Gangsta Sexy
-STRONG LANGUAGE WARNING- Gang AU - 2008
George's p.o.v
"Hey Johnny, I got a job for ya," Vincent says, as soon as I pick up the phone. This should be interesting; he doesn't usually offer jobs to outside gangs like mine unless he has an issue. "Oh? Go on then as long as we ain't stitched up like last time man," I reply. It was something I was worried about because you can never be to sure what the real intentions of the rival gang might be. "Nah, it ain't gonna be like last time. I got a little problem I need solving. Got this kid that is a good worker, but his particular skill set ain't what we looking for now. I need him taking off my hands," he says. I know why he is asking me to take the kid on, we just kicked someone out and are looking for someone new. I need a moment to think about it though.
Having a new kid in our gang might be good for us though, he'll be fresh eyes on our business, and we could find that his skill set is not something we already have which would be a bonus. I'm the leader and technically I don't need to get the other members permission, but it would help. "Yeah I'll consider it. What's the job part?" I ask him. He knows by consider it I mean that I will run it past the others first and then get back to him either later tonight or tomorrow. "We need you to come get him if you decide to take him on at a location away from our bases you know what I'm saying?" he tells me, and I instantly get it. He doesn't want me to know where his base is, and he knows I won't want him near mine either which is fair.
We're just gonna have to chose a time and a place if I chose to take the kid on. "Yeah, yeah I got you. I'll talk to the guys about it and let you know what we chose either later tonight or tomorrow," I tell him, as we wrap the phone call up. It ends fairly quickly, and I waste no time gathering the others for a meeting to make the decision on the future for the gang. Jorel, Jordon, Matthew and Dylan come to the meeting room pretty quickly. We've been discussing the possibility of having a new member in the gang since the decision was made to kick Aron out and see what needs to happen from there. "Just got off the phone with Vincent and he says he has a kid in their gang who's skillset is not needed in there anymore and if we would take him on," I tell them.
I am guessing by kid that he is pretty young. I don't know what skillset this kid has either since Vincent is known for being pretty vague, but we will have to wait and see. "Huh, I think giving this kid a shot might be worth it. He might find a solution to the problem that cunt left behind for us to deal with," Dylan says. I don't think anyone else would have an issue with it, but it would be nice to hear it from them personally. I want to hear from all of them their reasons for this or their reasons for being against it and I won't take offense to it. I would rather have their opinions now and deal with it than have this new kid introduced and the don't like it. "I'd say let's give this kid a shot. It's about time we had a new face here," Jordon says.
"Yeah the others are right, it is a gamble having someone new onboard, but it feels like it could really work well in our favor," Jorel tells me. It makes sense, there is that conflict inside your head to see if the risk is actually worth taking or not. "Yeah I can't find any reason to say no. We have lost a lot at this point and we can't lose anything else," Matthew tells me. That is also another fair point that I have to take into consideration as well myself. I know I have the approval of everyone else and now it is my turn to have a think and decide. It is a huge risk, but like they have said we don't stand to lose anything if we give this a shot. Aron "Deuce" Erlichman has screwed up the very business I worked so damn hard on to build from the ground up.
"If you all agree, then I'm gonna call Vincent up and arrange a time and a place to come and pick up the kid sometime this week or something. I think this is going to be a good opportunity for us," I tell them, and I am glad that I can see hope and some slight excitement in their eyes I have not seen since Aron left and took so much away from us with him. I am a little bit nervous to see how it is going to go down, but I know that if this works out then this is going to be the best thing for our business. It is going to be a long haul, but anything is worth trying to keep ourselves going through the next few days, weeks, months, and hopefully years. It was hard enough having to kick him out, but to learn that Aron has been stealing from us for months.
That almost broke us as a gang/family. We were left with a backstabbing piece of shit and a loss of a lot of business and stock that we sold to other gangs which left us in a tricky situation. We had people coming to us asking where there stock is and what they wanted from us and we had to awkwardly tell them what had happened and rush to get the stock back to give it to them so we could keep our heads and to make sure that we don't have different gangs coming after us because we can't fulfill our duties to them. We're currently managing the situation pretty well so far. We do need to figure out how to keep it going long term because I am pretty sure that none of this is going to last forever and our current solution won't either.
I managed to negotiate with Vincent that I am picking up the kid tomorrow at around noon from a local park. It's all going to happen in a way that if people look at us that they won't think that anything is going on like a kidnapping or anything. We'll meet up and the kid will come back with me. Hopefully, the kid in the middle of all of this is going to be okay with it. I don't think Vincent really cares too much for the lower downs that is why he is so desperate to hand him over to someone else. In my gang I am proud to say that it is different, and everyone is treated the same and no one feels like they are below someone else. That is what I have always wanted since I started the Hollywood Undead gang all those years ago. Tomorrow will be fine.
