Unknown Road, Earth to Kai's Family Home

Kai had just finished taking a leek on the side of the dirt road on the way back home. As he was moving his Lab from the College. Having had rented a quantum computer in the past from them, he was now forced to use a conventional supercomputer in tandem with his AI partner to develop later tech.

On the flip side the Quantum Computer did help accelerate some tech like the EXO-frame and spare gel and parts for the tech and the know-how to fabricate them from cheap rocks such as limestone and quartz. Kai took some time to pull the truck and it's cargo over to one side to eat a sandwich.

A Big mistake on his part, as if he kept moving he wouldn't have been caught in the purple symbol and light begun to engulf His truck and Himself. Within seconds vanishing without a trace, to a new and dangerous world.

"What the-!?"

However Kai had weapons and tech on his side. Which could help him change this world for better or worse. In panic Kai shouted from within the drivers cabin.

"Fuck, I don't want to die!"

Dirt Road, En route to the Imperial Capitol of Constantinople, IY 1024

"OK, Where the fuck am I!?" Kai's brown eyes scanned the area around him from under his black bangs. No longer was he surrounded by fields and desert, but rather temperate woodland and a dirt road. In the mirror a man on horseback pulled up next to his open window and asked "You lost young man?".

"Uh, yeah you know where this road leads?" Asked Kai rubbing the back of his head. He wore light clothing. Shorts, boots with socks and a tank top. The man then replied "Keep following this road and you'll hit the imperial capitol in about a day's time". With that the man rode away and waved Kai off. Which Kai returned in kind.

Without any other leads, he followed the road at 60 miles per hour 'I hope he wasn't lying, don't want to get caught outside with my pants down'.

Hours passed with nothing but Trees until half way, a large walled off city came into distant view. The walls were simple yet had a majestic air around them. Like this city stood at the centre of a empire. However he saw the corpse of a dragon like beast and three people with a horse and cart. An aftermath of a battle that took place.

Slowing down as he closed the distance. He poked his head out and asked "Any of you guys need a lift?".

The trio looked at him confused, the two adults shook their heads pointing at their cart and horse. It was then a younger boy about Kai's age wearing a white sweatshirt, black pants and boots. His brown bangs not obstructing his emerald eyes. The boy said to Kai.

"Well if you're offering a ride to the Capitol, sure"

After loading up his new passenger and the passengers reward from the merchants. The two made off towards the Capitol of Constantinople. The both of them were silent for a while until Tatsumi asked.

"So why are you heading to the Capitol?"

"Me? Well to be honest I don't know why" Kai Shrugged before coming out with an honest answer "maybe find some work and a way back home I guess". Kai's eyes locked onto the road, as the main gate came into view. Tatsumi then realized they forgot to introduce themselves "Name's Tatsumi"

"Just call me Kai" Kai said smiling at Tatsumi as they stopped, "what about you Tatsumi?".

"Well, Me and My friends are trying to enlist in the army to make money to save out village" Tatsumi said as they drover towards the army Recruitment building stopping on the main road Tatsumi said "Well, good luck".

"You too, I'll wait here in case things go south for you" Kai spoke as he shut the engine off and put the parking brake on. Part of Kai hoped that thing would go smoothly, but then again things never pan out that way he thought.

Within minutes he saw Tatsumi being thrown out of the building. The man who threw him saying something about applicants and a recession. Overall Tatsumi walked back to Kai with a confused and disappointed look upon his face. Pulling his window down Kai said "Didn't work out?".

"Yeah, to be honest I've not thought of a plan B" Tatsumi said with a blank stare on his face. Before they could continue a female voice shouted to them.

"Hi!"

Turning to the source of the voice they were greeted by a buxom blond with revealing clothes that were styled like a western outlaw's. Thought something about her seemed familiar yet unfamiliar to Kai, It was then she said with a furrowed brow.

"Hey try to focus here buddies"

"Let me guess you two try to enlist into the army and make a name for yourselves" Leone Said, bending over and looking Tatsumi and then Kai in the eye.

"Something like that" a Confused Kai spoke up with furrowed brow.

"You two want to know how to get in the army in no time?"

Kai was hesitant, but Tatsumi nodded frantically which got Leone to smile and say, with passionate fervour.

"Well first you'll have to treat me to a meal!~".

Authors Note: And I'm cutting it there, as the next chapter is when the main kick off point for both Kai and Tatsumi's stories truly begin. This Chapter is mainly to establish a motivation and how Kai got to the world of Akame Ga Kill!.

Though this chapter more of less played out similarly to cannon, Chapter one is where the changes begin to slowly snowball from here. Keeping in mind Kai is not very good with people and is armed and dangerous. Feel free to leave a review, I'd like to hear from you.
