BLEACH: TO FIGHT- REBORN ARC PART I

An all-white Adjuchas resembling a Hyena trudges across the sandy desert of Hueco Mundo. Its entire back and the top of its paws are covered with spikes.

The Hyena feels the ground beneath its feet shake. It looks behind itself and sees a large, gray Adjuchas with a mask similar to a Cyclops approaching.

"You there, tiny mutt!" shouted The Cyclops with a deep, rumbling voice.

The Hyena turns around and faces The Cyclops. "What is it?" he asked in an annoyed tone.

"I spotted you a ways back!" exclaimed The Cyclops, "I have traveled through all of Hueco Mundo devouring many Adjuchas! You will be my next meal!"

"Okay," he responded uninterestingly.

"Hmmm, that is an unexpected response," said The Cyclops, "Are you so afraid that you do not know how to feel? I would not blame you! All who face me cower with utter fear; unable to fight back!"

"No," said The Hyena, "it's because you are a weakling."

The Cyclops lets out a mighty roar that echoes throughout the night sky. "How dare you! You are in the presence of the great Rilnong Grindulde! I will become a Vasto Lorde! I will become King of Hueco Mundo! I will become immortal!"

"Whatever," responded The Hyena.

The Hyena turns his back to Rilnong and trudges along.

"Hold it right there!" yelled Rilnong.

"What's the point," said The Hyena, "You'll just die a pointless death. Are you that eager to die for nothing?"

"Grrrrrr, that is it!" howled Rilnong.

Rilnong opens his mouth; he creates a red Cero and fires it. The blast shakes the ground and forms a large, pillowy cloud of dust.

"Insolent mutt! How dare he insult me!" exclaimed Rilnong, "Eating someone rotten like him will leave a bad taste in my mouth."

"That's rich, coming from an annoying pest like you," said The Hyena.

The dust cloud clears out; The Hyena stands next to the small crater.

"You!" said a shocked Rilnong, "How did you survive?!"

"I dodged," he quipped.

"Impossible," Rilnong thought to himself, "the distance between us was close. He could not have dodged that. I must have somehow missed."

"Are you done?" asked The Hyena in a bored tone.

"Not yet!" yelled an enraged Rilnong.

Rilnong clenches his fist and throws a punch at The Hyena.

"This should do it," Rilnong thought to himself, "I won't miss this time. He will be crushed by my fist!"

Rilnong's fist makes contact with The Hyena's spikes. The spikes pierce his fist causing it to spew blood.

"OWWWWW!" howled Rilnong, "Just who the hell are you?!"

"My name is Gantier Llepin," he said.

Gantier leaps into the air; he dives straight down and plunges the spikes on his two front paws deep into Rilnong's throat, killing him instantly.

Gantier sits on top of Rilnong's lifeless body.

"You could have just left me alone," he said to the corpse, "Ri-Re-hell I don't even remember your name."

Gantier hops off of Rilnong's body, "Why does everyone throw their life away for nothing?" he thought to himself, "No point in overthinking it. I need to replenish."

Gantier opens his mouth and starts to eat Rilnong.

*s*

Gantier wakes up to a loud scream coming from a nearby hill.

"What the hell?" he said to himself.

Gantier gets up and walks over to the top of the hill. He looks down the slope and sees a group of humans in all-white uniforms slaughtering a group of Arrancars.

"Someone, help!" cried out a wounded Arrancar.

A human stabs the helpless Arrancar through the chest with a spear, "That's enough from you!" yelled the person.

The small group of humans slowly corral the Arrancar group into a small circle.

Gantier crouches down, "Those are Arrancar, but those humans are piercing their Hierro like it's nothing," he thought to himself.

"Are they worth keeping, Wenzol?" asked a woman.

"No," he responded, "Captain Gerelina only wants those who we think are strong."

"Please spare us!" pleaded a male Arrancar.

"Let's get this done quickly," said Wenzol.

"This is bad," Gantier thought to himself, "I can't let them see me. If they can kill Arrancars with ease, I'll be dead within seconds."

As Gantier starts to walk away he hears the blood-curdling screams of the Arrancars being slaughtered.

"Just ignore them," he said to himself, "Don't go needlessly throwing your life away. You can't do anything for them."

Gantier continues to hear the Arrancar screaming. He begins to slow down, "Don't…do it," he said to himself begrudgingly.

Gantier stops and curls into a ball. "What's wrong with me?" he thought to himself, "Why did I stop? What is this feeling in my stomach?"

Gantier struggles to get up, "I…have to…keep…going," he thought to himself.

As Gantier stands up he hears someone scream, "SOMEBODY SAVE US!"

Gantier lets out a mighty roar. He starts to bash his head repeatedly against a sitting boulder.