I let the boys have the pleasure of destroying the furniture in the old room which this kid will be given and then once they have had their fun and have gone off to Ikea to get all of the new furniture I start with a fresh coat of blue pain on all of the walls. It was a disgusting color before, and I think blue can have quite a calming effect which is what I want. Being forced from the life you know into a completely new gang who operates differently will be stressful and I want to make sure I am doing everything in my power to make him feel safe, secure, and welcomed in his new home and new environment for at least a couple of days if not a week before assigning him to some tasks with Dylan just to get the hang of things to begin with.
This is the plan that I have for the new kid while we have the transition period from him being in the gang Vincent runs to the one I run. The key thing for me will be to make sure he knows that he is safe with us and everything will be done in his time. We're not in a major rush to get back to our major operations while we are still recovering from the losses we suffered when Aron left. Now is a perfect time to get a new kid on board and show him what we are like as people as well as our gang side. Our girlfriends are moving in soon too so I would rather get all of the hard stuff out of the way now and instead of trying to get him used to new people then four more new people walk in and move in too. Now I know what people looking in on our lives would be thinking.
We are trying our best to keep our real identities and our gang lives as separate from each other as possible. That's why we have the setup we have. It looks like an ordinary 6 bedroom nice house in a nice neighborhood, but in the basement is where all of the gang stuff happens. The girls are aware that we do it but want no part in it which is fair enough. We were never going to force them either as it would help to keep those lives separate. For example most people will know me as a 27 year old man called George Ragan who has a girlfriend called Asia, but what people will never know is that I am also the leader of the Hollywood Undead gang called Johnny 3 Tears who has done a lot of stuff which if they connected the two would lead to a lifetime in jail or even death row.
I'm glad that the guys took out their anger on the furniture that we needed to get rid of and they went to dispose of it before going to Ikea to get new furniture. We will let the new kid chose some of his own stuff to decorate the room with and make it his own. I go through with my plan to paint the walls a calming blue color, he can always paint over them if he choses to. That is what I am going to offer and all he can do is either accept it or deny it. Once the coats of paint are dry and I am satisfied with how it looks the guys come back with a desk, double bed, and a dresser along with a chair and some other basics we can put together for the new kid. If the five of us get this all built it can be done tonight before it is too late, and we don't have to rush or worry about it in the morning.
The next morning – George p.o.v
Time to go and get the new kid. I am still really excited to see how the day pans out for us. We just did a few final touches to the room like make sure that he has clean bedsheets and some clean clothes he can chose from. While we get to know the kid I suppose a couple of trips out to stores like Target or a clothing store won't be too bad. Jorel has a little worry that we won't be able to establish our way of life with the new guy quick enough, but I have faith we will. The way we are doing this lends itself to being able to set any boundaries no issue. He's not going to be diving straight into drug runs or anything like that so we can take our time to get him used to everything before showing him how we operate and get him on board with his skill set.
I try to act calm even though I am going to the park in my mask to protect my real identity to get this kid from Vincent who probably doesn't even know where he is going. It might not even be Vincent delivering him to me, it could be his second in command Leo who does it. Either way this is not going to look normal no matter which way we actually do things. All we can do is hope and pray that no one decides to call the cops on us for kidnap. I think we chose the wrong time, a lot of people come here for picnics at this time with their kids. I'm just ready for when a kid goes "Hey mommy what's that guy doing over there?" It has happened way too many times before to others for me to feel comfortable. This better be quick or Vincent is paying my bail money.
It was Leo who was there which was a shame since I wanted to say hi to Vincent in person. The kid seemed to be about Jordon's age which is 22 years old, but I could be wrong. Vincent has never cared for the lower ranks, so he never asks for their names, ages or where they came from they are just all kid to him. "Right kid, you're gonna be with this guy now like I said in the car. Try not to cause too much trouble," Leo says, and basically shoves this poor terrified and confused young man in my direction. He wasn't expecting it, so of course I had to catch the kid to stop him from falling on his face. I quickly glanced around to make sure it didn't catch the attention of anyone, and it didn't. I said goodbye to Leo, and we walked back to my car.
