extended summary::

Maize had lived quite a dreamful childhood; by the age of ten she had visited four countries and seventeen states. Of course she didn't remember most of it as her parents had moved around quite a bit while she was a toddler; the girl had somehow gripped onto that want to travel and vowed to visit everywhere and anywhere she was able to. However, all of her dreams were stripped away the moment a doctor's appointment had shown her blood was off; an anomaly most humans didn't have. This mutation was different than anything the doctor had seen, however her parents knew the reason behind it.

The young girl wasn't aware of the kind of what kind of jobs her parents did, but she knew they were scientists for a secretive government agency; at least, that's what they told her. When they began packing the essentials and began speeding off toward their hidden cabin in the forests, they explained the agency wanted her and they refused to hand the girl over. Maize believed her parents were heroes for their courage, but had been quickly proven wrong.

That agency, Global-1, had found where they were hiding and ripped the mother away from Maize. The young girl watched as her parents were both shot in the head, execution style, and stood frozen as the man who fired the weapon picked her up and took her away to become a prisoner to Global-1.

Maize, indeed, had a mutation however was not activated until the night her parents died. The girl had the ability to manipulate metal and to keep her sedated, the agency located her only living relative – her aunt, who was also a scientist of biochemistry – and threatened to kill her aunt if Maize were to go against the rules. So she listened, obeyed and laid still while they experimented on her and on blood with the fear of losing someone else in her life.

Finally the agency was done with all their experiments and life suddenly became a routine for Maize. She no longer fought against them but worked for them - secretly trying to come up with a plan to take down the agency. With her ability, Global-1 rented her out to HYDRA where she was assigned the duty of overseeing the Winter Soldier during his missions; should he over step, or was unable to complete the task, Maize was to rip his metal arm from his body and return the soldier to HYDRA where they would resume their brainwashing schemes.

With HYDRA taken down by Captain America and those left in S.H.E.I.L.D., Maize's first priority is to take down Dr. Schneidner for revenge.
