windows with two other pups on her side. "So, are we gonna run in when on of them opens that gate? We only have enough explosives to blow the vault." One of them said.

Gasket gave it a quick run over. "Whatever. It'll bring the cops." She smiled.

"Every time we do this you always want the cops here. Why?" The second one said.

They all noticed a security guard walking around with a key card. "Let's go." Sylvia ordered.

They put on their masks and ran in.

They shot some warning shots into the air. "IF YOU WANT TO LIVE ANOTHER DAY GET ON THE GROUND!" One of them yelled.

Gasket and the other dog pointed their guns at the security guard. "Give me the cars and drop your gun. Don't make me peel it of your dead body." Gasket threatened.

He instantly dropped his gun and handed them the card. They sprinted over to the gate and ran downstairs.

"Hurry up, once this thing blows cops will show up." A Rottweiler said as he placed the charges on the edges of the vault. Sylvia prepared herself. She had her duffel bag and paws ready.

They slowly started to heat up. "What are we waiti-

The charges exploded leaving smoke everywhere. They both started to cough. "Did it *cough* work?" Gasket asked.

A loud thud could be heard. Seconds after the bank alarms went off. The smoke started to spread out more making it easier to see.

Gasket sprinted inside. There was one good pile of cash sitting on top of a table. She left the duffel bag at the edge of the table on the floor then jumped on top of the table and started to push it into the bag.

She pushed off the extra cash that didn't fit and zipped it up.

"Let's go!" Gasket yelled.

"Ella!" Zuma called out. He looked around the beach and she was nowhere to be seen. "Dang she blends in with the sand." Zuma mumbled.

Zuma jumped.

"What?" Ella asked from behind.

Zuma let out a sigh of relief. "You scawed me" he chuckled.

"I brought some snacks." Ella said as she runs towards the pier. Zuma followed but he wasn't gaining at all. They ended up going to the bottom of it.

Zuma looked at the pile of food. "Popcorn?" Zuma asked.

"Yeah, it's already popped. Just cold." Ella innocently smiled.

Zuma shrugged at the thought of cold popcorn. There were all kinds of food. "So we just gonna sit hewe and eat?" Zuma asked.

"There are some surf boards up top of you wanna surf after." Ella suggested.

Zuma instantly nodded. Surfing is one of, if not his favorite thing to do in his past time.

"Dispatch 1-4 we have an active robbery at Adventure Bay Bank."

Chase groaned. He processed the sentence and his eyes shot wide open.

He sprinted inside and started to look for his vest. He mumbled under his breath as he looked for it. He flipped pillows, checked under couches, looked at racks and it was nowhere to be found.

"What are you doing making all this noise? And why is your hat on?" Everest yawns and rubs her eyes. She looked at the frantic German Shepherd turn into a defeated German shepherd. "I can't find my vest..." Chase groans. He falls onto his back and looks at the ceiling. It was calming to just look at the white ceiling. He started to try and call back to the last time he used it.

Everest looked at him. "Your vest it in Marshy's pup house." She said. She felt happy when she saw Chase get up quickly and wag his tail. Then it stopped. "Do you always have to call him Marshy?"

"Yeah, he's my Marshmallow." Everest replied bitterly. "I'm sorry you're mad you don't have someone to love." Everest said.

Chase rolled his eyes. "I gave it a shot and never again." He said as he ran outside and towards Marshall's dog house. "Why would he have it." Chase mumbled to himself.

He opened Marshall's dog house and there it was. In all of its glory. Chase slowly reached his head in to grab it with his mouth. He slowly bites down on it.

After a couple of seconds of patience he got it out and nobody woke up...Besides Everest.

"See ya later." Chase says as he runs past Everest.

Chase turned on the engine. He was gonna turn the sirens on once he got across the bridge.

The 3 robbers sprinted outside. Cop cars were barely showing up. They ran into an alley and started to climb on some boxes that led into anther alley. "Where are we going!?!" The second Rottweiler asked. Both of the Rottweilers were running out of breath. Gasket is fine. "There's a tunnel down here. Our getaway driver should be down here." Gasket said. One fence behind them were cops struggling to climb the last fence. Gasket's blood was pumping.