The first thing that I noticed about my new companion was how terrified he was. This kid clearly had some deep shit going on. He walked as close to me as he could get, and I didn't mind. He's got an innocent look in those brown eyes which is a little weird considering he's been in the gang life for a while. I took my mask off when we got into the car, he's going to be seeing both so why not start now. "Do you have a name or is kid all you have ever known?" I ask, I don't really want to be calling him kid the whole time if I am being honest. It does what Leo and Vincent want, brings the lower ones down so they obey every rule and do whatever is asked of them. "Well they never cared to ask. It's Danny," Danny says, and it's evident he's been with them for a long time as he has picked up Patrick's Irish accent.
Patrick is the man in Vincent's gang who is in charge of dealing with any collateral. If they have to kill someone and the kid is there as a witness, they kidnap them and raise them in the ways of the gang. They are called the Irish Warriors purely and simply because they all end up with the same Irish accent as the sick and twisted man raising them. "Nice to meet you Danny. You've probably heard my name is Johnny 3 Tears but since you're going to be one of the Undead Army now you can call me George," I tell him. He seems shocked that it was going to be his life from now on, but I suppose that comes with the level of knowledge of what is going on that they have not given him. Which does not seem to be a lot at all by the sounds of it.
"Leo didn't tell me what was going on. He just said I was being transferred to a new gang and that was it. They were rumors of the famous Hollywood Undead taking on an Irish Warrior, but I never took real notice of it, thought it was like a late April fools joke or something," Danny tells me, and he gave me a little more insight into it. He's definitely an Irish Warrior, I already knew that purely on his accent alone. It also makes more sense as to why he has been handed over to me. There is a high turnover rate in the Irish Warriors, they often send them off to other gangs or just out of the gang completely to make room for newer recruits. "Fair enough, Leo and Vincent have never really told anyone what goes on, not even I got a lot of information on you other than you have a skillset that might be useful," I tell him.
I feel like we're going to be honest from the get-go and it will make the transfer a lot better. We are a lot different than the gang he came from and he's already noticing it. Then again from the little I know about the Irish Warriors I know it is not a good place to start out gang life. "Yeah, those who leave never come back and I always assumed they'd died like our parents had done," he tells me, and I appreciate the bluntness of that statement. There was a reason why kidnapping those young kids was so important to them. They are not always that careful with keeping their identities hidden from those around them so the kids know names and can go to the police with that information. I do have to give them credit though, it is very well and thoroughly planned out.
There is not much else that I learn about Danny other than I was right he is 22 and turning 23 later on this year. It puts him right in between Jordon and Dylan in terms of age. He also seems to be more technologically savvy which is a skillset we have never had before and could definitely have use of here. He knows how to use a gun and some other weapons which again will also be useful when necessary. This is definitely going to be good for us. I am still getting used to the Irish accent though, but it is quickly growing on me. "For the rest of today I think we're just going to take it easy, get you settled into the house and get you to know the others before working on the gang side of things in the next couple of days," I tell him.
This is definitely a lot to get used to and a lot to take in and I don't want him to feel like he was going to be rushed into anything that is not comfortable. Then early next week Asia, Jordon's girlfriend Randi, and Jorel's girlfriend Vanessa are moving into the main house. They all know about the new guys arrival and I'll be updating Asia with as much information as I can later on tonight. I want this to go smoothly as possible and Danny seems to be happy that he is moving in with us but only time will tell for sure with it. We get to the garage and I walk with Danny up to the main floor of the house where I could smell the lunch Dylan was making. I looked to Danny and he seemed surprised by how good the food smells. I guess they are in charge of making their own meals over there.
"You hungry Dan?" I ask him, and he nods. At least he likes the possibility of several nicknames we could give him that are better than kid. We walk into the kitchen just as Dylan plates up his chicken enchiladas for all 6 of us. "Just in time, I thought you were gonna be back around lunch, so I made you both some," Dylan tells us. I smile at my young friend and encourage Danny to come and sit with me, so we can enjoy lunch and he can get to know Dylan a little bit before the others emerge from wherever they are chilling. "Thanks Dylan. By the way meet Danny," I say, before taking a bite of my lunch and letting the two younger ones get to know each other better. I could see Jorel looking at us from the doorway with curiosity.
Jorel walks in and Dylan hands him his plate. It is safe to say Danny is showing that he is a good fit for us so far. "Since when were they giving other gangs their Irish Warriors?" Jorel asks, after a few minutes of listening to Danny talk and introduce himself. I thought they often gave the Irish Warriors to other gangs to make way for new members, but apparently I am so wrong on that one. "Since Vincent called me yesterday apparently," I tell him. I don't think Danny really cared at this point, he was more relaxed now and probably enjoying the warm cooked meal he had in front of him. "Vincent has given some to gangs he doesn't consider to be his enemies a couple of times, but it is not often," Danny says. That makes sense.
