Author's Note:
Welcome to my new HB fanfiction! Yay! I had this idea not very long ago and I finally have written it! There will be some mentions of the 70s TV show with Shaun Cassidy and Parker Stevenson (if you haven't watched the show before you should) and its also book based. I love torturing Joe and I found another way to do it! Hehehe! I'll be updating "Brothers" soon. :)

ENJOY! And don't forget to review please! ;) :)

CHAPTER ONE: Are you sure he's my son?

Xavier Stevenson looked at the detective beside him who nodded encouragingly. They were sitting in the limo waiting for the exact moment. He had been waiting for this day for a very long time. He had wanted to find his son...the son that he hadn't found out till his wife at her deathbed told him about the son she had given up for adoption a very long time ago..

Fifteen years ago... He looked at the picture of the young teenager that the detective, Evan Caine had given him. Blond, bright blue eyes, muscular... Must be a jock. Xavier thought. He gets his blond hair from his mother. He smiled ruefully. His wife, Shannon, hadn't known that Xavier was still alive from the airplane crash all those years ago. She said that "she couldn't live without him". But Xavier had survived that airplane crash near the little island near Florida.

"There he is," Caine pointed as teenagers poured out of Bayport High School at three o'clock in the afternoon. Xavier's heart lifted as he searched for the teen that he would claim as his son. He then spotted the blond boy; he was grinning and laughing with a girl who kissed him on the cheek on her tiptoes.

"He's certainly a ladies' man," Xavier chuckled. Caine laughed with him before returning to his serious stature. "What's his name again?"

"Joseph Hardy," Xavier scratched his face thoughtfully.

"Hm, I heard that name before... Hardy..."

"He is the son of Fenton and Laura Hardy, sir," Caine replied sparking a memory.

"Oh yes," Xavier gasped. "He was in the New York City police when I asked them to find my son." He looked up at "Joseph" who was greeted by another boy a year older than him. They grinned and exchanged a few words.

"That is Frank Hardy, Joe's older brother," Caine handed him another photo.

"You have done your research, haven't you?"

"I do my best, sir," Xavier licked his dry lips hoping he wouldn't have too much resistance from the Hardys to do a few tests to see if Joseph Hardy was his long lost son.

"Would you like to go to the Hardys' home first?"

"Yes, I would," Caine turned in his seat to face the millionaire completely face on.

"I would like to let you know that the Hardys' have a reputation for being extremely good detectives,"

"You mean Fenton," Xavier said with a hint of anger in his tone.

"No," Caine shook his head. "Frank and Joseph are also detectives," Xavier's eyes widened bigger than the Starkiller Base itself.

"W-what?"

"...Frank is sixteen and Joe is fifteen and their very popular around Bayport for being sleuths..."

"...Don't tell me their like that girl like Nancy...what's her name?"

"Nancy Drew from River Heights," Caine interjected. "Miss Drew's father is an attorney who is also friends with Fenton Hardy." Xavier shook his head in disbelief. This was just...completely...amazing...

"Are you sure he's my son, Evan?" Xavier asked quietly, looking at the pictures in his hands.

"I'm almost positive but all we need is more evidence and proof to see if he's your son, Mr. Stevenson." Xavier gave a weak smile.

"My late wife would have loved seeing Shaun one more time.. He is my only heir so I must find him."

"...Yes sir. Would you like me to tell the driver to go?"

"Yes," Xavier nodded. "I would like to arrive at the Hardys' house before my son arrives there first." Caine tapped on the glass separating the private area and the front of the limo. The glass rolled down to reveal Xavier's driver, Stanton.

"Stanton, we would like to go to the Hardys' house please, its on Elm Street." Xavier called.

"Yes sir!" He leaned back and closed his eyes wondering what was going to happen next.

Maybe he would meet his long-lost son, Shaun Stevenson for the first time.
