"We need a revolution," the lions all turned towards the girls dorms. A small, petite 2nd year stood there, clutching a red book to her chest. "What do you mean?" Ron asked. She set down her book. "It's clear that Umbridge is working under Fudge's orders to try to take over Hogwarts. But they're purebloods. They didn't grow up with the demigods and tributes. But we did. We need a revolution, and they can give it to us," "You'll get caught and expelled," Hermione interjected. The 2nd year looked at her. There was both a raging fire and a great sadness in her blue eyes. "So? The Ministry is in denial, Umbridge won't teach us anything, and the Snakes are getting worse with every passing hour," she picked up her book and showed the cover to everyone. "Would you rather live a life as the Capitol, or would you rather die fighting them?" The book was the first book of the 'Mockingjay' series. A 4th year student stood up. "I agree. The way things are going, none of us are going to pass exams. I say we take a leaf out of our books and fight back," Hermione worried her bottom lip. "And how are you going to do that, exactly?" the 2nd year smiled. "Well...anyone want to pass a message to the other 2 houses? We aren't the cast of les miserables, but we are their readers, their watchers. And we're gonna need back up,"
Hermione stared as the 2nd year dug into her bag that had been laying on the floor and pulled out an Orange T-shirt that she was sure was from Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson series, what looked like full Shadowhunter gear, a mockingjay pin, a few other books, some she didn't even recognize, a crown, a necklace that had an angle on it that emitted gentle ticking sounds, a Divergent sticker, a sonic screwdriver replica, a deerstalker, and a lightsaber. "I brought these along so I could have things to do during weekends" she explained as she emerged from the seemingly never-ending bag. "Everyone, gather around. One person to represent each fandom," the 4th year called.
Meanwhile, in the Hufflepuff room-
Justin bit his lip as nearly everyone turned to stare at him. He was starting to regret giving Harry so much bad rep these past years. Standing up, he went to get his bag and trunk down. Once a fanboy, always a fanboy, he thought to himself as he set them down. "What's a fandom anyways?" someone asked as he dug into them to find his treasured books. "A fandom is another world,"Justin replied almost instantly. His hand suddenly brushed something hard, and he grinned. "Another world? What?" the same person asked. He stood up, his arms full of books. "A fandom is another world that provides readers escape. Like⦠Like doctor Who. The lions said we're performing a rebellion. We might as well do it the proper way. Demigods, anyone?"
Meanwhile, in the Ravenclaw room-
The excited 3rd year girl came down bouncing down from her dorm and threw an array of stuff onto the floor. There was a huge SPQR sweater, a Mark of Athena book, a Cabin 6 shirt, a Camp half Blood banner, and a blue Yankees cap. Now, unlike the other houses, the word fandom was actually a well-known concept passed down from 7th year to 1st, over and over again, because there was always at least one entire fandom in the house at any given time. So instead of a million questions, the 'claw's who weren't in with the Snakes grabbed a bunch of books from the shelf and threw them into the pile, while more muggleborns fetched their own fandom materials. And the ones who did work with the snakes? Well, when they finally came back into the dorm they found that they were unable to get in unless they answered the fandom's questions correctly.