They jumped another fence. On the floor was the manhole. "WOOOOOO!" She yelled as they ran.

Gasket lifted a lid to a manhole and they all slid down.

"Dispatch 1-4 check the perimeter of the bank." A woman said through Chase's radio. Chase changed his course and watched the west side of the city.

He noticed a manhole lid start to shake.

3 dogs climb out and run towards the pier. Chase gets out of his vehicle and follows them to get some information.

They walk under pier out of sight from Chase. Chase slowly peeked to see gasket and 2 Rottweilers talking. This has been their first confrontation since Gaskets little heist at the lookout. He wanted answers.

"Gasket!" Chase called out as he revealed himself. He started to rethink his decision now that he was facing the two Rottweilers.

"Oh..." Chase mumbled.

Gasket looked at Chase. "Don't tear him up just yet." Gasket ordered. She dropped her duffel bag.

"Why are you doing this?" Chase asked.

cough cough* "still have some dust in here... anyways. Remember when I said I'm going to become the greatest villain... or thief, I'm still deciding. Since they built a bank and police station it has gotten exciting. Running from cops gets your blood pumping. I can't find the right word..." Gasket said as she internally searched for the right word.

"Thrill?" Chase asked.

Her eyes lit up. "YES! That's the word. But not just the thrill. The fame as well. When people hear the word thief, I want them to think of me!" Gasket said as she started to raise her tone. "You... you could be my arch enemy!"

"This ain't some comic book thing where I'm batman and you're cat woman! That crazy talk!" Chase argued. He didn't really know what he was on about. He only knew those character because of Rubble.

Gasket sighed. "You'll regret this!" Chase said.

"Will I?"

"Yeah..."

"We'll look back on this day, you'll think 'damn, I really knew her' and I'll be living the high life! Sitting there on a pile of cash in all my glory and greatness and fame!" Gasket said as she started to day dream again. She got herself back down to earth. "All right I've wasted enough time. You two know where to meet me..." Gasket said as she walked out the other side of the pier.

Ella and Zuma were hiding behind a wooden wall that barely covered them. "Let's talk about this." They heard Chase nervously speak.

"You'll be dead before you even start." One of the Rottweilers said as he charged at Chase.

Chase dodged out of the way but the second was about to bite. Chase lifted his paw up. He rather get bit on the paw rather than his face.

Chase winced in pain before going for his throat. He bit down on it but it wasn't enough to drop the Rottweiler. Soon the other one was back and he head butted Chase across the sand.

"Let me catch...*huff* my b-breath real quick, you *huff* k-knocked the wind out of me." Chase spat out as he took heavy breaths between each word. Chase could smell Zuma in the area. More like where he used to be standing. There was a pile of snacks on the floor. Some were eaten. "Look at that... you can have those and I'll be on my way." Chase joked and he slowly limped backwards.

"We aren't done with you." One said as he reveals his teeth.

Chase looked down at his paw. "You know my paw ain't looking to good. Can we rematch later?" Chase asked.

The two were done with Chase's antics. They both started to circle Chase. "Ruff!* Net!" He called barked.

A Kevlar net shot out of the pup pack and hit one of the Rottweilers. It sent him backwards into a wall. "This is officer Chase I need assistance, I'm under the pi-

Chase was tackled by the remaining Rottweiler. Unfortunately the net gun broke off of the pup pack. Chase used his front two paws to keep the devastating bites away from his face. Every chomp left a loud snap like dropping two pieces of wood of hitting each other. Chase's paw was starting to give out.

A flash of brown covered his face for a bit. The weight and stress of the Rottweiler was gone. He looked to his left and saw Zuma and the Rottweiler fighting in the water.

Chase joined Zuma. Zuma slipped away for a second before latching himself onto the back of the Rottweiler's neck.

Chase picked up the broken net gun and hit it against the Rottweiler's head. Seconds later cops ran in and instantly seized the Rottweiler. "These two were with Gasket, they could be useful for information." Chase instantly said. He wanted to get that out of the way.

He caught Zuma walking towards a familiar golden retriever.

"Heyyyyyy...Zuma!" Chase said and patted his back with his good paw.

