Kol Mikaelson was dead.
Kol Mikaelson, the famous wild card Original Vampire, was dead.
Quite dead.
If that very fact weren't pissing him off to high heaven, he would find the irony humorous. He was the kind of monster who found solace in dark humor, after all. But, the irony of his death, a thousand years after it was due, was doing nothing else that pissing him off. Killed by a hunter. Killed by a novice vampire hunter. By a teenage boy. He wanted to rip something apart. Well, many somethings. He wanted to dig his fangs into the neck of that little hunter and suck him dry and relish in the all too familiar gurgling sound of a human's last breath. He wanted to rip his brother's heart out for the audacity to leave him unavenged and unmourned. He wanted to throw his sister in a box, a dagger in her heart and leave her to miss the lives of these humans she'd gotten attached to, as they were mere minutes for their kind. He wanted to stab stake after stake in his other brother's chest, just to punish him and his damned noble principles, which had left him scheming with the very people who'd killed him.
Kol Mikaelson was quite dead and quite pissed off.
And a vengeful spirit was never a good thing.
A little note:
I've recently been rewatching the Originals and some of The Vampire Diaries and then I had this little idea, so I figured I'd jot it down. So, here are the general stats:
Pairings: Kol/OC; lots of canon pairings; some other OC pairings
Rating: T/M - really depending on the chapters (due to language, Kol's murderous tendencies and the nature of my OC); a warning will be issued at the beginning of each chapter
Chapter length: 4k plus words for each chapter
Updates: I've written up to chapter 5, so depending on my inspiration after that :)
'Verse: Mostly I'm a stickler for canon timelines, but in this case, I will be diverging from it. So, it will likely follow a lot of canon, but with my own additions
Regarding Kol and Davina: I found them cute, but a bad long-run match; simply put, I disliked the way Davina developed throughout the episodes – instead of staying a positive presence, almost innocent and childish, she ended up becoming a vengeful and almost cruel one at times, which I really disliked. Hence, not a big fan of the pairing in later seasons.
Lore: I will be sticking to a lot of TVD lore, but with some additions of my own; I will be citing influences and sources as I go
Final notes: Reviews really help me know that the story is interesting to you and that you'd like to read more of it, which makes me write faster. So, if you enjoyed the chapter, do leave me a note :)
That's all for now, folks!