They are supposed to be those that are trained to be the best of the best and will have a lot of information that in the wrong hands could easily bring down the gang without them even realizing. I think that is where a lot of Leo's issues have come from in the last few months. We are on friendly terms with them, but we would not consider them to be our allies. Danny and Jorel get to know each other, and I am getting more confident that I have made the right choice. Danny is fitting in really well and I know he will get along with everyone eventually. I am not expecting it to be an immediate thing, I think I would be an idiot if I put that expectation on them. All of our worlds have been turned upside down and it is hard for anyone to deal with.
Matt introduced himself a little while later while Danny was getting used to the place and that was about it. I heard Dylan tell Danny not to worry about any stiff reaction from Matt as we all took the betrayal personally and some took it harder than others. Matt was one of the ones out of all of us who took it the hardest. He was in charge of making sure that the stock was kept safe and other things like that, and Aron went behind his back and ruined everything that he worked hard to build so of course he was taking it personally. I've tried my best to keep him calm and to reassure him that as the leader and as a brother of sorts that I never blamed and will never blame him because at the end of the day Aron is a piece of shit and a cunning one.
I noticed after a while Danny started to shut down and become more and more tense. He had met all of the guys at this point, and we had given him the tour of the house part letting him know where his room is and where he could go whenever he wanted. I walk over to the couch Danny was sitting on and joined him. The guys haven't been unwelcoming to Danny, they aren't like that especially when they were watching him with concern at this very moment. I get eye contact with Danny and he shuffles towards me. "You can go and chill in your room you know? We aren't going to be mad at you, we know this is a lot," I tell him. I could see the guys nod in agreement with me and I put my hand gently on the young lad's shoulder.
Danny whispers in my ear, "I kind of forgot where you said my room is." I stand up and pull him up and we walk out of the room together. The guys would not have made fun of if Danny had said out loud he forgot where his room is. This place is literally a maze and even we get the rooms mixed up every now and again. I have walked in to Jorel's room thinking it was mine many times before. "Don't worry Danny, we're not gonna expect you to memorize the house layout straight away," I tell him, as we walk up the stairs and to his new bedroom. He does like the style of it for now, it is better than the mass room he shared with 20 other people he had before according to him. That makes sense because Patrick didn't really care that much.
"Right, I'm gonna leave you to have some alone time. Feel free to shout if you need us for anything even if it is just for some chit chat. You're one of us now and we will treat you as if you have always been here," I tell him. I wanted to make that clear because one of the things that I knew Danny needed was people that cared about him for more than just what he is worth to the gang side. He was ripped from his parents at a young age and forced into a kill or be killed world where no one actually cares about the emotional well being of the children/young adults involved. "Thanks George," Danny says, and I nod in a you're welcome kinda way and leave him to some peace and quiet. I have a changed opinion on Patrick now I know more about his little faction.
I definitely could see a gang forming where they are former Irish Warriors who's only mission in live is to free the others and give them a chance of both a childhood and a gang free life they were denied purely and simply because someone in their family has failed to pay either Vincent or Leo for their drugs and they chose family as their collateral. It must be weird for someone to get used to that being all they can remember now Leo has shoved them towards a totally new way of life and gang style. I bet he has not even had a chance to grieve for his parents since the day they were murdered in front of him. He has not said much, just explained to us in general whatever Irish Warrior goes through from the time they are taken until they leave.
I go back to the others who still look concerned, but more relaxed now that I have returned. "I think he is as okay as he can be considering this time yesterday he was in a room with twenty other people from age three to twenty where they have microwave meals at best and now he is in a house with his own room and only five other men and he is fed warm homemade meals," I tell them. It really puts it into prospective what kind of privilege you have over other gangs purely based on how you were raised and how you apply it to the way you run things. I would like to think that the way I care for my members works well in my favor when it comes to how well we work as a team and how well they think that they get treated here. We've been running full time for 4 years now and we have quickly proven ourselves as a worthy gang compared to the others.
"Poor kid, like yeah I know he's not much younger than us and older than Dylan but Jesus what a life to have lived through up until today and even today has been a lot to take in," Jorel says. I think the best way to go about this at the moment is to give Danny plenty of space to get used to what has changed and get everything settled or sorted in his head and then just be around in case he wants to come and talk to us to see if we could help him make sense of things. Dylan is still going to offer meals for him cause it's just nice to have something cooked with fresh ingredients and it's another part of the teamwork where we use each other's strengths to boost the other person's weakness. Some people are better at different life skills than others.