"What am I doing?" he thought to himself, "Why would I try to fight them? Why would I throw my life away like every other Hollow?"

Gantier continues to bash his head over and over again; the boulder starts to crack. He lets out one final yell and smashes his head at full force.

*s*

Wenzol stabs the last Arrancar.

"You Arrancars can't even compare to us Quincys," he said to the corpse.

"Alright everyone," said Wenzol, "I think we covered a good distance today. Let's head back to camp and-"

Before he could finish, the group feels a strong spiritual pressure weigh down on all of them. It lasts for another few seconds before it subsides.

"What was that?" asked a nervous Quincy.

"Is there another Arrancar nearby?" asked another.

"Stay calm everyone," stated Wenzol, "Andric and Baldur, head north and check the nearby surrounding areas. Ivonel and Gerenn, head south and do the same thing."

"Yes sir," responded the four scouts.

*s*

Gantier slowly opens his eyes.

"What happened?" he said to himself.

He slowly gets up but falls to his knees. He looks down and sees human hands and legs.

"What the fuck?" he said confusingly to himself, "Did they capture me? Wait, it couldn't be?"

Gantier begins to slowly stand up again, "Are these…mine?"

He looks on the ground next to him and notices a katana in its saya. He picks it up and observes the blade.

"Look, an Arrancar!" shouted Andric.

Gantier looks in the direction of the voice and sees them standing a couple yards away from him.

"Why is it naked?" asked Baldur. "It doesn't matter," responded Andric, "We need to capture it and bring it back to Wenzol."

The two Quincy scouts run towards Gantier.

"Shit, what do I do?" panicked Gantier.

He looks at the sword in his hand. He rips it out of its saya and holds it in front of himself.

Andric lunges forward with his spear. Gantier swings his sword and strikes it between Andric's hands causing Andric to fall forward.

Baldur charges from behind Gantier and lunges his spear towards Gantier's back.

"You're dead!" exclaimed Baldur.

Gantier uses Sonído and quickly dodges the spear.

"Shit!" Baldur thought to himself, "Where did it go?!"

Gantier appears behind Baldur and stabs him through the chest with his sword.

"Baldur!" shouted Andric

Gantier rips his sword out of the lifeless Baldur and throws him to the ground.

"You'll pay for this, you filthy beast!" yelled Andric.

Andric lunges forward with his spear again. This time, Gantier leaps up to dodge and kicks Andric square in the head.

Andric stumbles around disorientated. "I can't see straight," he thought to himself, "I have to go warn the others."

As Andric turns around to run back, Gantier appears in front of him suddenly. He slashes Andric across his throat causing him to spew a massive amount of blood, killing Andric instantly.

Gantier bends down and looks in the reflection of Andric's spear.

"This is me," Gantier thought to himself, "I'm an Arrancar now."

He touches his mask; it covers his eyes and the top of his nose and wraps around the mid-section of his head.

He then touches his short, spikey black hair and notices his thin, muscular build.

"Why did I become an Arrancar?" he said to himself, "I don't have time to think about this. I need to get going before the rest of them come looking for these two."

As Gantier walks away, he stops and looks back in the direction the two Qunicys came from.

"I doubt there are any survivors," he thought to himself, "Even if there were any, I still wouldn't go back. I'm not going to throw my life away like that."

Gantier continues walking in the opposite direction of the Quincy group.

Off in the distance, the Arrancar Roka Paramia watches Gantier walk off. She turns around and walks away.

*s*

Sometime later, Wenzol and his small Quincy group investigate Andric and Baldur's corpses.

"How awful," said one Quincy.

"How long have they been dead?" asked Ivonel.

"We don't know," responded another Quincy, "Couldn't have been too long now."

Wenzol analyzes the footprints in the sand.

"This is odd," he thought to himself, "We have Andric and Baldur's footprints. But there is another set here and a set of dog tracks."

He follows Gantier's Hyena tracks and ends up at the cracked boulder. He looks at the ground and notices the appearance of the human footprints.

"I think I get it now," Wenzol says out loud, "Andric and Baldur were killed by a newly birthed Arrancar."

"How do you know?" asked Gerenn.

"The sudden appearance of these human footprints, the sword marks on their bodies, and that reiatsu we felt a while ago all add up to either an Adjuchas or a Vasto Lorde just becoming an Arrancar," said Wenzol, "Ivonel, Gerenn, head back to camp and tell Executive Captain Gerelina about this new Arrancar. Bring her back here to the bodies."

"Of course," said Gerenn, "but what will you do?"

"We're going to hunt down this Arrancar ourselves," he responded while pointing to Gantier's footprints in the sand.

"Will six of you be enough?" asked Ivonel.

"It should," responded Wenzol.

Ivonel and Gerenn make their way east while Wenzol and the rest of the group make their way north.