"Awe you alwight bwo?" Zuma was at the least concerned for the German Shepherd who looked like he had a couple of shots.

"Yeahhhh dude! Why wouldn't I be okay?" Chase said as he wobbled and slurred his words.

"Hey! Can one of you take him to the vet or Katie's! His paw is bleeding!" Ella called out.

Chase lifted his paw to see it leaking out blood from the bite. "Would you look at th *hiccup* that." Chase said. In a matter of seconds Everything went all black.

Two paramedics came over and lifted Chase. "Here's our number, I know it's sloppy but call this number if you want to find this guy. We're taking him to Adventure Bay Hospital." A female said as they hurried to an ambulance.

Zuma and Ella stood there confused on what to do at the moment. They basically let their friend get kidnapped and all they have to get him back is a phone number. "I feel like I should tell Wyder. It's 5 AM. 1 houw before Chase usually wakes us up." Zuma said as he tapped his pup tag. While it rang Ella had some thoughts of her own. "That was quite scary... and brave. I didn't think you were gonna jump in." Ella admitted.

Zuma raised a non existent brow to Ella's statement. "Z-Zuma? Why are you calling?" Ryder said through the pup tag. By his voice he barely woke up. "So ummmmm Chase is going to the hospital... aaaand me and Ella awe at the beach." Zuma explained.

"WHAT!" He yelled through the pup tag.

"Um... so can I explain at the hospital? I feel like if I start talking they awe gonna take me and Ella with them." Zuma asked.

"Fine, I'll meet you there." Ryder said before ending the call.

Ryder rushed downstairs to see the other pups lined up. "Hey pups, I'm assuming you heard my yell." Ryder nervously chuckled.

"Yep." Rubble replied.

Ryder wasn't really sure what to say. Then it hit him. "I'll explain when at the hospital." He said. The pups noticed Zuma and Chase weren't there. Anytime anyone is with Zuma it doesn't end well. Marshall knows from experience.

Ella groaned"So... we have to walk to the hospital now?" She wasn't in the mood to walk anywhere else. She already made the boring journey here.

Zuma sighed. "Would you rather be answering questions from scawy men in black suits owwwr be answering questions from friends you know to help a friend?" Zuma asked as he exaggerated the situation. He didn't wanna be in a concrete room with a one way window while they listened to him. In every movie 1 of 3 things happens. They get the police twist their arms to get the answers, they get broken out by a lunatic, or they end up in jail. Zuma didn't wanna be in any of those outcomes.

"Fine... we'll go to the hospital... on one condition." Ella said.

"What?" Zuma asked.

"After we do all that, we go surfing." Ella said.

Zuma blankly looked at her. "My fwiend is bleeding A LOT by the way, from his paw and wight after you wanna go surfing?" Zuma asked.

Ella rethought her bargain and quickly changed her mind. "Fine... but can we still go surfing one of these days?" Ella asked with puppy eyes.

"Fine, now let's get going." Zuma said as he sprinted towards the hospital. Ella took after him.

The city was starting to wake up. Light posts turned off, lights from houses turned on, and people who worked early in the morning got ready and turned on their cars.

The pups on the other hand, they are having a rough morning.

"WOOOOOO! LOOK AT THIS CASH BABY!" Gasket yelled as she poured out the green paper onto the floor in front of her newest business partner.

"Impressive, 275 thousand dollars." Henry said as he examined the cash. "And not one bullet hole." He added.

"Told you I'm good at this... .30 times 275 thousand iiiiissssss... 82 ish grand." Gasket said as she slid over about one third of the pile. "Keep the extra, it's on me. On the side note get me that wine bottle. Let's celebrate this success and BEAUTIFUL friendship we have here. We'll go down in history! This really gets your blood pumping... not much of a talker huh." Gasket said as she started to make snow angels in the money.

"No... you've been talking the entire time." Henry smirked as he popped open the champagne bottle and poured it in two glasses.

clink*

"To the thrill!" Gasket started.

"And to the Glory." Henry finished.

And done. Hopefully it didn't turn out that bad. Depends on who reads it. Chapter two coming out April 8th!