I update Asia though text on how today has gone. I think it has gone well considering we didn't really know what we were walking into by accepting Danny but once he gets used to everything he's gonna be amazing and experience things he has never had the chance to before. Asia is excited to meet Danny and said anyone who is a nicer person than Aron is more than welcome in her eyes. It is not that hard to find someone nicer to be honest. Anyone who is not a total arrogant douchebag is better than Aron in my eyes at least. I think for some of the guys Danny will need to prove himself first before he is completely accepted in, but I have faith that it will happen. All I need to do is find a good teamwork job to send them on.
That is all for another time though. I will send Dylan and Jordon on their drug runs as usual in the meantime though. We have gotten most of our stock back and tonight they are going out to distribute and deal. "You two still up for tonight? Feel free to direct them to me if they ask about the douchebag," I tell the lads. One thing I have to do as leader is take responsibility for the failures of the gang and that is what I am going to do. If they want to know why their supply of drugs is late ask me and I'll tell them straight. They will hate Aron as much as we do because we have built up that level of trust and respect between us. Aron has been trying to hike the price up too much for them and has pretty much set himself up for failure.
At the end of the day the guys we distribute to want a profit and if you are selling it to them at too high a price they are not going to go with you because they have to think of their clients and their happiness and if they have to put their own price up because the gang they are buying from put their price up then they are going to vote with their feet. "Yeah we can handle them if we need to but if we can't we'll tell them to give you a call," Jordon says. I don't see any reason why they would have much of an issue as soon as you mention that our price is way lower than Aron's new set up they are gonna stay with us. There will be some who will move but it makes no never mind to me. The true ones will stick with us regardless and that is what I am counting on.
Danny makes an appearance when Dylan calls him for dinner a few hours later. I try and gauge his emotions by looking on his face, but Danny is by no means an open book. Dylan went up to say what he was cooking which was Gammon with a golden syrup, brown sugar, and soy sauce, with a pineapple ring, a jacket potato and sweetcorn and peas. To be fair Dylan makes a wide variety of really good meals and Danny seems to be enjoying them. Anything would be better than the same old microwave pasta or curry I bet. After dinner we give Danny the choice of staying and talking to us before Dylan and Jordon leave or just going back to his room, so he can have more alone time to process everything. I wash up while Danny heads back to his room.
He comes back out shortly after Jordon and Dylan leave to go on their drug run of the evening. I think everything has calmed down somewhat after the hectic day we have had so far. Danny comes to join me, and I put my arm around his shoulder. If he wanted me to not do that then he would push my arm away. "How are you feeling now Danny?" I ask him. It was important for me to get an idea of where people are at in terms of feelings and emotions to see if I can do anything to help. "I'm okay thanks George. Think I am getting used to this slowly," Danny replies, and it makes me glad everything is going well so far. I want to take him under my wing so to speak and be at least an older brother figure in his life. He needs that in his life.
"That's good. The last thing that we want right now is for you to feel rushed into anything. Right now all we are going to do is get you used to the house," I tell him. I think I told him earlier on today that we aren't going anywhere near the gang related things for at least a week if not two depending on how things go. If Danny gets along with the girls and everyone and settles in nicely then I'll go for it sooner, if not there is no harm in waiting an extra week or two. I'd rather have him ready to take on the new jobs and find out where he'd fit best instead of throwing him in the deep end with something that he has no experience with and would struggle a lot with. I have no idea what the Irish Warriors were even trained to do in terms of like drug deals or murders or stealing.
I'd think that I could safely assume that they definitely would have done stealing, like a miniature army of Irish pick pockets. "George I think someone finally feels safe," Jorel whispers, and I look to Danny. While we had been thinking or watching television he had gotten closer to me and had fallen asleep with his head resting on my shoulder. "He must have been exhausted, I'll carry him to bed in a little bit," I whisper back. There's not much point in moving him now while he is comfortable, I am comfortable, and it probably has not been that long since he had fallen asleep. He will need to get used to the new schedule because we have a pretty relaxed one right now. Since we are not really doing much in terms of gang stuff there's no need for a schedule.
After about an hour we all decided to head to bed and now was the time for me to carry Danny hopefully, without waking him up which would be nice. I don't know how heavy he is though so it could either go really smoothly or bumpy as hell. It went smoothly as I discovered he's pretty light and probably a little on the underweight side. Nothing to be too concerned about because I know that with Dylan's meals he'll be back to good in no time. Danny had gotten changed into comfier bed type clothes, so I didn't have to worry about that, but I did tuck him in a little bit. He's gotta be comfortable at least, and warm since it's not exactly typical Californian summer weather here yet. It will be soon enough but even then you might want a blanket.
Well that is the end of the first chapter. Let me know if ya enjoyed it and see ya next time I guess
