Bambi vs. Rudolph

Deep in the woods outside Toon City, there stood a makeshift boxing ring. The corner posts were made of carved wood and the ropes were vines, the soft grass below serving as its canvas. The ring was surrounded by forest animals of all kind who were excited to see the big match that was set to take place tonight.

In one corner was a reindeer, not just any reindeer however, but the leading reindeer of Santa's sleigh; Rudolph. He stood in his corner, hopping from hoof to hoof, his nose light pulsing with each breath he took. He wore a red boxing speedo and matching red gloves, paying tribute to the part of him that made him famous. In his corner was one of Santa's elves and one of his fellow reindeer, namely Dancer. On the other other corner stood his opponent, a young deer by the name of Bambi. Everyone knew him as the prince of the forest, a fact that he wanted to facilitate with this match. He wore a green boxing speedo and matching gloves, which he pounded together as he stared at his opponent. In his corner was his rabbit friend Thumper, as well as his father.

They were called the the center of the ring by a skunk wearing a referee's shirt and whistle, "All right boys, you know the drill. First one to knock their opponent down for 10 seconds wins the match. No low blows and no headbutting. Go back to your corners and wait for the bell." he said.

The two deers bumped their gloves in respect before heading back to their corners. Bambi was being massaged by Thumper while receiving a pep talk from his dad, "Remember son, you are fighting in the name of our royal family. Fight well and fight honorably." Bambi nodded and relaxed himself. Meanwhile, Rudolph was having his gloves tightened by his the elf and being coached by Dancer.

"So Rudy, think you can handle this?" he asked.

"I was always ready." Rudolph replied.

"Good, remember to move fast and don't let up when you get your chance. But remember to be respectful, this kid is a prince after all." he said.

Eventually, the bell rang and both combatants met in the center of the ring with their guards up. Bambi made the first move by throwing a right hook to the reindeer's side, which he took before pegging the prince with a jab to the nose, making him stagger back. Ruldolph didn't let up as he pelted Bambi with multiple jabs and hooks, ending in a haymaker that broke through the deer's guard. Bambi stumbled a little, but shook his head and got back in with his guard up. the deer managed to dodge another hard jab and countered with a straight punch to the cheek, followed by a few hooks to the ribs. The punches knocked the wind out of Rudolph, but he managed to tank through and retaliate with a well timed hook to the head.

The deer's traded blows for a few more minutes until the round ended with Bambi backed into a corner and just barely getting out with a hefty jab to Ruldoph's nose. Bambi slumped in his stool while being fanned by Thumper, while his father reminded him to keep his guard up and to only go in when needed. Rudolph was getting water from the elf while Dancer told him to guard his midsection.

The next round started with Bambi feigning a left jab before launching into a right straight at Rudolph's eye. The feint worked and Ruldolph and sent stumbling, causing Bambi to launch into a combo consisting of fast jabs to his belly and solid uppercuts to his chin. Ruldolph got out with a lucky shove, but not before the prince tripped him up with a sudden cross, making the reindeer fall to the grass.

Bambi went back to his corner while the ref started counting, getting to 6 before Rudolph got up. The fight resumed with Rudolph getting back in his stance with Bambi stalking towards him. With a burst of speed, Ruldolph launched a solid jab to Bambi's nose, followed by an uppercut to his belly. Bambi barely managed to tank the blows before hopping back with a quick punch to the reindeer's chin. The round ended when Ruldoph gave the prince a solid hook to the temple, almost making him fall.

Bambi was left rubbing his belly with his left glove while Thumper fed him water, his father telling him not to get overconfident. Rudolph was trying to distract himself from the black eye he was now sporting while Dancer told him give it everything he got before he was really out. The next round started with both fighters circling cautiously, looking at each other with a focused gaze awaiting the other's next move. It eventually came when Bambi inched closer to his opponent and tried to throw a quick jab to the reindeer's chin, only to be pulled into a clinch. Bambi tried to break out by hammering away at Rudolph's ribs, but he managed to ignore them and pound away at the prince's head.

Right before the ref could break it up, Ruldolph practically tossed his opponent toward the ropes with a brutal cross that sent him careening towards the ropes. The ref went to check on Bambi to see if he could continue, causing Bambi to shake his head and raise his guard with some difficulty. Rudolph knew that it was time to end this now, and so did Bambi.

Both deer's wound up a punch and launched it at each other, a hard thud sounding throughout the area. Bambi's glove only met air as Rudolph dodged his punch and delivered a solid right hook right into the prince's cheek, sending his head snapping sideways and his mouth guard flying out. Time seemed to slow down as Bambi began to stumble and sway before falling backwards onto the ground, his eyes glazed over and unfocused.

The ref got to the count of 8 when Bambi began to stir, but he was too weak to get up. All the spectators cheered as the count of ten was reached and Ruldolph raised his gloves in victory. Dancer and elf cheered loudly while Bambi's father and Thumper went to help him up, saying that he did as good as he can. Rudolph went over to them and bowed to his opponent before raising his glove along with his own. The crowd went crazy over this and applauded them both, wishing for another match between them soon.
